This BlazBlue Week (and this Black Friday) the company EightySixed is having a sale, from now until the 27th! Es was featured prominently in the promotions for Entropy Effect, but surprised many by being unplayable in the early access release. Strangely, unlike other "confirmed but not out yet" characters such as Taokaka and Jin, Es shows up in the character select screen alongside all of the other currently playable cast members- you just can't ever unlock her.

This leads me to assume that Es was absolutely planned to be released with the early access version, but her development was behind schedule.

This seems to be confirmed through evidence found by Damien over on Twitter, who was able to find a playable but very unfinished version of Es in the game's files. They have a very interesting thread where they showcase everything they found, including videos of early gameplay for both Es and Taokaka.

They've also found evidence for what seems to be the intended roster for the game's full release. In case of aversion to spoilers, the characters will be listed below- or you could follow the above links to see the same list from the individual who found this information for us. Either way, if you have a Twitter account and were excited about these datamines, please go give Damien some love!

I had expected that the characters used as bosses wouldn't become playable, but it seems I'll be proven wrong! Awesome!
