Mal loving to kiss and squish Rayas cheeks because he finds her adorable.

I like to think Mal has apologized profusely to Raya for hurting her because of how he treated her when she came back. He’s been opening up more, warmly embracing her every chance he gets. He wants to let her know he will always protect her.

Side note: I have been feeling very unmotivated to create blades art recently mostly because it’s discouraging sometimes when you feel like you still aren’t skilled enough. Making art for blades is something I enjoy but when Im constantly focusing on improving and creating content it just tires me out. I do have a drawing idea I’m planning but it’s hard to find a reference that inspires me

You hear a finger snap and before you can even start to comprehend what's going on, the bottle of whiskey in Joshua's hand combusts in flame. You're frozen and your mouth is agape as you see the bathrobe catches aflame and soon the fire starts spreading all over his body in unnatural swiftness and ferocity. The terrible smell of burning flesh instantly hits your nose. It reminds you of that day when Ash burned Ronald, but a hundred times worse. Your stomach churns and your heartbeat is hammering so loudly in your ears that it's partially drowning the poor man's screams of agony. Ash touches your shoulder gently and you jolt in surprise, body unfurling and jumping back from Ash as you watch him warily, your blue eyes stinging. You reach up your face to wipe your eyes from the welling tears and realize that your mask of shadows has disappeared. 

"What the hell, Ash?!" you can't help but yell at him. "Why did you do that?"

Ash tries to approach you calmly, hands raised in what you assume is an attempt to comfort you, his emerald eyes are filled with worry. 

"Gabe… I did it for you; I know you don't have the heart to kill anybody. So, I did it for you, for your own good—"

You shake your head vigorously. "Don't. Don't say that," you cut him off firmly. "That man just answered all of our questions without a fuss. Hell, he has a family he was about to go back to. How could you do that to him?"

"Please Gabe… Everything I do has always been for you and the good of the family…" he's basically pleading now and you can taste the desperation in his tone.

You shake your head. "No, Ash… What you did is incredibly messed up…" Your voice is soft and trembling slightly. "There's no justification for killing that man in the first place, much less for killing him in such a… gruesome way. It's terrible…"  ©

Ivy draws people in her sketchbook a lot starting around Step 2. It can lead to some awkward moments, but Qiu and Tamarack are used to it, and because they’re her friends they tend to be the subjects of her drawings more often. That said, in a crushing stage, Ivy gets a little more flustered when she’s caught lol

sketches of (one of) my blades mc eva (+ tyril LOL) for @choicesoctober :D i have blades mcs for each of the LIs so here is my tyrilmancer mc which i also currently use for blades 2. some basics:

human, he/she, bisexual, gender is ?????? but mostly fem-presenting

best friends with mal

most proficient with the bow

ends up living in undermount with tyril/where ever tyril goes. their interracial relationship causes a stir amongst the elves

tends to use light magic a lot

dies of old age and traumatizes tyril forever LOL

i also came up with lore for an AU where eva isn't MC and meets tyril and the others in a different way. details under the cut ↓

eva is born to a poor family in whitetower. he lives in the nooks and crannies where she becomes fast friends with mal and his sister.

he's taken in by the temple of light at age 8 after they find his magical affinity. he lives at the temple for a while before escaping it at age 20. her escape causes an issue for the temple because of her practice of magic outside of temple conventions.

she leaves whitetower and stays in port parnassus.

when eva hears of nia's reformation of the temple he goes back to whitetower to see the change. he's skeptical but hopefully optimistic for the change nia is doing. there he meets mal again and decides to help around his and nia's orphanage.

that's also where eva meets tyril. it takes a few years but they finally get together, but the relationship is on-and-off. they don't end up together for good.

tyril is the elven equivalent of 25; eva is 30 (in this AU).

meet my mc: magdalene constantino from bloodbound for @choicespride trans month 2023! she's my favorite girl. a few things about her:

full name is magdalene catalina agoncillo constantino, nickname magda, but prefers magdalene. filipino, she/her, bisexual, polyam trans woman.

trapped in the body of a 23yo forever (thanks gaius)

magdalene grew up in a catholic home. her parents we devout believers, particularly her mother, who turned to religion whenever she had visions because of being a bloodkeeper.

in-universe, she chose the name magdalene after coming out because of an obsession with mary magdalene growing up. (the meta reason is that mary magdalene is the first person to see jesus out of the tomb, mc is the first person to see gaius out of the sarcophagus.. i like bible references lmao. catalina is from st catherine of siena.)

her coming out as a trans woman was initially a rocky spot with her parents, but they came around and now wholeheartedly support her.

i have a bunch of verses on who turns her and who she ends up with, but her in-game romance is kamilah. in all my other verses, she ends up with gaius one way or another a decade or two down the line.

i decided to make my bb mc trans because the gender essentialism in regards to the bloodkeeper annoyed me. magdalene is trans because fuck that. i also headcanon there to have been bloodkeepers who were trans men before her.
