170811 - Meeting Monsta X at Starbucks in Berlin

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I met Monsta X on the streets of Berlin yesterday. Or at least two of them, my bias and bias wrecker, Jooheon and Kihyun. Nice. Basically. My friend (from the Czech Republic) and I (from Sweden) had wandered around all day, visiting the kpop store and all that. Then we were standing by a pedestrian crossing, waiting for the green light. And suddenly this guy walked up to my side and I had to take a double take bc, 'Is that Kihyun???????'. My heart dropped and I turned to my friend and was like "IT'S KIHYUN IT'S KIHYUN OMFG IT'S KIHYUN." BC HOLY SHIT HALF A METER FROM ME STOOD THE ACTUAL YOO KIHYUN!!!! Sorry I'm still freaking out holy shit. He looked like a f**king god, looking all artsy in his round golden glasses and big camera. Plus: no make-up!Kihyun is 👌 👌 💕 👅 👅 😭 💖

Kihyun then waved to someone on the other side. We thought it was his manager bc what would he be doing all by himself in Berlin when his concert is just in a few hours?? Suddenly the light turned green and he went ahead of us, and since we thought that it was his manager on the other side of the road (we couldn't see the person he was waving to yet) we didn't want to ask for his autograph since they usually aren't allowed to do that.

But then we saw who he was waving to. J O O H E O N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was also standing by himself, wearing slippers, shorts and a wind jacket. He looked so fluffy and smol and okay imma stop talking. So now we had to make a decision in 0.1 second, are we going to follow them and ask for their autographs or just go back home? 

We decided to follow them, walking about 100 meters behind them. After only a minute or two they went into a Starbucks and we stopped outside. After about two minutes of freaking out we decided that our last chance was to also go in, just look at them and then leave without bothering them. So now my friend was literally standing right next to Jooheon (who ordered an iced americano for Kihyun and a coffee with milk for himself bc that's important information). When he'd ordered he stood beside Kihyun who were waiting for their orders. Then one of the cashiers recognized them and asked for a photo, and they actually agreed to take the picture so yeah. My hands were shaking so bad when I payed for my drink but I'm proud of my friend and I bc we actually managed to act like any other customers in the café (where are our Oscars?).

While we were waiting for my friend's drink, the boys left the café and we were kind of sad bc yep they're leaving and we're not going to follow them. But then they sat down at a table outside! At this point a total of five girls + a really kind dad had noticed them. So we looked outside and saw that they actually signed autographes to the girls! So they basically only sat down to make those fans happy and sign their stuff (stan monsta x) And now we freaked out again bc neither one of us had a pen nor a piece of paper. But when we walked outside a girl let us borrow her pen and paper so that was really nice of her (I owe her my life).

While my friend was doing something else, I walked up to their table, Kihyun to my left and Jooheon in front of me. I just said that I was "so so sorry for disturbing them but can I please get an autograph?" Kihyun made his "pftttth" laugh with his eyes looking like half moon crescents (y'all know which one I mean), but he took my paper and signed it. Since Kihyun was to my left I couldn't really look him in the face that well, so when I spoke I mostly looked at Jooheon. I was stuttering like an idiot in the beginning but I was shaking so much while trying to act cool and look calm lmao. I basically told them that I was "really excited for the concert tonight" to which Jooheon replied with an "oh really?~" AND HIS DIMPLES ARE SO FREAKING DEEP MAN I SWEAR TO GOD THAT BOY WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME. . So yeah I basically managed to keep eye contact with JH for like 15 seconds and then I just said “thank you so much and sorry for disturbing” to which Kihyun replied with a “It’s alright” then I  left so that I wouldn't disturb them more than I already had.

So yeah, in totalt there were five people plus my friend and I who noticed them that time. Everyone was really respectful and left as soon as they got their autographs. My friend and I left (shaking like idek) and when we looked back when we had walked about 300 meters, we noticed that the boys had left. So yep that was the first time I met an idol and talked to one. Also, you should know that I've always thought that I would be one meter taller than every mx member (I'm 175 cm [5'8 ish inches?]) but both Kihyun and Jooheon were taller than me. They looked 300x more beautiful in person and both of them were tanned and just yeah. Kihyun looked like a photography student who just walked out of class while Jooheon looked like a fluffy 22 y/o who just woke up, hair in a mess. 

So now I own a paper with their autographes (jh signed w J-honey i mean yes i'm dead) and I'm just so so so so grateful that they took their time to make their fans happy. A plus is that the concert also was bomb af. Basically: never be one of those fans who tries to search for the location they last were seen, just walk around, do your thing. And if it happens it happens, ya know?

Words are not enough to express how emotional and how strongly it felt bein surrounded by a Monbebe Ocean... How amazing it felt to be in that place to be able to actually see them all to see them perform on stage and have them talk to us... To see the boys sobloving and caring towards and it showed when they stopped everything when a fan fainted and made sure that she(they) was okay and taken care of... It's one of the most beautiful memories i will have ... The fanchant during Broken heart and the oceab of lightsticks and glow sticks during that song brought a tear to my eye... If you think about becoming a Monbebe you might want to read this and rethink you choice

(pls read until the very end)

First off, I wasn't that much into Monsta X's music or into the members themselves before (after facing a lot of problems) I decided to go to the Monsta X Beautiful first world tour concert in Berlin with two of my friends. I even asked people on tumblr for something like a Monsta X starter-kit (shoutout to @princechaewons ,@nooshpresents , @stanmonstaxandnct for telling me what to watch)

A K-Pop group in Europe? In my home country? Only a one-hour flight away from my hometown? That's a RARE occasion and I had to take this chance even though they are not one of my bias groups. I didn't pay THAT much for the tickets (45€/53$(US)) so I didn't expect too much from it.

We finally stood in front of the Tempodrom (the concert hall) like half an hour before we were able to enter it. The queue was all over the place and after almost 2 hours of waiting I got impatient but I had such great conversations with other Monbebes (great fans tbh 10/10 would talk to again). Everything went smooth after getting in and finding our assigned seats and the actual view was shocking, as I already said I didn't expect much but do have some sort of expectation.

We sat on the outermost row, slightly more on the right side. With 3500-3800 people in there you would think that your only friend will be the screens on the side to somewhat guess what's happening in front of you but I was totally wrong, we had such a f*cking great view. I was able to pretty much see every single facial expression and the acoustic was also kind of impressive.

BUT NOW TO THE ACTUAL CONCERT EXPERIENCE:

I was beyond SHOOK™ I NEVER even dreamed about feeling these emotions while seeing a concert.

The live-vocals were breathtakingly good, of course they had a bit of playback (as they were dancing the whole time) but you could easily pick up on their actual vocals and HOLY SHIT they were stable, powerful and fit the music perfectly. The mood was just right and we were able to feel the vibes of every single song and without exaggerating I can say that their voices sound even better live while performing these hardcore choreographies than recorded for their albums. It was professional and clear. Especially Jooheon's and Kihyun's cover of Mirror by Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars gave me goosebumps like crazy. Jooheon's strong rap parts and Kihyun's beautiful voice paired together with the heartbreaking lyrics were too much for my poor little heart. (btw  Be Quiet is a good song but the live version is ten times better)

The choreography was also really in-sync and underlined their powerful voices and the meaning of the lyrics (I checked them out beforehand). The crowd did a great job too (Not many people knew the whole Korean lyrics but chanted the English parts and bits of the Korean text EVEN louder) Shoutout to Monbebes for making their idols feel loved and supported, even while they are living on completely different parts of the world, dealing with a language barrier but that doesn't stop them, shouting their names and waving their lightsticks (tbh one of the most beautiful and thought-out designs I've ever seen).

Even though their performances were beautiful (pun intended) I was enjoying the ments a lot too because they actually took the time to learn German phrases. Like a lot... it was heartwarming and super funny. They introduced themselves in German as well, they got down the basics like thank you (Danke), We love you (Wir lieben euch)/ I love you (Ich liebe euch/dich) and hello (Hallo/Guten Tag) and a lot more but also other phrases like „Waren wir gut?“ (Were we good? - in this context they asked about the performance) or I.M's well prepared sentence „Ich werde euch niemals vergessen“ (I will never forget you) at the end. They tried to involve German words as much as possible and also repeated  the translated words of the translator (obviously mispronouncing some parts but it was really cute). I died a little when Wonho talked about being reborn and suddenly spoke a few sentences in German. I screamed a lot...

This band made us feel like they are not interested in our money, they care about each and every single Monbebe, supporting us just as much as we do. not caring about where we come from. Making a language barrier dissapear in their own way. They spread a lot of love and in return received even more. This is what a healthy relationship between fans and idols should look like. I felt truly happy. Seeing their smiley and giggly faces, hyping each other up, hearing their godly voices, noticing their remarkable attempts to communicate with us and hearing the fanchants.

What moved me a lot was the fact that when one girl fainted in the front crowd (in the last 2 minutes of the concert) the members quickly called the security making sure she would get out save. After their ment Wonho once again assured us that the security would take care of her as he was propably really worried and concerned about her condition himself.

Bonus for people who still don't think about stanning them:

One of my friends (he already loved their music but wasn't exactly familiar with their faces), whose bias is Minhyuk btw, is also super shy and doesn't come out of his comfort zone very easily. He stood beside me singing the lyrics in full volume, screaming for his bias, he danced and jumped, he was absolutelty into it and most importantly: HE FELT HIMSELF (he also ended up with two new bias: I.M and Hyungwon. He didn't even like them at first (he also thought they both looked weird and he didn't truly appreciated Hyungwon's voice). Out of nowhere he asked me and our friend for the name of the boy who sang a lot of slow parts, I wasn't quite sure what he meant by that, „you know, the thin cute looking guy… (he isn't attracked to men but even HE was amazed and blown away by how good looking they are). I.M's rap parts where convincing enough to add him to his bias list.

For real though, their beauty is no joke and their bodys are also 11/10. Wonho's butt  o.o i cri

A night I will remember including a lot of my screaming a concert that made one thing clear for me: I want to support them because they deserve the world and so much more love!

In conclusion: Yes, you should definetly start stanning Monsta X, it's absolutely worth it. This essay might have changed your opinion on becoming a Monbebe and it supported your thought of having a new fandom to get sucked into (at least I hope so because they are so freaking underrated it hurts) as I stated in the title you will rethink your choices because you could have been a Monbebes all this time so why are you still waiting?

Do you guys have any idea how hard it was for me not to watch a full video of From Zero? Like I refused to watch any of them in full or even with sound... Let me tell you it was more than worth it. ooc: pretty important non-rp notice about MyMusicTaste

I’m officially going into hiding. MyMusicTaste released the pictures from the group picture event and I’m just utterly shocked and embarrassed.

I don’t dare post the picture anywhere because it’s just… too much. Long story short: I was wearing a dress and you can see right under it. It was really rushed. They made us sit down in front of them, took two pictures and sent us off very quickly. There was no time to change position. No one told me you could see under my skirt. No one. Not the photographer and two other people standing next to them in front of us.

Personally, I find this unacceptable. I think it’s gross and it completely ruined the picture experience for me. I paid 172 euros for that. For a picture I honestly want taken down from their site, because just thinking about it makes me want to cry.

MyMusicTaste screwed this event over completely. They ruined the ticket sale. They ruined the numbering system and they ruined organizing this event in general. Honestly, if the boys knew how this event was handled they would be so disappointed. On stage they kept telling us to to think of our health, but MMT thinks it’s okay to let people set up a numbering system at 10pm the night before. They think it’s fine to not let people know that the VVIP tickets were only for presale. They think it’s fine to not announce that VVIP has early entrance. And they think it’s okay to take two pictures and not let me know you can see up my skirt, and post it online.

I’m sorry for the rant. But I needed to get this off my chest and people should know. This is too much and embarrassing. I hope they realize what kind of angry mail they will get for pulling stuff like this yet again.

And this way I want to warn you guys about this company. It’s all fun and games to bring your favorite groups close to your country, but it’s no fun this way. People need to adress the issues and not let it happen. Every time I go to a concert they organize, stuff goes wrong. Stuff that shouldn’t go wrong. Stuff that was could easily be avoided. Please write down your experiences and share them, don’t let them get away with it.

My friend is starting a blog where you can submit kpop concert experiences. You can reach her on [email protected]. You can state the concert, venue and who organized it along with your experience. This way we're trying to give people a realistic idea of kpop concerts and what organisers to steer clear from.

It took me some tim to write about the concert but...yeah this is it. I could write like a 100 page essay about it but...who would read that? So okay let’s start with MX in Berlin aka the best night of my fucking life.

Shownu - is so beautiful! He was the first member I saw and during their first song (beautiful) I could saw him all the time. His voice is angelic, his laugh his cute and he is a giant soft teddybear! But he was a bit quit all the time - but as soon as the music started he was like?!?! Quiet Shownu who?!?! HERE I COME!! And he looked sooo sooooooooo good with his hairstyle in in their different outfits! ♥ man how can you not love papabär?

Wonho - okay...Wonho... Wonho is the sweetest and the purest. His smile is beautiful and he is such a cutiepie! I love the way he talks how his lips are moving and his voice. It’s just so cute! But I got fooled by this again because he is so fucking rude on stage it isn’t funny anymore. And his high note during figther killed me!? How did I survive this!?!? And all the fans screamed so loud when he his part came or when he decided to show his abs (or when jooheon decided to show wonhos arms). And his arms are so buff? It looked like he has problems pulling the sleeves back down asdhsdkwhbd !!

Minhyuk - is a real sunshine! He smiled all the time and OH SHIT HE IS SO BEAUTIFUL! He always waved and smiled, walked around stage and also paid attention to the seating people! His voice is so beautiful, I feel in love with his voice once again. And let me tell you LEE MINHYUK IS THE SUN. He invented sunshine! He looked like a prince when he walked around on stage. And he talked a lot and was so exicted all the time!

Kihyun - this little man has such a strong voice. It’s unbelieveable! And also he is cute? But at the same time he is such a dork and funny. I love his smile even more, it’s so soooo bright! It looked like he had so much fun on stage. Kihyun is really one of the sweetest beans alive. He waved alot, walked around a lot and tried to make sure to notice everyone. But fuck his voice is a gift from heaven!

Hyungwon - ok when you read my tags I always call him cute and soft? When you see him on stage he is ten times softer! I couldn’t believe how cute and adorable he is! His smile is so precious and he is so beautiful. Also his H.One solo stage ?!!? I loved it!!! (no I won’t start to talk about From Zero because that killed me bye). And I have to say he is so tall!?!? SO TALL AND THIN ;; and he leaned against the member - also he did some aegyo at the beginning which was really cute ♥

Jooheon - okay everyone here comes my bias, my love, my everything. When I first saw him I wanted to cry. I also almost cried during Mirror when he rapped but I told myself to stay strong. Jooheon has a stage prescense like no other. He is so talented, so beautiful and sweet. I feel in love with his smile again and I’m so happy that I could saw him live ♥ I almost died when he was about to take off his jacket and I was afraid he wanted to show his arms. I just love him. Is there anything he can’t do? He can sing, dance, rap, is cute... ;;

Changkyun - he is so adorable. Hearing his low voice all the time...hearing him rapping... just wow. Whenever his part came up he has some...special way with it? It’s hard to explain it but he goes all in, it’s so amazing. He also walked a lot in english and said so many sweet words which makes every Monbebe heart melt. And his smile is so cute :c how can you not love his beautiful smile? CHANGKYUN IS SO SO SOOOOO AMAZING AND HE IS RUINING MY BIAS LIST CAN HE PLEASE STOP?!?! THANK YOU!

The concert itself was amazing for me! Sometimes I couldn’t see anything but then there were times were I could see all of them sooo soo good! I wore heels this day because otherwise I would only have seen some heads :/. Also all their voices were so beautiful! So...so real!? I stood there like ‘wow...JUST WOW’. Until now I have no words how beautiful they sounded. And I couln’t believe that they are real, that they are like 5 meters away from me and...breath! This is still so unreal to me ashdlsdjdh. I almost cried during Mirror because of JooKi is so amazng and powerful. The members also talked a lot in german and it sounded really good! ♥ The only bad thing was that I couldn’t enjoy all this with Lime and U. :c we got seperated after some time and it was almost impossible to get back to them. The crowd was so loud and cheered for them, sang along their songs and it was really great!  ♥ But in the end I was almost deaf, I could barely walk the 200 meters back to our hotel and my throat hurts but it was all worth it.

But let me tell you some other shit which happened as well. First of all, it was forbidden to sleep at the hall. It’s dangerous and you can get sick. In the facebook-group for the concert some of the...organzier? said ‘don’t sleep at the hall, the security will send you away !!!’. And what happened? They mad an unoffical numbering and the fans had to stay outside the hall, while it rained and in the mud from 2am till 10am. And they told them ‘yeah when you go away you will get a lower number’. So a lot of fans spend 8 hours! in the mud and rain because of this shit (yeah it’s their own decision but first saying ‘no don’t stay outside it’s dangerous’ to ‘you have to wait 8 hours’ it’s shitty?). When I remember correctly some fans asked them if they could wait somewhere where they are protected from the rain and the security? ‘No you have to stay there and there, otherwise you will lose your spot’. Also I read a lot about bad experience with the security from Tempodrom, regarding the High Touch and the Photo with MX. :/ they treated the fans really bad and it seems like they were also not really nice to the members.

Also it was forbidden to take photos or record a video during the concert, that’s why I haven’t post any pictures yet!

AND SOMETHING ELSE WHICH IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR ME....

THANK YOU @kihyunslips and @youngsuisreal FOR THESE THREE BEAUTIFUL DAYS. Really I’m so happy that we spend these days together and I’M JUST SO FUCKIGN HAPPY I COULD CRY?!?! and I’m sorry that I got mad at the public transport in Berlin but this shit annoyed me so much ://. As I said, next time we look for some friends in Berlin lol. And I’m sorry Lime when I hurt your hand from squeezing it too much and thank you that you gave me your cardgian when I was about to freeze to death. ♥ and for the prestens, I still want to buy you a house because of that :c  i love you ♥ Thank you U for shielding me from this girl which leaned against me all the time and holding the umbrella! ♥
