RO reactions to seeing someone flirting with the MC during the crushing stage?

And if you don't mind me making this a double decker ask, say the MC is not into it and when they see the RO their eyes lit up and they grab their hand being like, "Ah my dear Significant Other! You're finally here!" to get the suitor to back off and to tease the ROs🤫

Aiden: tbh this has happened before, for both of you. When you go out together and someone flirts with either of you that you or him don’t like, that one will pull tho “oh sorry this is my boyfriend/significant other” card lol,, but .. this time is different he notices. Now seeing someone flirt with you makes his heart hurt a little. Before he even got the chance to decide whether to interrupt or not — you turn to him and grab his hand while saying the words he’s heard in this situation before, “sorry, my boyfriend Aiden is here so I have to go now!” He instantly softens at that, pulling you closer without thinking. You notice that he’s actually blushing, which doesn’t usually happen in this situation, something you need to think about 👀

Atlas: would notice and would feel conflicted, he’d want to interrupt because oh boy you make him feel some type of way he’s never felt before and he doesn’t want to lose that, but at the same time he thinks you deserve someone better than him. His thoughts go back and forth so much, causing him to frown while staring over at you, someone looking at him would think he was angry at you. — It’s when you finally notice him and your whole face lights up that his expression also changes to one - of confusion lol. “Atlas! My boyfriend! There you are!” As soon as the words leave your mouth and you gently grab his hand he freezes “your… boyfriend?” You give a side eye to the person who previously had you attention and it clicks what you’re doing. With an attempted commanding tone that comes across more awkward than anything he addresses them, “yes, boyfriend. I am their boyfriend and I don’t appreciate you flirting with my significant other. Please flirt with someone else.” He notices out of the corner of his eye that you’re giggling and if he wasn’t red before he definitely is now lol

Jude: unless the person is VERY OBVIOUSLY flirting he may not even notice lol but if he does he’ll definitely have a big sad face like 🥺 thinking does mc like them?? But won’t interrupt because if you do then he just wants you to be happy. — it’s when you look over at him, face lighting up, grabbing his hand and say “Jude! My boyfriend! Who I love! And am in a relationship with! There you are!” That his face goes from sad puppy to happy puppy, as he immediately catches on to what you’re doing and will 100% play it up (while also blushing like crazy because omg mc just called me their boyfriend!!!). He’d respond with a “ah, mc! My significant other! Who I also love and am in a relationship with!” He wraps an arm around your shoulder and kisses the top of your head while starting to ask questions about your day, turning away from the other person hoping to give them the idea that they are not wanted here lol

Nox: would definitely interrupt lol probably will even wait til the other person is in the middle of a good line and will just be like “excuse me nice try but surely you can come up with something better than that” , depending on if it looked like you were okay or not having it they’d either offer up a line themself or just stand protectively close to you — when they glance at your face and see you suddenly smiling and adding “Nox! I’ve been looking for you, my significant other who I love so much!” Their grin grows wider as they pull you even closer, they might even nuzzle into your neck a lil 😏 “well here I am.” You can’t see it, but they get a tiny bit red after you saying something unexpected like that. It’s convincing enough for other person to give up in defeat lol

Scarlett: doesn’t really care, she’s not really the jealous type,, is slightly jealous if it would be while in a relationship but while just crushing she wouldn’t think too much about it. Would definitely be thinking something like “I wish that was me flirting with mc” tho lol. — when your eyes suddenly meet and she notices how your face lights up and you gently grab her hand she’s immediately like 😳. And when you say the words “There’s Scarlett my beautiful girlfriend who I love so much!” Her mind eases a little as she gives you a sweet smile, knowing what you plan is. She quickly responds before the other person gets a chance to- “and here’s my amazing significant other who I love even more! I’m glad you found me there’s something I want to show you outside.” Guiding you away from the person who was bothering you. You notice how warm her hand feels against yours and you wonder if her heart is beating as fast as yours.

Thalia: trying to convince herself that it’s fine. This is fine. She doesn’t care. Why would she care? You’re not together. She has no right to care…. She decides to leave the room. — As she heads towards the door however she glances at you one last time and that’s when your eyes meet and your entire face lights up. Your beautiful/handsome face. She just knows that her face at the moment is growing redder and redder. When you get next to her and softly grab her hand while loudly saying, “Thalia! My girlfriend! Who I love so much! There you are!” She’s just like “WHAT???” (With her face even redder than 5 seconds ago lol) When you reiterate “My girlfriend, who I love so much 👀” while side eyeing the person you just slipped away from. She finally catches on and responds similar to Atlas, “oh.. yes.. girlfriend.” She squeezes your hand a little tighter and continues, “I was getting ready to leave, would you like to come with me … [boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other]?” Your smile softens at her attempt at sounding romantic, and you realize how much she must be trying to sound truthful. As she sees your face soften she remembers how red her face must be and immediately turns and accidentally almost drags you out the door behind her with how strong she is. You let out a quiet laugh and she just knows you’ll never let her live this down.
