Some of my favorite Nathaniel moments, a compilation;

I’m incredibly emo about this gen of MCL coming to an end.

So here’s some of my personal favorite moments from Nath’s route in UL and LL (I have admittedly yet to play him in HSL, sue me I was a Castiel girl until bad boy Nath in UL came on the scene.  I have a thing for snarky blondes...)

“A myth crumbles” the HOOT I let out when I read that.  Hilarity.  Amazing.  10/10.

Even Nath has his downsides LMAO.  Poor Angel, she just wanted to enjoy NCIS or something

Angel being absolutely thrown by this scenario took me out.  Amazing.  10/10

This dynamic also made me lose my shit.  Like poor Nath, he’s so emotionally stunted here and has no idea how to express his feelings, meanwhile Angel is just like “tough shit my guy” - too pissed off to even care.

Again, I actually really liked that in UL you could really talk back to your love interest without immediate caution about LoM dropping.  This to me feels realistic and helped with immersion into the story.  I, too, was sick of his excuses!

Also, Angel breaking out the full name - Yeeeesh Nath you done goofed!

THIS ENTIRE SEQUENCE BROKE ME EMOTIONALLY.

Like I am not one to cry at games most often, but this one, wheeew this one had me bawling.

Specifically when she screams when he hugs her, like she’s believed he’s not even there and his touch proves his existence.

WHEN I TELL YOU, I SOBBED WITH HER.  LIKE ME TOO GIRL.

This one just made me laugh so hard.

And finally, the one that REALLY broke me, after Angel throws the bouquet.

As if she’s throwing it to us, those who have followed along on her journey.

Adult Lysander headcanons? But plz don't tell me that he still lives in this village...

Hi Anon! Sorry for the delay. Personally, I have a couple of headcanons. They completely change the whole alternate life storyline anyway.

-> Lysander and Leigh should have sold the farm. Josianne might live with them for a while or they could buy a little house on the suburbs for her. There was another possibility as well. ( They could sell the farm and buy a flat for Lysander. Josiane could stay with Leigh and Rosa).

-> Lys would choose a field of study related to his interests ( literature/library science or maybe history. Sometimes I also see him as an educationalist), but he would also have to make ends meet somehow.

-> He would probably work part-time (of course remotely) ,correcting books and texts, because he has trained it to perfection.

( My personal headcanon- Lysander has an autism spectrum disorder).

-> Perhaps after a longer period of time Castiel could convince Lysander to join the Crowstorm, but I doubt he would agree to perform regularly on the stage.

-> He could write lyrics for the band , but he would try to stay anonymous and hide it anyway .

-> It is possible that he would sing at charity concerts time to time. Because of his mysteriousness, he would become popular among the fans.

-> If Candy decided to stay in a relationship with him. - He doesn't mind earning for the livelihood of both of them. He would also gladly fulfill her whims.

-> Even while living in the city, he would love to help animals. Perhaps he would volunteer in a shelter or adopt ill or abandoned rabbits.

My Favourite Castiel's Illustrations:

I have never been into Castiel too much, my lovometr with him has always been low cause I didn't know how to talk to him and didn't really care (I did not dislike him tho, I liked him but I found him annoying tbh). But now, when I was looking into his gallery, i realized that DAMN, this boy had horrible illus in HSL!!! It's actually sad, since he's the most popular one 😫 Of course it's only my opinion, but damn...... Like, DAMN....

He got his redemption later tho, because as his HSL arts are not really into my liking, his UL and LL illustrations... DAAAAAMN 🔥🔥🔥 Now he gets the best pieces, ngl... It was hard to settle for just so little of them, but yeah, I cannot just post his entire gallery there (I WISH). And when while making Nath's post I felt like y'all agree with me, now I just know our opinions probably gonna differ more since even I actually choosed these almost randomly, because there were too many good options 😭

Even tougher it was to choose my number one 😫 since I was just looking at them in pure admiration, apparently horny af. But I menaged!!!

Okay, maybe my reasons aren't that valid. The thing is, I'm actually not a fan of illustrations from this episode. I don't like any of them, there's something off for me about every single one of them except Cas's. Compared to others, it's a masterpiece and the only one among them that deserved to actually be the last illustration of UL.

It's just so pretty, and both Castiel and Candy look great on it, and the lighting and proportions are good! It's so comfortable to look at. It's perfect. Not a single thing I could complain about (and I complain about illustrations from UL episode 20 A LOT)

I also love every single nsfw illustration with him (okay, not the one from HSL but they really did him dirty in HSL, in the wrong way) but I decided not to post them here cause it's obvious ;p

I have thoughts about *that* storyline in Love Life

Friends, Romans, Candy-ladies, lend me your ears; I’m about to write a damn essay lol.

It’s been a hot minute, so I think we can all safely dissect [LARGE INHALE] the cheating storyline.

Off the bat, I want to make it clear that I do not vibe with having the option to cheat on your partner.  Not really sure why BeeMov and ChiNo decided to go that route, but they did. Some people enjoyed the choice or the change in pace, which is valid.  It definitely shook things up. Personally, not my cup of tea so I didn't follow that path.

But my favorite route in Love Life is Nath’s (shocker I know), and I have some thoughts, feelings and opinions.

[Here’s where I go off the rails.]

Alright, so the developers wanted a cheating storyline.  Fine, sure, it raises the stakes.  I can see that much.

But when it comes to who the infidelity was offered up with, I have some things to say.

The fact that the option we got for our baited infidelity was Nath's pseudo-father figure is so incredibly out of pocket I almost have to respect the ballsy move.  But it also made, in my opinion, the emotional impact of such a choice different depending on your chosen Love Interest - aka Nath’s circumstances vs everyone else’s.

Because let’s be real - in the other routes, Eric is just Some Guy™ who happens to be the investigative partner/aforementioned pseudo-father figure with your high school friend.  But your Love Interest doesn’t really know him beyond that.

On Nath’s route, he’s your boyfriend’s investigative partner/aforementioned pseudo-father figure.

No other route gets such a personal connection to the person participating in the infidelity.  

Had BeeMov done something like introducing a different person per route who was an option to stray from your partner with, who each had a personal connection to that love interest (See, Zach for Castiel or [omg I just thought of this] Ranata for Priya) - that would make the emotional impact of the infidelity itself even and/or equal throughout the love interests, not just so emotionally devastating for just Nath alone.

I also don’t really think we got enough time with Eric to really fall for him beyond surface level (again, just my opinion), but with Nath’s route it’s at least a tiny bit more plausible in the scope of that story.  This is a person that our Candy would’ve conceivably spent more time with than we saw in the Episodes because of Eric’s close relationship with Nath.  I can buy there being more behind the scenes feelings developing in that context, but with everyone else, it just feels rather surface level.

Which, to be fair, is plausible as well as people do cheat on their partners for petty, surface level reasons, but in a game like this where we’ve spent so much time with our respective LIs, personally I’d need a little more weight to make it plausible.

All this to say Nath continues to be the one to get the most devastating storylines (I have seen the screen shots of his reaction when he finds out the player cheats and is leaving him for Eric and its DEVASTATING).

Just some thoughts, I’d be interested to hear others on it.

On Castiel calling us by our nickname (canon)

* this post will mention the very last episode of love life so if you don't want to see any spoilers do not read:) i will not go into too much details tho.

Joining the international mcl fandom, I only recently learned that during HSL, Castiel calls Candy "little girl" in english, which is supposed to be a translation of "fillette".

For some reasons the meaning feels different to me. I guess there is no equivalent in english so it's understandable, but as someone who speak both languages, "little girl" doesn't hit the same way (that's just my opinion!).

Fillette is the contraction of fille (= girl) and the suffix -ette which is used for feminine nouns and/or to denote something relatively small often in a cute way. Fillette can be both a form of mockery and affection, and it perfectly encapsulates Castiel's love language in HSL imo.

"Are you sure about this, fillette?" _ HSL episode 39

(by the way there is one occurrence of Ezarel calling us fillette in Eldarya which made me soft)

In the wedding episode he also calls us "fillette" twice, which I think was translated by "girl" in english, instead of "little girl".

I'm not sure if it was that obvious in other versions of the game but he called us by our old nickname (old because he didn't use it very often during CL/LL, probably because we're grown adult now, it's much more associated with HSL), so it felt very special to hear it again from him.

"Well, i guess I am ! You've really made a new man out of me, fillette..." _ LL episode 16

The simple use of this nickname means so much here. He's probably reminiscing meeting you in high school.

"Come here, fillette." _ LL episode 16

And here it is, your nickname is Castiel's very last word in the entire game <3

I hate to be that person who is never satisfied with anything... (not true, I love being that person) and now with AL armin it bugs me how organic everything would be with armin in LL. I understand why they take Kentin out, especially with the lifestyle he has, I even understand Lysander a bit (I still find it unbelievable that in 4 years he hasn't visited his brother, but it's more passable). They could have left him as a secondary character, or just make a couple of appearances, idk

(in my headcanon Armin lives in Amoris and Lys appears in the city at least once a year)
