my hydreigon's most recent clutch has hatched, and she is surprisingly attached to them this go around!

this year's clutch ended up with one standard, one shiny, one albino, one amelanistic, and one melanistic. what are the chances!

I did do the mm breed of chinchar so I could hunt the eevee mass outbreaks on kitikami for a shiny eevee to make into a sylveon for the team.

Lucky me! the date changed, and I got an eevee mass outbreak before going to the community center. I try to not have more then one shiny caught in the same place if possible.

So I wasted no time in getting this outbreak down to not many left of this outbreak, made a lvl 1 jam sandwich, and just did picnic SR'ing till the white fox appeared!

I did not keep count of how many I KO'ed or how many picnic SRs I did. However, it only took 1 hour and 25 mins for it to appear! and it was on the first mass outbreak I checked!

The 7th shiny of the game and the second member of the teal mask dlc team is eevee, which I evolved to sylveon, one of my blog's 2 mascots!

Tbh, I only really need the one shiny eevee, so now it's back to rookiedee hunting before I start my shiny sprigaitio mm hunt!

Okay all these people talking about their shiny luck makes me so jealous. Because I have been playing since Gen 1 and I have never in my entire career encountered a single wild shiny (besides the scripted red gyrados). I played every mainline gen, every remake gen, even Legends Arceus which is famous for pumping out shiny mon. Never even encountered a wild one let alone caught one.

NOT ONE??? EVEN IN THE GEN 6 FRIEND SAFARI THAT HAS LIKE A 1/600 SHINY CHANCE???? THAT'S SO UNLUCKY I WAS BEATING OFF SHINY HAUNTERS WITH A STICK IN THE FRIEND SAFARI 😭😭😭

AND EVEN IN LGPE WITH THE SUPER EASY SHINY HUNTING METHOD???? people literally complained that it was too easy to shiny hunt in "let's go" and that kanto shinies weren't special anymore 😭😭😭

at this point you might want to RNG manipulate a gen 4 game to exploit the Cute Charm glitch that gives you like a 1 in 3 chance to get a shiny for all pokemon with a chosen gender ratio 😔😔😔

#oceandi answers #kriss-watches-stuff #masuda method?? have you masuda method'ed??? in gen 7 you can do the swap method where you hatch magikarp eggs until you get a shiny #and then switch out the egg to the pokemon you want instead #because it's based on what number the egg is and not the egg's inherent traits #got gene's whole alola shiny run team that way AND champion's whole shiny run team that way in like a few weeks #I'm not surprised about gen 1-5 and 8 (swsh's broken shiny rate :/ ) and even in gens 6 and 7 I never encountered a RANDOM shiny #only ones that I actively hunted for #or used the friend safari for #but none in the let's go games and PLA.... that's the RNG gods literally picking on you at that point #well hopefully in SV you'll get one!! maybe your luck will change!!
