Rei groaned. It was typical of Usagi to oversleep even after they made plans for the day. "Come on Usagi! Get up now! Do you want to go shopping or not?!"

"Shopping!" Usagi said in sudden realization, and falls out of her bed with an audible 'Oof'. Then recovers quickly with a couple of sweat drops over her head.

"I can't believe I spaced on that even when I'm the one who planned it!" With that she quickly grabs some clothes and speeds into the bathroom to quickly get dressed, and comes back to where was Rei waiting.

"Okay, I'm ready!" She said with a giggle, and grabbed her purse before heading to her front door.

Usagi's smile was a little sad, but her bright blue eyes were soft and warm and kind. She was a young girl, only sixteen years and she had bore the weight of saving her world over and over again. Three times now she had pushed back the evil that had threatened to encroach on her world. And for every time it tried to push her down, to break her, to make her unkind, she had refused to let it.

If there was power in love and empathy, surely Usagi had mastered it.

"I don't think people are meant to be alone," she said, "It's why we can't pull away from each other. Even when things get hard, even when we want to. It's important at those moments especially to lean harder on the people around us," she tipped her head to the side, those blonde pig tails falling over her shoulders. "Do you have anyone you can rely on?"

Future X Present Day Sailor Moon ) The threat that had besieged Neo Tokyo was finally averted , her city had been restored , her people freed , and most importantly their daughter was safe . Serenity certainly couldn't find reason to be upset with her daughter , she'd made mistakes and learned from them just as she'd done in the past . Speaking of which ... as their younger counterparts entered the room, Serenity nodded towards her own iteration of Rei. " Thank you for coming , I speak for all of us when I say that we owe you a great debt . Had it not been for all of you ? Our future would remain in ruin . As such we were hoping to both reward you ... and spend some time with you both " Now speaking with a knowing smile she continued " I still remember how often Rei and I would have fun when we we're alone together . Those days will always hold a spot in my heart and I was hoping you'd be interested in helping us relive them . Of course , we certainly understand if you wouldn't be interested in spending the night with us "

The 'Present Day' Rei blinked a couple of times when Serenity's words elaborated on what their offer for a reward was. Her eyes shifted between her Usagi and Serenity. Briefly with a look that spelled 'Is this really happening?' before she decided to just go with it with a smile. "I'm interested." She answered. Usagi meanwhile was slightly distracted by Rei shifting her eyes between her and Serenity. Though, she was curious about how different future Rei was as well. "Yeah, I'm game as well." She answered once her mind on the matter was made.

Random-Mailbox's Favorite Sailor Moon Fics - Week 22 - Friends to Lovers

I think this may have been the post I have been looking forward to the most, so thank you tophat for picking it as this week’s theme (see end of last week's post for the story behind it). Friends to Lovers is more manga than anime characterization in most cases, which is a nice change to the constant arguing we get with the OG anime compliant stories.

It's You (I Fell Into) - @idesofnovember

Usagi literally trips over air and falls onto Mamoru on his first day of being the new engineer at the company she works for. As they start to spend more time together both in and out of the office, they get into a pattern that will require clearing up of misunderstandings before someone gets hurt. Also this art piece titled "Before you go in" by @iamcharlotte88 totally fits into the end of chapter 3 / start of chapter 4 of this story.

In this non-senshi AU, little Usagi finds Mamoru in his hospital room and declares that since he is her best friend he will never be alone again. As he moves through foster care, Tsukinos always keep an eye on him, with him becoming an integral part of the family. Except that to him, Usagi means so much more than that, and she herself doesn’t realise yet what Mamoru means to her.

This is the lemoniest story of the bunch. It is an aged up retelling of the original anime episode, BUT if the Starlight Tower stand-off turned out completely differently, with Mamoru joining the senshi team as the result. This one also features magical healing 🍆, which is always welcome in my books 😏

This one-shot gives us a glimpse of an AU that us readers will hopefully get to see in full one day. The set-up is that our favorite duo has known each other since childhood and Mamoru gets something incredibly thoughtful as a gift for Usagi.

Her own fur was white that seemed to shine under the moonlight, and she as well headed towards the direction where she heard the other howl. Until she finally saw what seemed to be another wolf with black fur. She was unsure how to proceed, so she decided to sit and see what the other wolf would do.
