5. That's a really tough one. While I do follow gaming news, I am not so attentive to actual game releases. Mostly because I have never really played on a 'current' platform. I have been using consoles for gaming most of my life, I played on x360 up to 2017, then I got a ps4, which was/is my most go-to platform till this year. This year was a change for me, because I finally surrendered to pirating at the beginning of the year, and played through a number of awesome low-spec indies that way. Though, I have been very lucky to get a new pc recently, and oh boy is this a big change for me. It's still crazy to think this machine can run something more than pixelart now xD (no disrespect to low-spec games in this house allowed, the more accessible the game the better, weak hardware optimisation my beloved)

I have also found a way to get past the payment blocks and have bought all those games I pirated, that was a big weight off my shoulders) So, uh, yeah. I don't follow releases. I would have said Alan Wake 2 is you asked earlier this year tho, CONTROL had me transform into a Sam Lake devoted follower xD I'll gladly watch a letsplay of it sometime soon, before I catch any spoilers. All the other game series I'm interested in are either on hiatus (Darksiders when), or the latest entry made me lose interest (Horizon 2. I love the world, so I'll follow the series anyway, but the story of the sequel is a mess I didn't like at all, and it doubled down on this new direction too). That was a long and roundabout way of saying I don't really look up to any new games currently, lol.

12. Currently - Lohse from the DOS2. This game has an extensive player character creator, however, you could play as basically one of the companions of the game, with full custom story and questline. And Lohse is a Very special case, as my dear bard woman is currently posessed)

The game has some amazing moments, where it will throw you a persuasion check to 'prevent you from throttling a character because the demon inside you didn't like them' for example. Funnily enough, in this moment in particular, if you succeed on the first check (which is hard to do early-game), if will throw you Another one with other stats to use. And Another. There's three persuasion checks in succession here, which is normally literally impossible to do, unless you mod the game to hell and leave the balance there as I did, and STILL this is the only option the dialogue will leave for you. Lohse becomes uncontrollable after this, and your other party members have to subdue her.

It's incredible, amazing time, 10/10. Other origin characters are great too, but I think this fourth-wall-meddling makes Lohse simply the best origin character to play as.

I also greatly enjoyed playing as Delsin Rowe in Infamous Second Son, I love that game, it's super fun and has great style, plus Delsin is adorable. He's a bit punk, he is witty, he is a geek, an artist and his grafitti-drawing mechanic is adorable.

Also Death from Darksiders 2. His parkour is superb, his abilities are super cool, he has an amazing horse, and he is Literally Death Rider Of The Apocalypse.

First song that comes to mind would be Bound Together, since I mentioned it a lot the last few asks...excluding that one, Subhuman + BTL, and Black Dog for the fun of it, All Is Soft Inside which was featured for a virtual concert of AURORA in Sky: Children of the Light (adorable game, which will hopefully come out sometime on pc, mutuals I would hold your hands in that game so. much.)

20. A really cool boss. Sorry King Cerberus and Vergil, you are cool by definition. The first that comes to mind is the Guardian fight from the Darksiders 2, which is honestly the most badass fight in the series. THAT MUSIC HITS SO HARD. And that finish animation, oh my, pure epic.

26. Realism or stylized? Stylized anytime. Realism is honestly kind of boring, though I admit sometimes seeing your fave very detailed is cool. For example, dmc5 Dante design is my favourite out of them all, because it is finally (kind-of) down-to-earth. The game is about fighting demons and being cool about it, but the story is of human struggle and issues, and the character design finally reflects that. And I do enjoy the Impressive hair physics in Horizon games, but that's it for realism. Stylized is literally better in every possible way: it makes the design more flexible - it can be expressive or constrained, depending on your direction; it is cheaper to produce and easier to optimize and easier to run. Plus 'realism' is a forever-outdated style. Games that were considered 'realistic' in 90s, 00s and 10s don't look so realistic to us now. Even Delsin Rowe I mentioned above - he looks great, the motion capture and animation for the game looks awesome, but his face is kind of baby-smooth and the pupils of every character in the game are just a bit too-wide, it makes them all look like they all collectively had some hallucinogens xD. Meanwhile, stylised games can never go out of style, as they are the ones dictating it. Beyond Good and Evil still looks good, Fables look good, Psychonauts does too, etc. These games always exist in the state they were meant to be viewed in, while realistic games are always reaching for the not-really-but-sort-of unattainable standards, which change with time and available technology.

Stylized is Always. Better. In. Every. Way. Also make games optimized again and lower the hardware reqs. I swear, it's like every new title requires you to buy an entire basement full of rocket-science multi-computers, each with a videocard which name will make the math-lovers cry.

Moonlight Falls a new Überhood + BACC - lets play

Here you go guys. A new letsplay I have been working on. 

I know I’ve not been very active lately online and that’s basically because I burned out on this game. It didn’t take me long to get back playing. I started a new BACC with a few old and a few new sims and even tough I have not been sharing my game I have been playing and most importantly enjoying my new hood. 

One big aspect of why I have been enjoying my new hood is because I’ve not been sharing it. There is something nice in having a hood just for myself. 

But... I did miss making videos so here I am again with a new restart. 

The biggest thing I learned from my burn out was that if I ever want to keep making videos my main hood and my letsplay hood cannot be the same. So I decided to (yet again) dip my hands in a new überhood attempt, but this time with a BACC attached to it as well. 

The idea of the hood is that I record everything in here from building to editing sims in CAS to playing each day with each household. 

The way I’m planning on releasing these videos are that I play one household in full then release all related videos in one go. 

But life being what it is I of course immediately I failed in this task!

I had some dental work done on me today which means I cannot talk normally yet, which also means I cannot do letsplays. I did however manage to play the Goth household from Sunday to Wednesday. So I’m going to release these episodes now and the rest when I can talk again. 

I might release some untalkative speed build episodes for some buildings I want to build and release those in the mean time. 

Now a note of warning that there is no release schedule for this lets play. Because I still have work and life in general is going on I’ll play when I can and release the next batch of episodes when I’m ready to do so. 

The hood introduction video will be released tomorrow at midnight and the following 5 videos will come out every 15 minutes after that.

Meet the Watchmaker!

Idea of time concept being related to something steampunk-ish isn't new, but I had fun making up this one. In this story time is an enormous clockwork. It contains billions of different gears. Every gear presents a living creature. And by living creatures I mean EVERY living being from bacteria to human. While they're alive the gear is spinning and the mechanism works well - time goes on. But as time passes, gears grind and in the end they can't spin properly. This is when creature dies. Watchmaker is the one, who replaces old gears and puts new ones, newborn creatures.

This huge clockwork and the Watchmaker exist beyond time and space. Normally living creatures can't get there. It's slightly similar to the hidden locations in some videogames. Locations which exist in game files, but the player isn't supposed to see them. They exist for developer's tests. But there are some ways to visit them. It could be bugs, cheats or just messing around with program files. SO, creatures can get to the clockwork through some kind of paranormal area. (Bermuda triangle, for example) Because these are the most "glitchy" places on Earth. Or creature (at this point human, i guess) could be teleported there for attempts in controlling universe/time or messing around with something great they shouldn't.(uhh it's hard to explain, because I didn't think about this part too much. Maybe like something that happened in Avantasian The Mystery of Time?) Like when you try to cheat in multiplayer and then the game puts you in some lobby haha. (I don't cheat, I just used to watch Minecraft letsplays xD )

I've written a lot and haven't said anything about his personality. It seems to be too much information for only one post, so later I'll make an additional post with some sketches and more info :D

For this one I should note that I consume DR through letsplays, and am actually fairly early in v3- as in, I've gotten as far as the investigation for his murder but not as far as his class trial about it (& the person whose letsplay I'm watching- version2lp, I recommend her to anyone interested- didn't do any of his free time events). So unfortunately I don't really know that much about him yet, but I'll try to answer as many as I can

My first thought seeing him was "this guy is transmasc". Like the green hair combined with the baggy clothes and specifically a shirt a lot like one of my favorite ones? Yeah. Also I thought he would survive at least until near the end rip

So, fun fact about us:

we cannot engage with most horror unless it's something we ourselves wrote, or we're doing it through a proxy (a youtuber doing a letsplay, or someone going over a series and adding commentary, etc), because if we try to engage with the source material ourselves, or a video of it without commentary, there is a ~80% chance we'll end up at least mildly paranoid for the next few hours, and a good 40% chance we'll end up extremely paranoid.

Now, a normal person would see this fact about themselves, and say "alright, I can just engage with it through a proxy. That's fine."

the thing is that we. Are not normal. And also love horror.

So we will occasionally make the very, very stupid decision of watching a horror scenario (it was one of those EAS scenario things that people put on youtube occasionally) at 5:30 in the morning.

I am certain y'all can guess how that went down when we tried to sleep.

short answer: no, don't worry

longer answer: every smp and letsplay has a limited life span before people burn themselves out on it. it's natural due to the progression of the game, and the fact that there are only so many hours you can spend in the same world with the same people doing the same things before you get bored. some groups, namely hermitcraft, refresh the server and take on giant projects to prevent this. most just accept that eventually the server will end and move onto new things.

the dream smp has already lasted much longer than 95% of servers I've seen, and that's impressive in its own right. this is because of the close knit friendships, delayed progression because of rules instated, and of course, the overarching storyline they act out to keep things fresh. also- it's massively profitable, I mean- people have a big motivation to get on there lmao.

the osmp died because they got bored of it and because wilbur (and tommy?) had to take a break for a bit, and because they weren't really that compelled and were even annoyed now (in niki's case) by the hybrid traits.

the dream smp still has people invested in playing and is much more central to their livelihoods, it's not just going to die out without anyone saying anything. plus, wilbur's one determined fucker and he seems passionate about getting his story out there one way or another, which pulls a lot of people along with him. I don't think it'll die like a normal server because of this, but I think it's not going to last forever

had a dream today that it was a new season of third life, and Etho was setting up in very cool starter base. What he built was essentially a big open wooden chest around two beehives that initially spawned near each other on the trees, using them he got quite alot of honeyblocks which he used to decorate the edges. The build itself resembled Scars Chestmonster shop from season 7 but more natural. He also used honeyblocks around the walls from the outside, to "prevent players from entering the build without permisison, because they cant jump over the walls", like they couldnt just break the blocks. Or burn his base again, in fact his base was very flammable, because he made it mostly out of wood. (It may have been that this season firetick was off) And although the series is a dramatic survival event with alliances and betrayals, his first episode was almost fully focused on the build, essentially he treated it like a normal survival letsplay episode, cutting out all the interactions with other players and trades for all the needed recources with them that still couldve been seen in other peoples povs, which was all to be fair quite funny. He had a noteblocks setup with ables sisters theme playing underground, and he lived off of honeycombs the bees produced, and at the end of the episode he used camera mod to show off the build from all sides, saying how this is the most functional starter base houses hes ever built in these kinds of series.

hermit seasons are less like DSMP arcs and more like letsplays of their own? they are currently on season 8. seasons normally last a year-year and a half, and at the end of each season they wave goodbye to their projects from that season and move onto a new world for the next season. it’s to keep things fresh, because they spend most of their season in what we’d call “endgame Minecraft”, and eventually they run out of energy to work on their mega projects from their current season! so they start a new one. (it would be more like if they reset the map and storyline in DSMP for the upcoming update than like a DSMP “season”, if that makes sense.)

you don’t have to watch any previous season to figure out what’s going on in the current one, though they will make references (and helsknight and evil x have followed us to this season I guess). heck, you barely have to watch THIS season — hermitcraft is easy to jump in at the middle of. that’s what I did when I started watching.

that being said, if you want the fast way to know what’s going on at any point, the hermitcraft recap is a weekly show that recaps the week’s events, the previous Sunday through Friday! the recap itself comes out on Sundays. the recap boys are practically honorary hermits themselves for how important they are to the community. so if you want a fun way to figure out which hermits to watch or to catch up on previous seasons, watching the recap episodes can be a good way to go about it!

So I got to thinking about all the new people to the ffvii fandom that are probably brought in by the remake and thoughts I'd compile a list of content for y'all to get caught up. I recommend you play/watch in the order I list to avoid spoilers.

OG. It's almost always discounted on steam, and is ported to every iteration of PS, and still decent price. If you dont have the ability to buy it, then I'd personally recommend blacklightattack or eyesonfinalfantasy on youtube, both have very sound and thorough explanations of what's going on and are 100% type letsplays.

Crisis Core. Most of us dont have PSP I assume, I do not remember who I watched play it, but I know cryotic has a let's play. Cutscene movies exist but that's a lot of funny content cut out so I recommend a lp instead. You have plenty of time till episode 2 of remake is out and it's about to be summer break. Dont worry.

Optional:--You can watch last order now or wait till watching a let's play of before crisis. It's on both youtube and watchcartoononline, possibly kissanime as well.

Next is before crisis. There is a youtube lp with english translation that should show up with a search. I recommend it before the books and AC because it explains a lot of things without spoiling too much.

On the way to a smile. Thelifestream.net has both a translation of text and audio books of each chapter. You can also watch the animated Case of Denzel chapter, but that is optional. Most anime websites should have it. Also optional is The Kids are Alright, a book talking about Reno's childhood.

Advent Children. I recommend it after OTWTAS because it doesnt quite make sense otherwise. Please ensure you watch complete (extended) edition. Can also be found on most anime websites.

Maiden Who Traveled the Planet. Dubious canonicity, book during OG following Aerith. Only read after dealing with OG. Will spoil stuff. Is also on thelifestream webpage.

Dirge of Cerberus. 3rd person shooter where you play as Vincent. You probably dont know who he is at time of reading this if you're new, but will know by the time you've gotten here after doing the rest of the list. It's a but wonky but there are let's plays and cutscene movies galore. A+ on story, D- for controls. Last mandatory part of compilation of ffvii.

Recommended:

Maiden Who Traveled the Planet. Also on tls. Spoiler heavy, read after OG.

The ultimanias and reunion files. On tls. Essentially the books that explain stuff that you normally wouldn't otherwise catch.

Dissidia, and 012 and NT. Cutscene movie recommended. NT was a disappointment to fandom but is still canon.

FFX and FFX-2. Canonically same universe as seven. Humans in VII came from the world in X.

Theres a youtube animation series called The Death of Cloud. I dont recommend it personally, but it's got official square recognition. Not canon. Spoiler heavy.

FF Mobius Fatal Calling event. Cutscene movie is all over youtube. Event I believe is actually over. Spoilers but minor.

Brave Exvius, World of FF, and Record keeper have events and stuff. Also theres that music game.

Kingdom Hearts series has instances with FFVII characters. And notoriously hard Sephiroth hidden boss fights.

TLS has alternative translations of the games Japanese text archived, and revealed scenes that are still in the OG VII's code but not accessible by the player without mods. Like the speech Sephiroth was meant to give and more Honey Bee content, and removed character dialogue. Also has like, early concepts and art that are massively different than what came out. Just, explore thelifestream. It's a good site for all things ffvii. And has interesting forums and podcasts.

I do not want these type of youtubers using my CC

Over the last few months I have noticed this particular youtuber using my cc for her content in her sims4  machinima & letsplays videos. The type of content theyre making makes is fat shaming , fatphobic, and I do not condone the usage of my cc for any of this. It’s funny how people like this think you won’t find out.  So i’ll try to say this as calmly as possible..

It’s annoying and disgusting, and on top of all of that she doesn’t even redirect anyone of her subscribers to my website nor blog to download my cc..as if she is ashamed of using it or just to prove my point of this person exploiting fat people and people who prefer body agumentations in their sims.

my sims I create for are plus sized, large, fat,. curvy and bigger than most average players play with. these mods are for people who want the same things as to my liking. my aesthetic is not for everyone but i also have in my TOU that my content is for 18+ and that covers for people who prefer a more curvy look to their sims and fetishes and admiration of larger people. I am also aware i cannot control how others use my cc, I can control the influence it has. thats why my presets go to a larger scaled size far as augmentations and bodies. because these people exist in real life like i do. and I view this in an artistic over-proportioned yet aesthetically pleasing way. but my cc, it is NOT CREATED FOR FAT SHAMING FAT-PHOBIA NOR ANYTHING RELATED TO ANOREXIA OR BLUEMIA. IT IS NOT FOR PEOPLE TO MAKE JOKES AND MOCKERY OF POC BODIES IN YOUR VIDEOS AND POSTS. SO for your to make content like that with my cc for a younger audience bothers me, and it should bother you too. I do not want any of these kind of youtubers using my content in their videos for these reasons..if not at all. my original idea for body preset was for bodies that have extra curves and things alot of people want to see far as body-inclusiveness and this is not the light i want this in.

In their videos they speak on a character who has a “phobia of exercise” what kind of bullshit is that? I find it ironic that there is always people who have never experienced being over-weight, and doesn’t even know that weight is determined by height or what these people call “obese” ARE ALWAYS speaking on these things. you cannot relate or know what could be their reason for obesity. these  people are always telling fat people to lose weight or having a problem with them existing. these people are the same ones telling skinny people to EAT MORE. your ignorance clearly have 0 idea of that concept. not all obese people sit around crying about eating food all day and why they cant lose the weight. It is  skinny-privilege for them to make content and stories about weight loss issues and eating disorders when they have 0 experience and no understanding to any of those concepts. its even more sad that these videos have MILLIONS of views. non which have credited my mods. use your underhanded fat-hating bullshit elsewhere it is not wanted here.

and on top of that , they’re a  joke in general. Ive gotten Tea about this youtuber being in tons of other drama in past years related to other discrimating content. Im curious as ot what kind of self-hating auidence is wanting to see big sims exploited like this to the point of making it a whole serious that got millions of views? thats the real question..out of all the millions of haters this is a safe place for people to enjoy their oversized and exaggerated sims without discrimination

Another issue is that I am not as active in simblr community as many other body preset creators are. Yet, i find it funny that my demographic audience that does interact with me doesn’t do things like this but somehow simblr community sees my content as invisible, yet the same type of content is on youtube for 1000s of viewers with 1000s of views without any credit to me or my cc. these youtubers will rather credit body presets of people they see as “normal enough to share to others” than mine. so you mean to tell me that your only reason for using my content is to make shameless stupid videos for your triggering content but you cant be bothered to acknowledge the creator simply because ? it doesnt fit your daily style? you're embarrassed to say where you got it? quick tip, don’t use my cc if you can’t credit me in your videos but will credit others who make the exact same things as i do. period. 

I always notice youtubers do not mention “certain types” creators when they will mention everyone elses especially if its more teen+ NSFW OR POC related and i see you. They will quickly say “tumblr” or “lanaccfinds” which is a LIE most of the best cc is on the creator’s blog / sites.

I am bothered by the mockey and jokes that have been made in these videos of plus sized + curvy sims. plenty of people from their channels have come to my blog asking questions making statements about it and I don’t post about it because I dont want my blog clogged up with negativity from their ignorant following. it proves my point of why i remain to say my cc is 18+ teen to mature.I prefer if people who message me and inbox me with asks about these youtubers to refrain from associating them with me and youtubers stop using my cc in your videos for stupid skits. Dude has typical vampire powers, superspeed/agility, drinks coconut juice(as it can be used for blood transfusions, I think) and animal blood, raw meat and has the normal aversion towards holy stuff, garlic--sad, he likes italian food--and sunlight, to which he combats by wearing black and shit all the time and people call him a goth, doesn't like being called an emo or confused for one, despite the fact he listens to MCR and PTAD--Transmission suggested he go with 'Twilight' as his hero name and Hellsing nearly killed him, he forgot one of his teammates had shield powers--Then Transmission had tried 'Ghoul' because Tokyo Ghoul, and it nearly worked.

Trailblazer: I don't really hate the name, but she don't do much besides be a neon Dora the Explora, Miraculous Ladybug lovechild knock-off. Maybe Dimeno? Like, short for Dimension?

Her powers aren't a backpack in my version, she literally has the powers to make pocket dimensions, to which she can store shit in and possibly hide in(a literal safe space? Heh. Safe haven.) She makes and focuses a main, constant pocket dimension in her backpack given to her by her grandfather--too old to take care of her, so she's in a foster home--as making multiple pocket dimensions would tire her out and possible tear a hole in the universe and mess it up. She can put in all types of shit to always be prepared, but taking shit out can be random, maybe? Leader type, innovative, helper type person--my god would want me to help those in need--stuff like that. Constantly hooked up to the web and making pop culture references--think of Abed from Community--hacker of the team, smart af, doesn't get sick from physical illnesses, only digital "viruses", get it? Tinkerer? Maybe? Knows how to make smoke bombs and other gadgetry(for himself and his other teammates) because he can google. Has gone on the deep web at least once. Has checked his grandfather's search history at least once. Not experiences he'd like to repeat. His powers come from him being a tecnopath, an experimental chip put in his head(by his grandfather)(no internet gas here) Hates being compared to Ben-10, or called a Ben-10 cosplayer, something his team uses against him when he starts to get to big for his britches. Doesn't use a phone, uses his brain, you can bet he's almost constantly watching hardcore porn or twitch-streaming his letsplays and begging his friends for pity views and likes)Also he's basically like a walking wifi hot spot so techy people are naturally drawn to him and want to stand near him. Infinite knowledge. Shit-post generator. Maybe he wants to be hero for the social media clout? It'd be funny, he streams his battles.

Snowflake: Artic or Glacier, maybe. Also anime nerd because that's the only damn explanation for making shurikens, they love naruto, naruto is love, naruto is life--but lets expand on the ice and have them make any type of weapons with their ice, axes, spears, swords, maybe they'll have a ninja theme going on with a Katana and their brother will tease them for it. They're more of an offensive fighter, leaving the shielding and protecting to their brother. They'll dodge and/or hop away, but most of their force comes behind their ice. They're more of the serious type, with their icey demeanor. They're a strategist, one who holds long grudges and builds high defenses to hide their true self from others

Safe Space: Armory, or Aegis if I'm feeling it.

Jock with a big heart because I love those types, makes the jokes, would fight for his friends, would die for his friends and I'd die for him. A beefy guy who can throw a punch and tackle and the way his fights is more brutal due to his football training?? Transmission obviously makes him gadgets so he doesn't fucking die in battle cause he can barely protect himself, so he wears pretty flexible armor to fight with. Sporty bro, on football team, tank of the superhero team. Likes pink and shit, no toxic-masculinity here, a damn gentleman and desires to protect the people he loves and the people of this city(if he can make shields for other people, can he just surround a bad guy with them and crush them to death? Or just trap them??) Selfless boy. But if it ever came down to his sibling over the city...his friends over the world....he doesn't know what he'd do.

Lapidot Human videoblogers AU PART 1

So, I had this idea for a few days and I finally wrote it. Wow. It’s long, I never wrote an AU like this, and I hope someone will like it =) 

PART 2 IS HERE 

and yes this will have mistakes in my English and I’m sorry

Peridot is a gamer and has a popular YouTube channel. She makes streams, letsplays, and because of her funny reaction to winning or losing, people like to watch her channel. Or they just put the video as a background while they are doing something, because Peridot is never silent, almost always comments on the game.  

She lives with Steven and the rest CG in one big apartment that Steven's father bought. Everyone has a room. She is about 19-20 years old, Steven is 14, and he sometimes appears on her stream as a co-player. The rest CG, by the way, also sometimes appear there as interlocutors, analysts, co-players, or simply come to say hi.

Peridot lives a not very social life. She mostly stays at home and plays, because to earn money from a channel like this, you have to make many videos. Sometimes she is invited to all sorts of blogger festivals or gamers conventions, and she willingly agrees. This is a change of atmosphere, usually the organizers pay for the tickets. Also a blogger can talk with fans, and Peridot loves her fans.

Lapis is also a blogger, but in a completely different area. She travels and shows the culture of other countries, traditions, food, language, everything she can learn. She usually arrives in the country, spends a week in the capital, and then goes to cities for another week. Then she returns to her hometown, where she spends two weeks on video editing and loading them on her channel. After a little rest she travels somewhere else.

Money for trips is usually taken from sponsors (advertising of airlines, hotels, cafes, and so on), although earlier she had to travel with her saved money by working as an artist and handmaker. She still draws, and brings from travel a lot of sketches that she collects and loves more than photos.

Lapis and Peridot have never met, but they watch each other’s channels. Lapis likes to put Peridot's video on the background, while she is doing some kind of home routine, sometimes she watches her streams if the hotel has good internet. She likes to listen to the stories of Peridot and Steven, and she likes the way Peridot reacts to what is happening around.

Peridot likes to watch Lapis' channel, because she has never traveled much, but the world around her is still interesting, and Lapis, unlike many similar bloggers, doesn't stick to the script, doesn't have an operator, doesn't learn the text and shows what is around, not just herself on the screen.

Lapis is sincerely excited about everything new around and talks about how beautiful the world is, and Peridot sees all this beauty through her eyes, but most of all she admires Lapis, who in her 20+ y.o (maybe 23) isn't afraid to travel all alone.

In short, they watch each other's videos, but they never chatted or spoke.

Once, at one of the gaming festivals, Peridot was a guest at an interview with fans, where one fan asked about what other channels she likes. Peridot named several game channels and added that besides this she likes Lazuli's travel blog. "I know that we are subscribed to each other, but I don't know why she is subscribed to me. Lazuli, I know that some subscribers will come to your comments with this question, so you can answer me somewhere, because I'm interested. Do you play something that I play?"

Of course, people came Lapis' comments with this question, and Lapis preferred to answer in her instagramm with the answer: “I played games when I was a teenager, now I don’t have time and people to play with, so sometimes I watch how other people play and enjoy. Peridot does it better than anyone, I like her sincere emotions every time something goes no according to her plan."

According to the "law" of the society of YouTube, fans began to demand joint streams. Lapis promised to think when she returns home from another trip, and Peridot didn’t really think about it. Lapis was a busy person. But two weeks later, Lapis wrote that she had suddenly completed all the editing, she has free time, and some kind of collaboration can bring subscribers to both of them. So Peridot chose the least difficult game that can be played together, and they make the stream. Their fans were delighted.

Unfortunately, because of her travels planned for six months ahead, Lapis couldn’t play with Peridot often, but they started to talk and quickly became friends (they love the same TV shows, of course). Gradually, the communication came to chatting every day (as far as possible and still as friends). Lapis didn't consider Peridot as a potential romantic partner, because Lapis wasn't looking for anyone. She knew that she was never at home, and no one would travel with her.

It lasts for about half a year, after which Lapis understands that she needs a break from constant traveling, and the next trip will be the last for some time. And, wow, what a coincidence, it turns out that she goes to the country where Peridot lives. Lapis goes there for quite a long time, so it seems to her that she can meet Peridot personally, since they are already good friends.

Peridot offers her to stay at her place, because everyone goes on vacation, only Stepven stays and there are 3 free rooms in the apartment. Lapis doesn't want to impose, but on the other hand she is pretty tired of the hotels, and this time she didn't even book something in advance, so she agrees with the condition that she will rent a room and not just live there.

Steven is delighted with their guest. He asks lots of questions and tells that Pearl took him to different countries too, and that once he went somewhere with Peridot, and says that traveling is so cool. Lapis doesn't believe that he is 14, it seems to her that he is much smarter than his age. Peridot greets her cordially, but doesn't talk to her as often as Steven, giving her free space and time.

In order to repay hospitality and company, Lapis cooks something tasty in the evenings, because, as it turned out, Peridot doesn't know how to cook. Steven knows how, but only snacks, nothing that you can eat normally.

Lapis spends days in the city, and only occasionally Peridot makes her company. Sometimes she helps her to film or tells her that she knows about this or that place, and Lapis warns her that she wouldn't cut it out of the video, and would definitely show the audience that Peridot is not only a nerd in games but also in history.  

One evening, Peridot is going to make a stream with the donates, because her playing chair broke and she needed a new one, until "her back broke from sitting on a simple chair". In order to attract more viewers, she says that she has a special guest today, and the fans are absolutely delighted when Lapis turns out to be the one, because many of people ships them. Peridot doesn’t endorse the shipping of real people, but so far nothing bad has happened, so it’s okay.

The audience donates with different questions and wishes, and Peridot and Lapis willingly tell something and share stories about the first games, the countries where they would like to go, about their favorite animals, TV shows and so on. The result is that they have the same dream - a small house near a lake, with a garden, a corgi and decorated in the style of Camp Pining Hearts.

One donation comes with the signature "how much I need to donate, to make you kiss each other." Peridot laughs and says “zero, this is a violation of personal space,” and Lapis shrugs and answers “two thousand bucks”. "Nobody will send so much at once, calm down. And if they send, we can think of something."

And BAM - someone donates such a sum.

They are both shocked, and the chat almost explodes. Lapis looks embarrassed and guilty, Peridot just blushes and looks away. In the end, they agree that this is “friendly” and “means nothing”, and they will not do this anymore. The kiss doesn't last long, but it was pleasant and warm. Lapis unwittingly thinks that it is precisely a kind of feeling that you feel when you kiss someone after returning home. She had never experienced such a thing before. Nobody waited for her at home, and this brought anguish to her: she instantly understood how good it was to live with Peridot this week, and how pleasant it was to come back, hearing a simple "hey".

After the stream, which lasted a little more, for the first time they talk about love and relationships, and Lapis says that in fact the whole problem is not that she is constantly traveling, but that she is afraid that she has a difficult character and no one will wait for her after each trip. And that if her partner asks her to stop traveling, she won't be able to agree to this, because traveling is her life and dream.

Peridot says that she has about the same thing - the channel takes a lot of time and effort, and that she will spend more time with the computer then with her girlfriend. But Peridot, unlike Lapis, isn't afraid to try, and everything is really solved by long and hard work on travel schedules and other things. She doesn't want to put pressure on Lapis, and doesn't force her to anything, but it seems to her that they are very similar and something can work out between them.  

Lapis promises she will think about it. She leaves soon, will be busy with editing and she wants to rest from all the fuss. Peridot understands everything and replies that she will wait for an answer. Lapis leaves, returns to her home and works on the editing for several days, trying not to think about anything because she is afraid of starting something that can break their hearts.  

Peridot goes the other way. She records a video to her channel (a letsplay) in which she talks about why she doesn't date anyone, and how this topic of relationships has affected her life in general. This is not the entire video dedicated to this particular topic - she plays as usual, but on the background she tells this story. In the end, she says that there is a person who is most likely afraid to start something, but she is ready to give all support and adds "in any case, not a place is important, but a person you can always return to and say "hey"".

Lapis (and some Peridot's viewers) understands what this video means. Peridot cleverly disguised everything, but it is enough for Lapis to surrender.  

After a while, subscribers of Lapis' instagram see the instastory which says “I'm going to say "hey” to one blond nerd” and a picture of a travel bag.

as for brothers i think itd be hilarious, trying to get them to interact with each other without it all falling into pieces. i mean yeah the rooftop conversation was great but i am willing to bet my money that the second they get on earth c dirk goes radio silent for a week before roxy drags him back to face People and whenever he tries to start talking with dave theres a 50% chance it goes well with talking about bs and whatever and ending with slam poetry or meme references and a 50% chance that dave hesitated too long before a reply and dirk, overanalysing everything, immediately dives into the conclusion that he said something wrong and that one split second was dave suddenly wanting to leave and so dirk cuts off the conversation early and makes like a banana and splits and then theres really weird silence for three days before one of them manages to say hey whats up im sorry about [insert here] and then they hash out wtf happenned and then its back to normal for like five days and repeats all over again for at least a couple months. i like to think that eventually they become chill with each other and manage to get alongas for hal sahsdkdhjldsg’jdsjdfsuifas i think hal and dave would get along fantastically tbh idk why they havent even interacted in canon (from what i remember) but theres something about the dialogue that makes my braincells dance and go “id pay for an interaction between these two” lets pour one out for the lost potential i think hal and dave would get along greathal and dirk on the other hand hjvdshbjsd’dssd. cvduoskcuyasdcusdkxa. vcysdakcxksdijxhcdis. hal changes dirks alarm to a bass boosted remix of africa by toto & he man & all star and the one time dirk manages to sleep he wakes up crying. there are times where i make myself believe that hal is separate and has a robot body on earth c just so that i can say that for an entire month he moves dirks furniture one inch to the left just so that its unnoticeable but you Stumble. dirk and hal have the Exact Same dynamic as my sister and i, which is to say that on some days we tolerate each other and on most days i cry because she refuses to turn down the tv and insists on blasting roblox letsplays in the living roomanyway the striders are great

Allrighty!- Tenno used to have a sister, Zarri, who died when they were way younger. Fresh out of college young. She never mentions her, or how she died.- She incorporates a lot of her imagination into reality, naming inventions and ideas after games she plays, as escapism.- She got involved in an asura gate accident that trapped her in the Mists for close to a year, which perverted her elementalist control into Mist magic affinity. She also occasionally hears and sees Zarri, but not the same way a revenant legend appears to people.- She has the Tyria equivalent of todays gaming channels, on Asuranet, under the moniker Girl Genius Tenno. She does letsplays, vlogs, and livestreams. She actually streams it live whenever she goes out with her adventurer team.- The Mist trip left her with a variation of chronic fatigue, that constantly burns her magic up. Normally, this is not a problem, as she rarely magicks, and thus it regenerates properly to keep balance. But if she fights and uses excessive amounts, her body shuts down and she can’t function at all.- Normal sicknesses make her very vulnerable because of this. She concocted a medicine herself, that acts similar as an energy drink in pill form, to keep herself from fizzling out and becoming dangerously depleted.- She has a self-founded, one-asura Krewe, the Lotus of Maguuma, which was a childhood idea of hers and Zarris. She goes out on occasion, to perform vigilante treks around the Jungle, under this ‘creed’.- Her Battleframes are all imbued with mistmagic conducting crystals. She herself sits in an alcove laced with these, in her home, to keep from fizzling out; while she remote controls the Frame.- She is capable of conjuring a portal merely to swap places with one of her Frames. It doesn’t work to just bring her somewhere, or bring just the suits somewhere; it has to be a swap. It is most commonly how she acts in combat situations.
