so... a train of thought now that we're in this weird powerless timeline

even if they grew up in it (ignoring that there's a chance they wouldn't have existed at all) if they don't have powers they never would've been bought by reggie, so they never would've been raised in that environment, five never would've gotten stuck in the apocalypse, he never would've joined the commission, never would've come back followed by two fellow assassins toting around a time traveling briefcase, they never would've tried to hunt him down which means they never would've gotten klaus and klaus would have never gotten his hands on the aforementioned briefcase so he never would've ended up in vietnam.

not ending up in vietnam means he never met dave which means he never fell in love with dave, never considered staying with him thus never risked the timeline or the world in 2019 and so the commission never killed dave (it could've been the war but it wasn't idk what to tell u) AND without the commission making him a target he could've possibly survived the war.

which means there's a chance dave got to live the life klaus wanted so badly for him to have. even if it meant they never met.

s3 was way better than s2

i was often disappointed, kinda bored, and frustrated watching the second season. it had its good parts (some high quality ones too, lookin at you boardroom mission) but overall?? was not impressed.

this new season however?? this felt more like the ua i know and love

was this season perfect?? no. did i still have moments of frustration or disappointment?? yes. but it was nowhere near the way i felt watching s2 for the first time. there was so much more to love.

but..idk.. he had been homeless, drinking, alone aside from ben, and on drugs for over a decade at that point... like.. s1 he's at his palest but he's also at his unhealthiest??

babylove is a sick twig for most of the season - between *gestures at the above* and the torture, going through withdrawal, being in a war zone, and then going through withdrawal again he's not exactly having the most fun and sexy time

meanwhile in s2 he's spent 3 years sober being well-fed, having reliable places to stay, and laying out in the sun like a cat bc he's around people he know won't hurt him

and s3 starts right where s2 ends so yeah he looks the same. things going on are a little different, sure, but he has someplace to stay and he has food and he's not high or drunk and he's with his family

im just saying there is, perhaps, some kind of correlation or reasoning between his appearance and the season

hotel oblivion is (in the comics) a prison on the moon

therefore steve rogers could totally be trapped in hotel oblivion and i cant believe i didn't find this way to connect my interests earlier

i really do like the posters for s4 but i think it would've been cool if the uniform pictures had been from s1. like a real 'then and now' thing. like i know that lila wouldn't have had a uniform picture but they did have a younger version of her on the show so... they could've used her. idk. i think it would've been cool

klave is endgame whether we get that on screen or not. truly i do not give a shit about your negative opinions or depressing takes on characterization and whatever the fuck else.

s1 was amazing. iconic. legendary.

s2 sucked ass (derogatory) it's like they got full of themselves and then forgot a lot about the characters

s3 was actually pretty great. it didn't have the same vibe as s1 but i had given up on us getting that back anyway so eh.

s4 is the final season and i'm going in with low hopes (i was so hype for s2 and then it was so bad. it truly ruined the show for me for a long time. THE biggest drop in happiness ever. so while i watched s3 i didn't really go into it very excited or hopeful) and whatever happens happens. however, if it sucks, i will be pretending it didn't happen. if it gives us canon i hate that canon is going in the trash. idc anymore. i stopped caring when they showed with s2 that they didn't give enough of a fuck

good plot, in-character characters, a great soundtrack, and some happy goddamn endings are all i want.
