The not surprising first: I have planned and gotten tickets for the gigs I want to go for the rest of the year. (I'm also getting to see Erika Vikman first time live!!)

Somewhat related: I'm happy that I have the possibility to travel a bit and go to gigs more freely, because life is more predictable in other areas. I was always too broke and haunted by deadlines when I was in uni.

Good coffee. I'm always happy when I get to sit down with a good cup of coffee.

I'm meeting up with an old group of friends next weekend. We're scattered throughout the country, but have agreed to meet up at least annually together.

I think I have three.

1. I think my face place is the backyard if my childhood's home, especially when the hammock has been put out and Ican lay in that underneath an apple three.

2. Vantaa (duh)

3. Suomenlinna in Helsinki, I find it very inspiring and exciting place to explore with all the history present in it.

4. Favorite dish specific in your country

Mustamakkara (black sausage) - It's a blood sausage traditionally eaten with lingonberry jam and it's soooooo gooood.

7. Three words in your native language you like the most?

There's so many beautiful words, so I'm ginna just go with the ones that come to mind first:

Saatana, Sisu, tuska

13. Does your country have a u specific superstitions or traditions which might seem strange to outsiders?

I'm not a folklorist, or know too much about finnish folklore to answer this well. Weird tradition that comes to mind are our midsummer spells where you can for example pick flowers and see your futue love in your dreams.

My favorite local one is kaljakellunta, beer floating, where the idea is to float in all kinds of rubber crafts donstream the Vantaa river or Kerava river with lots of beer. Never participated because I don't drink though.

Another weird tradition is watching people shake hands with the president couple on independence day.

Tar candy..?

YES!

Wood tar is one of those flavors that caters to Finns and Finns only. It's not the most popular flavor (salmiakki has it beat EASILY, we stuff salmiakki everywhere it's ridiculous), but tar is loved enough that it shouldn't be too hard to find a box of tar licorice at most stores.

Another point about tar; while it's semi-popular in food, tar shampoo and tar sauna-scents are also pretty popular!

i had this in elisa’s connection page a looong time ago so imma share it because it’s relevant: gallagher academy alumni | voted ‘most likely to never be found’. lisanna harlin (caspar) is everywhere and nowhere at any time. when you (ever) meet her, you’d know that she had the kindest face out of anyone in the immediate vicinity. but in true sharp contrast with her ex-husband, her pretty face spells vicious trouble and she’s known for enduring the tightest of suits and unorthodox of methods to not contaminate a kill scene. lisanna met ellison after graduating gallagher and while she enjoyed the time off and having a family, she knew that going back to work would mean leaving them behind. elisa’s last time seeing her was when she was ten years old. a year later, elisa’s troublemaking would make itself more known to her father. lisanna had promised that this past summer could be their first time meeting again, but work got in the way and elisa never got to meet her mother last summer, leading her to go back to d.c. to spend time with her dad. 

family background: the harlins were a spy family. nothing more, nothing less. it wasn’t until a generation or two before lisanna’s birth that their positions in the field became more and more bloody. they were good at it; the family was good in handling it. so it became one of their specialties.growing up, she remembers it as relatively normal. she went to school, had friends, socialized as any other growing american girl. the only difference was that any free time leftover went to her training. the harlins covered the basics - how to blend in, several languages, first aid for yourself, physical and weapons training. gallagher just helped strengthen them.

personality: growing up, attending gallagher, and even now when she’s older, lisanna was just one of the girls - she’s kind, a little sassy, responsible .. a bit of a girl next door - approachable, unassuming, nonthreatening ( src: tvtropes dot com ). sometimes, she’s a bit more chipper than she has to be. just a little bit excited to be back in her alma mater. 

professionally, she’s very focused, determined and hardly lets anything distract her. she also is the type to follow instructions to a T so if the mission says to kill, she will kill. she knows when to work and when to play and takes a bit of a pride in that. it could be a bit jarring to anyone who has seen her work first before knowing her personally.

she loves work, absolutely. she loves her work and is maybe just a tad inappropriately excited to teach a whole new generation on how to kick names and take ass!

is .. ‘okay’ at comforting people and any other type of emotional connection. could use some work.

Hey random dumb question do u know any finnish dishes that are a must try.

oof this is a bit of a difficult question. when it comes too Finnish food i have a list of two kinds of recommendations.

the actually normal ones such as pyttipannu , archipelago bread, rye bread, Lörtsy ( i like the ones with apple filling) and mustamakkara. ( also wild game is a given, yeas even raindeer and bear.) 

and then theres the foods that you make your friends try just too see they're reactions, here we have the Easter classic Mämmi, the ever present Salmiaki, tree sap soda (yeas i have tried it), blood pancakes, kalla kukko and pea soup.

these are some foods that came too mind, but do bear with me i might have mixed up some of they're country of origin, and im not including any stews or the like since i dont think they're that unique or different from what you might find elsewhere. 

sure there is the “im up at 2 in the morning and im hungry” staple that is meat pie with sausage though idk if that one counts or not.
