Natalya Orlov - Nightmare
Tumblr media Tumblr media

I was gonna wait until I had a backstory for this sad boi, but the truth is I've been a bit lazy with him so I said "fvck it" and decided to post it now and then write the character sheet later
He doesn´t have a lore as wild as Dientes (Sorry that one is the favorite lol), but some interesting thins about him:
He´s a combat medic
Kinda a bit of a nepobaby, since he´s Natalya "Raptor" Orlov grandson and that maaaaaay have influenced some connections in the russian army
He´s very tall and when many people meet him at first, they are intimidated by his scary look, however, once you know him he´s actually a cinnamon roll.
Ok when I first made him, I didn´t know there was a character in the first call of duty games that's also named "Aleksei Ivanovich" but that´s just coincidence those two aren´t related at all
that´s pretty much everything I have from him until now, sorry Aleksei you´re like the middle child of my OCs/j

Hair Colour: Sandy brown
Birthday: September 5th
Age: 23

Special Notes:
Resident fey hacker and manages many intelligence files. Because of being half human, his powers are weaker than a full blooded fey and therefore at a disadvantage on the battlefield at times. Camille “Cam” Hathaway
Race: Fairy

Mark Hathaway
Race: Fairy
Eye Colour: Light brown
Height: 5'1
Hair Colour: Sandy brown
Birthday: October 1st
Age: 21
Relationship Status: Single
Threat Level: Medium
Special Notes:
Unlike most of his siblings, Mark does not fight directly in the heat of the battle and instead is part of the sabotage teams that sneak directly into enemy bases or behind enemy lines. Squeamish about killing so he usually settles for passing by unnoticed and will use lethal force only if absolutely necessary.
Leah Hathaway
Race: Fairy
Eye Colour: Chocolate brown
Height: 5'0
Hair Colour: Dark brown
Birthday: August 15th
Age: 19
Relationship Status: Single
Threat Level: Medium
Special Notes:
Known to fight very badly at the beginning of a battle but kicks into high gear in the middle until the end. Can teleport long distances like her twin sister but has less control over it so she rarely uses her skill. Is known to be the most vulnerable out of her siblings and is the most protected one, hence always being targeted. Has trouble killing, even in life or death situations.
Geraldine Hathaway
Race: Fairy
Eye Colour: Chocolate brown
Height: 5'3
Hair Colour: Chestnut with orange highlights
Birthday: August 15th
Age: 19
Relationship Status: Single
Threat Level: High
Special Notes:
One of the most long ranged Leos in the fey resistance, although the distance she can teleport is admirable, making her an excellent hostage rescuer, her uses are limited. Considered to be the more mature twin and never hesitates to rise to a challenge. Is often mistook as a rebel or troublemaker because of her appearance but is actually one of the most hardworking and passionate members of the resistance.
Roxanna Hathaway
Race: Cloned fairy
Eye Colour: Dark brown
Height: 5'2
Hair Colour: Chestnut
Birthday: August 16th
Age: 19
Relationship Status: Single
Threat Level: Extreme
Special Notes:
Youngest of the siblings and clone of Leah and Geraldine. Able to use her teleportation skills frequently and quickly. Seems to be two steps ahead of everyone, jack of all trades and has regeneration skills that surpass the average fairy. Does not seem to be close to anyone in the fey resistance but Phoenix and Isla Dawson.

Go Fuck Yourself - Orlov
Tumblr media

Things you'd change in Ekaterina?
Oh Alley this is... hard since it's historical and all but let's try! It's fun!
1) please give me some kind of interesting dynamics with Catherine and Potemkin i hate that this made me like Orlov better ew
2) You know my issue with Andrey Razumovsky being played as such a perv but I now want to add to it the whole Natalya plot and the nurse and... ew, poor guy
3) I kind of wanted to know what has become of Liza? After the Bad Thing :/
4) The duel was somehow TOO angsty even for me? Too painful. That whole plotline. Same for the part with little Ivan but that I would not change, bc it's important, I would like... just turn the way around next time I watch
5) Using Subtitles Is Not Evil, Please Stop The Cursed Voiceover Thank You!

Office of rights group in Russia's North Caucasus torched
MOSCOW/January 17, 2018 (AP)(STL.News) — Masked attackers on Wednesday torched the office of the prominent Russian rights group Memorial in the region of Ingushetia, the latest escalation of tensions between the activists and officials in the North Caucasus.
The arson attack that Memorial said happened in the early hours came a week after the chief of the group’s branch in neighboring Chechnya was detained on suspicion of drug possession. The man’s arrest has been widely regarded as a payoff by Chechen authorities for Memorial’s work exposing rampant rights abuses in the region that saw two separatist wars in the 1990s.
Oleg Orlov, chief of Memorial’s North Caucasus research, told The Associated Press he believes the attack is linked to the crackdown on the activists’ work in Chechnya.
“I have no other theories: the only place we have tense relations with in the region is Chechnya,” Orlov said by the phone from the Ingush capital, Nazran.
Orlov said Memorial, which also investigates rights abuse in Ingushetia, does not encounter hostility from authorities there like it does in Chechnya.
Ingushetia’s leader, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, earlier on Wednesday met with Orlov and other activists and assured them of his support in conducting a fair probe, Orlov said.
Repression against government critics and rights advocates has often spilled over from Chechnya to neighboring Ingushetia, where Chechen operatives have been known to have a free hand.
A long-time Memorial activist in Chechnya, Natalya Estemirova, was kidnapped in 2010, and her body was found in Ingushetia. In 2016, a group of journalists traveling to Chechnya was attacked near the border between the two regions. Neither incident has been solved.
The attack on Memorial’s office in Nazran came a week after Oyub Titiyev, chief of the group’s branch in Chechnya, was arrested for drug possession. Police said marijuana was found in the car of the 60-year old activist after he was stopped by police. Memorial has described Titiyev’s arrest as an attempt to muffle a rare critic of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday denied suggestions of a possible link between the crackdown on Memorial in Chechnya and Wednesday’s arson attack in Ingushetia, saying the two incidents happened in two different regions.
Memorial has been a source for reports of enforced disappearances, torture and collective punishment perpetrated in Chechnya under Kadyrov. Local authorities have dismissed Memorial as an enemy, paid for by the West to smear the local government.
Orlov said he and some other Moscow-based activists have been staying in Ingushetia since late last week, traveling to Chechnya every day to work on the Titiyev case. Orlov said Memorial’s car had been consistently followed and stopped by the police in Chechnya.

IKEA PS is a 34-piece designer collection. How to tell everyone about the collection with zero media and production budget?
Our target is interested in design and loves Instagram. We used basic tagging feature of Instagram to built a 'website' inside the app. This little hack provided a great native way to explore the collection and became a big news in design media.

Sapphire Skies
by Belinda Alexandra
Genre: Historical Fiction Rating: 3/5 Released: 15 March 2014 Pages: 432 Format: Audiobook Buy it now! Lily has recently returned to Russia, where her parents fled when she was a child, to start a new life for herself and rediscover her roots. While she is on her way to work, she runs into a woman on the street who is trying to get rid of her dog. After an unfortunate accident, the two wind up spending a lot of time together, and slowly the woman begins to tell her about her experience with the famous Soviet fighter pilot Natalya Azarova, who disappeared during WWII and was labeled as a probable spy by the Soviet Union. As Lily is drawn into Natalya's mystery, Natalya's lover and wing man from her war days, Valentin Orlov, is investigating the mystery himself, and his story is playing out across the pages of newspapers nationwide. As he discovers a crashed WWII plane in a small village in Russia and Lily learns more about Natalya from the old woman, the mystery behind the most famous fighter pilot in Russia may finally come to light. I am not interested in Russia in the slightest. It's not a place I can envision myself visiting, I have never really had any interactions with Russians that would make me interested in learning more about their culture or history, and in light of current politics, I'm just not a fan. I had liked Belinda Alexandra's Silver Wattle, however, and thought I may as well give this a try. I was surprised to find myself enjoying it a lot more than I was expecting, but the subject matter still didn't interest me much. Alexandra has a great way of bringing the past to life and making her characters jump off the page. I appreciate her skills with writing historical fiction and find her characters, plots, style, and pacing to all be top-notch. I look forward to reading another one of her books, but the subject matter of this one just wasn't my cup of tea. If any readers are more interested in Soviet history, this would likely be a rewarding read. As for myself, I think I'll be picking up Tuscan Rose next.
