Mommas, how about your kids?⁣ ⁣ For me, my hair can last about 4 days until things get fuzzy wuzzy.⁣ For Z, 1-2 days. 😂 She is so active (and in her defense, she plays hard with her little brother).⁣ ⁣ But it's all cool! I taught her when she was real little that we embrace the frizz in our household because I am not the momma to redo hair daily.⁣ ⁣ I commend mommas who take the time out in the mornings to refresh their kids' hair several times throughout the week.⁣ ⁣ However, I ain't about that life. Where is the time?⁣ ⁣ I rarely ever style my daughter's hair more than once per week. Too much manipulation of her fine hair is a recipe for unnecessary breakage. I style and let her hair be for one to two weeks.⁣ ⁣ To refresh my daughter's two week old #minitwists, I focused on re-twisting the perimeter of her hair and the first several rows in the front half of her head.⁣ ⁣ I oiled her entire head before proceeding to re-do her twists. I used aloe vera juice to moisten her hair, a gel cream from @onelittleparrot for hold, and @themanechoice serum mist as the sealant. The pictures on the left is how my hair looked when it was “curly” 🙄 Yeah pretty bad, hardly a curl in sight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I won’t lie, I put in A LOT of hard work to achieve these results.📈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I also had A LOT of set backs on my journey (and still do).📉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I literally did not know anything about hair when I started. But I stopped using that as an excuse and started to seek knowledge on how to properly care for my curls. 👩🏽‍🏫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I just want you to know that you CAN get the HEALTHY curls you want. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ALL hair is GOOD hair when it is properly loved. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’re reading this and thinking about going natural, my advice is to just do it! Don’t worry about what other people will say. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes or ask questions!
