Really pointless pokemon pet peeve. But the one thing I couldn't stand about gen 5 games was when N was the hero of truth. Because wasn't the whole point of the games that N was blind to the full truth. That he was manipulated? While he had a point technically N didn't know the truth. So would the dragon of the hero of truth really side with N?

It just annoyed me because it felt out of line with the characterization and lore. While I get that it's because there are two versions for marketing, I always found N more of an idealist than someone speaking out the truth.

(Though I think both work for our protagonist. Like either the truth that Pokemon and people can live in harmony. Or the ideals of a world where they can)

It also carries over for the M14 of the anime, because the whole point of that was Damon not knowing the TRUTH about the dragon force. So Damon being Reshirams champion seemed kind of dumb. Like Ash stopping Damon wasn't even ideals, he literally was like "yo literally everything's on fire, stop. Also ur killing Victini man"

While I like the concept Gamefreak was going for. And I enjoyed the story, it just kind of felt like a plot error for marketing's sake.
