actually i'm obsessed with undercover kuromisa seiji/natori fake dating AU [x][x] and now need there to be a hilariously grave misunderstanding where word gets around that natori shuuichi is dating the striking gothic mademoiselle and somehow rumours swirl that she resembles the matoba head's estranged sister

in the usual exorcists circle fashion of game-of-gossipy-telephone, someone starts whispering: is natori seeing the matoba daughter that infamously defected!? are they conspiring together in trying to bring the matoba clan to its knees??? how scandalous! how conniving!

word gets to ban who's sadly unobservant that his boss likes neither cats nor men all like @ shinobu: are you...perchance secretly dating natori shuuichi?

She wrote this in volume 14 so it was in 2012..... it's been 12 years and we STILL don't have a Taki special 😭😭😭 If the series end without it I'm gonna be so bitter sdsfsd. I know she said it's because she didn't have enough pages for it and maybe she hasn't gotten the opportunity to draw it since then but it's just so unfair to me that Nishimura & Kitamoto got to have a special but not Taki 🥲

I'm just sooo curious to know what idea she had in mind for a story from Taki's perspective... I wonder if she still want to draw it. And if there's anything she'll change now that we know more things about Taki, like her brother or her connection to Matoba... or her new girl friend from her class (Though I think it's likely her story would have something to do with her grandpa?)

(What she said at the end about Taki being "a gentle girl who make Natsume smiles even when he's having a tough time" is cute though. they're cute.)

Also. We need another Tanuma special too. Especially now that he seems to be given more importance in the plot. I like the Natori specials but there's just so many other characters I wish we'd get focus on/the perspective of... Though I think we'll definitely get a 3rd Teen Natori special at some point too (maybe where we learn how he met Shinobu and what's the deal with that weird vase and stuff?)

AND we need a Matoba special too (I have a theory that maybe instead of a 3rd Teen Natori special where we learn his relationship with Shinobu we get a Teen Matoba special from his POV. Which would be really cool. but we'll see ig.). I think the two characters who need a special the most now are definitely: 1. Taki, and 2. Matoba. And maybe Tanuma. (One of my dreams actually would be to get a Nanase special, specifically one where we learn more about her past similar to what the anime did, but where she's older instead of a child. Like we could see how the Matoba clan was before Seiji's birth and even meet his parents/grandpa and stuff, given they were referenced recently in canon. That'd be so cool but sadly Nanase get very little focus in the manga so idk if it'll ever happen...)

And now I want a Shinobu special too. And a Hiiragi special and a Reiko special and-

thanks to your manga chapter lists i have now caught up (i think) on the horrible exorcist arcs and OH MY GOD. a of all, i did know from fandom osmosis that matoba is a cat person but i did not expect him to start NAMING THEM OFF LIKE A FANTASY FOOTBALL ROSTER and asking one of them to come home with him???? 🥺😻 and secondly i loved when sensei goes "oooh look, natori's pro-matoba~~" and natori is like "that's disgusting and wrong. i've never - it's none of your - you have the nerve, the audacity - matoba is my rival, technically. and he is terrible, face-wise." (i'm reading into it a little. BUT NOT THAT MUCH??) and okay i should have been writing down my thoughts because they're all jumbled up now but i remember just loving how casually matoba was like "yeah one time when i was here with natori..." WHICH IMPLIES that they were basically hanging out all the time as teens?? in contrast to natori's backstory chapter which makes it sound like after the three-horned ayakashi thing natori would just go to meetings and hear people talk about matoba but not actually see him. even the only other time we see them together in that chapter is when natori is asleep, so again it's sort of matoba who provides us with all information about their relationship outside of when they first met. WAIT NO natori waking up at his house somehow with only matoba there like DID HE CARRY HIM???? i'm losing it. i can't believe y'all have been dealing with this for years at this point. how do you do it? like can you refer me to a therapist. i am losing my hinges as we speak.
