Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
You know what pisses me off? Extremists on both sides of the Israel/Palestine conflict seem to think that no one can see through them.
What do I mean?
It's really fucking obvious when MAGA shitbags try to use Jews in general and Israelis in particular as human shields to protect them from the consequences of their Islamaphobia.
Sure, guys, you REALLY support us when you stand behind crowds chanting "Jews will not replace us!". Or MTG nattering on about how Jews have giant space lasers and are causing all the wildfires on the west coast. Or you froth at the mouth about "George Soros", "elites", "lizard people" (lizard people are Jews guys) or that we got magical powers from Satan because we "killed Christ".
Then you turn around and pretend that you care about our safety or our lives? You pretend that you'll save us from the Big Bad Boogey Man (read: Muslims) that you support us living full and vibrant lives? Cut the shit, I may have been born in the morning, but it wasn't yesterday morning.
It's all so you can kick Muslims. It's all so you can get your violent psychosexual thrills by fucking with Muslims. You still hate Jews just as much as you did before. You aren't as subtle as you think you are.
On the other hand, it's also REALLY obvious when far left shitbags use Muslims in general and Palestinians, in particular, as human shields to protect them from the consequences of their Jew Hatred.
Sure guys, you REALLY support Palestinians when you have rallies around the world screaming about "GAS THE JEWS!", "Hitler was right!" and talk about how Jewish women aren't really women, instead they're "filthy vermin" who can't be raped. They quote directly from Mein Kampf and Protocols of the Elders of Zion and somehow think that does anything for Palestinians.
Yep, it sure does help Palestinians to terrify and attack and even kill Jews so that we think the only place that we will ever be safe is in Israel. It sure does help Palestinians to project your hatreds onto a conflict that has nothing to do with you. Cut the shit. I may have been born in the morning, but it wasn't yesterday morning.
It's all so you can kick Jews. It's all so you can get your psychosexual thrills by fucking with Jews. You don't really or honestly give 1/10th of 1 shit about Palestinians. And you aren't as subtle as you think you are.
I see you both, and you're both exactly the same. You're both garbage human beings. I will not deny your humanity. You're still human... you're just also giant bags of shitty garbage.
Just saw some Free Palestine supporters on the road to my parents’ house and was about to wave at them but then I saw a couple of them holding signs making disgusting antisemitic jokes about Passover. Guys seriously how fucking difficult is it to just. Not do that 😭 You’re really not giving Palestine extra help by making horrible comments and jokes about Jews ffs can you not just promote support for Palestine without bringing hatred for entire minority demographics into it DURING THE TIME OF A RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY. It is remarkably easy to criticise Israel without antisemitism and if you can’t do that then maybe you should stay out of the movement because you’re causing much more harm than good
it's wild to me the last few days of posting support for Palestinians and calling out Israel for being a brutal apartheid state across my social media, how many of my "friends" have sent me (an Arab) messages about "considering both sides," like uhhh yeah nah there's no "both sides" when one side is calling for and attempting the genocide of people who share my identity and community actually!!! fuck you!!
You can't go to the bathroom or use the aisle for any purpose, because an entitled religion-of-peace advocate has to block the aisle so he can do what he wants.
This is against FAA regulations and a safety hazard.
Tolerance seems to be demanded and only goes one way.
it's embarrassing how long this took to sink in for me but i've finally realized the reason the vast majority of people people are so evil and insane about israel vs palestine is because they fundamentally see neither side as human
“headcanoning farah as wlw is disrespectful because she’s muslim”
my. my guy. queer people exist in every group. queer muslims very much exist.
“ok but it’s a sin in islam”
WHY ARE WE SUDDENLY JUSTIFYING HOMOPHOBIA WITH RELIGION⁉️⁉️ it’s wrong for a christian to use religion to justify their bigotry, so WHY is it okay to use islam or any other religion to do the same?? i know that i’m comparing the world’s most oppressive religion (christianity) to a religion that’s oppressed, but like… allowing one group to essentially “get a pass” opens the door for EVERY group to get one.
what was even weirder is that the person who made the post about it wasn’t even muslim 😭 they said they looked it up which i believe, but then they had an actual wlw muslim in their comments telling them it wasn’t a big deal— and THEY LITERALLY TOLD THE COMMENTER THAT IT WAS STILL DISRESPECTFUL?? AND OTHER NON-MUSLIMS WERE GOING “grr but it’s a sin >:(” LIKE?? HELLO?? WHY are people not even included in the group talking over ACTUAL MEMBERS OF THE GROUP???
i care very deeply about respecting people’s beliefs and faiths. but once that belief starts to harm others, my respect is withdrawn. the golden rule is that your rights end where another person’s begin. i remember seeing posts from years ago about queer muslims. they’ve always reminded me of queer christians – the vast majority of their faiths hate them, but they do still exist. and it’s possible to be progressive while also being devoted to your faith. i’ve met so many religious folks that are allies and supportive of queer people, so seeing posts like this crop up and gain popularity is just… disheartening. it feels like we’re going backwards after finally making some progress.
I honestly think that if 9/11 was treated as a day to remember the lost and not this thing that you should be extremely patriotic and mad that this happened my generation and future generations would take it more seriously
Yeah, if the people currently advocating genocide weren't doing so on a religious-and-ethnic-cleansing basis, I wouldn't be saying organized religion is a scourge, now would I.
Gaza is said to be a closed-air prison. It's not in the least.
Gaza is the most dense place on the planet? No, it's not even in the top 150. With 2.2 million people on 365 sq km's, this comes to 6,000 people per sq km, about 16x less dense that Malé Maldives (107,000 people per sq km), 3.4x less dense than Paris, France, and 3.1x less dense than Union City (19,000 people per sq ft).
As far as the amount of destruction?
Not much compared to typical urban warfare in the last 8 decades: For example, the ancient city of Aleppo, Syria, once the Vienna of the Middle East, has been reduced to rubble thanks to infighting between ISIS, Al Quds, and the Iranians (IRGC). Hamburg and Dresden were reduced to rubble by the allies in 1942-45.
The population is being starved by Israel? Well, not that it's Israel's job to feed its enemies during wartime, reality is, over 250,000 tonnes of food (450,000 tons including other items like water and medical supplies) has been facilitated by Israel (while Egypt has sealed its border with Gaza) and delivered since the war began. That's the equivalent of 55 weeks of food for every man, woman, and child of Gaza.
the fact that some people’s reaction to shireen abu aqleh, a palestinian journalist who has dedicated the last 20 years of her life to her country and to her people, being murdered was to say that they “can’t ask Allah to have mercy on her soul” and that “she’s going to hell” and straight up denying her the martyr status just because she was a palestinian christian and not muslim is genuinely so violent. this woman died, got violently murdered for reporting on her country, and people still want to deny her martyrdom just because she belongs to a religious minority that is actively being ethnically cleansed in the arab world. her religion was mostly unknown to the public for most of her career too, until priests were captured praying on her coffin yesterday. and none of those people are palestinian—they’re mostly arab muslims who fail to see that the palestinian cause is not a muslim one, it is the cause of every single palestinian no matter their (ethno)religious group. narrowing down the palestinian cause to a muslim one excludes so many (ethno)religious minority groups in palestine and enables these kind of statements to rise. it’s genuinely heartbreaking and enraging to see a legendary woman who lived most of her life serving her country and her people and their cause and was killed serving her country and her people and their cause be the recipient of this kind of response just because she’s christian. this attempt to divide palestinians, whom have always been united for and with each other against the occupier regardless of anything else is so violent and frankly insulting considering palestinians have never let religious differences turn them against each other. it’s just sad.
