When I shot this picture in 2012, I would never imagine that I’d see so many people getting inspiration from it. Advertising, profile pictures, professional photographers and whatever you could imagine I’d see this image reproduced in each ones own way of interpretation. The model is Ismael Lo for the project My Hidden Ego. The picture is not made with photoshop but real. He wanted to be somebody else, so I tear a piece of magazine with a portrait of Ewan McGregor and I placed it in front Ismael’s face and shot it. There is an immense power that heals everything and it is love, love for life, the altruism, the strength of positive thinking. We humans are not born to be segregated. This slowly makes us get sick and die. From now on, try to think positive things for at least 5 minutes of your day. Send a nice thought to someone you love or write them a special message. Let’s try to stop the chain from sending only numbers of the dead, of the infections, of the sick, this will only increase the bad energy. Think of the good times with the people we love and imagine going back to those moments. The strength of love and the hormones of happiness that will be released into you will be the medicine that will help us all get out of this moment. This is my wish for you all.
