A model is a simplified representation of a complex system or concept. In many fields, models are used to understand or predict how something works, or to simulate or manipulate it in a controlled way.

In the context of computer science and artificial intelligence, a model is often a mathematical or computational construct that can be trained on data to perform a specific task.
