i was genuinely worried when melch got shot. truly a frightening moment for me, personally

gregor 🥺😢 WHY WERE YOU ONLY WEARING A TANK TOP

seriously though gregor’s death was kinda fucked. i think if they’d had him and wolffe in the show more and allowed him more depth, i would’ve been okay with it, narratively speaking. but his death felt like just some way to raise the stakes, which it shouldn’t have been. why bring him back at all for so little?

(to be clear, i generally like the way the clones were characterized in this, even gregor’s eccentricities. i just wish we’d gotten at least a few other shades of his and wolffe’s personalities)

i KNEW it was gonna be the space whales and i was so fucking excited when they showed up that i sat here chanting “space whales space whales SPACE WHALES”

wolffe saying “umm...was that the plan?” had me in tears. it’s been so long since he’s dealt with magic jedi bullshit and tbh i bet plo didn’t even make the wolfpack deal with it all that much. these space whales showed up and he was just like “what the fuck is happening”

“hera fought in the battle of endor, as did commander rex” rex as that one old guy in the ot CONFIRMED (plus he got his promotion back)

i can’t get over ezra and sabine’s relationship. i’m lowkey glad they didn’t pursue a romance, even though i wouldn’t have minded it. the core of their connection was their friendship, and their respect for/understanding of one another. the fact that he kept saying he knew he could always count on her...it’s really lovely and even implies that, like kanan and hera, they’ll always come back for each other. i’d like to think they could get together in the future but if not that’s fine too.

speaking of relationships, ZEB AND KALLUS???? i see what y’all were talking about with the finale, putting his arm around kallus’s shoulder, introducing him to the family??? they’re fucking married

not only that, but the sheer amount of people that came out to celebrate when the empire was defeated there??? god that was so cool - they’ve really been living in hiding this whole time

ugh it was a good show. had its issues but overall i was pretty impressed with how much it improved and how invested i was. tbh i think the only character death that’s affected me in recent memory me as much as kanan was fives, and that shit really hurt, i gotta tell you. don’t know what i’m gonna hyperfixate on now though. might fuck around and read the comics
