This is the last of my fnaf backlog stuff for now. I'd need to scour some older sketchbooks for more. Although I've been messing with colors, so that might be something I could share.

So I wanted to try my hand at redesigning some fnaf characters. I just didn't like how hideous they were for something that should be designed to be endearing to kids.

Details under the read more to avoid clutter.

My mom saw me draw Ballora once(not knowing it's fnaf), and asked me to draw more for her. So these are a couple of the ones she requested. I'm not sure why she was so fixated on multiple ballerina pictures. Anyway, I didn't like how...scantily clad... Ballora looked. So I gave her a more family friendly outfit.

I don't quite like the lore surrounding Ennard, so I just gave him his own design, rather than be an amalgamation of other animatronics. Molten Freddy/the Blob/Tangle can fill that role without Ennard. I've been workshopping an idea where each member of the Afton family has an animatronic that is meant to replace them in some twisted fantasy William concocted, via some type of soul stealing/remnant/haunting situation. Ennard is basically hunting for Mike specifically.

The puppet was a hard one to pin down. I liked multiple different design option. Until I just went with multiple. There's the Marionette, the Mannequin, and Poppet. All variations of the puppet. They gave me pierrot clown vibes, due to the black/white color scheme.

Ballora has four minireenas, each themed after an emotion. Joy, Gloom, Fury, and Awe. I figured it would give them more personality than they have in-game.

I've changed Circus Baby's name to Circee, because I don't like her canon name. She also seemed underdressed, so I gave her a more harlequin inspired look. I repurposed Balloon Boy, DD, and JJ to be her bidy babs for the sake of streamlining. It's a more efficient use of resources. I figured it was only fair that they all got actual names too.

Trying to keep marketing in mind, I figured it would make sense for BB to be "the boy", DD to be "the girl", and didn't want JJ to upset that balance and left JJ ambiguous. Not necessarily even nonbinary. Just whatever gender any individual deems fit. Poppet is actually the same way. They're just robots. FazEnt isn't committing to anything.

SL was built to kill Michael

Ok so, let me start by saying that I am a new fan. I've watched a lot of stuff and I'd like to say I'm quite knowledgeable in the lore by now, but if there's something I'm missing I apologize.

That said.

Sister Location takes place in a rental underground structure, Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. This would suggest that the animatronics don't perform there, and therefore wouldn't need that much space. Plus, if you're going to rent animatronics in an attempt to collect children's souls, I don't think it's a very intelligent move to only have ONE of each. The more copies, the better, no?

Unless it was never meant to be a storage space for a rental company.

SL feels like a maze. Physically, when you have to make your way through Ballora Gallery and Funtime Auditorium. Mentally, when you have to fix/dismantle animatronics, or when you're trapped in the suit. Psychologically, when HandUnit and Circus Baby start giving you completely opposite directions and you have to decide who to trust.

But the thing is, if you trust HandUnit, you die during Night 2(I think), when you try to cross Ballora Gallery. If you trust Baby, you die in the Scooper Room. Even if you don't follow Baby's directions during that last part, Ennard finds you anyway. Contrary to most of the other games, this one does not let you leave alive, no matter how you play it (even in PS the player theoretically has a choice to remain or walk away, as we know from Henry's "There was a way out planned for you etc.").

But thing is, you play as Michael. You killed your own brother, albeit accidentally. You killed your father's son. And, if I'm not wrong, SL doesn't take place that long after FNAF4.

SL is not a rental company. It's the slowest, most meticulously planned out and most painful revenge Afton could take on Michael.

FNaF SL general headcanons

I headcanon Ennard as his own being in this one but can also write him as a mixture of everyone.

Ennard

They just watch and don't know how to interact with anyone, sometimes he talks to Lolbit but that's rare

He is pretty shy actually

Steals a lot of random stuff from guests, doesn't even matter what they have they will try to get it

Drinks a lot of energy drinks and is everytime disappointed it doesn't give him more energy

Circus Baby

She's very sozial but sometimes she doesn't even leave her stage, she can be moody

Can be sassy but also knows when to stop it

Of course she loves cake and ice cream, old habits die hard

Tends to steal the bracelets of gueast and wears them when alone

She hangs a lot around Foxy and gossip with them

Ballora & Minireena

A true mother, always calm but once mad everyone runs

She cares for the Minireenas like they are her children

Scolds them when they steal stuff from the guests or cause chaos once again

She loves to drink strawberry and vanilla tea, especially in winter

Funtime Foxy

He is a very outgoing animatronic

Doesn't matter who it is they can be friends with them

They get quickly mad when someone messes with their stage though

Loves to drink juice but he needs it to look fancy

Collects all kinds of bows and other accessories but never really wears them

Funtime Freddy & Bon-Bon

Extroverted as fuck dude

Bon-Bon is the only thing holding him back from talking 24/7

He acts with Bon-Bon like a older sibling

Loves candies of all kinds, but mostly the both of them like fruity ones

Loves pranks no matter who is getting pranked

Lolbit

Is really playful but has no idea how a normal conversation works

Loves to prank the other animatronics by fucking with their tech or by playing meme sounds

They are Foxy's sibling but have a wierd relationship, they like Foxy and love to annoy them but Foxy seemingly hates them, but they don't care about that

Bonnet

She tends to daydream a lot and is very sozial

She's got deep insecurities tho but makes up for that through talking with others

Bon-Bon and her act like siblings but won't always talk with each other

She's got at least a dozen hairbands from the guests/night guards and sometimes she binds them around her ears
