Here's Part 2.

But It's Just My Take before Part 3 takes Place! I think they're somewhat interconnected!

"Thank you Naruto-kun." she smiled before he felt her leaving his close proximity between her, that somehow made him feel empty, as if something was snatched away from what is rightfully his.

Naruto was confused, he studied a lot on human interactions or at least on social interactions that is suitable in every occasion or situation to ready himself as the next Hokage guided by his very own sensei, Kakashi, the 6th Hokage.

Based on that, he actually learned that there's a lot of meaning behind a 'Thank You'- he can't just wrap his mind around that just yet... isn't saying thank you just a sign of gratitude from someone who did something important for you? However, he did kind of understand it right at the moment.

Who was he fooling exactly?

Hinata's tone confuses him, is she implying that she's thankful about his compliment about her hair? Naruto's not sure either, or..

or..

or what?

He questioned his thoughts that seems to contradict his instincts and feelings.

Maybe..

Maybe she was saying thank you for all the times he helped her?

Naruto shook his head, immediately ignoring the very thought of that happening. That might sound as if Hinata's leaving him, letting him go, that's not just right.

Hinata leaving him? As if.

That would never happen even in his darkest dreams.

Naruto was so wrong he wanted to bang his head on the metal handle on his apartment's stairways.

He hasn't seen Hinata for two weeks now.

Sure, missions are back to back, but as much as he heard from his well known sensei Team 8 didn't gotten that much of missions and either Hinata too. Which increased his confusion and made his frustration grew.

Where is she?

Then this happened.

He was walking leisurely in the busy streets of Konoha, one Saturday morning, he was so focused on checking some stores that sells Cinnamon Buns and that's when he get a glimpse of dark blue hair on his right that made his heart warm immediately after seeing.

At first he thought it was just an illusion and so he blinked for several times before gazing back onto that same store, only to find that so familiar silhouette of her.

'He missed her a lot, it was so painful'

He jogged towards her before he shouted her name, "Hinata!" it was surely loud enough to be heard because even with this distance, he can saw her body tensed up.

Huh?

Tensed up? Naruto reasoned that maybe she's just shocked to see him at this place, at this time. Surely that's just it, right?

Safe to say he isn't entirely right.

Before his foot can enter that said store, he had saw how Hinata turned her body to face his direction and looked around. It made him feel an itch, a growing desire to be seen by that pearly orbs quickly or this itch will continue, this frustration will continue -

And then, she did.

Her eyes found him.

And for that, Naruto felt a satisfaction he never thought he would feel right at that point.

That very eyes he dreamed off, shrink, probably in shock and the familiar red hue painted her pale cheeks.

His grin doubled and surely the shine on his eyes too, he badly want to just run up fastly as he can to be with her maybe if he could just-

When he looked again to gaze at Hinata, he found himself dumbfounded.

Why?

It's as if Hinata wasn't even there in that position she was in moments ago to begin with.

Naruto is so sure, she ran away before he can sense it. Anger seeped from his veins and takes a root to his heart.

Devastated, Naruto stood there on his spot, the time seemed to not run for the blond male because his sunshine just left him.

Hinata, left him- more like, avoided him.

But why?

Why did she do that?

He stilled on his place just before the tiled floor of the shop, blocking some of the way.

It's as if he didn't noticed the time, everything became a blur because there's only one thing that on his mind right now.

Hinata...

The blond, wilted like a sunflower without any up most care from it's owner and an enough absorption of sunlight, figuratively.

hehehe I'd do this as a double pairing, shikatema and chokarui. They're set up by Ino, no photos, just names and personality description. Karui and Temari are friends with Ino, and so are Shikamaru and Chouji. None of the four are enthused so this is what they do; Temari and Karui agree to switch while Chouji and Shikamaru do the same. What ends up happening is Ino was right all along-- Romantic comedy!! (what do you think? should i write it after setting sun series?)

Meet ugly! Alright! College AU: Party at Sakura's house that she rents with Ino and Hinata. Naruto eats something that doesn't suit his stomach and with all the drinking, he vomits. They haven't really met until this one particular hangout. Hinata is the only one in the group that isn't immediately grossed out. Naruto is embarrassed when she helps him clean up. They start to get to know each other after that. Cute and wholesome 10/10

Realizing they’ve basically been in a relationship for a while, Peeniss.

They are teachers in the same school! they have been for years, having little moments here and there, they're closer to each other in a way that the people in their lives can't fully seem to grasp. Favorite Aspect

I like how even though she is shy and doesn’t have great self-confidence, she always stays kind. I think that’s not easy, especially in a world that can be as harsh as the shinobi world.

I also thought the scene where she tried to rescue Naruto from Pain was cool. I wish we saw more of her in action.

Least Favorite Aspect

I love NaruHina, but it felt like Hinata’s character became too focused on Naruto, especially later on in the series. I wish we saw more of her goals and aspirations outside of Naruto.

Then again, most Naruto women need more development.

I also don’t like that she’s a housewife in Boruto. I’m not saying that she should be on the battlefield, but maybe she could have been a teacher or something.

Favorite Quote

For now, I’ll go with this quote she says to Naruto.

She likes baking, and is VERY good at it. Everyone asks her for recipes.

I also like the idea that after the Fourth War, she and Hanabi abolish the Caged Bird Seal. IDK if it is canon or not, but it is to me.

I love her being close friends with Team 8, Neji, and Hanabi. Also, I like the idea of her hanging out with Sakura, Ino, and Tenten.

OTP

I love a lot of Hinata ships, she is very shippable. My favorites are NaruHina (though I don’t like how canon handled it,) InoHina, GaaHina, and ShinoHina. I also enjoy SasuHina and SakuHina.

I teared up when I saw Naruto and Hinata drssed up for their wedding in the last episode of the anime.

On a whim, I decided to write HakuHina as a side ship in my fics Lots of Love and Lucky Paws. I think I turned myself into a fan of that ship. https://archiveofourown.org/works/53432953

I liked your takes on ItaHina and HidaHina, though I think those would only work in AUs and or massive canon divergence fics.

I’d also be down to read Fu/Hinata or Yahiko/Hinata (in a time travel story,) though there are only a couple of Fu/Hinata fics and no YahiHina. I also haven’t read too much poly Hinata stuff, which is funny since my OTP in poly (Nagato/Yahiko/Konan.)

One of my mutuals likes Jugo/Hinata, I might have to check that one out

I’m not into cousin incest, so NejiHina is a no-go. Same with Hinata/Hanabi, Hinata/Boruto, and Hinata/Himawari. I’m not into shipping her with Toneri from Naruto: The Last. If you’ve seen that movie, you probably know why. Toneri’s a fucking creep.

I love Nagato, but IDK how well he’d work with Hinata. Maybe only in a time travel story.

No Madara/Hinata, I don’t think it would work out.

Unpopular Opinion: IDK if this is unpopular, but I wish we saw her using more diverse skills outside of just the Byakugan, Gentle Fist and its variants.

Ramen with a Smile, Chapter 20...ish

So, basically, ‘Ramen with a Smile’ (which I have saved as ‘A Bowl of Ramen and a Smile’ on the Google doc where I write it, strangely enough) is a Naruhina AU where Hinata, instead of being the mighty princess of the Hyuuga clan, is instead a civilian and works at Ichiraku.

Lately I’m posting quite frequently *only because she have a tons of unfinished draws waiting for months*.

I’ve started this fanart of the beautiful and heart wrenching White Lilies by @dayseternal-blog about 2 months ago, probably 3, but I was never happy with the result. Now, with this, I’m a liittle more happy.

“She knit a red scarf for him. She never gave it to him. Days turned into months, months turned into too late. Naruto starts dating. Hinata decides to move on. A sickness takes root in the heart.”

If you haven’t ever read this fanfiction and you are into NaruHina, please try to read it! It’s a what-if fanfic, where Hinata never had the chance to give the scarf to Naruto. I’m completely in love with it and it makes me cry so much 😭😭😭 the author had made a wonderful work at building up the story and the anguish of protagonists.

Hi! I do have some recs, but bear with me. I didn't read much about them so you will forgive me if I can't give you many recs.

First we have:

A Question of Professionalism by GremlinSR. A stunning fic, wrote beautifully and all the characters are IC. It's my favourite SasuHina, and I have such a soft spot for it. It follows canon until after Naruto The Last and then goes canon divergent. Absolutely lovely work.

with you by Tilim. A very enjoyable fic, and I loved it. Great characterization and development. It’s canon up untile after the fouth ninja war and then it diverges.

Saudade by Fher34. Lovely, lovely work. A tender SasuHina that explores their relationship with sweet snapshots of their life together. I urge you to go through the author profile because they have a rich page with lots of SasuHina fics.

Evanesce by ChasingAnswers. Short but sweet OS.

The Chill of Winter by Lanse. Cute OS, a lovely start for a relationship between Sasuke and Hinata. Also, Sasuke is absolutely besotted already.

Miru Hoshi by Reinao Tanaka. Lovely canon divergence, with lots of action and love. I also urge you to take a look at the author’s page because they have a lot of worthy SasuHina stories in their profile.

Bittersweet by Lisea18. Hinata moving on from unrequited love and falling in love with Sasuke. Plus ANBU!Hinata which I always appreciate.

Ikigai by Lanse. Lots of Hinata whump in this one, and a not-so-noble Sasuke coming to help her. If you are searching for healty relationship, this may not be for you.

Our Son by SilverKitsune2017. What happens when they have a son after a one night stand? Well imagine that in the canon universe. Drama is assured to begin. A bit of Clan Hyuuga bashing, but overall I enjoyed it. The author has quite the collection of SasuHina fics in their profile, so it’s worth checking out.

Operation SasuHina: Halloween by MsChifSantos. This one is a Modern AU, with our Sasuke triying to get the girl he likes to be his girlfriend. A nice cute fic, very good if someone likes a bit of humor too.

Plain, simple, but mine by BK-Black Knight. Another moder AU, with some found family feels.

The Hyuuga curse by BWL. If you like some crack and humor this fic is the right choice for you. Also the SasuHina is very sweet.

Better off dead by wingedmercury. A well thought AU in the canon setting.

Hold on tight by Unbalanced kiss. A hight school AU with Sasuke as a knight in shining armor saving Hinata from a nasty situation.

All for love by Rampantt. Deals with some side (and abusive) established NaruHina, but SasuHina is endgame.

And last but not least my fic, Re-Life. It’s canon compliant until the end of the fourth ninja war and then diverges.

My first favorite recently is Sign of the Times -

Canon divergence. it's a 5k two part fic based in a terrible universe where both Temari and Kankurō die in the war and the mismanagement of the grief left behind for Gaara and Shikamaru. Very sad, awful and gut-wrenching.

I specially liked mixing the tenses in the first chapter to show that to Gaara it all feels like it's still happening in real time, even though it's been a while. I don't know if that was the best way to show that but I enjoyed it. Wrote it in two days, sobbed the entire time and it's probably one of the rawest thing I've written in a long time.

My second favorite is Setting Sun (my beloved)

This is going to be a multi-fic series, current word count going at 50k at 11 chapters. Modern High School AU with a royal political intrigue twist. As I've gone on and on often, setting sun was supposed to be a prequel set in high school to a naruhina fic i wrote in early 2017 and discontinued because of negative feedback and personal issues, but I never stopped thinking about it and started working on the worldbuiding to work around the setting. The premise? Princess in hiding meets average dude and they grow by learning to understand each other. I decided they were too young, so I later made it into the current setting. I also changed a lot of what the naruhina fic will be so I only left it up for archival purposes; the current setting sun au only has traces now.

This is a 6k shikatema fic (+18!!!) I'm very obsessed with lovers that yearn for each other but can't make it work the first time around. Exes to lovers and all that - one of my favorite works because it's inspired by poetry

Started writing it in 2018, finished it may this year at 32 chapters, 98k total. I have a complicated relationship with this fic because I went through a lot and grew a lot as a writer and person during that time, but I'm still proud of it just because I poured a lot of myself into it and did my best to make this world come alive. Set in a modern AU in a fictional country, Astrid is a famous NYC model that's spiraling publicly under her mother's control and decides to go to her family for the summer, where she meets Hiccup, a sweet dude that grew up neglected by his parents and is attached to Astrid's aunt by a haunting secret. I can't say whether it's good anymore, but it has a special place in my heart.

This was originally published under my one-shot collected Tales of Two Ninjas but I felt like it didn't really fit with the rest of the AUs and wanted to publish it separately as well. So if you're new to the story I hope you enjoy! And if you've read it I hope you can enjoy it again. :)

"I didn't realize…" He closed his eyes, fingers curling into fists. "What can I do, Sakura-chan?"

Sakura let out a soft sigh. "You were never one to give up," she said, swirling her now cold tea in its cup. "But-" she quickly interjected, seeing Naruto perk up slightly. "But...if you do decide to do...anything. Be careful. Your feelings aren't the only ones at play."

Naruto contemplated her words carefully. "She's on a date," he reminded himself.

She's moving on.

Sakura groaned. "This is hard. You both are my friends. I want you both to be happy."

"I want her to be happy too-"

"And what if-" Sakura took a deep breath before staring him square in the eye. "What if she's trying to be happy with someone else?"

Naruto was usually good with words, but this time he didn't have an answer for her.
