£215 for a serum?? Say whaaaat?? When I say this serum is luxury, I mean LUXURY, LUXURY. A best selling product from Japan’s number one luxury skincare brand, @cledepeaubeaute, this serum promises to soften and hydrate skin (while protecting it from everyday skin concerns like pollution and dryness) to leave you with a silky glowy finish. The funny thing is that even though I only had a teeny tiny sample, I felt the effects of the serum almost straightaway. But the real clincher? My face was looking and feeling fab for a couple of days afterwards as well. This serum has really made me reevaluate my life lol. Like how can I get a full bottle of this gem because damn, I need it. And if you’re wondering how I got my hands on this wonder serum — no I did not fork out £215 for it (I wish) — I actually received this a free sample from a @sheerluxe email a couple of months back. If you’re like me, you cannot WAIT to strip off that makeup after a long day out! Most times, I go straight to the gym after I get off work, and MOST times I forget to bring my favorite makeup remover. So, I’ve gotten in the habit of putting my face wash and moisturizer in my bag on the mornings that I go to work! Here’s my super easy “post work skin routine”. • • • Products Used: - @albabotanica Enzyme Scrub - @garnierusa Anti Wrinkle Day Cream - Vaseline • • • I use this enzyme scrub for two primary reasons. 1. It’s a perfect scrub for making sure that all the makeup is cleared off of my skin. I usually go over my face and neck twice just to make sure I got everything. 2. It evens out my complexion in this harsh winter weather while making my skin glow! Once I’m done scrubbing all the makeup off, I apply my anti wrinkle cream to my face and neck and apply Vaseline to my lips. Then I’m all set to go work out! If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I used to not post without hair did or makeup done! There are some insecurities that I have about my skin and I’m sure some of you do as well.

Women of color have unique differences with a variety of undertone hues and although we are protected from the sun we still need to use sunscreen to prevent burning contrary to what one may believe, we experience blotchiness, uneven skin tone and prone to acne. We also deal with large pours, more reactive to inflammation and hyperpigmentation (dark spots) between 40-60 years of age.

So if you’re like me you probably found yourself looking for the best FULL coverage correct match makeup on the market along with contour pallets and concealers. But the only thing it ever did for me was accentuate the very thing I was trying to hide.
