What if ---- I make Charlie more on the monstrous side of vampirism during his first initial resurrection from the Ruins of Christmasland ? Like, Vic isn't sure what she brought back at first ?

Charlie being this more feral, more unnatural in appearance and nature, force. His whole demeanor seems thrown from equilibrium. His vocals stressed, hoarse , more guttural, and animalistic in pitch. That it's almost like he isn't speaking words at all. At least not those associative of the human realm.

I'm talking old school Nosferatu, sure. But I'm also taking elements of bat-like attributes to his features. Maybe this curse from her bridge ? Losing his physical form and being locked inside her inscape ( mind ). That once he was reborn into the natural world, his conjuring took elements of his surroundings ?

That like the story of Dracula, he too , gradually, becomes the man he once was from the beast he was reborn into, the more he feeds. The more he rejuvenates on natural soil.

What can I say, I enjoy playing beastly individuals more often than not.

One thing I really liked in Batman: The Animated Series was how Kirk clearly loved his wife and vice versa, not attacking her and even fleeing in shame when she saw his transformed state and reacted not with awe at what he'd become but horror at what he was doing.
