when people hear the name, park y/n, all they ever think about is your dating scandals with men. what if, all this time, you were in love with a woman?

a/n: finally fixed the drafts!! hope everyone is doing well 🫶

you watch as the two emcees step up onto stage. the commercial break’s over and they’re about to announce the grand prize. you feel a hand squeeze yours. the grip is tight with worry and you glance over, smiling softly at the furrowed brows plastered on your co-star’s face.

“and tonight’s daesang goes to,” lee dohyun opens the envelope, “kim sejeong for spring day.” the applause is deafening as the idol-actress stands up, a look of shock passing her face rather quickly before her eyes crinkle into a smile. as she passes your aisle, you mouth out, ‘congrats.’ it fills you with pride that your previous co-star had managed to snag the grand prize of the year.

her outfit is wonderful tonight. a rose gold based dress with jewels that lined the edges, and if anyone deserved the daesang, it would be kim sejeong. she looks exceptionally pretty with the glow on her face, yet you wonder if your current co-star would look the same.

you mutter out, “you’ll win it next year, won’t you,” before standing up to clap for your friend.

“yeah,” yu jimin says absentmindedly.

a laugh leaves your lips.

“i can still win the top excellence award, right?”

you decide to humour her.

“of course, dear.”

“and you’ll cheer even harder for me, right?” there’s a fire in jimin’s eyes and you giggle softly, intertwining your fingers with hers again and bringing them up into a fighting pose.

“yes, karina.”

jimin nods firmly and sejeong gives her speech. even though it isn’t your girlfriend standing on stage right now, and even though your supposedly drama of the decade only wins one award that night(best supporting actor by kang daniel), you can’t help but feel the happiest you’ve ever been.

maybe it’s the fact that you’re standing in an auditorium with hundreds of your idols. maybe it’s because you finally feel like you belong there. but it’s probably because of the hand that’s in yours and the warmth that it provides.

it’s an indescribable feeling, your heart is racing a mile, and your head is about to explode. your hands are shaking, trembling as the music bank trophy gets passed to you.

“oh my god,” you whisper, eyes gleaming. your band members sniffle through their tears while you examine the trophy. the melody of your debut song starts playing and through their tears, your members sing. it’s a rendition filled with voice cracks, giggles and tears but you enjoy every second of it.

as the idols leave the stage, you spot some of those that you’ve trained with before.

“y/nnie, good job,” ryujin sends you a thumbs up and you grin back, waving to the rest of the itzy members that do the same.

aespa trails behind itzy and you stutter for a second. their visuals were jaw-dropping and you definitely understand now why netizens said they were basically ai. your awed state changes when one of the members makes eye contact with you. you send a smile.

she frowns and whispers to ryujin before shooting you a withering look.

“what the hell…” you mumble out, your previously happy persona disappearing. your members seem to notice and they drag you to the centre of the stage, away from the crowd of idols.

“c’mon y/n!” jisoo, one of your members, squeals in excitement, “we got our first win today!” you smile softly but all you can focus on is the glare that yu jimin had.

k-pop rookies are getting braver: a thread.

your name trends on twitter the next day, along with karina’s. it would be another celebratory day if not for the fact you were in hot water because of what had happened during the music show.

someone had tweeted out a video of your interaction with the aespa member and in short terms, people were not happy with the way your smile fell.

why is it my fault though? you think as your manager gives you a lecture on how facial expressions could ruin your career. your members sit behind you, worried glances thrown across the room before your manager finally says.

“they want to cover this up,” his tone is solemn, “with a bigger scandal. one that people might support.”

“so what is it?”

a pause, then, “a dating scandal, with hwang hyunjin.”

“fuck,” mia blurts out.

you agree with your main vocal. fuck.

as your manager gives more details, you stare into space. a dating scandal with hyunjin? his fans would kill you! what on earth were they thinking? and your friendship with his members would be weird, you couldn’t lose your honorary aussie membership!

“the news will get released on friday. you two will go out and get photographed by dispatch before jyp and starship releases a statement, okay? the most fans will do is, well, send death threats. but it’ll be okay. this is better than having to deal with that aespa fiasco,” he reassures you before leaving the room and you glance at your members.

“sorry for uh, getting you guys into this.”

“no, we’re a team. we’ll be here whenever you need us. at least we’re getting some news coverage,” hyerim shrugs.

“all thanks to me,” you say dryly.

“all thanks to you,” jisoo repeats.

you meet hyunjin in some tteokbokki stall late at night. he’s dressed in a simple jacket and jeans, he still looks handsome but you would never say that out loud in fear of his fans.

“hello hyunjin,” you greet, “i’m y/n.”

hyunjin doesn’t have a boyish charm and he reminds you of the hallway crush girls had in high school. his gaze is familiar, reminding you of yeji’s.

“sorry we met so late, i had a schedule.”

“no it’s fine.”

you exchange awkward looks before laughing. “this is really weird, we never talked when i was still at jyp.”

hyunjin eases back into his seat, somewhat more relaxed than before and he shakes his head.

“yeah, i remember seeing you talking to felix, you looked a little intimidating back then,” hyunjin says.

“intimidating?” you raise an eyebrow.

hyunjin pops a rice cake into his mouth, “yeah. i wanted to talk to you since we’re the same age and…” he looks a little embarrassed now and you grin.

“…i don’t have a lot of friends,” he finishes shyly.

you burst into laughter.

“i’ll invite you into the 00’ liner group chat.”

“that would be greatly appreciated.”

all your worries of this fake relationship ruining your friendship with other idols disappear.

“this wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be,” hyunjin says as you exit the shop. it’s almost midnight and you barely even remember the reason for your meetup.

“this was nice,” you agree, “you’re nice to talk to.”

hyunjin chuckles and rubs the back of his neck, “yeah?”

“mhm. i wouldn’t mind doing more of this.”

“i don’t mind either,” he smiles and you think, huh, maybe this could be good.

fans react like you assumed they would. outrage, distaste, some tweet at you, saying that they wish you the best.

“wow, they really went crazy on you,” mia gasps, scrolling through the different social media platforms. you groan. your manager had restricted you from going online or outside for these couple of days until the news dies down again.

“yeah, definitely stay off social media right now,” hyerim instructs. you nod.

your phone beeps and you glance over. a text from hyunjin. before you can reach it, jisoo leans over and smirks, pulling your phone out of your grasp to exclaim, “how’re you feeling? everything okay? damn, is this fake or real? how did he even get your number?”

you roll your eyes.

“he’s just worried. we were both at jyp, so chan probably gave him my number.”

your group mates send you a look. a look that says, ‘are you being for real?’

you meet up with hyunjin a few more times and it’s actually going good. he seems happy when he’s with you and your chemistry is great. you’ve been texting him for a few weeks now and his comeback is coming soon.

“give me a spoiler,” you whine. hyunjin smiles at you.

“no way, jyp’s gonna kill me.”

“he wouldn’t kill a former trainee, that’s like family violence,” you joke.

hyunjin pauses and stares at you. “so is this incest?”

you gape widely at him, “what?!” he laughs so hard that he nearly falls off his chair and you can’t help but join in too. you catch a glance of the phone on the table and a message lights up the lock screen.

the silhouette’s familiar, the side profile looks so distinctive that you widen your eyes and gulp.

“oh,” hyunjin follows your eyes and smiles, “that’s a portrait i painted, pretty good right?”

“yeah.”

hyunjin grins.

“i had a great muse.”

you nod, the more you stare at his lock screen, the more it reminds you of karina. and it’s ironic, that she’s the whole reason you’re in this situation in the first place.

after a few minutes of silence, hyunjin gazes at you with worry.

“are you okay?”

you frown.

“i… i have to go.”

“ah.”

the two have split up due to schedule differences, reported by an insider close to both parties. netizens share their differing opinions online. some wonder if the relationship had started before former jyp trainee y/n left the company. some speculate if it was a public stunt.

Shiftblr Intro

You are welcome and encouraged to send questions to this blog!

We are a 20-year-old mixed-origin system. Most of us are nonhuman/identify as otherkin, some also fictionkin or therians. We're also astral travelers and pop culture paganists, so shifting is right up our alley.

We attempted reality shifting, found it worked, and figured we’d make a sideblog for it. This blog was also created to deal with a lack of information for shifting as a system. So far we've been successfully shifting since January 2021.

We're going by "R" on this blog for now, but that's liable to change.

Note: We don't have a script, so our drs are semi-involuntary

Why I think KD is fine? and why I'm glad for J*nnie💕

I want to say something and hope Kaisooist don't ban me for this? Hahaha I'm fragile be nice

But I recently saw that Jennie is wearing more bear things and is embracing her "Nini" nickname and honestly? I'm sooooooooooo glad for her.

I'm glad that she no longer has to hide, I really like her and she is human before anything. I hope she can find peace and love.

I don't see any of that as JxK crumbs, no, on the contrary, I see that as a slap in the face to the mean people out there. I think she's brave for freeing herself from haters and the shadow of the JK thing. She should never be afraid of the things she likes just because disrespectful people and for the fear of still being associated with a man, they both (j n k) should be able to enjoy their lives (and gustos) in peace.

I personally think the JK relationship was a mediaplay for a lot of reasons, but EVEN if it was true it'd be no business of mine and I wouldn't care, I still support KD and their interactions till the end cuz' I just love them very much, even after they are no longer in exo I still cherish them a lot.

I think she enjoying and sharing again things like that without fear at least for me is a clear sign that she's fine, and kai has been spoiling the shipdom with a crumb or two so KD is fine.

Jijijiji anyway, don't know if I explained myself well but that's what I feel and think. Maybe with this someone sees the bright side of the situation as I sometimes still see a lot of hate to both J n K and it makes me sad :(

So, here are my thoughts on this whole thing. (It’s long and a lil unorganized but it be like that sometimes lmao 🤷🏾‍♀️ also I’m on mobile so can’t figure out how to do the read more option for whatever reason =/)

To give some insight to all this, I started believing kaisoo was real on April 1st 2016, the day kxk was announced. I had only been officially stanning Ek sew since cmb but knew of them since overdose era. Ks and ji have consistently been my biases. I was here all throughout the kxk era and even predicted that they would soon break up in this post. So even though I’m a little bit taken aback and somewhat wasn’t expecting this, this ain’t my first rodeo.

Although in this situation I feel like this scandal is mainly being done to cover J*nnie (I also share this viewpoint with others such as @soofection and @kaisoounderground, correct me if I’m mistaken lol) what I think bothers me the most about how this is Ji’s second time in a dating scandal is the perceptions that people have of him regarding his persona and who he really is.

Keep in mind that what I’m about to say is my own perception of things, everyone has their own way of looking at shyt but at the end of the day I don’t personally know ji so I’m not claiming anything as fact. It’s all based on what I’ve observed about him throughout the years with him being my ultimate bias not just in kpop but like..in life lol. (There are other supporters who share the same idea, like @faakeid for example.)

I feel like since e——x—-o was created, the image of a “hot, sexy bad boy player” has always been pinned on ji. Out of all the members, he’s always the one front and center with him being the face of the group. He’s is usually the one in the most eccentric or revealing clothing (cue the crop tops and black hairstyles). He has a smoldering ‘come hither’ gaze and a smirk when he dances that will send you to your knees. He plays the bad guy or ladies man roll in almost every music video, and outside of the videos he’s wearing Gucci clothes strolling through the airport like it’s his runway. He’s hot. He knows it. You know it. I know it. So it would make sense, in a heteronormative world, that he would be a real ladies man.

But it’s weird, because outside of his stage persona, ji is different. He’s shy and awkward. He doesn’t really go out much, doesn’t drink, doesn’t have too many friends. He’s extremely observant and attentive to people and takes in all that is happening around him. He giggles a lot, sleeps a lot, reads a lot. He is weak for babies and dogs. He is super sentimental and insightful and wears his emotions right there on his sleeve. I’ve never seen him not accept a fan letter in an airport. He is an almost 6foot tall grown man that owns stuffed animals lmao.

I’m not saying his stage persona is not necessarily accurate, bits and pieces of that may be the side of him that is only able to be revealed through his art (I.e dancing/performing). But I feel like even though most fans acknowledge the ka*/ji duality, as soon as a scandal comes out about him everyone forgets it and suddenly he’s just the image he portrays.

Which brings me to this jxk scandal. Maybe it’s because he’s my bias and I’m just observant and keen on getting info about ppl I like, but once again everything mentioned in the dispatch statement doesn’t match the ji who isn’t his stage persona. Placing kaisoo aside for a moment, shyt like uploading matching insta posts, dating a celeb and getting caught for the second time just doesn’t seem like something ji would do. Though cute and soft, he’s not irresponsible and most importantly he’s not dumb. He’s walked through airports with face masks on to cover facial hair, but wouldn’t wear one for a date with a very famous celebrity under a dating ban after getting caught once before? It simply doesn’t make sense, but I feel like because people are so desperate for his k*i persona to be the real him, they ignore the real him and make it make sense. It doesn’t help that the company he works for consistently pushes this image of him as well.

Same with kxk back in 2016. The rumors people came up with were absolutely vile. Shyt like blowjobs in public pools and condom receipts (both debunked to be false btw) and literally everyone ate it up. Meanwhile I’m sitting here wondering....does anyone know who ji actually is?? Like seriously has anyone actually paid attention to who he is and how he behaves/interacts with people and carries himself? He couldn’t even say the word breast on tv but he’s getting blowjobs in public pools? I mean the shyt doesn’t even sound right lmao.

It also baffles me that people continue to believe dispatch year after year, even though they’ve been proven to have released false rumors and info. Again I think it’s because people want it to be true. They want it to fit their narrative and their image of ji which is largely again, most likely just his persona. They want to believe it’s true because its an “aesthetic couple” despite the fact that (unlike ba*ky*on) we heard not a peep from ji nor krys during kxk and every single part of dispatch’s story + rumors were proven false (and I’m sure the same thing will happen again now).

But it all makes sense in their heads bc in their heads, the hot sexy playboy ji on stage is really who they think he is. Someone like him could only be with another hot and sexy woman, which brings me to my second big issue about this: the ridiculous double standards with heteronormativity in Korea and in the industry/among fans. We all know that as soon as we give even a tiny hit that we think ji and is are dating, we’ll get called insane and delusional in a heartbeat. But how is it delusional to believe this? Because they’re both boys and in the same group? Do people not realize that something like this happened already?

If anything, I feel as though it would be easier to conceal your sexuality as a gay/non-straight male within kpop as an idol (let me reiterate easier to conceal, by no means am I implying that it would make living and/or identifying as lgbtq+ easier) than it would be as a normal every day person, and the reason for this is simply because no one ever willing to acknowledge the possibility that there are gay idols. Male idols would easily be able to do things that are generally thought of to be gay w/o an issue because everyone will write it off as skinship, aegyo, a company created ship or just being an idol. Kaisoo is a perfect example of this—even with years of rumors, ‘incriminating’ photos and very obvious demeanor everyone still is convinced they are both just friends. Ji and ks have had more matching outfits than ji has with any woman, but it’s only a sign of dating when it’s with a woman. Seh*n is another example, the boy straight up said he likes men at a concert and everyone forgot about it and went on about their day. On one hand, in a way this oblivious attitude helps to ironically keep them protected I suppose. But the flip side is that the heteronormativity of it stays exactly that—the norm.

I can’t really say for sure if this has anything to do with kaisoo this time (again I’m thinking it’s to protect Jn). I guess I’m just more annoyed that if this is indeed some sort of media play, once again it’s ji who has to succumb to the image he was given, one that clearly doesn’t seem to 100% match who he is.
