Okay so if the whole wedding debacle hadn’t happened (which I’m still mad at Bonnie for because we deserved a Kai redemption arc and to see him finally have a chance to see what family could really be like and we could’ve had it if she hadn’t sent Kai back to a prison world) this is what I’d like to imagine uncle Kai would be like with baby Lizzie and Josie
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRTUwT1C/
HOW did this ask escape for so long?? I'm so stale.
BUT YES, that is so much the relationship they'd have, I'm giggling!!
And same, I'm so bitter that we couldn't have a redemption arc. I feel like Kai wouldn't be bad with kids as long as he isn't competing against them for 1.) having importance to the family / coven, and 2.) literal survival. Someone who's the eldest of six other kids, I actually think would be quite good with them, given the chance. Ugh, I so wish they kept him around and we could have scenes like that. And Jo / Liv / Bonnie, etc. all terrified and waiting for him to lose patience / mess up, but every time, he proves them wrong. 😭

seeing the degradation thing, maybe he's fucking you real rough and he's saying multitudes of mean things and when you come down, you start crying because you actually think he means it like (in your words) a: you faithless, filthy waste of breath, and good god, just shut it… you filthy-mouthed, disobedient thing, a stupid whore, a desperate, pathetic little brat, for examples sake. i know i'd find it so fucking hot during sex, but after i'd reflect on it and, as a chronic over thinker, believe it
oh, i get it. in a manner of speaking, degradation is not for the weak, i suppose, especially the anxiety-ridden and slightly self-doubting overthinkers of the henry-infatuated bunch. completely understandable.
even if you did start crying afterward due to having convinced yourself of his words ringing true, you see, my sick self would still want him to laugh at me and call me pathetic for having done so, stupidly. but that's just me and my therapy-craving inner world. i genuinely need him to be mean to me to the point i'd feel numb, it's something i question frequently. i just love a rude, apathetic, ruthless man with no redeeming qualities for some freudian reason.
in a more gentle scenario that i think would appease a broader selection of people, though, there is potential for a profounder kind of aftercare from henry. i do believe he wouldn't be able to know what to do or say around a crying individual (i believe him to be on the spectrum), but if it was someone he cared about, i sense he would at least try. he wouldn't ask what's wrong — he'd know, i think, based on the roughness he had previously inflicted upon you and the words he had spat at you — and merely hold you, wordlessly, thereby reassuring you of his remaining support and adoration. that would mostly be it.
oh, and he'd boil you some tea afterward. nothing like a warm rag and slightly warmer chamomile tea after sex so rough and verbally degrading you'd be left weeping.

The only way I can see Bi-Han being mean or cruel to Kuai is when he's younger its more out of jealousy. Have you seen how little kids sometimes get upset when their parents brings a new baby? It's basically 'How dare you replace me!?' sort of thing and then tantrum ensues.
Obviously they usually get over it but I could imagine for the first years of Kuai's life Bi-Han was definitely a jealous little kid before he got over himself.
I know it sometimes happens, however in my experiences, how a child reacts to a new baby is often connected to how parents raised and prepared said child for the possibility. All kids will deal with the arrival of younger siblings in their own way, but parents contributed a lot to the situation. If someone spoil a kid to the point the kid is proverbial center of the universe and all family attention is only focused on them but then suddenly don’t have anymore a time for said kid because everything now resolved about the new baby, then it is hard to blame the older sibling for feeling resentful against the new member of the family that “stole” all the love. And as much as I can see your point, I feel like acting out of jealousy wouldn’t be true to Bi-Han, at least not in the original timeline. Like, the resentment could be there, sure, but considering how
the boy was chosen to be a Lin Kuei at birth and
his father, then-current Sub-Zero, came from a family already serving Lin Kuei for a few generations,
I suspect Bi-Han’s training was already part of his upbringing since he was born. Maybe not fully the physical aspect, but the iron discipline and obedience (the last one may not always work though). Thus I think that even when baby Kuai Liang came into picture, and later their youngest sister, the father’s attention was aimed mainly at the first-born and preparing him for Lin Kuei life, so he could bring honor to their family and serve the clan well. Bi-Han could be jealous of baby Kuai Liang, could be sad for being forced to share mother’s love with someone else - and that one depends a lot what kind of mother she was on daily basis, so for all we know, Bi-Han actually could enjoy being the big, helpful brother and making her proud in the process - but I don’t think he had a reason to feel threatened by new kid’s presence if the father paid him special attention and spent time to train him for future life. And well, I don’t think kid Bi-Han was allowed to have tantrum attacks over “trivial” matters if he was meant to continue the true family tradition soon. Like, I can't imagine Bi-Han being raised as a spoiled child when father - and maybe mother, depending if she was a Lin Kuei herself or not - already knew his son was meant to start a proper training for assassin life.

sora's ask just reminded me but I figured I'd finally point out the obvious and say reno is not his real name. he grew up in an orphanage before he joined / got scouted for shinra / the turks, and thus never knew his parents and subsequently never got a name from them. not knowing what to call him, they simple called him reno and it stuck from there

UCN STARTERS || ALWAYS ACCEPTING! || @slaughterlocked
slaughterlocked: "You'll have to forgive my enthusiasm. But it'll all be over soon." [william to cassidy !]
❝ N-No... ❞
[Cassidy's breath hitched in her throat; she'd made a terrible mistake. She'd followed the golden bunny to the back under the assumption that he'd help her -- he'd assured her as much. He promised her safety and guidance, and she had blindly assumed that he had the best of intentions. After all, it was Bonnie! Why shouldn't she trust him?]
[Alas, each of his promises were proven false. The rabbit led her to some sort of employees-only back room; the energy emanating from it felt malevolent, twisted, as did the bunny's intentions. His voice was as jolly as ever, but he loomed over her in a manner that suddenly terrified her. She had never been scared of Bonnie...but this presence no longer felt like Bonnie. This was something different.]
["It'll all be over soon." Cassidy could assume what that implied, and she was suddenly overcome by her horror. She feared for her life now more than ever. Her breathing grew frantic; she scrambled for the exit, stumbling over herself in the process. She fell to the ground in a heap, a trembling mess of helplessness and cowardice. She couldn't move anymore. She was glued, tethered to the spot. Tears welled in her eyes; she shut them, trying to blink them away. They fell anyway.]
Tumblr media
❝ Please -- please don't hurt me. ❞ [Cassidy spoke in a desperate whimper. A shuddering sob followed her plea, and several more tears fell.] ❝ I don't want to die. ❞

Ubuyashiki Family (Magical Slayers ✨)
It’s mostly Kagaya but I mention Amane too.
Ok long story short Kagaya is mansplain manipulate manslaughter. I made him similar to Kyubey from Magica Madoka. In the sense he has good intentions, but very underhanded ways of getting people to join the Corps.
He is Entirely fed up with the (lack of) progress of the Corps. He wouldn’t call all the efforts pointless, however losing several dozen (or hundred?) Hashira and hardly killing any Upper Moons (and no signs of Muzan since Yoriichi’s era) is very much a Net Loss.
He’s tired and ready to end this war by any means necessary, even if it means forcing people into becoming slayers. (The fact this man has foresight just makes his goal a little easier and a little scarier.)
I can make an excellent example of the lengths he’s willing to go with the Tokito twins.
Kagaya did not take kindly when Amane reported that Yuichiro shut down the offer every time. He is not above lighting a fire under them to get them moving, and by fire I mean a demon sent to their house as an “incentive” to join. By showing them what they’re at risk of if they don’t join first.
We all know how it happens in canon: Yuichiro repeatedly denies Amane, weeks later the demon attacks, suddenly Amane returns days(?) later and Muichiro decides “why not” to join the Corps.
This lines up perfectly for my au :D
After the repeated rejections, Kagaya pulls some strings to stage a demon attack. It’s not really staged/fake since the demon does try to take out the twins, but it was planned by Kagaya. As an extra part of the plan, there was supposed to be another slayer to deal with that demon to ensure the twins survived. They’d be scarred, but alive and (hopefully) open to becoming Slayers.
Things didn't go as planned and the assigned Slayer doesn’t make it on time, leaving Muichiro to take things in his own hands after Yuichiro gets attacked. Yuichiro only loses a chunk of his arm, it’s still a lot but not half his arm like canon. He’s able to wrap the wound (and pass out) while Muichiro deals with the demon all night.
Kagaya and Amane actually visit them around noon the next day and happen upon them barely alive. Yuichiro is worse off than his brother and praying for Muichiro to live. Kagaya tells the boys they don’t need the aid of the gods who struck them, he himself will help, and in return they’ll do something (become slayers) for him.
(Kagaya was relieved when this worked. He may be cruel enough to do it but he doesn’t want to kill them. They wouldn’t be useful to him if that happened)
This also means Yuichiro lives.
The bright side is he doesn’t do this with every slayer I guess? He does have an interesting habit of showing up soon after demon attacks to offer the survivor a new life within the Corps. In their freshly traumatized minds all they see is a hand reaching out to help, and not knowing any better they accept.
This is a good time to mention, he is still cursed so he eventually has Amane visit the possible-slayers in his stead, bring them to the estate should they agree to join and uhhh..
Rip their soul out of their body, infuse it into a special brooch, give it back to them & point them in the direction of a cultivator.
anyway don’t worry about that part. Kagaya certainly doesn’t, and he tells the newly-made Magical Slayer not to worry either.
Who cares if you’re basically a zombie now? If your body is injured it’s fine, it’ll just take extra time and magic to regenerate. (Like,,some hours with lots of focus. Maybe just an hour or so for Hashira. Their healing abilities may be good, but they’re not ‘instant regeneration’ good like the 12 kizuki)
He actually doesn’t even tell them they’ve become a zombie. Normally the head of the Corps is supposed to lay down everything that becoming a slayer means, and then the person can make the choice to join or not. Obviously learning you’ll become a zombie is a bit of a turn-off, so Kagaya has just stopped telling his slayers the awful details.
Why do that when it’ll scare them off? It’s more beneficial for him to not say anything and keep them in the dark.
Also I’d like to mention, In canon Kagaya gives respect and gets it in return.
Here though? The Hashiras respect for him is built from fear. Everyone else is able to see, “ohh there’s something wrong with this guy. Better not piss him off.” And try their damn best not to.
Except Sanemi at his first Pillar meeting. 🪦
#kny#demon slayer#Magical Slayers ✨#kagaya ubuyashiki#the brooch is Sailor moon inspired#the zombie thing is Madoka#so is the soul yoink#I hope I didn’t lose anyone with that explanation ufhfidn if things don’t make sense feel free to ask I’ll try to answer#my bones are JELLO right now. wibbly wobbly wiggly metal sheet sfx#Amane and the kids are dragged into it#He’s ruthless in his job not to his family#still doesn’t make him a good guy#Amane has mixed feelings about her husband#they are Not the happy couple you see in canon#even if Kagaya treats his family better than the manipulation & fear he gives his Slayers..doesn’t change the fact he’s not all that great#or that he has the capacity to treat his family worse :(#Amane walks on eggshells around him#I’m sorry to do this to the girl boss#if it makes you feel better she survives when Kagaya goes Boom#because she decided Not to stay with him in the end#also I think in canon their eldest daughters die in the estate too? yea they’re living here. Kagaya takes no one else down with him#this has been marinating in my brainium for a while#I hope I didn’t hype Kagaya up too much? bc I didn’t want what I had planned for him to not meet expectations lmao#he wasn’t meeting my own expectations bc I kept making them greater & greater b4 going w/ my original idea#I feel like I’m giving a presentation#except everyone’s asleep because it’s 3am#also ik Mui was pretty open to becoming a swordsman even before the demon attack but sshhhhvjxnd let me have this#kny au

it would be way more interesting from a narrative and character standpoint if it really was gregory who dropped the elevator, and honestly? if the plot they’re setting up is “cassie seeks revenge against gregory for leaving her to die but it wasn’t really him and she somehow didn’t realize this even though she literally just got tricked by a robot mimicking gregory’s voice” then. um. ngl that’s a really stupid plot.
you know what would be interesting? other way around. cassie convinces herself it was the mimic who dropped the elevator, because gregory’s her best friend and he’d never do that to her, right? except he did because he’s a child in an incredibly stressful situation, with the creature that stole his autonomy and made him commit murder at risk of escaping. so he let cassie die to save the lives of others. so that nobody else will get their free will stolen like him and vanessa, and so that nobody else will get killed by the thing they fought so hard to contain. and it hurts, because cassie’s his best friend too, but ultimately it’s a bit like the trolley problem, you know? kill one person to save several others.
and if she isn’t dead (or even if she is, because this entire franchise is built around ghost children), then he’s going to have to answer for that.

So, let me tell you guys about my dream from last night since I did sleep with Oswald and Edward, although neither of them used their villain names in the dream for whatever reason. Just for reference and a better image, Ed looked closer to Gotham's version of him while Oswald looked almost identical to the Batman 2022 version. Little warning, though, for mentions of violence and death. This dream was essentially a horror movie, not a gory one, though, oddly enough.
My dream started with a biology class where the teacher was teaching the students about aliens. She explained that there were several different species of aliens with different biologies and appearances, but all had two things in common: they didn't come from our world, and all of them were highly dangerous to humans. From what I gathered, they aren't super common to come across, but if you did come across one, you should know how to defend themselves.
In that moment, a boy starts bullying another boy, saying that he is actually an alien that his dad found because no one would ever actually want to have an actual kid with him. The other kids in the classroom start to laugh as the bullied boy nearly begins to cry. The teacher tries to defend him, but before anything can really be done, the bell rings, and the class is dismissed. The bully shoves the boy away as he leaves, and the boy grabs his thing before going home.
Upon arriving home, he says hi to his two younger sisters, one of which is just a baby, and the other seems to be about 8 years old (the boy seems to be 13-14) and hi to the staff before making his way outside where apparently his father is.
In the backyard is Oswald, who is smoking a cigar, Edward, who seems to be writing something down on a clipboard and two other men. I am pretty sure that, in my dream, Oswald had a position of power, particularly as a politician. I think that he might have been governor, and Edward worked as his assistant. As soon as the boy approaches him, he throws the cigar away and notices the kid is not doing great, so he takes him to the side and asks him what is wrong. The boy explains that the other kids in his class are bullying him again and saying that he is an alien. Oswald assures him that this is preposterous, in fact, Oswald helped kill aliens back in the 90s when attacks were at an all-time high. He asks if his son wants him to do something about it and the boy hesitates before nodding.
Meanwhile, behind their backs, Edward is still watching the two other men, one of whom has a gun and the other doesn't. The one who does have a gun points it at the one who doesn't and attempts to shoot him, but the man dodged out of the way before biting his own hand, which led to him becoming giant, like, bigger than the mansion they were next to. The opponent's eyes widened, and he dropped his gun before getting to his knees to beg for forgiveness. The giant isn't taking any of it, though, and proceeds to just stomp on him. By the time Oswald is done talking to his kid and they turn around, the giant is back to normal, and there are no signs left of his adversary. He turns to Edward, who, after a moment of consideration, tells him that his job was satisfactory and that he is hired. The killer seems pretty happy at that.
The next 'scene' has Oswald taking the kids in the school for a trip to Gotham City. Instead of going there, however, they make their way to a house that is revealed to be no other than Edward's house. When questioned about it, Oswald explains that, since the class is so interested in aliens, he is taking them to see the real deal, but in order to do that, they need to go back in time to the 90s and for that, they need a time machine. One of the kids asks why Edward has a time machine and Ed, very insulted at that, says something akin to: "Of course I have a time machine! I am the smartest man in the state! Do you think inventing something like that would be a problem for me at all?!" Which I do kind of find to be hilarious. This entire dream felt like a dark comedy, but Edward doing something as amazing as inventing a time machine only to then proclaim himself the smartest man in, not the world, not even the country, but the state is so funny to me.
But anyway, they go inside the time machine, except for Edward, who is still communicating with Oswald but has to operate the machine to get them back safely. Oswald and the kids suddenly find themselves in front of a lighthouse, and the governor explains this was one of the places with the most alien activity he has ever been to. He makes his way inside, and they are immediately met with a lady sitting on a stool with her eyes and lips closed. Oswald tells the children to follow him because as long as they do what he says, they will be fine and, above all else, to try not to run away. He takes his son's hand and makes his way past the woman by sneaking against a wall and towards the stairs.
The original bully scoffs and mocks the governor, saying that she isn't an alien, just a sleeping woman, and then approaches her, trying to get her attention. Once he steps close enough, the woman opens her bloodshot eyes wide, and her mouth, which is revealed to form a perfect circle with needle teeth inside, similar to the mouth of a leech in a way. Oswald covers his son's eyes, and the rest of the children scream as the leech woman just devours the bully, leaving nothing behind. The children immediately start obeying Oswald, pressing against the wall and sneaking away from the monster.
There is a quick montage of sorts of the things they face, and the whole thing felt very Willy Wonka-esk to me since in each room, one of the kids would end up 'lost' as they were either too greedy or too gluttonous or too cowardly. Quite a few of them try to run away despite Oswald's warning, and the aliens seem to be particularly unkind to those. Something I would like to mention is how apathetic Oswald seems to be. He is protecting his son with his life the entire time and making sure he is ok, but all he does as the kids are taken away by these aliens is sigh like 'welp, I told you.'
They finally reach the last room, and the last alien comes in the form of doors. Three doors to be specific. Oswald explains that this was the most dangerous of the aliens in the lighthouse and that, in truth, even if they obeyed him, he wasn't sure they would be ok, even if they did obey him. They would need to walk in individually, at least one person per minute, until there was no one else in the room. Once inside, the carnival, as he called it, would try to trick you by showing you three nearly identical images. If you picked the right one, you would be allowed to proceed. If you got the wrong one or took too long, it was game over. The good news was that if at least one person reached the end of the corridor, the rest of the people in it would be allowed to go, so what they had to do was survive until the governor reached the end. Oswald tells his son to go last and then enters.
Inside, the place was morbidly colorful, like a carnival straight out of a horror movie. As Oswald and the kids go in, they start guessing as screams of previous, and the now new victims echo to try and get the players distracted. Oswald guesses right, then another kid guesses right and proceeds while a boy guesses wrong, and a hole appears beneath him, causing him to fall to an unknown end. The puzzle continues with the children continuing to go in, one by one, until it is finally the son's turn as the last one. He goes inside. The images shown to the players are things from their past, it can be something frivolous like characters from a tv show or an important moment in their past, even a traumatic one. The son's three images are that of Oswald and a woman holding a baby. The boy recognizes the woman as his mother, who I'm pretty sure has died.
He looks at the three pictures, one of them shows a baby that looked a lot like him, one shows another baby, one that didn't really look like the boy and the last showed an alien baby. The boy can't help but feel drawn to the alien baby, but before he can make his choice, everything goes back to normal. His father reached the light, and with it, the exit. They get out of the lighthouse, the children are clearly traumatized after that and ask to go home. Oswald tells them he has one last stop, and while they seem apprehensive, they know better than to defy the governor by this point. He tells Edward a different date, which leads them to a hospital where they watch, albeit hidden, as a nurse brings a baby to a much younger Oswald, informing him that the baby is a boy and then him celebrating with his wife. The man turns to the children and asks if any of them will ever call an alien again. They all shake their heads rapidly, but one of the girls asks why they couldn't have just come to this point right away instead of experiencing all the horrors they saw in the lighthouse. Oswald smirks and says something akin to "what's the fun in that? Plus, you guys spoke about aliens so much I thought you wanted to see one in person." As he takes them back to their gime period, the girl continues to complain, that she is going to tell her parents and that everyone will know how so many kids died because of him. Oswald's answer to tabt is just, "silly girl. Time machines aren't real, everyone knows this, but even if they were, the funny thing about time is that if someone were to die outside of their time period, the universe would just correct itself so that that person simply never existed at all, so I suggest that, unless you want to be sent to Arkham, you don't go around speaking nonsense." The girl and the other kids go pale and silent before just going back inside the bus.
His son, however, hugs his dead and thanks him for the help before following his classmates. Edward approaches Oswald once the bus is gone and asks if his son is actually an alien. The politician is appalled by the answer, but Ed argues that he saw everything Oswald did, and the baby that he held in his arms in the nursery was not the same that he calls his son. The differences were small and imperceptible for most, but for the smartest man in the state they were child's play.
The politician sighs and finally admits that, yes, his son is an alien. A shapeshifter to be more exact. His real son passed away when he was only six months due to an illness, and Oswald came across the boy not long after. Him and his now dead wife agreed to raise him themselves. He also adds that aliens are actually a lot more common than one might think. They live everywhere and are normally quite peaceful to the point where people don't know about their existence, however, there are some places that change all extraterrestrial beings that come in contact with it, they make them mad, violent and aggressive and no one really knows why. Gotham is one of these places, which is why alien attacks are so frequent in there. They just lose themselves. Ironically, even the people in Gotham appear to be somewhat affected by this, which is why the crime rates in the city are so high, but people in the city are completely apathetic to that.
Edward then asks why the boy isn't like that, then since he was found in Gotham. Oswald tells Ed that he isn't sure, but he is trying to find out. The governor lights up another cigar, and they make their way inside the house.
And that is how my dream ends :)
The reason why I say lost to most of the deaths here is because, truth be told, the only two people that are actually shown dying are the gangster in the beginning and the main bully. Everyone else is either end unclear or the equivalent of jumping away last second to show someone else's reaction to what is happening while they scream. It was not a very shippy dream, but I thought it was an interesting concept that I wanted to share. Maybe I will actually use this concept to write something in the future.

kaeya was a little traumatised kid who probably came from a community that dealt w their collective trauma in a predictably grim way as well which is why i think when he was taken in by crepus he absolutely had the energy of strange quirky little girl for who it’ll become painfully obvious later was nd/traumatised and didn’t understand social conventions and what is developmentally normal/appropriate for them to know but for the moment is Definitely brushed off as “haha don’t worry abt him, he’s just a little quiet and odd for now bc hes in a new n strange environment!”
#x#gi posting#i think it’s time to accept i project more of my personal experiences onto kaeya than i wanted to originally admit#BUT LIKE I THINK IT MAKES SENSE#especially w all the instances where as an adult where he’s been accused of reacting in a way that comes off as cold or rude or inappropriat#(eg when he’s in battle or when crepus died and he was said to have smiled/laughed)#it makes SENSE that his sense of this stuff would be a little skewed/off. that maybe he’s a little more ruthless than the pampered kids his#age he meets in mondstadt or that he has a gallows humour style of coping w uncomfortable topics#also i’ve been vaguely learning a lot abt developmentally appropriate behaviour for kids#recently and one of them was abt them testing out the waters of what they’re allowed to do vs not#and that’s why u see them sometimes do things you know are wrong/that might Seem malicious or bad but it’s just them like. becoming aware of#the world they’re interacting with and learning stuff like what natural consequences are and also especially how their guardians will react#and like obviously this is all for significantly younger kids/toddlers and i don’t think kaeya was taken in that young by crepus#but i’m applying the same principal in that he’s in a new environment and probably was involved several ‘accidents’ or random things over th#years where it was just him poking and pushing and tearing boundaries of what he would be allowed#and sometimes if he was caught n it was something possibly mean/cruel it was never so much for the sake of that. just that he#wanted to Test and see what happened#GAUGH am i making sense i’m always so jumbled when i write things out when in my head i’m like YES. genius#😭😭😭

Something I find hilarious about this arc is Yoojin starting it off going 'oh...I don't really...like killing people. I'm not that sort of guy.' and then spending the whole arc violently murdering many people with nary a second thought.

i really want to see nynaeve in the show making herself mad in increasingly ridiculous ways to get past the block
like, i want there to be a battle happening and in the background you can faintly see nynaeve not helping, but like stomping her foot repeatedly to try and make herself mad
