Many options were considered before the final design got unanimous consent, yet as Looks To The Moon had already existed by this time, (Autistic) Five Pebbles could mostly act as her assisting supercomputer thus reducing the risk of running out of water and damaging any of them in process.

So what's the rock obsession for?

The decision to implement the gemology could be a bit random but with time the Superstructure Engineers began to realize, that LTTM and the other iterator projects in the closest area, such as NiSH and SRS, might not cooperate with others of their kin to accomplish the Triple Affirmative or simply would gain some "emotional defects" as they called the risk of prioritization the earthly needs over the Great Problem.

Because of that, they came up with idea of a singular superstructure uniting other machines by a regular interaction also exchanging essential information ( a.k.a. "sharing the worries with others") to prevent the "emotional defects" from happening. A proper behavior programming capable of this task would require more of the computing power than it used to be for any other project but it assured the immunity to the danger this specific iterator would theoretically encounter. An obsession around specific thing was considered a good defense mechanism to apply.

And so, a mindset of an autistic person fitted well - Pebbles could easily and with pure honesty (unaffected by encountered "defective iterator") "share any of his worries" to LTTM - a senior of the local iterator group and formally "Pebble's elder sister" - and she would have a bit more of a control over reaching their designated goal of Triple Affirmative together with other superstructures without dealing with such unwanted "emotional defects" on the way.

Little the Engineers knew, Five Pebbles could turn out to be the only one not affected by the curse he was designed to withhold from spreading...

i wish i *could* recommend the show as a whole but sadly i can't. it's basically a british period soap opera and pretty views of italian (croatian) landscape. the storylines are boring and most of the characters are flat. and it really pains me to write all of this because there seemed to be a great vibe and friendship among the cast but it mostly amounted to nothing. but what i *can* recommend is a nish (assad's character) supercut on youtube because his character & the characters he interacts with throughout the show are one of the better ones. nish is my baby actually and i love him with my whole heart.

1. I am sorry for misgendering Aspen Greaves. It was honestly inherently heteronormative of me to assume they were male before seeing them interact with other humans.

2. I absolutely adore how gender is talked about in Time to Orbit: Unknown. Like. It makes me so happy. Especially the chapter where they watch Dawn of the Dead-ish and 'Nish asks why there aren't any Brennan in the movie. I hope one day all genders are as normalized as that. I also particularly liked "dad is just a word for a mum who is a male" Because yes. This is accurate. I actually sent that line to fellow non-binary friends because I know they would love it too.

Info: Rodney is more kin with Nishou than they are Nish. He is one of Nishou's best friends and while he is aware of Nishou entirely, it does not bother him in the slightest.  However, in that same breath, Rodney can be seen interacting with Nish being flirty, or even passing his openness with them as friends. He seems to be highly interested in Nish, not fully romantic but there is obvious physical lust and curiosity. Though Nishou tells him to stay away from his original vessel for his own personal reasons. Rodney thinks good competition between men never hurt anyone. Nor will anyone stand in his way when he wants something or someone. He tends to go behind his friend's back in order to get to the original vessel. He seems haughty and aloof beyond his flirtations, and his intentions aren't really known. which in a way allures the original but also irritates them. While the original and he may romp from time to time, there is nothing too serious going on. There is a sinister air about Rodney that Nish does not fully trust, so their interactions stay solely on the fun. That sinister air is Rodney's connection to their doppel.

Rodney however does not care to be wrapped up in the drama that concerns both Nish and Nishou. He never alludes to either the original or doppel's whereabouts if they ask him. He is more of the type to enjoy how things playout for the good or dangerously bad. If challenged he will not think twice about getting rid of you. There is a reason why he and Nishou connect so well. Never challenge him or disrespect him, he will make sure you regret your actions fully.

Rodney beyond his connections to the doppel has a very dueled nature due to his cultural upbringing. He also lost his mother in his teen years due to a violent disease. As a result of his mother's passing his father took out his sadness and aggression on him. It is hard for Rodney to fully become connected to anyone due to the one person he loved the most leaving his life permanently. There was nothing for him to do, to control the said situation to keep his mother around. Rodney fears connection of any kind.. be it friendship, intimacy, or long-term relationships. He feels, in the end, you will leave him, be it your choice or something natural that he can not physically stop.

Rodney has his own issues beyond childhood trauma that even he can become mentally mudded with. While he vents to Nish about them, he will not go as far as to leave himself emotionally vulnerable. Even if he knows you will never harm him, he just won't trust anyone enough to give you that control over him. Beyond all, his life experience and his culture play a part in his mentality as well. His father stating " A man who cries is weak and is no son of his" has stuck with him throughout his life. You will never see Rodney cry or break down...instead he uses sex, drugs, and liquor as a form of escapism. At best his escapism within kink is one the original vessel will always be confused with. He believes if he consents to pain from time to time that he has some sense of control. A form of control he never had prior. Though he understands this isn't safe for him at best he could care less. Essentially he uses others as a form of self-harm.

Rodney sports a serrated switchblade he nicknamed Regina. He also refers to his blade as she/her. He uses it for fun with lovers as well as protection if anyone tries to step to him sideways. While he's a great physical fighter he enjoys the fear weaponry induces when introduced in a brawl.

Well, this is the best bit of gossip to ever appear on the Elis James and John Robins radio show:

This, of course, goes along with the story that Nish Kumar told on The Bugle of the same football game:

A game that took place when John Oliver was back in Britain briefly at the end of 2017, during which time he appeared on The Russell Howard Hour and apparently played football, but did not stop to do any Bugle episodes, which is fine, I mean it's absolutely fine, we can't all be Hollywood.

Hollywood. Despite the fact that I once made an image listing some coincidental superficial similarities,

I find it quite difficult to picture John Robins and John Oliver existing in the same place. They're wildly different. But if you asked me what I thought would happen if they ever were in the same place, I'd probably guess it would involve a lot of John Robins repeatedly calling him Hollywood.

I can't post that audio clip of Nish Kumar discussing that game on The Bugle without also posting the compilation I made of the evolution of Nish Kumar becoming the British John Oliver, because it's quite adorable:

Anyway, going back to that original clip from the radio show, I also enjoyed Producer Vin hearing comedian football mentioned and immediately asking about Andy Zaltzman. There wasn't any context from before or explanation from after that clip to explain why he'd asked, it sounds like Vin just likes Andy was impressed that they play football with him sometimes. Which is pretty cool. I think Vin's mentioned before that he's a cricket fan, and I am aware that Andy Zaltzman is weirdly, legitimately big among cricket fans, since he does so much cricket commentary and collation of stats. I'm hoping I'm right in remembering that I've heard Vin mention being into cricket, as otherwise that's just an assumption I'm making based on his race. But I think he's mentioned it.

I quite like Producer Vin at this point. Earlier in the radio show, I was a bit disappointed by how their back-and-forth with the producers seemed a lot less fun than what I'm used to, on The Bugle where Producer Chris (and Tom before him) is a beloved figure on the show. At some point I worked out that it's a bit of a different relationship, an independent podcast vs a live radio show. The radio producers are actually accountable to the station to make sure the comedians are saying things that will be good for listenership, so there were more interruptions that were genuine rebukes for going too far off on rants that would be inaccessible to a casual listener, whereas on a show that's a podcast first, you know that everyone has tuned in because they like Andy Zaltzman's inaccessible rants. I've never heard Chris Skinner try to curtail any of Andy's pun runs, for any reason besides to preserve his own psychological stability.

Having said that, after the first 100 episodes or so they settle into a rhythm, interactions with producers got a lot more natural and more fun. I'm at episode 200 now and Producer Vin has only recently started speaking up at times during the chat to hold them to account, not for boring radio standards but for contradicting stuff they've said before, which can be pretty funny at times. I like him. I think he's more naturally funny than the previous producer. Knowing he apparently approves of Andy Zaltzman, for whatever reason, makes me like him more.

Oh, and I also recently heard an episode in which Harry Potter came up, and John Robins said he's a Gryffindor, and I have not identified anyone's Hogwarts House for about fifteen years, but the years I spent doing so instantly came back to me and I looked at my phone and said "absolutely the fuck not, 100% Ravenclaw, few cases are this clear cut." And then a few weeks later they were on with Producer Vin and John referenced the recent episode in which he'd called himself a Gryffindor, and Vin immediately said that was one of the episodes when he was absent, which he knows because if he'd been there he would never have let him get away with that claim, he'd have interrupted to say no, 100% Ravenclaw. And I looked at my phone and said thank you. I like this guy.

This post has covered a fair bit of ground. The original point was supposed to be that I would pay good money to see Old John Oliver and New John Oliver tackle each other over a football. Sorry that I got onto Harry Potter. Fuck JK Rowling but I like Producer Vin.

after crying- bawling my eyes out at seventeen's mama daesang speech, i am finally here. having stanned bts since 2018, my expectations from groups have always been very high (considering that i fell out of bts too in 2021-22) bts will always have that special place in my heart- a haven preserved only for them. but seventeen, seventeen is different on so many levels- if bts introduced me to kpop, svt helped me to stay in it; if bts helped me to love myself, svt gave me that drive to move forward. i would have been totally out of kpop scene if i hadn't discovered seventeen during that HOT era.

i had honestly tried- tried stanning many groups but no one resonated like seventeen- and it was probably because how similar their and bts's situation was and how easy it was for me to see their genuineness, to fall in love with them.

they finally won a MAMA, they finally fulfilled one of their dreams and i can't help but wish for them even more- to support the boys so much that they are yet again able to taste the sweet apple of success like they deserve to.

their win made people cry, and not just them and carats, but actual artists who are supposed to be neutral, who are supposed to be their competitors, who might not be their fans- but they cried, they cried because they saw a deserving group (a group which should have already bagged a daesang years ago) win, they saw a genuine group of real idols win, they saw amazing and the most down to earth artists win. and when you do something good in your life (even if your family or friends don't support it) you are bound to an applause, you will make people stir, you are due to respect and the vast majority of earth (who know about your deeds and hardwork) will support you.

if i could only move people like seventeen does, if my life brings happy tears to someone- i will consider my life fulfilled, i know they don't think that highly of themselves- any sane human really can't put themselves on such a high pedestal but- i hope they realise, just how many people they regularly motivate to get up, to have something to be happy for; just how they have proved that if you work hard- you're bound to succeed.

What was your favorite Slugcat to play and your favorite Iterator to draw?

(i haven't played Saint yet) i suppooooooose it might be actually a tie between Spearmaster, Rivulet and Artificer? the movement of the latter two was a lot of fun, but i'm too attached to Spearmaster that i don't wanna leave it out. constant supply of spears took one of my main worries away for the whole game

and favorite Iterator to draw?? oh boy, i don't think i can choose... i do draw my own designs which i did my best to cater specifically to my enjoyment from drawing. it'd be easier to say what i like drawing the most out of their singular designs, so i'll do that (AND i get to ramble about that i love doin that)

originally i talked about like. all iterators i've ever really drawn but then i fucked up n what i had written was deleted so i guess we are doin only few. the main five i think of when trying to figure out which i like drawing the best:

• Pebbles: everything about his head is a joy to me. the shape of it, his marks, antennas.. the shape of his feet is a lot of fun and something about the combination of the Gen 3 skeletal body type and hanfu just... fits for him. along with his angry expression. it's like... a certain regal beauty but there's sharp teeth hiding within it. i like to try my best to imbue certain feelings into my designs and then how i draw them (especially on my own time- when i draw for asks i feel like... this important essence, the characterization, gets muddled at least a tad). with Pebbles i'm going for something like "small flame, burning bright- a fighter, yet so soft and fragile, sharp and divinely glorious, determined yet still so damn scared. i want to hold your hands, understand what the time has done to them and say that i'm very sorry. you shouldn't have had to become so rageful. they made you to be alive and didn't let you live." • Nish: of course *he's* here. from the scarf to the general loosenes of his fit (even though he should be more of a Tube, i'm not doin the kimono inspiration justice n i am sorry) is a lot of fun. the looser the clothes are, the more i enjoy drawing them!! i really like drawing his mark and i'm very proud of my design for his headphone audial things this time around. unlike last time, they are meant to be bigger than others' and they are red instead of dark green. the three holes in them? Especially proud of those. he's specifically high up there with my favorite iterators to draw because of his attitude, though • Boreas: he's so stupid big it makes me giggle. drawing him next to Gen 3s is so??? sir please come down we need to have a chat- hello? do u hear me???- okay but seriously, i'm very happy that i've settled on a chlamys for him. the sort of like. collar that i've decided the cloth will make for him compliments his personality well and i like drawing my collars a ton. it's not visible here because it isn't colored, but his antennas go from dark dark blue to vibrant red thru a gradient and i LOVE it so much. combined with the aggressive shape of them? mwah. also the leaf-like things on his audials are so simple to draw and add so much to his vibes that i always look forward to drawin them. revisiting his design and giving him the warranted love made him so so strong and dear to me... p sure he's currently my favorite from my ocs • Notos: a perfect example of why "less is more" is a saying. i like drawing it specifically cuz it's literally just. a bitch playing on a ghost with a bedsheet except when u look under that hood there are some Feckin yaoguai teeth waiting there. Those are a bitch to draw but i did this specifically to learn to draw teeth like that better. also. special shout out to the interaction of Iterator antennas and a bedsheet over the head. shkika keeps bein weak for those "cat ears" in our dms, it's funny to see Notos out of all my kids get those kind of reactions jglkdscmlksdmlk

• Fish: FISH IS FISH. he has big dumb round glasses what more could i possibly need to enjoy drawing a man. but also those antennas... they make him a lot of fun to draw n i look forward to drawin them each time. my thanks to @/w1ngw0ng and @/medi-bee for bettering them just by being themselves

On a recent scouting expedition, one of my studies, along with my personal messenger, stumbled upon a cave filled with glowing gems. I was able to identify a handful, but then I noticed the radiation levels were off the charts. I have not been able to get either.My messenger nore my overseer back. I was able to identify one of the 3 main causes for the radiation in the room. Very pure uranium 235 The others, on the other hand, are a mystery to me. There was a purple one that seemed to cause several mutations in a subject, and the dark blue one It's spues out a constant flow of. radiation, that makes things for lack of a better word high.

they could either hate each other or somehow become really good frens... or both. they keep goin between those. maybe just annoy each other at first aaa. it really depends on which year and in which circumstances they interact again 🤔

i sincerely always wanted them to be friends... i think they could bond over quite a lot of stuff, from stuff like fashion to their love for their kyodais... to all that crap life threw at them haha. The rosalind song task is what happens if you split the kamikou kids into two groups and those two groups are VBS (canonically can write good music) and everyone else. Toya puts together an actually good song and Akito an An help out and then you end up with I'm always seeing you (do cool stuff) and then the other 5 don't write music and you end up with the 5 of them just singing "Rosalind's a FUCKING nightmare" (actually Tsukasa can probably write music considering years of piano lessons but also he's the only character to say fuck in english so he goes here). also like. bob mortimer's genuine insane energy i think can only be matched by one rui kamishiro.
