This is observed on the thiruvadhirai nakshaththram (star) falling in this month.The festival marks the day of cosmic dance of Lord Shiva and it is celebrated in the form of Lord Nataraja. In Sri Ramanasramam, it is also celebrated in a grand manner. At around 4 am in 6 January 2023, the Nataraja idol in the Mathrubutheswara temple was anointed and decorated with flowers. Śrī Aruṇācala Navamaṇimālai - The Necklace of Nine Gems for Arunachala, Verse 1

acalaṉē yāyiṉu maccavai taṉṉi
lacalaiyā mammaiyedi rāḍu — macala
vuruvilac catti yoḍuṅgiḍa vōṅgu
maruṇā calameṉ ḏṟaṟi.
Padacchēdam (words rearranged in natural prose order): acalaṉē āyiṉum, a-c-savai taṉṉil acalai ām ammai edir āḍum. acala uruvil a-c-satti oḍuṅgiḍa, ōṅgum aruṇācalam eṉḏṟu aṟi.
English translation:
Though actually one who is motionless, in that assembly hall he dances opposite mother, who is acalā. Know that when that śakti subsides back in the motionless form, Aruṇācalam is exalted.
Explanatory paraphrase:
Though [Lord Siva is] actually acalaṉ [one who is motionless, being the one immutable ground from which and in which everything else appears], in that assembly hall [of Cidambaram] he dances [in the form of Nataraja] opposite [the divine] mother, who is acalā [the consort of acalaṉ]. Know that when that śakti [the divine mother] subsides back in the motionless form [the fundamental form of Lord Siva], Aruṇācalam is exalted [that is, in the motionless form of Aruṇācalam, which rises high above all his other forms, Lord Siva shines exalted in his natural state].
Note :
The word Achalan means the motionless one and is a name of Lord Siva which is used to denote the fact that He is the immutable, Supreme Reality. The word Achalai means the consort of Achalan and is a name of Sakti, the Divine Mother.
Though He is motionless by nature, in Chidambaram Lord Siva had to dance in front of Sakti in order to bring Her frenzied dance to an end. But in the form of Arunachala Lord Siva remains ever motionless, and thus by the power of His mere stillness Sakti was irresistably attracted to Him and with great love she subsided in Him and became one with Him. Hence of all the forms of Lord Siva, Arunachala shines as the most exalted.
The words ‘ongum Arunachalam’ means ‘rises high’ or rises above others, and hence the words ‘ongum Arunachalam endru ari’ (know that He shines exalted as Arunachala) may also be taken to mean, know that Arunachala is superior (to Chidambaram)!

What subspecies would the night pride be in your headcanon?
If I threw out any notion of blood relations and just went with the pure vibes of what I think would be the most fun design-wise I think I'd go with:
Surak - Piet with a Frilled Lizard inspiration and partner. C'mon, with that kind of mane?
Baliyo - Tsavo is the obvious choice but hey, it's obvious because it fits. If I wanted to keep a darker palette I'd say his family came from one of the Night Tsavo clans that maintained the tunnels in the desert.
Nirmala - Something about Nirmala strikes me as someone who comes from a blend of cultures so I'd say that she'd be mixed. Marozi with something - probably Grie based on statistics as they're the most common kind of lion. I could see her going to the Tree to reconnect with her roots and just never leaving.
Rani and Janna - the only two that I would absolutely HC as being as close to pure-blooded Marozi as you'd get in the modern timeline. Marozi lions are the most likely to have magic abilities so it would make sense that the family who are in 'control' of a magical tree of healing would be descended from the group of lions most in touch with magic.

Prologue: Mom!!
Y/N’s POV
It was a normal day in the jungle, the birds were squawking about poachers as the sun kissed my face. “Kids we need to get back to the cave.” She spoke with urgency laced in her voice.
“Aww mom we just got here.” Nirmala complained but Rani wasn’t having this “Come on there’s poachers on the loose, we need to bounce.” Rani said, her tail flickered in annoyance
“Fine, I’m coming.” Nirmala reluctantly trailed behind us. Suddenly we heard gunshots as the smell of gunpowder wafted through the air.
“Kumbe, Kimbia!!” (Swahili Translation: Fuck. Run!”) Our mother commanded. We ran and ran until we got to our cave, panting from the adrenaline. “Stay here, I’ll take care of them.”
“But what about you mom?” I asked, is she insane. Those poachers could kill her.
“I promise I’ll be back.” If only we knew those words would be her last. The sound of her growling and gunshots lasted a few minutes before it got really quiet. “Let’s take her.” I heard an unfamiliar voice say
No no no no no noooooooo! They got her, I knew I should’ve made her stay. Rani and Nirmala started sobbing at the revelation that our mom is gone. As the oldest I have to take care of them. From now on, I’ll protect this jungle.
A year has passed since I had become the protector, I’ve been helping animals with their problems, rescuing them from poachers and other disasters. It’s been tiring honestly, they keep coming like a boomerang. I was on my daily patrol when a strong scent caught my attention. It most certainly belonged to a human. ‘What could they be doing here?’
I followed the smell to see a young girl around my age sitting by the water. I unbeknownst to her sneaked up on her but somehow, she knew I was there as she turned around and looked in my general direction.
Shuri’s POV
My instincts told me someone was creeping up on me. “Show yourself.” I demanded, wanting to know who would dare to sneak up on me. They came out as I laid eyes upon the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, next to Riri of course.
She wore shredded clothes that showed some of her muscles, the thought of that alone nearly made my nose bleed.
“Why are you here?” I questioned
“I live here. Why are you here?”
“Why are you living out here?”
“Because I live with my siblings.”
“They are more humans out here?”
“Oh, hell no, they’re jaguars since my mom, Varya took me in and raised me along her cubs, Rani and Nirmala.” I processed these words until it dawned on me, she should come to Wakanda. “You should come with me to Wakanda.”
“First off: Waka-wha? And second: I can’t.”
“It’s Wakanda and why not?”
“I can’t just leave them, they need me.” I cannot believe I was actually considered bringing jaguars with me. I wonder how Riri, and Okoye react to this. “We can bring them too.”
“Alright, I’ll go.” I felt butterflies in my stomach, similar to what Riri gives me “Just let me get them
10 minutes later
She came back with two jaguars, wait what about her mother. “Where’s your mother?” Her eyes seemed to well up with tears at the mention of her mother. “She got killed by poachers a year ago, ever since I’ve stepped up as guardian of this jungle and all it’s creatures.” Wow so that’s why she insisted on having these two with her
“I never got you name by the way.” I said as we went through the borders of Wakanda “I’m Y/N and you?”
“I’m Shuri.” It was late but still a lot of people were about, and they were not impressed about the jaguar’s trailing behind the mysterious girl. When we arrived at the Palace, Riri ran and kissed me. “Who’s the new girl.”
“Riri this is Y/N, Y/N this is Riri.” Riri gave her a casual wave while she hummed in acknowledgement. “Why is she with those jaguars?”
“Apparently, their biological mother adopted her as their own and raised her so then I found her and invited them to stay at the palace.” Riri shook her head as she chuckled “Alright let’s go.” She said guiding me inside.
Y/N’s POV
I followed Shuri and Riri into a strange looking den full of bald-headed women. Shuri took me to my ‘guest room’ where I’ll sleep for now. “This thing is really soft.” Nirmala commented as she got comfortable on said thing. “I think we’re supposed to sleep on it.”
I change into the clothes they gave me.

Anandamayi Ma as the young Nirmala Sundari Devi
A DIVINE CHILD
On 30th April, 1896, a beautiful girl-child was born at Kheora village, in the Tripura district of East Bengal (now Bangladesh). Her family traced its descent from Rishi Kashyapa, who was a devout worshipper of Lord Vishnu. Her mother, Mokshada Sundari Devi, the embodiment of simple and pure virtues, would play an important role in the child’s later manifestation as Ma. She was affectionately addressed as Didima. Before the birth of this child, she had many visions of gods, goddesses, and the divine light that entered into her. The child’s father, Bipin Bihari Bhattacharya, was a very religious and otherworldly man, who spent his days singing the praises of God in a sweet, soul-stirring voice. Sometimes, he would stay absent for months at a time, wandering as a penniless mendicant, singing bhajans and practicing spiritual discipline. The child was named Nirmala Sundari Devi, which means ‘goddess of flawless beauty’. In later years, Ma always stressed that she has always been the same. “As I was at birth, and as a child, so am I now.” Didima said that at birth she never uttered a cry, but was very peaceful, radiant and possessed full consciousness. She later amazed people by recalling the names of those who were present at her birth, and of events that occurred in her early years. The first sign that her mother had of her supernatural identity came when the child was just a few months old. One day, as Nirmala lay in her crib and Didima was going about her household chores, she noticed that a sadhu with a radiant face and long, matted locks was standing before the crib with folded hands. He addressed the mother and said, “This is no ordinary child, and she will not be confined within an ordinary life. This is none other than the ‘Mother’ of the whole world!” After giving his blessing he walked out of the door and when Didima looked out after him, he was nowhere to be seen. The small child grew into a sweet-natured and friendly little girl. The second dominant trait in her life was also noticed during childhood. She never had a desire of her own or moved to fulfill any personal wish. If left to herself, she reposed blissfully contented in her own self. What motivated all her actions and movements during childhood and throughout her life, were the desires and needs of others. It was seen that the young Nirmala was always at hand to serve and help others. Transcending all social and caste barriers, she was loved by everyone in the village. The child’s favourite playmate was her grandmother, known affectionately as Thakurma. This elderly lady would occasionally be surprised when the little girl would, with scholarly precision, correct the Sanskrit in a sloka that she was reciting. On one occasion, little Nirmala showed Thakurma the correct and intricate mudras to be perform during puja. Another time, while the two were playing together, Thakurma, after an intense and penetrating look from young Nirmala, went into a deep, inner state of samadhi. At the age of four, Nirmala was taken to a kirtan in the village. During the chanting of the holy names, she became so engrossed in a deep inner bhav, that tears started streaming from her eyes.

If the characters in tlk/tlk2/tlg were in i hope so, what do you think their names would be? (the lion characters only, to make it more simple)
Most of them would just be the English translation of their names. Kion and Rani I'm not sure because their names mean Leader and Queen respectively. As for the others, some of them had multiple meanings, some I picked more flattering words. Surak is a bit weird. Shabaha actually means "target" but I couldn't find what kind of target they meant, like do they mean the noun or the verb, I dunno, so I just went with the idea that she "targets" her enemies. So while some names technically mean other things, I just went with the closest that would make sense in this context. I guess Vitani's would still be "War" since Zira is one of Those Moms.
