He feels a hole in his heart expand with his shuddered breath, and collapse back again with a watery sigh. A pair of limbs draw close and his arms mimic hugging a body — a habit formed through shared space and confessions and life — and his throat unclasps to weep.
There's a space of a person inside him, a treasure chest of memories wasted away with disuse, years and years lost in a sea of old, rotting love, and all he can do is weep.

In the distance, Mary smiles down at them, in red and white and green, perhaps blessing them, and all Moogyeong can think is that Yohan’s not even gay. He has only ever had eyes for Moogyeong, since he was seventeen. Yohan has no experience of being in love with anybody but him.
