How I got into Haunted Mansion
Inspired by @all-things-ghostly 's post!
So, like most people, I've been to Disneyland as a child, and the Haunted Mansion was one of the rides. I do not remember most of the ride, but two memories made me say "Hey, do you remember this moment in the ride?" And these two moments were: 1. The Stretching Room
From memory, I remember seeing the stretching posts revealing the cause of deaths (well, Constance's darker side), and while I didn't remember the Ghost Host's dialogue, I remembered his laugh and his skeleton up on the ceiling. Strangely enough, I always thought the GH's skeleton was a bed sheet and not his body, thinking it was a ghost looking down on people and ready to scare you. (Maybe it's also because I remember the Soviet cartoon "Malish and Karlson" where Karslon dressed up as a ghost to scare some burglars stealing clothes)
For those who are curious (it's in Russian): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8XL0BZ5Ozs
2. Madame Leota Through the dark ride, I remember Madame Leota in her crystal ball. There is not much else about it, but I definitely remember her.
Now, another question I had, was I scared during the ride? I do not know, and neither do my parents. Maybe I assumed I was a little frightened of "Ghost Host's way" but also curious, maybe I said, "Look a ghost!" (I know I'm a strange kid lol)
Yeah, only two memories, I haven't been to Disneyland in so long tbh and I had plans to revisit (until Disney sent money to the country that is committing a crime against humanity..). But who's to say Youtube didn't help me refresh the memories.
I was at work, bored, and when the break came, I looked up the stretching room posters. But it was only a small start, and I even saw the HM 2023 poster at a movie theatre during my vacation in Maui and told my older sis about the stretching room.
Now, how I actually got into Haunted Mansion, was thanks to one of my besties @olainewashere, who got me into watching the Haunted Mansion 2023, and we both talked about the HM. Thank u Olaine for a new interest :3 I'll also continue watching the 2003 movie as well
And uhh, that's basically it! Hope you liked my small reading XD

Shipper Tag Game
I was tagged by @a-very-fond-farewell! Thank you so much, darling! Though I'm not sure how good I'll be at it x'D
---
1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don’t care anymore?
Honestly? None. While I did have some ships I was interested in, I wasn't obsessed with any of them. And I kind of still care about them? In a very nostalgic way. So I kind of fail at both parts of this question x'D
2. Which ship would you consider your first one?
If I'm going with the one I got really invested in? Destiel tbh. Mainly because I was very much a late bloomer who didn't really discover fandom and fanfics until I was 20-21. I mean, I HAD read some before that but since I didn't have internet in my apartment until I went to university (I was too poor xD), it wasn't easy for me to access them. Shipping is just easier when you have internet.
But, once I had it, I DID revisit a couple of ships that were technically older than Destiel that I had never really gotten into before that, many of them from video games, anime/manga, and books I'd read. But they were all overshadowed by Destiel so that's the one I remember as my first.
3. Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?
Are we talking reading or writing? I guess I'll do both?
Reading: I think it was a Zell Dincht/Seifer Almasy one from Final Fantasy VIII that a friend printed out on actual paper and gave to me back when I was 16 or 17 (again, no internet). And I honestly can't say why he picked that pairing xD (I'm definitely more of a Squall/Seifer girlie now)
Writing: Sterek. Because it felt interesting but also not too intimidating. And I also just like werewolves?
4. Do you remember the first couple you saw a fanart over?
Not really, no. Since I've been drawing for so long I spent more time looking for art than fanfics when I was younger so I probably stumbled over a lot of them without even knowing it.
5. Did you ever get into ship discourse?
Not if I can help it, no. I tend to stay away from that sort of thing as best I can and just let people ship whatever they want. It's honestly none of my business.
6. Did you use to have any no-otp or have it currently?
I have several, mostly based on what I find triggering or squicky. But I don't announce them publically because that's just rude to those who DO ship them. And, as stated above, I try not to get involved in what other people ship or don't ship.
7. Who were the couples in the last fanfic you read?
Choi Yoon/Yoon Hwa Pyung from The Guest. Because who doesn't love some pining and Catholic guilt?
For real, though, I read very few fanfics right now and actually had to go check my history on AO3 to figure this out x'D The second to last fanfic was a Strangers From Hell one. And the one before that was a Guardian one!
8. Currently do you have any OTPs?
Several. Honestly too many to list x'D I'm one of those people who don't really let go of ships I like. They're not always at the forefront of my mind, though, but I remember them fondly and coo a little when I think of all the fond memories.
But if we're talking about the ones I'm the most focused on right now I'd say Kang Yo Han/Kim Ga On from The Devil Judge, Yoon Sa Wol/5-8 from Black Knight (currently struggling with chapter 6 x'D), the aforementioned Choi Yoon/Yoon Hwa Pyung from The Guest, and Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan from Guardian.
9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?
Sterek. But that has less to do with my dedication to the characters and more to do with the queerbaiting and how extremely shittily Jeff Davis handled that whole thing. To use the Sterek shippers for publicity and hint that maybe it could happen, only to turn around and do everything within his power to not make it happen?
I take that personally, not because I have a huge stake in Stiles and Derek as characters, but as a queer person who, for once, thought that maybe we would actually get to see a couple we really liked get together, and then didn't.
I had more hope for Sterek than I ever did for Destiel, which technically had more in-canon queerbaiting, because the people behind Teen Wolf did their damndest to give me hope. Only for me to be ignored and basically told I was being gullible for ever thinking it would happen.
And that's a betrayal I'm probably never going to forgive.
10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?
Not... really? I can't think of any, at least. But that could be because I always have a pretty good reason for disliking the ships I dislike. As mentioned, it's usually based on triggers and squicks and those don't really change. So my opinion on ships I dislike aren't likely to change, either.
11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?
I mean, considering the social climate right now? Even Sterek qualifies because Stiles was underage when I started shipping them and Derek most certainly was not xD That said, I always prefer the fics when Stiles had time to turn 18 before any of the sexy stuff happened.
12. What was your favourite crack ship?
Okay, so, I've actually read a lot of fics for ships I don't actually ship, just for research purposes. Like, I find it FASCINATING to watch what other people like, how they choose to write about the things they like, and how they decide to portray the characters. Basically, I like to analyse authors just as much as I like to analyse characters. It's a hobby of mine.
And one of my absolute favourites was reading fanfics for Newt Scamander and the original Percival Graves from the first Fantastic Beasts movie (Sidenote: She-who-must-not-be-named is an asshole and this is not an endorsement of her franchise or shitty beliefs). And why I loved that so much was because the fics were about THE ORIGINAL Percival Graves who, technically, was never IN the actual movie (he might not even be alive anymore?). Like, it was Grindelwald all the time. We never actually SAW the original Percival Graves, just Grindelwald's impersonation of him.
And I just had so much fun reading various authors' takes on this character who was never actually seen but, based on Grindelwald's impersonation, can sort of be hinted? Because he must have done a good enough job of it that the people around Graves didn't notice? It was like an anthropological dig of Percival Graves transpiring right before my eyes and since I got on the train pretty early, I could see authors being inspired by each other and how the fanon developed over time. 10/10 would recommend if you're interested in watching a fandom evolve.
(also, some of the fics were so fucking good. So there's that, too xD)
13. Who is the couple you read most fanfics of?
I'm not entirely sure if it's Destiel or Stony, but definitely one of them (Sterek is most likely in third place). Partly because there are just so many to partake in (those fandoms are HUGE), but also because they've been with me for so long and numbers accumulate. That said, I haven't read any for those ships in a long, long time. But considering how many fics I devoured during the time I was the most active in those fandoms? It's going to be difficult for any of the ones I'm currently into to catch up.
Also because I tend to be in much smaller fandoms now >_>
14. What do most of your ships usually have in common?
WELL. A while back I would have said that even if there are some enemies-to-lovers tropes and antagonising in some of them, they're all mostly unproblematic and pretty healthy.
... I can't really do that anymore, can I? x'D
I mean, Kang Yo Han is problematic all on his own, but even HE is a green flag compared to Seo Moon Jo. That fucker is just a straight-up psychopath x'D
A more serious answer: An interesting dynamic. Which sounds like a given, but is actually a bit more tricky than that. Because I've only gotten more and more picky over the years. I've actually spoken to my wife and friends about this, because I've seen a pretty noticeable shift in my own shipping practices lately.
I gather fewer and fewer new ships and that's not because I watch/read fewer things, but because I'm getting pickier about them. There has to be an extra spark that interests me, often connected to the characters' personalities and how they play off each other, while, before, a bit of chemistry was enough.
But that also makes me more versatile, I guess? Because I focus less on tropes and more on characters and dynamics. But that also makes it harder to spot similarities xD
15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?
I mean, hate is a strong word. But, again, it would mostly be connected to my triggers. I don't like ships that are too abusive and unbalanced. A little bit of danger is fine, but things like abuse, infidelity, grooming, non-con etc. don't work for me, personally.
---
I don't really know who to tag so just do it if you want to! :D

oh you KNOW what time it is. 5, 28, 34, 38, B, H for oak!!
5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?
It depends on the person. Most people with money and power earn their mistrust simply on account having money and power. The only reason Oak's not mistrustful of Verin, a member of a ruling den of all things!, is because of how strongly Espen vouches for him, and her having been a mentor to him. Oak's also gone from being "ugh, rich snob" towards Galsariad only because now they're like "fuck. they were classmates with Tarlyn. @.@ how well did they know each other??? do I wanna subject myself to learning more about Tarlyn from others?😭" And that was a bit of a tangent... Anyway! On the other end of the spectrum, Oak tends to be too trusting toward most people who are underprivileged.
28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
It depends, also because Oak loves the third option a lot - omission, lmao. They'd rather be told if they did something that upset a friend. They want to be given the chance to improve, and that starts with the truth. If it's just a matter of opinion, though, they're happy not even knowing that someone didn't like a craft of theirs or something. And if it's something that doesn't concern them, they also prefer a "i'd rather not say" or "maybe one day I'll tell you" than a lie. But they understand why people lie sometimes.
34. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?
Not too hard. Like I said in Rey's ask, Oak's been raised to understand we all make mistakes, and that mistakes are the stepping stones through which we learn valuable lessons. They will suffer for a bit, chew on it, learn from it, and then the cycle is over. At least that's how it's been so far, BUT... Sometimes Tarlyn's memories and emotions can muddle the waters a little, which is weird for them. And Tarlyn, well... 👀
38. What memory do they revisit the most often?
I love this question! I think there are many memories of good times spent with friends and family that they like to revisit, like the first time they managed to build a Feather Fall propeller and all of their siblings wanted to have a go at it. But the top memories Oak constantly revisits are the many, many times they sat at the kitchen table with grandma Ondra, her pipe being passed from their hand to hers, as she listened to their worries and pains and questions, and imparted to them some of the most important knowledge they carry. And her hugs.
B) What inspired you to create them?
I knew I wanted to play a goblin artificer, just bc I vibe with goblins and I wanted to play a quirky and upbeat character with lots of gadgets. So then I started reading Exandria's Xorxhasian lore, especially goblin life in Jigow, and consecution, and those two things turned into very powerful questions in my mind: what if someone discovers they were once a part of the very same group that has power over them now? what would happen if it takes a while -- if one's personality is already something rather fixed before they get to remember everything else? what makes a person, nature or nurture? By then I was already going deep into my analysis (and expansion) of Exandrian lore and running wild with ideas for Oak. XD
H) What trait do you admire most?
I put this in rey's ask's tags, but Oak's self-compassionate and achievable ideals come from my desire to learn how to be more compassionate towards myself. Oak knows they're worthy of love, no buts, no worries about their appearance/gender/quirks/background, no beating themself up over their mistakes, no doubting other people when they say they care.

Thai QL Favorites Tag Game
Tagged by @lurkingshan! A similar thing happened to me, japanese QLs make me go feral xD Anywho, I don't really rewatch stuff and have a tendency to move on from one show to the next, so it's really hard for me to have a favorite. I was surprised myself by the answers I gave :p
Favorite Thai QL: I think this is the hardest one for me because my favorites are always changing. And shows I might've loved in the past maybe don't struck as hard anymore, also I'm not one for rewatches but I guess. If I have to pick a show that currently still makes me go crazy thinking about it I guess it would be either Cupid's Last Wish, Triage or You're My Sky. They give me my favorite tropes and I do rewatch part of them sometimes. And an honorable mention to I Will Knock You for being amazing.
Favorite pairing: Mmmmm. I don't know if I have one. I'll take this as the ffn.net definition of the word. Depite it's flaws I guess I cannot help but be in love with PatPran, they just give me everything. They make me feel all sorts of things inside. I only wish I could separate them from their actors, I've been having some troubles in the suspention of disbelief part of my brain lately. But I am hoping Perth and Chimon's characters do the same in Dangerous Romance, orJimmySea's in Last Twilight. So this might change soon.
Most underrated actor: Uuuuuh. Sing Harit. But idek if he wants to be an actor. I think he's more into music. But everytime I see him I love him.
Favorite main character: In thailand, currently Charn from Laws of Attraction but that's not a QL, it's a lakorn. But he's making me go crazy, I am OBSESSED. If not him though, I guess either Tinn from MSP or Noey Wathplu from IWKY.
Favorite side character: Yok from Not Me. I love that man. I just... I... I can't say anything else. Just. Yok ñkglhjfhdfssfghkjl
Favorite scene in a QL: Bad Buddy rooftop kiss. The emotions that scene made me feel haven't been felt again since. What can I say I'm a fan of angst and facial expression accompanied with very little but poignant dialogue.
Favorite line in a QL: I'm very bad at remembering lines. And there's many that I've loved and that if they were brought up I would be like "oh yeah that stuff was amazing". But since I'm trying to remember on my own a line, there only one that comes to me: "Holy Guacamole!" - said by the housekeeper when finding Leo and Fiat making out with their pants open. Don't Say No. That was so unexpected it stuck to my brain xD
Most anticipated QL (& why): I am an anti-mainstream person and also a hypocrite. Contrary to everyone I come across, I am avoiding OF like the plague 'cause I do not want to have any expectations. I am however looking forward to Last Twilight, cause it's p'Aof and it's about diabilities.
Healthiest relationship in a QL: Dean and Pharm from UWMA. I think they were very healthy in how they approached each other and respected each other's boundaries iirc. I could add WinTEam to that though, I think.
Most toxic relationship in a QL: There's many out there but of the one's I've seen I guess I would say TharnType? They're the first ones to come to mind. But I'm sure there's worse pairs out there.
Guilty pleasure series: I don't really rewatch stuff, so I don't know if there would be any I would consider a guilty pleasure. Mainly because I guess if it was bad and had nice whump that would be one, but thailand doesn't do that too much.
Most underrated series: I Will Knock You. I will die on this hill. That was one heck of a show. It might not be perfect but it stayed true to itself and that was great <3
This was fun I really don't have a lot of favorites, so it was nice to revisit the shows I like and see how they make me feel now.

you Know i want to hear you talk about Marystiel crack fic but I just looked at your list and I'm soooo curious about Endverse Sastiel!!! How would that dynamic be?
I haven't thought about this idea in depth in a long time, so I'll enjoy revisiting it ^-^
The premise is that, since we don't see endverse!Castiel dead, we can't know for sure that he is! (my motto with my SPN faves xD). So, let's imagine that he isn't, that Lucifer decided to spare him. Maybe it was a bout of sentimentalism as they're the two only (pseudo) angels left on Earth lol, I can see s5!Lucifer doing that. Plus that means he has another person to screw with other than the Sam in his head :))) (AND a brand new way of screwing with the Sam in his head! win-win-win as far as he's concerned, probably).
So things would star with Castiel as Lucifer's new favourite prisoner. I think he'd toy with him offering to restore his connection to celestial powers -he's an archangel, he might be able to; on his terms, of course.
And at this point, I imagine Castiel completely defeated: the Colt was revealed to be useless, Dean sent Castiel and their comrades to die for nothing and died himself, etc. So Castiel's fighting spirit is about zero. If Lucifer wants to kill him? If he wants him as a fucked up version of a pet? What's it to him. If he wants to give him the equivalent of lame prestidigitator tricks in comparison with the true power of free-range angelic grace? Eh.
But maybe one day Lucifer takes things too far in hurting Castiel. Enough to propel Sam into fighting his influence for just a moment to stop him (cue 11x14 parallel, which I hadn't even watched when I first thought of this lol).
I think that one moment could be just enough to give Castiel the tiniest bit of hope and drive to fight back. Because maybe if Lucifer is defeated things can have fucking meaning again. Although I also imagine him being initially FURIOUS with Sam (too little too late, was what he'd think).
It's going to be a very angsty/whumpy story, in large part because Lucifer is such a huge presence and there's no denying SPN's version of him is a fucking creeper asñdlfkajsdf (although I can promise no non-con scenes because it's not something I'll ever feel the desire to write). But OTOH I'm determined to give it as happy an ending as possible in these circumstances LMAO, unlike what's likely for my other endverse-related WIPs.
As for the Marystiel crack WIP, I will say that your WIP has made me want a Lebanon alternative more than before LOL. Closer to canon than your own, in that it's Castiel who doesn't remember then and not the other way around, but I delight at the idea of writing his despaaaaaaaair upon finding that Mary is now living (in sin) with an angel and Sam & Dean are like "damn, we have to let our dad return again or we'll lose our bestie/step-dad and step-brother/surrogate son forever :(((" xDD
