That line when Amy says she hopes that Junie inherits the best parts of George and only the 'salvageable' parts of herself has been haunting me for the past three days

Wholesome female & male friendships, yeah.
But also: toxic female & male friendships. No love triangles, no unrequited love or repressed attraction. Just women and men who hate-love each other and make each other worse, as friends.

This won't be a popular opinion, but I think Amy and Danny are soulmates

"Beef" makes you feel what it feels like to feel nothing but unprocessed rage and pent-up anger that you'd like to direct at something or someone.

"The protagonists of Beef are unlikeable--" whatever i think they're super likeable, they just happen to be people with super relatable and sympathetic qualities who do some shitty, terrible things. I would not change them for the world. I do not want to fix them because that's the point.
