so to elaborate on my answer to your poll - I don't really 'have' per se a proper internet name, but shortenings of either my AO3 name or my tumblr name is most common, and 'mirror' is one I like (although obviously that is not my real name). & my tumblr url itself comes from my big bang fic I had finished just before creating my tumblr, the mirror of literature, and I like it!

i like it too!!! "mirrorofliterature" always makes me think of how fanfic can be a mirror of literature — sometimes a funhouse mirror but in the best way — and Mirror is such a cute internet name ❤️❤️

Thinking about Mirror! Fen again, and I wanna expand on my current feelings and thoughts about him. Firstly, I wanna discuss this “Mirror Herd.” They’re not total opposites, like they aren’t all cruel and mean to each other. Instead, they’re still incredibly protective and kind towards their own. However, they’re actively aggressive and hostile towards all outsiders. Fen’s (canon Fen’s) herd was wary of outsiders because there have been times in history where there have been people who have tried to hurt or take advantage of them. However, if they came across kind travelers or people in need they’d be happy to trade or provide help. They just had a desire to keep to themselves and live by their own customs. Mirror’s herd, on the other hand, was completely suspicious of any outsiders. He was raised to believe that outsiders are hateful and greedy. They kill the earth, they steal children, they’ll use you and hurt you if they stand to gain anything at all. Usually the adults would just scare outsiders off, but there were times where they’d severely hurt people who are too persistent (mainly as a precaution, but also to serve as a warning). So when M was attacked and robbed after losing his herd to completely solidified everything he’d been told. It left him feeling constantly on edge and like a sheep in a wolf’s den, so he’d done everything he can to become one of the wolves. Onto some character stuff, Mirror still loves his herd very deeply. He still loves to tend plants and grow his own ingredients, it’s just he uses them for poisons and toxins instead of helpful potions. However, he doesn’t often meditate or participate in proper self care. Unlike Fen he’s not very at peace with his own thoughts. He always needs to be working on something, distracting his mind, because if he’s not he’ll crisis himself into a curled up ball on the floor cowering and crying and wondering why the world had to be so cruel to him. But that’s like, a big thing I haven’t touched on so much with Mirror. He’s really pitiful. He’s a bad person, but his intimidating persona is really just skin deep. Yes, he’s very dangerous, but emotionally he’s just a sad sad man who wants to be able to trust ANYONE. All he wants is one place where he can feel safe and one person he can feel safe around. Someone who will love him and who he can love, someone who will take care of him and treat him with kindness without expecting anything but kindness back. And if he found that person he’d do ANYTHING for them. To an unhealthy extent. Because he’d be so so scared of losing them because for all he knows that person might be the only trustworthy person in the whole wide world. He’s the kind of villain who would give up villainy so, SO quickly if he weren’t constantly lashing out at society like a wounded, starving animal in a dirty cage.
