Punk pin-up: born on this day 57 years ago – the sublime Annabella Lwin (née Myant Myant Aye, 31 October 1966), wild child / nymphette frontwoman of vastly underrated British post-punk band Bow Wow Wow. Their best songs – “Uomo Sex Al Apache”, “Mile High Club”, “Go Wild in the Country”, “Chihuahua” - still sound fresh, sexy and exotic. No woman ever looked better with a Mohawk! Pictured: Lwin with late, great high empress of punk couture Vivienne Westwood (1941 – 2022) photographed by Denis O’Regan in 1980.
