During an interview, the manor guests suddenly get a question about you.

this is def an experimental format!! i got this idea while reading the character letters. in the POV of an unknown interviewer (not reader). reader uses they/them.

Q. Could you describe your relationship with (Y/N)?

🔗 Ada - "Yes, that's my lover. I would say our relationship falls within the typical scope of that sort of thing. Of course, I believe we share something special, but everyone does when they're in love, don't they?" She covers all her bases in one decisive breath, leaving little room for me to comment.

⚰️ Aesop sits perfectly upright, fingers threaded at his knees. His eyes drift to the side and he seems to begin speaking mid-thought. "I had... cautioned myself not to upset their perception of me," he explains. "But they pried, and stayed, regardless of what they found... For that, I'm grateful."

📰 Alice has kept a sharp eye on me the entire time, but it's at this question that she drops the formalities. "I wasn't aware you would be prying into my personal affairs. Where did you learn that name?" Her frankness pins me in place. For some reason, I end up apologizing.

🔮 Eli can't help a sheepish smile from blooming across his face. "Well, truthfully... I don't use this term lightly, but they might be the love of my life." He has been consistently grounded with his responses, so I'm surprised to catch him flustered, however subtle it is. Personally, I'm touched.

❤️‍🩹 Emil considers for a moment. He doesn't meet me in the eye, instead pinning his gaze on nowhere in particular. A faint smile ghosts his lips. After a while, he answers, simply, "Safe."

💉 Emily's hands are folded neatly on her lap. At the mention of that name, her shoulders tense, but she otherwise maintains her composure. "Someone I trust." Her answer is vague and cautious, but acceptable. I'll try to uncover a deeper meaning behind that 'trust'.

🌪️ Ithaqua - "Mine." He is curt and to the point. Yours? I echo, hoping he'll elaborate. His head tilts to the side, and while I can't see the face behind his mask, a sense of dread suddenly overcomes me. I decide not to press further.

✂️ Jack stretches out his hand of blades, flexing each finger in front of him. I can't deny the cold sweat that drips down my spine just by being in his presence. "May I respond with a question of my own?" he says to me. "Suppose a butterfly loses its way, and winds up caught in a spider's web. Wouldn't you agree that the more it writhes and struggles, the more exhilarated the spider becomes?" I don't have the courage to hear out the rest of this analogy.

🍀 Lucky - "I've always been known as a pretty lucky guy, but the luckiest day of my life was when I met them! I remember it was the—" He drags me down a long-winded story about their life together. I get the idea. Eventually I'm forced to cut him off.

🩰 Margaretha twirls a curl of hair, a meek blush dusting her cheeks. "Have you ever been in love before? You're never prepared for the magic of it all. I feel a new rush with them everyday. I know, realistically, all good things come to an end, so I tried to remind myself to expect the worst, but they've proven over and over that... I'll never feel safer than in their arms." After rambling for some time, a look of surprise flashes across her face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go off like that. Oh, but I've just never met someone who feels so much like true love before."

🔫 Martha doesn't miss a beat. "Sorry, I don't know anyone by that name." I look down to double-check the name written in her file. Her watchful gaze follows my line of sight. Are you sure? I try. "Must've been some confusion somewhere," she insists. The next day, I realize all my files on her and (Y/N) have gone missing.

🪡 Matthias - "Wh-What?" he starts, but keeps going before I can repeat the question. "Oh, uh, an ally, I guess." Well, I gathered that much. When I press for more details, his head sinks low, fingers grasping at the armrest. "I don't know what they saw in me. Was it out of pity?"

🤹 Mike's eyes light up and he blinds me with a contagious smile. "(Y/N)'s a sneaky one, and I mean it—they've got me under the trickiest spell of all. Guess what happens every time I think about them?" Egged on by his grin, I take the bait. You get lovesick? I guess. Suddenly, he tosses a handful of butterfly glitter in my face. "I get butterflies!" Very funny, I sigh, exasperated with these carnies. Why did he have that on hand in the first place?

🧲 Norton leans back in his chair, scowling. "What's that got to do with anything?" He snaps a couple times in my face, urging me to "stay on topic." It's hard to say if this question struck a nerve, as he's been uncooperative for most of this interview, but my suspicions point me to prod further. After all, it'd have been much easier if he just said he didn't know them.

🦋 Vera's face contorts into a leery, hostile glower. "Why do you ask that?" Before I can say anything to mitigate the rising tension, she catches herself, and her expression softens slightly. "I'm sorry. That's... someone quite dear to me, so your question took me by surprise."

🐍 Yidhra's follower goes pale, clearly unnerved. "She won't answer that," she tells me through shallow breaths. "Th-This isn't my place to say, but I'd advise you not to involve yourself with that person." As if on cue, I get a sensation I can only describe as a hand slowly wrapping around my neck. It disappears when I move to scratch it. Must've been my imagination.

Please note this does not mean I won’t write for Murro. I just didn’t feel like writing for him for this and I didn’t want to list out all the names.

Mike Morton (Acrobat)

He’d probably just try to mess with you a bit more than others. Not in a mean way, just stuff like sneaking up and scaring you if you’re fine with it.

He might try to get you to laugh more, and when you do, it seems like he’s captivated by it as he just smiles and laughs as well.

He’s a case where his signs of affection might be harder to catch despite his lack of subtlety, since they might line up pretty close with how he normally acts.

However, in times where the more subtle signs show, like his attention being caught in a conversation by your name being mentioned, or him just smiling as he sits in silence beside you, others can really catch onto his feelings for you, even if you don’t.

Others might try to get involved, and that’d likely be where his attempts at showing his affection would become more obvious, whether it’s from taking their advice or just trying to avoid them getting involved in the situation.

In the end, while his attempts at affection might not be the most obvious, there is one moment where it is undeniable. That moment is when he finally knocks on your door with an uncharacteristic feeling of nervousness, and finally confesses to you when you open it.

Margaretha Zelle (Female Dancer)

Compared to Mike, her forms of affection are a bit more obvious, despite them also being more on the subtle side.

She’d do small things to see you happy, like gently holding your hand if you seem upset, or telling you little stories she picked up over time.

She’d also stay around you more. If you want to talk? She’d love to talk with you and hear your voice. If you didn’t want to? She’s fine with that as well and finds the silence quite comfortable.

She might also help you in little ways. Stuff like helping straighten your outfit or, if you wear it, helping with your makeup.

Her confession would be a simple one. Either her pulling you to the side or finding you alone and finally telling you, or leaving a little note from her for you to find that explains her feelings in a place where you could locate it without much difficulty.

Joker (Weeping Clown)

In a similar fashion to Margaretha, he also would like staying around you more, but it would lead to him more following you around quite a bit if you were comfortable with it.

He might try to do smaller things to try to convey his feelings, though his signs would also be subtle like the previous two.

He’d do things like stay closer to you than others and talking with you more. Sometimes even offering for you to try his hobbies or for him to try yours. Just small acts of quality time.

While you may not pick up on his differences in behavior as something done out of romantic interest, or just brush it off as unlikely if you do suspect it, others around the both of you might notice it easier.

Once he finally decides to confess, he will be absolutely nervous. While he might confess to your face, there is also a decent chance he might decide to write down his confession and either hand it do you face-to-face or just leave it where he’ll know you’ll find it.

Joker (Smiley Face)

He might try to be more forward in showing affection than the others, though it could result in him getting flustered at the last minute when attempting it.

Similar to his Survivor counterpart, he might try to show affection through quality time such as sharing hobbies or just sticking around you from time to time.

In these types of moments, his guard is more lowered and he might seem more relaxed and even a little bit on the shyer or more nervous side at times. If he ever falls asleep while the two of you are alone, he will absolutely deny it, but you don’t even have to see his blushing to know that he is and that he’s very aware he did.

Once again in a fashion similar to Weeping Clown, his difference in actions have a good chance of being picked up on, though have a possibility be brushed off as not out of romantic interest.

He would likely confess face-to-face, though with a bit of nervousness. He’d probably try to gather the motivation and will needed and then ask for you to step to the side with him, where he’d finally confess.

Violetta (Soul Weaver)

Another one that’s on the less subtle side, though could still be seen as platonic.

She’d like making and giving you little stitched up gifts, but if you weren’t comfortable with that, she’d instead offer to help with patching clothing or fabric items, maybe even teaching you how to sew if you don’t know or only know certain things.

Sharing interests or just relaxing around each other would be the type of things she’d enjoy. Whether it be through talking about those interests or actually partaking in them if they are a hobby or something such as a book, she’d likely find them interesting and like talking about them with you or hearing you talk about them.

Similar to the previous characters, others might pick up on her romantic intentions easier than you, since a lot of her actions could be seen or brushed off as platonic.

When she finally confesses, it is either through a conversation with you, or through a little piece of paper pinned to a doll that has her confession written on it, likely placed somewhere you’ll find it easier, such as a desk.

What are my IDV ships?

Aight, I’m bored, so here, I’m gonna share some of my favorite Identity V ships! Survivor Edition

1. Naib x Martha - They’re just so cute together, and it lowkey seems like the game ships these dummies too.

2a. Kevin x Helena - Kevin would be super protective over Helena, since she is blind, but at the same time, he lost his past love, and wants to protect the girls as much as he can, making it seem like he’s a 'simp’, ya know?

2b. Andrew x Helena - It just seems like a soft, yet protective relationship. They both are used to the darkness, and Helena could reintroduce Andrew back into the “fun” parts of life, not just death and digging.

3. Murro x Patricia - I get it, there’s not very many Murro ships. But, this one is super cute to me, since they have similar backstories. Patricia lost her mother and was shunned from her society, when Murro had really bad guardianship and is somewhat shunned from society.

4. William x Tracy - Smart smoll x Jock toll, what else do I have to say?

5. Norton x Emily - This would be cute, since Emily would care for Norton’s scars if they started to hurt again, and Norton seems like an overprotective guy. Plus, ya know, if the survivors were all in the same manor at the same time, he would probably beat up Freddy Riley. Just an idea.

6. Ganji x Demi - Okay, this is a rare one. It’s just so CUTE! Ganji being the grouchy sports dude who just melts when Demi holds him, or even the other way around sometimes! It’s just very comforting to me.

7a. Luca x Annie - Another rare one! Both of these dorks like to build, probably have trust issues(which they can care for eachothers trust issues) and it makes sense. Annie could care for Luca during his flashbacks or panic attacks, and Luca could help Annie if she’s stuck in a creative block.

7b. Lucky Guy x Annie - Okay, hear me out. The skills. Work. PERFECT together. Along with that, I see Lucky as a shyer, friendly guy, and Annie as a hyperactive sweetheart. Annie would care for Lucky, and he would care back in his own simple ways.

8. Eli x Emma - This one is semi-popular over the web. I know, I know, Eli’s ‘engaged’ to Gertrude, but what if she left him when he got to the manor, so they didn’t have to deal with the sadness of Eli possibly dying, or Gertrude died. We don’t know much about this relationship, so- please respect my opinion, and I’ll respect yours. Moving on, this ship is just..so cute.

9. Melly x Vera(Chloe) - VERY. Very rare. First of all, its cute(i keep saying this HAH). Second of all, Melly could give Vera pollenated flowers and/or honey for her to use in her perfumes, and Vera’s perfumes could attract more bees.

10a. Victor x Margaretha - Marg has been through so many toxic relationships, then theres just- this 6″5- ball of sunshine- Aaa, its just so cute!

10b. Edgar x Margaretha - Both creative beings, they just seem they’d click well. Probably be snotty to eachother at first, but soon warm up to eachother, their relationship being a Semi-rival to lovers thing. Plus I just love the idea of Edgar teaching Margie to paint, then Margie teaching Edgar to dance more!

10c. Mike x Margaretha - Last margaretha one, I promise. I understand this ship/relationship may have some intense and honestly concerning discourse, between if they’re enemies or side-lovers, but sometimes this ship is just comforting to me! They’d probably do little shows together, and maybe even dress up in old costumes just for the heck of it, ya know?

Yep. So those are my survivor ships! I’ll be doing a Hunter one later, but anyway- enjoy!

when you kiss mike, the only thing you can think about is popcorn. the kind that’s overpriced and tastes mediocre at a carnival. it's not necessarily about the popcorn, just about the feeling of being in a light carnival.

his favorite types of kisses are the ones where he’s doing some kind of performance. maybe practicing a new routine, where he adds a kiss into it. he loves surprising you with smooches.

mike feels like dancing in the rain. with the loud splashing as you both jump in puddles and giggle until you're out of breath. he's the feeling of adrenaline rushing through your veins as you sprint to his chair.

he's like a cup of coffee, it fills you with an unbreakable spirits and his lips feel just the same. his kisses don't stop once they start. drowning in the bright colors that adorn him. he is the brightest color you could ever see.

he tastes like the sweetest candy you've ever tasted. it's so sweet it stings your mouth, just a bit. the melting sensation of caramel is like his kisses.

edgar tastes regal. his lips, his breathe, his movement, all resembles his royal demeanor he hangs so highly on his head.

if you could taste a color, he'd taste like a rich gold. so tantalizingly blinding, and yet he gives this beautiful feeling away. free for you to comb through every night and day.

even though he tastes like diamond rings, there's a faint sip of blood, everlasting on his lips. like he's bitten his lips so much the blood had dried, and stayed forever. its so metallic, like a penny, or some type of copper.

he never initiates kisses. he'll huff and puff, but never pull away when you drag him in for one. he believes he's too good to initiate that kind of thing. but maybe, if you make him jealous, he might reverse the roles on you.

after he's been painting for a while, he tastes like paint. even if he hasn't put his brush near his mouth. the smell and taste is inescapable around him.

margaretha never thought she would freely kiss someone after her husband. in fact, she feared the day it would come. the idea of moving on, despite how freeing it felt, still scared her to her core.

of course, she could never forget about joker. no, he would occupy her mind for much longer after she left the circus. would it be him that would welcome her into a new loving world?

no. it wasn't him. it was you. you showed her a softer world, one that would accept her regardless of the past she had once overcome. you were the softest person to her, and kissing was her way of thanking.

she, similar to mike, tastes distinctly of carnival popcorn. unlike mike, she tastes like the good kind, the kind you spend an extra five dollars to get the good butter and salt.

when you kiss, you're reminded of the bonds once built, crashing down. but not in a bad way. in a freeing sort of way.

she is the pinnacle of freedom, after all.

eli tastes like knowledge. like the books you buy and tear into the second you get them. the books you stay up for hours reading.

he smells like older books, ones that haven't been touched as much. that feeling of being opened, and consumed again, once more. that feeling is what he reminds you of.

he missed his fiancé. he missed her so much. you can taste the longing on his lips. but the longing is no longer for her, no. the longing is for you, and you alone. he remembers the nights he ached for her touch, they feel like a foreign memory.

his love for her is just that. a foreign memory. just like the books he reads as much as he can.

in the best way to describe it, he tastes like a fine wine. the only alcohol he raises to his lips. the rich red kind, the kind you spent a hundred dollars on for just the bottle. he tastes like the feeling of swirling your glass, knowing what delicious tastes await for you.

he is a master of drinking and reading, of course.

Smiley x Reader

I love you no matter what

Whispering amongst the manor, their ears ring with excitement as their best friend a hunter now a survivor. (Y/N)’s shoes clicked and clacked while running down the hall, “Smiley- Smiley, SMILEYYYYY!” They jump then dive down letting the hunter catch them. But he then shifts to his survivor form and they both fall, “Ngh…Again with the tackling.”

“Go easy on him Hun.” Margaretha helps the two of them up, “U-Um Natalie- er Margaretha?” She nods. But her face starts to scrunch and she hugged him close, “I couldn’t see you! It’s not fair! I missed you so.” She hiccups.

Soon (Y/N) joined their older friend, “You were gone a-and we lost you and- then-“ they both sob while hugging him. Soon they calm down and sit with Smiley, “I miss sitting on your shoulder.” Margaretha bluntly says. “I missed picking you up.”

“Was I really that light?”

“You are a stick Smiley.” He pursed his lips, “I wouldn’t call myself a stick.”

“…..Jack is the exact shape as you.” The weeping clown just laughed at their words before hugging the two close. “Oh I’m just enthused to see you both safe, What of Mike?” Margaretha leans on him sadly.

“It’s just like I said in my letter to you. He glared at me with hatred.” Hugging his knee while the prosthetic leg laid beside him he just waved Mike off. “Sergi had it coming, he lost his reputation and the hubaloo was brought to its end…I just wish I had known.”

“You’re my best friend, I should’ve stayed beside you while I had the chance.” They both share a small bittersweet sentiment until their eyes land on (Y/N) who was busy leaning on Smiley.

“(Y/N) are you alright?”

That was the first coherent thought that went through Emma Woods’ mind when she woke up. She wasn’t in her own bed, or anywhere else she recognized, for that matter. The room she was in was completely barren, save for the bed she was in for some reason, a door, a TV, and a camera, which only caused more questions to spring into her mind.
