hi ! congrats on 300 !

could i get an ursa major ? the fandoms would be dead poets society, marauders era and/or stranger things.

i’m 5’2, i have black hair with graying hair ( yes, i'm growing old ), i have tanned skin and light chocolate brown eyes and i’m bisexual. i’m a virgo and i'm quite outgoing. i like to portray myself as myterious and cool but the second someone talks about something i like, instantly turn into a hyper puppy. my usual style is mainly denim. i do wear hoodies and jumpers too !! lately i've been wearing warm sweater like tops.

i love making characters or psychology in general. the idea how everyone is different and can yet share the same qualities baffle me extremely. my favourite thing in the world is music. can't live without it. i listen to it all the time as much as i can, everyday. my music taste is rock or indie rock with hints of pop. i do enjoy the occasional classical since i play piano.

i don't really like maths even though i'd like to say i'm decent at it. i love history but that's just because of my teacher. my favourite tropes are rockstar's gf, moon x star couple, mutual, secret, slow burn pining and last but not least fake dating.

the first time you met neil, he'd come over to your house to hang out with charlie

it was probably some barbecue your family was having, and charlie was allowed to invite a few friends

it takes everything in you to act casual and just smile and offer him a greeting

he gives you a crooked grin back and introduces himself and your heart stops

*cue charlie*

"neil? what are you- oh yeah, that's y/n. now stop staring at them and come outside."

you both flush at that, but he doesn't make any effort to deny it

he follows charlie outside, not before giving you another grin just as he slips out of the door

yeah. you’ve got it bad.

this isn’t the last you see of neil, oh no

it seems after that day, charlie’s constantly inviting him over

you’d come downstairs for some breakfast and find neil in the kitchen

or get home from hanging out with your friends and he and charlie are in the living room

it's like he's showing up everywhere on purpose

but, if he’s going to be over all the time, you may as well get to know him

what could go wrong?

you quickly realise your mistake

the more you get to know him, the more romantic feelings towards the boy start bubbling up

that certainly wasn’t part of the plan

you also didn't account for neil reciprocating these feelings

or a spontaneous 3am confession when you both needed a glass of water during the night

that leads to now

you and neil have been dating for around four months

at the start of your relationship, you tried to keep it a secret from charlie

it was eating away at you both, but you didn't know how kindly he'd take to his best friend dating his sibling

charlie was protective over you and you knew it

but as you got more serious, you knew you'd have to tell him sooner or later

"wait, let me get this straight. you two are dating?" "yeah. but please don't be m-" "neil, i'm disappointed. i thought your standards were higher than that." "hey!"

charlie got a glare for that one

"okay i'm kidding, i'm kidding! but seriously neil, i don't care how good friends we are, if you hurt them, i'll hurt you. that's my younger sibling, don't fuck them over."

it went surprisingly better than expected, neil only being on the receiving end of one threat

charlie won't hesitate to tease you both

he comes home to find you cuddling on the couch? he's jumping on top of you both, ignoring your complaints

he walks in on you kissing? after his initial annoyance he's making joke after joke

secretly, charlie's happy you're dating neil and not some asshole

charlie knows neil well enough to know he'll treat you like royalty, so he doesn't need to worry

he'd never tell you guys that though

neil constantly calls you the better dalton, it's great to wind charlie up

overall, charlie is incredibly supportive of you two <3

okay, i know that we established the fact that i once shipped u with our unproblematic king, steph(v)en meeks, but let's completely scratch this thought out of our heads, and we're actually missing the huge picture is that you'd be an absolute adorable couple with neil perry. actually, in all honesty, you'd be compatible with every poet, bestie! but.

neil & u would have a golden retriever boyfriend x girlboss duo, who's power would be UNMATCHED

obviously, i feel like in whatever au of whomever you end up with you and charlie are the reluctant family friends!!

and i think it's a given that neil would catch feelings first. i don't make the rules!

charlie would then push neil to talk to you at joint school party's (u can't tell me that henley hall and helton don't do school events together)

at first you're like 'ugh, charles, wtf do u want' and out pops neil like that one part where miss jenn welcomes mr mazarra to supervise the kids in s2, like a puppy dog

poor boy is so eager to talk to you, since he's seen you around town, and u did tech for midsummer (yeah, neil's alive in this au for my sanity and yours)

he ends up following you for the rest of the night and u both end up watching the party from the school staircase, talking about everything and anything

eventually you start hanging out with the poets, and obviously have clara, linds, and i come as moral support for hanging out w/ teenage boys

you both grow super close, and during the spring show rehearsals (it's singing in the rain, because we all need neil perry as cosmo brown in our lives) at henley he's actually glued to your side, and when you're backstage, he's practically always staring off into the wings and the director gets vvv annoyed!!!

but you're probably the teacher's fave out of the techies, so u get a pass for constantly finding excuses for hanging out with neil during rehearsals

mr keating eventually meets you, and gives neil the biggest pep talk for asking you out, which neil swears he was "planning" on doing. (no he wasn't)

that doesn't work, so eventually todd says something to him.

nobody can tell u what he said exactly, all the boys know is that there was a lot of muffled yelling and unearthly screeching

todd is your #1 fan btw, u writers have to stick together, right?

cameron, is the boy that tells u neil likes u before neil actually does

don't yell at me!!! but i feel like you and cam would be besties, and cam telling u is the most affectionate thing ever (i'm a cameron apologist. just. remember that cameron actually really liked neil.)

u don't say anything, or get to, because afterwards cam simply! runs away?? laivgbiagvirau

leaving you actually clueless

so after that turn of events, cameron's a big dummy and goes up to neil and is like "she doesn't like u :("

like nO??? u actually didn't give her a chance to respond bestie!!!

so this leads up to the day of the show, mhm?

neil avoids u all night, and u even got him a boquet of flowers, and now u just feel stupid. like damn. did that freckle faced nerdy ginger just lie to my face on purpose?

u feel offended, and go outside of the back of the school, where surprise! u see neil sulking about you :(

you're gripping his flowers and oh no! it starts to rain!!

(DON'T YELL AT ME YOU DESERVE A ROM COM MOMENT WITH A THEATRE BOY!!! cringe deserves rights!!)

so u walk over to him, and hand him the boquet of flowers, mary janes starting to ruin and he just looks up with the brightest smile, and you swear it feels like the sun's coming out (it's not)

neil doesn't say anything after that, and probably starts singing 'u are my lucky star' underneath his breath, and it's an unspoken invitation to start dancing in the rain

u both catch cold the day afterwards, but it was worth it because u dorks can take care of each other as an official couple!

bonus: lindsay probably gushes over the waltzing in the rain, while clara and i go feral over the fact that u got sick jnwvtkjbnkj

n knee ways this was incredibly cheesy, but u deserve it for how many ships u do for all of us! i cannot actually express how much i adore the jesper ask (my beloved, PLEASE!!! i want to milo's goat mom and be the one he trusts with his pistols!!! that is all i-) and we actually need to talk about the fact that kaz & u would be a power couple (and a gorgeous one too, bestie!!) sometime else, because i have MANY thoughts on that.

and charlie as my reluctant family friend is truly a superior dynamic. we both annoy the hell out of each other but would murder anyone should they be mean to the other. we know far too much about the other, but also have zero idea how the other reacts when not around family,,,,,,,, it's actually becoming a favorite headcanon of mine.

and todd, cameron, and i being besties!!!! okay,,,,, but i get the distinct vibes that you would be related to one of the poets, and that’s also how we get an in to their meetings (someone’s like,,,, *sigh* can my little sister bring her friends to our meetings?) and i mean if i had to pick someone,,,,, it’s a tie between todd and pitts. i just feel like you would work perfectly as the more outgoing sibling of a shy idiot.

(and girl, about waltzing in the rain,,,, no doubt you and lindsay were the ones to teach me. imagine having a sleepover and teaching me to ballroom dance in your bedroom with the radio on. in this dead poets society au, we are having all of the cheesy rom-com friendship moments together. we go to malls together, we whisper about boys at our lockers (which are right next to each other for convenience), we go to the movies together only to see the idiot boys, we do makeovers for each other,,,,,,, covid has me yearning.)

also i love the characterization of cameron in this,,,,,, the whole running away and “she doesn’t like you :(” is hilarious, i dIED.

and we can be techies together!!!!! i imagine clara and lindsay are actually performers, and after rehearsals when we walk home (because we all live in the same direction - spread across two neighborhoods for convenience) we share the tea between the actors and the techies. imagine our chaos <3.

anyway, who wants to daydream with me about this for the next 100 years???

and i’m so glad you love your jesper ship! i just love the idea of the two of you together. it’s golden. and me and kaz????? i have that energy???? i’m astounded and frankly, flattered.

happy new year bee!!!

i. wow i barely made it when i said “end of the year” huh

anyway, i’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to write you a proper letter, things have been,,,, stressful. neil perry and i are getting a lot closer most days haha

anyway! i just wanted to tell you again how lovely you are, how much i wish your holidays were lovely, how much i wish you happiness and comfort, especially for the coming year, and while there may be 600 moments that aren’t so dear, i hope that you get every moment of the 525,000 dear ones, because you deserve dear moments, and leniency, and all of the academic validation your heart could desire.

honestly bee seeing your name under my story views makes me so happy, i may have no other part in your life but fleeting thoughts and the few minutes you spare to watch these bits of my day i post incessantl, but i’m so glad for even that, and out playful spats over how i am most certainly not better than susan pevensie, i’m so glad to know you.

i also want to tell you, bee, that while tea already had a lovely comforting place in my life, now every cup i have feels like a shared thing with you, and i think it’s a little poetic how i’ve tagged things with you without hardly knowing you. although the anonymity feels fairly austenian in my head.

i hope you have the best year, and i’ll be sending you letters every chance i get, i promise, even if written with little fonts and blue screens rather than pens that smudge with my hand.

i will say, if i had as caffeine addiction before, it's so much worse now. something about gilmore girls has made me drink it so much in an attempt to become rory gilmore (before yale, of course.) maybe it's for study motivation, maybe so i can snag my own jess, who knows /hj.

i can't wait for what letters this year will bring, no matter their format. even if it's short little updates on your life or thoughts you have, m i'll receive them all with equal amounts of joy and splendour.

when the cast list is first announced, you and neil are both ecstatic to both get parts

he actually sweeps you off of your feet into a huge hug

we've all seen how excited this boy gets over theatre, okay

he's just so so proud of you both

but before plays, comes rehearsal

you guys have your own little rehearsals outside of the theatre's ones

just the two of you

he loves running lines with you

even if he gets distracted by how cute you look when you're concentrating

or is looking more at your lips than his own script

prompting an eyebrow raise from you as you tell him to pay attention

"i'm trying, but you're distracting me."

opening night is a flurry of excitement

your friends sit with the poets, so they can support you both together

he buys you roses as a congratulations, cause he's sweet like that

last minute adjusting each other's costumes

"break a leg, babe!"

if you aren't sharing a scene, you'll try your hardest to watch each other from the wings

mouthed words of encouragement

proud smiles and grins

sharing a scene however?

it's so hard to focus when your boyfriend is standing there looking beautiful as ever, full of life and passion

but you manage

the intermission gives you both enough time to frantically gush about how perfect the other was, hardly able to hear each other over your own garbled praise

at the final bows, you hold each other's hands, ensuring you're both next to each other

neil's muttered "you did great" is somehow louder than your friends obnoxious applause and cheering

i am not entirely sure how to end this

but i'll say you and neil will jokingly act in character 24/7, not even just on the stage

it drives everyone else up the wall

but it makes you guys happy :)

i'm so sorry about how short this is - although i do have a fic in the works somewhere along the same premise which may make up for it!! thanks again for the request love <3

a/n; anon i love this so so much - thank you for the request and lovely words!!! i hope you're wonderful too <3 because i'm not too talented in the songwriting area, the song lyrics included have been nabbed from meteor shower by cavetown!!

first up, the singing!

i'll start this by saying neil loves your voice

and i mean loves.

he'll ask you to sing to him 24/7, whether it's a song that's already playing or one of your favourite songs at the moment

no matter how many times he's heard you sing, he's always totally awestruck when you open your mouth

he feels safest when you're in his arms, humming gently to him as you both begin to drift off to sleep

nothing can compare to that for him

sometimes if you're singing along to the radio, neil will subtly try to turn the volume down so he can hear your voice clearer

he'll totally deny this when confronted

this boy thinks you're the most talented person on the planet

so when you sit him down and tell him you wrote a song about him?

he thinks he's going to explode

the grin that rises to his face looks as if it will split and he's bouncing around excitedly asking if he can hear it

you assure him it's nowhere near finished, but he's adamant that doesn't matter to him

and then you open your mouth, perfectly controlled vocals slipping effortlessly from your lips and he's entranced in the melodies you're producing

neil listens intently to the lyrics, making sure to pick out the ones he really loves to you

"but the hues in our hair compliment one another" makes him pull your head closer to his, grabbing strands of your hair trying to intertwine them

"neil!" "what? i’m checking the accuracy sweetheart!"

"my heart and the earth share the same rule, it starts with love and it ends with u" nearly makes him tear up, i swear

the fact you've taken all of this time to write a song centred around him feels like a waste of your talent

when he tells you as much, you immediately chastise him

be warned, you'll now be asked to sing this song to him on any occasion

onto the dancing!

neil is always in awe when you dance, whether you're trying hard or not

he loves dancing around the room with you, even though he is slightly clumsy

if you can teach him any steps, please do, he's more than eager to learn

whilst he watches you, his tongue pokes between his teeth and his eyebrow furrows as he tries to memorise the steps

if you're both laying together, neil will suddenly spring up and put a vinyl onto his record player

"dance with me babe, c'mon!"

he pulls you up with both hands

will gladly spin you around, bounce around the room, and follow any footwork you want to show him

neil's go to dance is twisting, cause it's easy to do and he can't mess it up - you heard it here first

he just thinks you're so so talented and will never pass up an opportunity to tell you or anyone else who'll listen
