FOOTFAIRY (2020)
This poster is 50% more exciting than the actual movie. It felt like a too long episode of criminal minds and was only 10% as interesting as thier lamest episode. From the description, I was expecting something reminiscent of Manhunter, but I was sorely disappointed. The ending was througly unsatisfactory and left much to be desired. I never want to see this film again !!

Yep, they did that
The moment you know the movies really botched Hermione's character to the point of no return is the moment she snapped at Kreacher in the seventh movie.
Really ?
Like, really ?
Like, how can you have misunderstand Hermione's character that badly ? That girl tried to be kind to Kreacher when Kreacher didn't deserve it and was throwing racial slurs at her, because Hermione thinks house-elves are brainwashed (which I disagree with, but that's not the point).

While we're all talking about both the WGA/SAG strikes and Barbenheimer, I hope everyone realises that the entire reason this exists is because Christopher Nolan stood up to Warner Bros against pushing their entire cinematic slate onto streaming in 2021, by taking his next film to another studio.
Then, as an act of petty revenge, they decided to deliberately move their single biggest movie of 2023 (and arguably WB's biggest non-Batman/Harry Potter movie in DECADES) directly onto his release date.
So no, the Barbie Marketing isn't "so good it helped another movie". The Barbie Marketing Machine was specifically designed to get back at someone who dared to stand up against WB executives.
It was a calculated move of malice by soulless corporate fuckeroonies.

One of the earliest examples of Leo’s “I’ll do my own thing to accomplish our goal without discussing it with my team first” is in episode one. It’s super, super quick, and ultimately inconsequential, but it subtly sets up a great precedent that I think is very interesting.
When the boys need to grab the medallion from Splinter without Splinter noticing, Raph, Mikey, and Donnie huddle together with Raph taking the lead in trying to devise a plan to get the mystic device. Meanwhile, Leo slinks away and grabs the device by clocking the situation (by knowing his father well enough to predict his actions - something he does with each family member multiple times in the series) and making a move on his own.
It works out perfectly fine, and is ultimately the best move, and it’s honestly okay that he didn’t consult everyone for something so small when it’s such a non issue to get it, but it nicely sets up how this tends to go in the series, including how it goes in the movie.
To be honest episode one is actually really good at setting up a lot of things for each character in the long run, this is just one example that caught my attention, as small and unassuming as it is.

I need you all to understand that because there’s a city in Brazil called CHRISTMAS (aka Natal because Portuguese) and another one called BETHLEHEM (aka Belém), as a kid I thought JESUS IS BRAZILIAN

Did y’all think about how Edgin is presented as the hero/mc of the movie and then proceeds to be n o t h i n g like a traditional male hero? Apart from the fridged wife he: has a daughter that he loves and is shown loving, can’t physically fight, needs to be saved by Holga constantly, is emotionally vulnerable, is self loathing but won’t let that stop him and won’t make that anyone elses problem!! (sort of), literally never has a single hero-i-saved-the-day-moment, his *moments* in the film is him realising he’s been a dick and apologising, all he does is make plans, gets saved by everyone else and occasionally smack people with his lute! loser of all time.

can we stop putting motion blur in video games forever please
it never looks good, and all it ever really accomplishes is needlessly obfuscating the game state.
like who the fuck says "oh gee this game is great, but i wish every time i moved the camera it would become 10 times fucking harder to tell what the hell is even going on"
