Imagine watching Voyager in the 90's and someone from the future pops up to tell you Seven of Nine ends up captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-G and also that she's gay and gets to dress like a regular person.
Oh and she once went on a revenge killing spree after her son Ichab is harvested for Borg components, left for dead and she had to put him out of his misery. And the woman who had him harvested was Seven's ex.
Oh oh and they use her human name as a deadnaming allegory. But then you probably have to explain deadnaming cos it's 1998 or whatever.
Canon Star Trek in 2023 is wilder than the maddest of fanfics.

Enterprise F Headcanon
So on the Picard season finale, I loved everything...but the decommissioning of the Enrerprise F in favor of the G. It put the Enterprise F out of service nearly a decade before Star Trek Online. But we are Star Trek fans, and when we don't like something, we headcanon around it. I’ll wite my headcanon about the Titan A/Enterprise G headcanon later (if there's interest), but here's my headcanon on the F's return for the game.
Tumblr media
The Enterprise G serves faithfully up to early 2409, when she is scheduled for refit to replace her older parts with the latest tech. While Starfleet was loath to have the Enterprise out of service during a conflict with the Klingon Empire, some of the Enterprise's components were nearing 40 years old.
Tumblr media
The Utopia Planitia Yards had been re-opened in 2405, and the Enterprise G was to be their most important project yet. When the G pulled into drydock, the yards had the new components already on site, with a projected duration of two months.
Tumblr media
That would change when a KDF fleet led by Commander Alveck attacked Utopia Planitia using codes stolen from the USS Dewitt. This would have undoubtedly been a complete loss for Starfleet, had it not been for the Enterprise G. Captain Seven of Nine and several of her command crew had been visiting their ship to inspect the progress when the attack came. The Enterprise was warp incapable, but her captain had no intention of running.
Tumblr media
The KDF force had expected a defenseless target due to the stolen codes. Instead they found Starfleet's enraged flagship standing between them and victory.
Tumblr media
The attacking force vastly outnumbered the Constitution III, and she couldn't protect the entire yard, but the Klingon quickly grew frustrated as ship after ship fell to the Enterprise's fire. But the Enterprise was taking heavy damage and her shields finally collapsed. The bird of prey Daqtagh locked torpedoes on the crippled flagship, certain of their victory, but it was not to be.
Tumblr media
Lieutenant Ash'ara of the bird of prey D'tek watched in shock as the Daqtagh vanished in a ball of fire and plasma, only for the bow of the U.S.S. Riptide to emerge as she charged the Klingon fleet. The Riptide was a sister ship of the Enterprise G under the command of Commander Hazel Rendevez. She had found the stricken Dewitt, destroying the KDF ship left behind to scuttle her, and pursued the KDF fleet to Utopia Planitia. She dropped out of warp through the Datagh, destroying it instantly.
Tumblr media
The Riptide and Enterprise dove upon Commander Alvek's flagship, disabling it with their combined fire, before turning to face the D'tek.
With further Starfleet reinforcements appearing on long range sensors,  Lieutenant Ash'ara was forced to order a withdrawal.
Starfleet had repelled the attack, but at high cost.
Multiple ships, both under repairs and incomplete hulls, had been destroyed. Multiple drydocks had been reduced to molten scrap...and the Enterprise had taken critical damage.
The Enterprise G had to be towed to another drydock by her sister; she had suffered major structural damage during the battle. While repairable, it would have taken over a year if the yards had been at full strength. With so many docks destroyed, and the new components meant for Enterprise destroyed, the estimates were closer to two.
Starfleet was down their flagship, at a time they desperately needed her. Morale had dropped drastically after word of the attack had got out. If the fleet learned the Enterprise was out of service...
Fortunately Commodore Geordi LaForge had a solution. Following the completion of the Enterprise D's restoration in 2403, he had turned his attention to another ship of the name. The Odyssey class Enterprise F was nearly operational again, with Utopia Planetia's help, she could enter service within the original timeframe for the G's refit.
Tumblr media
The F was flown to Utopia Planitia under heavy escort, the yard workers beginning their work almost before she stopped moving. Command had ordered the Enterprise restoration to be the yard's highest priority.
Tumblr media
The unexpected revelation of Undine influence brought a temporary ceasefire to the conflict before the F's restoration could be completed, but Starfleet pushed through the project anyway.
This proved to be a wise decision, as during the final week of the refit, Deep Space 9 was taken by a temporally displaced dominion fleet. The newly recommissioned Odyssey class Enterprise would lead the battle to retake the station. Captain Seven of Nine had deferred command, instead choosing to oversee the repair of her Enterprise. Instead Captain Va'kel Shon of the recently lost USS Belfast would be given command of Starfleet's returning flagship.
Tumblr media
Throughout the rest of 2409 to the end of 2410, the Enterprise F served with distinction in the leadup to, and duration of the Iconian war. The final battle of the war saw the Enterprise lead the defense of the Sol System against the Iconian Armada, taking critical damage in the process.
Tumblr media
2411 dawned to see the Enterprises once again switch roles, the newly refitted Enterprise G relieveing the battered Odyssey.
There was consideration given to the idea for retiring the Enterprise F again, but the idea was dismissed as impractical due to the massive losses Starfleet had sustained during the war.
The Enterprise F was refitted to the new Yorktown subclass specifications, bringing the 24 year old vessel back to the forefront of Starfleet technology.
Tumblr media
There was the question of what Starfleet would do with two starships named Enterprise in service at the same time, but the debate was silenced by Admiral Kathryn Janeway, who rolled her eyes and commented that starfleet needed the extra luck given the last few years.
As of 2412 both the Yorktown class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-F and the Constitution III Class refit U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-G are in service. The 1701-F currently is the active flagship of Starfleet. The Enterprise G has recently departed on a long term Exploration mission.

The Roddenberry Archive
Original Release: 2023
Developer: The Roddenberry Estate, OTOY
Publisher: The Roddenberry Estate
Platform: Browser
Tumblr media
The ultimate bridge explorer is finally here. The Roddenberry Archives brings up digital recreations of a ton of Enterprise bridges, including concept bridges brought to life. The website provides a lot of information about the various different version of the Enterprise, and what the digital recreation of the bridge is based on.
All of these bridges can be explored in full 3D. It uses cloud technology so that you get the full detail no matter what PC you’re running (although it does have to be a desktop with Chromium browser) and can walk around, interact with some objects, sit down in chairs or turn on a fly camera. With the vast amount of detail, it’s a phenomenal experience and it’s amazing to look at the bridges in detail.
Tumblr media
It starts off with a concept bridge: the XCV-330, the ring ship Enterprise seen in pictures in films and in Enterprise. It uses an early concept for the original Enterprise, with a round holographic table and a science room above it before moving on to the NX-01, which I loved seeing in closer detail, even finding doors I never knew were there.
Then onto the NCC-1701, which gets by far the most love. It has versions of the bridge starting with a concept bridge from early production then showing us the set from The Cage, Discovery, Strange New Worlds, the TOS pilot, TOS Season 1, TOS Season 2, Mirror Universe, TOS Season 3, a live action version of the bridge from The Animated Series, the bridge from the cancelled Phase II show, The Motion Picture, Wrath of Khan and two versions of the Kelvin version bridge, each one showing different versions of the bridge.
Tumblr media
Then we get a look at a recreation of a wild concept for a cancelled film called Planet of the Titans, which featured a redesigned Enterprise from Ralph McQuarrie, which ended up inspiring the USS Discovery. It’s a lovely bridge, but not very practical.
From there we see the Enterprise A, B, C, D and E (with the D having multiple extra rooms), all looking absolutely stunning, but it doesn’t end there. It’s fully up to date with the bridges of the Enterprise F and brand new Enterprise G, which looks absolutely glorious. It ends the Enterprises with a new version of the Enterprise J featuring a see-through hull with visible cities, parks and water inside.
But it doesn’t end there, there’s a bonus Voyager bridge, with more to come in the future – hopefully we see the rest of the hero ships as well as other locations on ships, and some non-hero ships as well as alien bridges.
I look forward to the future updates of this software.

20 questions for fic writers
Thank you so much for tagging me, @divinemissem13! ❤️
1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 127
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 660,997
3. What fandoms do you write for? Star Treks, mostly Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, Picard, and Voyager.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Tuvok’s Secret (G): Tuvok has a secret — and he trusts only one person onboard to keep it. (Kathryn Janeway & Tuvok)
Feet on the Ground (G): Something solid slams into Kathryn’s back. She stumbles forward, bumping Mark, who in turn careens into someone else. Kathryn turns to glare at the probably inebriated party-goer who didn’t watch where they were going. But, instead, she looks up to achingly familiar dark eyes and the curves and lines of a tattoo that Kathryn spent the last eighteen months telling herself she didn’t miss. (Chakotay/Kathryn Janeway)
The Halo Effect (M): Tom Paris and Kathryn Janeway didn’t intend to fall in love. (Kathryn Janeway/Tom Paris)
Fly Me to the Moon (E): Kathryn Janeway and Tom Paris never met each other years before Voyager. Never served on a covert mission together. Never fell in love. Never planned a future together. Nope, never happened. Because a secret like that could lead to some … complex dichotomies. (Kathryn Janeway/Tom Paris)
Bad Ensign (T): Harry Kim finds out he missed out on an important part of the Starfleet Academy experience. Hilarity and dirty jokes ensue. (ensemble, friendship fic)
5. Do you respond to comments? Yes. If someone was kind enough to leave a comment, I’m going to thank them.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I used to not know how to answer this question, but I recently got a kudos on Honey, I’m Home and while that story definitely isn’t “sit down crying” angst, I feel like maybe it qualifies? (Though In the Doorway might also fit under that criteria? Both stories are Kathryn Janeway/Tom Paris, but they only get together in one of them.)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Either Feet on the Ground or Youthful Exuberance (Some Kind of Love). Feet on the Ground has Janeway and Chakotay finding their way together after their Delta Quadrant trauma (note: Chakotay is afraid to leave the Sol system for fear of getting pulled into the Delta Quadrant again — Prodigy!Chakotay didn’t exist yet when I wrote that but, from what I’ve heard, he could possibly relate). Youthful Exuberance lets our heroes, Christopher Pike and Una Chin-Riley, have all manner of ups and downs, but the tags promise a 100 percent happy ending and I was determined to deliver.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not that I’m aware of, usually.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes. Vanilla because I find that interesting to write. (I’ll read all sorts of stuff.)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I write crossovers within the Trekverse. The two craziest allowed Tuvok and Geordi LaForge to have tea together (Asunder [T] Kathryn Janeway/Tom Paris) and Shannon O’Donnell Janeway to tell Benny Russell how much his writing has meant to her (Meeting of the Minds [G] Shannon O’Donnell Janeway & Benny Russell, Kathryn Janeway & Benjamin Sisko).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Other than by ChatGPT, not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, In the Doorway was translated into Russian.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, and am doing so again.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? NCC 1701
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? There’s one I technically finished about Tom Paris and Owen Paris in the aftermath of Owen’s beta canon torture by the Cardassians. But it’s really dark and I don’t know if I’ll ever edit or post it.
16. What are your writing strengths? Adaptability (to prompts), brevity, details.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I’m having trouble lately with voice and lack of vocabulary variety.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? If necessary, a beta fluent in the language can be very helpful.
19. First fandom you wrote for? I consider that to be Voyager, but recently reflected on an even earlier fandom for me.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? My most recent fic always holds a place in my heart, so Disarmed (Mirror Una Chin-Riley/Mirror Christopher Pike) is special to me, and also was an interesting mental stretch because I’d never before written sex that the characters think is good but I think isn’t good. But my all-time favorite? Youthful Exuberance (Some Kind of Love). It’s my novel length love letter to Chris and Una, and it means a lot to me.
Tagging: Tumblr has been doing this fun thing lately where I don’t see posts from people I follow. So, if you actually see this, please consider yourself tagged with no pressure. Also, in addition to the wonderful people tagged by @divinemissem13, I’m tagging @grissomesque @fiadorable @emilie786 @genius2mania @lorcaswhisky @enterprise-come-in @marymoss1971 @sun-lit-roses @kejsarinna @iamstartraveller776 @isagrimorie @emonydeborah and the fantastic folks I’m not thinking of right now because I have tag anxiety.

This is one of the greatest things ever. Walk around every single version of the U.S.S. Enterprise in photorealistic 3D in your browser, from the Roddenberry Archive. On a phone you just see wraparound 3D pics. On a PC or laptop you get the full 3D interactive experience. They NEED to make this VR compatible, it'll be beyond words.
There are more Enterprises here than Tumblr will allow me photos of, and more will likely be added.
Tumblr media
Here's the TOS Enterprise, which appears in several incarnations ("The Cage", "Where No Man Has Gone Before" and TOS proper as well as TAS with the second turbolift!), has the correct original graphics and is perfect.
Tumblr media
This is the bridge from the unmade Star Trek: Phase II series (whose pilot episode "In Thy Image" was rewritten to become Star Trek: The Motion Picture), with it's legendary big comfy command sofa seat and tactical display bubble!
Tumblr media
The Motion Picture, such an accurate recreation that there's even a very faint flicker on the rear-projection animated screens as seen in the movie.
Tumblr media
Enterprise NX-01, looking exactly as it did in "Broken Bow"
Tumblr media
Recognise this? It's the briefing room of Discovery season 2's version of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701. Although at the front of the saucer on the "real" ship, here it's off the second bridge door which may well be where the set was IRL.
Tumblr media
I wasn't expecting modern Trek to be represented equally as the originals in this project, but it is. This is the Enterprise from Strange New Worlds, with Pike's Ready Room located just off the bridge.
Tumblr media
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. My favourite version of the classic bridge, as a kid I drew all these control panels and stuck them on my bedroom walls. And now I can look around and look at them all close-up! They've even replicated the noticable TVs stuffed into the panels for the more complex animated screens.
Tumblr media
The Enterprise-C bridge from "Yesterday's Enterprise". This one has always fascinated me, being a low-budget TV set (formerly the Enterprise-D battle bridge, originally built from the rain-damaged TMP set's back wall and redressed endlessly though TNG) representing TNG's immediate predecessor. In the episode they mostly shoot the back wall and imply the consoles make a huge circle, but here you can see the set's real dimensions and the weirdness of the classic movie helm/nav console in front of the TNG con/ops panels. I love it.
Tumblr media
You know how much I love the Kelvin movies, so seeing this was amazing. For some reason the consoles don't have their screens lit (hopefully this'll be fixed soon), but you can see the saucer under the window and it's shiny and amazing.
Tumblr media
The last thing I expected was the U.S.S. Titan-A/Enterprise-G bridge, but it's here. And the lights are on.
Other bridges available to explore which I'm out of pictures to show: The Enterprise-D (of course), Enterprise XCV-330 (the ringship, based on concept art for the unmade non-Trek series "Starship"), the Planet of the Titans U.S.S. Enterprise (again, based on concept art for a cool multi-levelled set) and the "launch" U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 (based on the very first piece of TOS bridge set concept art), the Enterprise-E, the Enterprise-F (seen on viewscreen for all of 2 minutes in Picard) and the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656!
Take a bow lads, you've done good. Now just add VR support!
That link again.

We had the constitution-class intrepid, NCC-1631, there was an excelsior class NCC-38907, the Intrepid-Class NCC-74600, and now this new Duderstadt-class NCC-79520
Looking at memory alpha, the only ships to get -Letter registries are
Discovery(1031 and 1031-A) (refit) Tikhov (1067-M)(we never see any others) Excalibur (1664/1664-M) Enterprise (1701/A/B/C/D/E/F)(possibly a G will be shown as readouts seen in PIC indicate F is getting decommissioned early but why do I feel like that might be plot relevant? lol. J was a possible future) Nash (2010-5) ?!? Yelchin (4774-E)(we never see any others) Voyager (74656/A/B/J) (A is referenced in an earlier season of PIC, B was caught by eagle eye viewers looking at readouts about the fleet in PIC season 3 as being launched during frontier day) Titan (80102/80102-A) (apparently they stripped the luna-class version to incorporate many components into the A, thus it being a refit despite being an entirely new class, weird but okay?)
So 8 known registries to be continued. Two of which were major refits (Discovery/Titan)
There are a number of ships with additional names (Endeavor, intrepid, potemkin, defiant (defiant-class version had a different registry from the constitution-class) etc). Registries are more of a lineage than just the names.
Just find it interesting. We know why Enterprise and Voyager registration numbers were continued, but there are stories there for the others. Three of those ships are 31st century.

With the heroic efforts of the Enterprise-D and Titan-A crews, Earth was saved from a sinister Borg attack, dealing a final blow to the Collective. In light of this victory, Starfleet reappraised the Neo Constitution Class as a valid successor design. And in recognition of her crew's legacy, the Titan-A would be rechristened. Becoming the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-G), as she boldly returns to the frontier.
USS Enterprise NCC-1701-G Constitution III (Neo Constitution) Class In service: 2402 - present Commanded by: Seven of Nine
