Story Anon here. Would you say Yudai, Wataru and Sakumo are all roughly around the same age? Kinda need to know for reasons.

Hello again, Story Anon! :) Good question. In a way, your statement is partially correct, just with a few years in-between. 

Basically:

Sakumo is the oldest, being 28 in the year of the kids (Tomoko, Kei, Obito, Rin, and Kakashi) all being born. 

Judai is in the middle, being 27.

Finally, Wataru is the youngest of the three, being 25.

Additional note here, Miyako is 23 and Hikari 24 at this time.

But for the sake of consistency, especially since your oneshot had me excited, this is the timeline I have down in my notes for the characters. Just note that most of this is for Judai, and I’m not sure on stuff about Wataru. If you have questions on Wataru, I’ll direct you to Lang:

Let’s say right now that Canon (with Team Minato plus Tomoko being 26 and Naruto being 12 at the beginning of Part 1 of the original Manga/Anime) would be 0 Years. 

Before Canon is BC and During Canon is DC. 

For the sake of not making this too long or spoiler-y, I’m only going in BC.

Edit: Whoops, some of the timeline dates added up wrong, so here’s the corrected version!

42 BC: Team “Hero” (Jim, Judai and O’Brien) all come together when they’re 11.

38 BC: Judai meets and becomes friends with Wataru. (Judai is 15, Wataru 13)

36 BC: Judai becomes a Jounin at age 17, getting his reputation as the “Unscathed Hero” a few months into his new role.

35 BC: Judai meets Sakumo. (Judai is 18, Sakumo is 19)

34 BC: Slight spoilers for Judai’s Interlude, but Johan dies when Judai is 19, starting Judai’s years of distance, where he only really interacts with his team and the Hokage.

30 BC: Judai meets Hikari for the first time while still in service during the Second Shinobi World War, establishing a quiet friendship shared to no one else but his team, previewed in Hikari’s Interlude in CP. This takes place around the exact same time as the Canine Warriors in CYB. 

At this time, Judai is 23, Hikari is 20, Sakumo is 24, Wataru is 21, and Miyako is 19.

27 BC: Judai and Hikari start dating near the end of the war, with Judai retiring around the middle of the year. (Judai is 26, and Hikari is 23)

26 BC: Judai and Hikari soon share a private marriage when they’re 27 and 24 respectively, opening up Nagareboshi Cafe and having Tomoko in September. 

20 BC: Tomoko and Kei meet for the first time when they’re both six, resulting in Judai reuniting with Wataru in that same year.

Judai is 33, Wataru 31, Sakumo 34, Hikari 30, and Miyako 29.

18 BC: Judai reunites with Sakumo, only for the failed mission to happen and for Wataru to break his leg on a border mission (note that the original CYB Wataru died at this time, but S&S Wataru was able to safely get out of the border post before it was attacked as a result of his leg). Tomoko’s concert ensues to save Sakumo near the end of this year. 

Kakashi, Rin, and Tomoko are 8

Judai is 35 and Hikari is 32

Miyako is 31, and Wataru is 33

Kei and Obito are 9

Hayate is 6 

Sakumo is 36

I didn't vote for Minato in that poll, but wow, I'm glad he won. This was an awesome manga. I'm so happy that Kushina featured so prominently. This was a MinaKushi one-shot all the way!

It was kinda expected that for those who voted for Kushina, even if she didn't make it in the top 10, would still get something out of the oneshot manga if Minato won. I wouldn't even be surprised if they had switched their votes to Minato when the partial results came in and he was in the top spot. Because either way, Minato/Kushina supporters would win 😁

It was also interesting to see Minato's teammates in the manga. Many assumed that the other guy in his team was Teuchi, but the manga definitely clarified that hehe
