“Grade School Confidential” (season 8), aired April 6, 1997.
This is sort of conclusion to Bart’s informal relationships with his homeroom teacher and principal, taking participation in them defending their romance. Edna and Seymour are far from most functional adults and role models for junior schooler as much as any other adult in the show, yet they had heartwarming influence on Bart, similar to surrogate parents or aunt/uncle, sometimes more mature and sound-minded than his own parents.

I just woke up from a dream where I was a ghost haunting the Simpson’s house. Everyone had to stay inside because of wildfires (it was being treated like a really bad thunderstorm) and there was a news broadcast going in the background about the fires while the family were eating dinner.
Suddenly Marge said ‘kids, I got a text from Mrs.Krabappel that there are some puppies down the street. She was wondering if you two wanted to go see them.’
Both Bart and Lisa yelled in excitement about the idea of going to see puppies. That’s when I said ‘Wait! It’s too dangerous for you two to go right now! The wildfires are still going!’
The kids groaned after I said that. Then Marge said ‘Exactly, I texted Mrs.Krabappel this and she texted back {I’m sorry, I’m dead so wildfires don’t affect me}.
Then I woke up and couldn’t remember any of the Simpson characters’ names except for Mr. Charles Montgomery Burns.

"Bart The Lover" (season 3), aired February 13, 1992.
This episode, probably, didn’t age well in our time(?), yet it’s one of my favorites about relationships between Bart and Mrs K. Bart is being as heinous as he is naïve about ramifications of his scam, close enough to destroy his teacher morally beyond his calculations if she’d found out his plotting. Thankfully, Marge is being as merciful as she is sensitive about the harm of playing with woman’s heart, willing to help him to make amends and avoiding further wound. (I’d like to draw her for that, but after two homages to Marge in a row Mrs K deserved her spotlight.)
This is not the last chapter of Edna’s perilous pursuit for happiness, with or without Bart’s involvement, for better or worse, but the most bitter-sweet of all.

I might have to put a little break on my rewatch of The Simpsons because I've hit an episode that that makes me very sad because 1. I'm an adult now and that changes the impact of the episode and 2. the show has gone on long enough that the actor who voiced the character has passed away.
