Any projects you'd like to share or progress you've made?
okay so I was leaving this in my inbox all week because I was supposedly close to finishing a project and I wanted to share photos of it all finalised and pretty, but also the dodgy-ass yarn I was using kinda turned it into a botch job so I’ve just had to unravel many many hours of work and I won’t be able to re-make it until I’ve stretched and washed the yarn so it stops messing up the tension and leaving giant holes in the blanket
so my whole mood in regards to knitting is currently >:c
on the plus side though! I’m still having a whole lot of fun spinning yarn from scratch! and I recently got my hands on a free bag of alpaca fleece and it’s so damn soft, oh my gods, I carded it so it’s all de-knotted and it’s so fluffy and soft and aaaaaaaa
so yes I’m excited to get to start on that once I’ve finished spinning the current load of wool I’m working on XD

#bts art#scribble#sketchbook scribbles#i really need to clean out this fountain pen#it's been like a year#it's writing scratchy#but i'm lazy#i was gonna try to draw something digitally#but there's too much stuff on my tablet/desk :|#i'm trying to pysch myself up to cleaning it up#i think i'm gonna sit here eating expired ice-cream instead#tried to give the nib/quill another chance#i'm still super shaky#tried attaching a coil to the nib to get it to hold more ink#because that's one of the things that i hate about using dip pens-- having to keep redipping so often#it kinda works#although i overloaded it a few times so that's why there are ink splotches#i remembered i had noodlers ink in 'black swan in australian roses' and that was kinda perfect for what i was drawing

#cute but creepy is like...pastel gore#it’s cute things in a cute style that are doing creepy things#creepy but cute is more along the lines of a scratchy and disturbing artstyle depicting domestic scenes in a nuclear apocalypse#like a really disturbing creature taking care of a small malnourished child#or a tender scene of lovers holding eachother but they’re laying in a dirty alleyway with abandoned needles and half eaten food#cute but creepy is cuteness to a point the thing you’re depicting is uncanny and wrong#creepy but cute is finding beauty and compassion in a disturbing landscape#thanks for reading all this I enjoyed writing it#original posts
