Whether I ship it or not

Yes!!! I'm all in for the ladies! But, and this is crucial, not if they're "only" there as throw-in background pairing for the main m/m ship. Don't get me wrong, MitoTouka can coexist with other Founders ships of course, but then give them some development and actual personalities and don't just pair the spares so everyrthing matches etc.

Why I ship it or not

...Because they're the only two named female characters from the Founders Era? But also because Mito has such a super important role in canon and therefore deserves ALL the fics about her, and Touka grew up with Hashirama and Tobirama and therefore deserves to get away from them for a while <3 Also they should get to destroy things/enemies/sparring partners/each other together

My opinion on their canon potential (chemistry, canon interactions, etc)

Which ones 😭😭😭 (I do think they probably would've had a lot of interactions based on their close proximity to Hashirama alone)

My opinion on fanon interpretations/fandom around it (Favorite widespread hcs, pet-peeves, etc)

As mentioned above, I don't like it when either of them are randomly paired off in the background. Mito as evil/jealous/etc. wife sucks imo, but I actually haven't seen that take around recently, thankfully. Or maybe I just read really selectively. I love it when Touka and/or Mito are RIPPED and can casually benchpress people <3 Also Mito should get to go apeshit more often, I LOVE the fics where she does

Full disclosure: I haven't written Mito/Touka before, BUT I wrote Mito/Touka/female!Izuna, which counts, right?! :D
