@izzyizumi Thank you for making me realize that these are, dramaturgically and visually, basically the same scenes, just mirrored. Toei, one day I'm gonna get you. (And one day I will capture every single scene in Kizuna that plays in front of a window. Windows are as good as the most used symbols in this movie.)

Wide establishment shots? Check.

Rain? Check.

Having Menoa face both of the boys while she reveals selective parts of her past/backstory/plan, telling them that only "they can help now" while being mysteriously ambiguous about it all? Check.

Taichi (always facing from right to left towards her) and Koushirou (always facing left to right towards her) being visibly taken aback by what they're hearing, doubting and/or despairing over what she is talking about and end up shocked to hear the "truth" (but for different reasons)? Check.

Agumon and Tentomon being depicted from above as the humans only being seen in "parts", making the mons appear to be smaller, more "insignificant"? Check.

The last batch, which I call the movie crew.

Wallace from the Digimon Hurricane Touchdown movie and Rolling Bubbles from the Powerpuff GIrls Z anime are voiced by Nami Miyahara. Miyahara doesn't voice anything for Sailor Moon or Precure, but I really enjoyed watching the Powerpuff Girls Z anime when it came out.

Cristina Vee voices Meiko from Digimon tri. and Sailor Mars in the Sailor Moon Crystal dub. Meiko seems to be in a lot of crime fighting roles. She's Ladybug and Homura from Magica Madoka as well!

Maki and Daigo were put together for the sake of Nishihime. Maki from Digimon tri. and Gelos from Hugtto Precure are voiced by Yuko Kaida. The irony here is Gelos was turned bad from betrayal... The ending of Hugtto shows her as a little girl having a fun childhood. If only Maki could be the same... Maki's dub Voice actress also does regina in the Dokidoki Precure dub. As a fun tidbit, her Bakumon's voice actress plays Masha in Tokyo Mew Mew!

Daigo from Digimon tri. and Kumata from the Mahou Tsukai Precure movie are both voiced by Daisuke Namikawa. Namikawa is actually in Hugtto as well voicing a teacher. But how can I pass up drawing Daigo as a Bear when his partner is Bearmon?

Menoa from Kizuna dub and Sailor Star Maker from the Crystal dub series are both voiced by Erika Harlacher. Morphomon in the dub actually shares her voice actor with Maki, so Morphomon is also Regina. hehe

Megumi Oogata plays both Rui/Lui/Louie from Digimon Adventure 02 The beginning and Sailor Uranus from the OG Sailor Moon series. Megumi does a lot of Magical series'. Ukkomon is played by Rie Kugimiya, which you may remember as Ikuto from Digimon Savers!

This was a fun little project for me. One that showed how much I grew too. Because I was intimidated by all the frills and skirts in the Magical GIrl costumes. Precure especially. But I over came my fears and managed to complete the project. ^^

Finally a real question!

Uh... not really? She comes in super mysterious with a ton of information and that combo doesn't really appeal to me. It is weird that she's meant to be seen as hot. There's a weird semi-sexual tension between her and Taichi that isn't all that necessary but is certainly a choice! She's supposed to be enigmatic and interesting, probably meant to be a little sexy too. It opens up a deeper conversation about Menoa's portrayal in Kizuna that would require another watch.

the Butterfree plush wasn't planned but I saw one when looking for butterfly stuffies to use as a reference, and just couldn't resist combining two of my hyper-fixations 😂

So, quick question: Do you ever thought headcanoning a birthday for Wallace, Menoa, Maki or Daigo?

(I'm curious because, i don't remember seeing many headcanons about the non-Adv/02 kids when it comes to birthdays...)

Hmm, you know, I never thought about it until I got this ask! I don't have specific-date headcanons for the Original 12, just star signs, so I can take a similar stab at it for the movie characters based on vibes and some of my Very Specific Thoughts about them:

Wallace - Easy! Gemini (late May - late June). Mostly because of the twins thing. But also, in the US, school starts in late August/early September, with the age cutoff for entering a grade being about the same time, which would make him perpetually one of the youngest in his class. I'm projecting a bit based on what I remember from early elementary school, but since kids that age will tease you for just about anything, I think being "the youngest" among his peers would cause him to try to act more mature than he really is, and (maybe) provide some rationale for all that inappropriate flirting he does :) I'm putting that out there only because I headcanon the exact opposite to be true for...

Menoa - Virgo (late August - late September). Conversely, Menoa is perpetually the oldest in her school year, causing her to form the belief about herself early on (coupled with her ability to excel academically and start to skip grades), that she really is more mature than those in her age group (she's not).

Daigo and Maki - Based on this Wikipedia article, I like the idea of giving them birthdays to match the Holy Beast their digimon represent (White Tiger for Baihumon and Yellow Dragon for Fanglongmon. Even though we don't know that that's what Bakumon would have Mega-evolved into, that's my digivolution headcanon). That places Daigo's birthday in autumn and Maki's in midsummer (again, according to Wikipedia). Additionally, the White Tiger is associated with the Metal element, and as I know from Sailor Moon, Venus is the planet of gold/metal (kinsei), making Daigo fit very neatly as a Libra (late September - late October), a star sign ruled by Venus. The Yellow Dragon is associated with the element of Earth, which is a bit trickier, since there's no "Earth" sign in the summer (though, I suppose Virgo technically is) nor one on the zodiac with a ruling planet of Earth. The closest we have is the Moon as a ruling planet... so Maki's a Virgo or a Cancer depending on which path you want to follow. I do like going the opposite and making her born in winter though... Capricorn (late December - late January), makes the most sense to me; I actually like that quite well for her serious, goal-oriented personality.

And while we're at it, Meiko! For my-own-personal-crest-headcanon reasons, she also has to be a Libra. The scales = balance = Mei-mei (to me).

I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this, but... There has been a trend in anime/animation in recent years that has a very particular female character archetype. It obviously has slight variations and you may not immediately make the connections, however. Let me list the similarities:

It has to be a female character.

They usually (but not always) have brown/red-ish hair, mostly longer, often seen with either a ponytail and/or a braid(s). Variations include pigtails and long(er) side bangs.

They have a very specific objective - and tend to be very, very obsessive about it, whether it's an actual person or another type of goal. Might sometimes include a saviour/God (or Satan) complex.

Their name (surname, family name or a nickname) has to start with the letter "M".

Notes: Made in just under 1 hour; 18~ clips so far (using mostly Kizuna and bits from 02′s 1st movie + Mugendramon arc.) It’s unlikely I’d actually finish this one, but if I did, it’d probably go through Koushiro’s various relationships with an emphasis on the O.T.P [KouTai] by end {but still showing significance of the others as well} (Possibly also throwing in some 2020!Koushiro but right now it’s mainly opening on Kizuna!Koushiro.)

Mostly I’m laughing because Suga Shikao’s also singing for the next/new GhostGame ending theme and I knew about this singer since like around that 2010+~ era {Holic anime started in 2006?~ but I got to it a bit Late/read manga first} and both these series are about Yokai stories... (And also Holic has a ton of “Butter-flys” imageries too, go figure)

Edit: And then GhostGame’s ended up being a quite fun end theme in comparison, go figure!! But I still want to finish this someday~
