one of the things "progressives" do is simply refuse to learn more about certain non-mainstream concepts because that would mean they actually have to put effort into their activism rather than just shutting down/ridiculing the people advocating for them. they do this for landback, they do this with neopronouns, they do this whenever someone challenges the idea that countries that are targets of the US state department's propaganda may not actually be 100% evil dystopian hellscapes, the list literally goes on

Saw two posts recently and I disagreed with them for the same reason and that is, y’all better not be falling into the pit of dissing things bc they’re not “sophisticated” enough for you or something.
Like someone complaining about cutesy wutesy terms or like stupid fanfic writing. Some people be saying stuff like ‘no! You have to like real books! Only use real words to describe yourself!’ Who are you? The cringe police?
Actually the colloquialisation of language is kinda a complicated topic. Yeah we shouldn’t dumb down words and stuff when it comes to discussing serious things and we shouldn’t be calling anyone else things that they don’t want to be called. But if someone is using casual language to refer to themselves and they’re someone who can ‘reclaim’ (for lack of a better term) that language, then I don’t think it’s hurting anyone. Sometimes we need to use serious language and sometimes we don’t.
And let’s not make fun of hashtag weird fanfic or fandom (as long as it doesn’t actually promote harmful views or cause harm).
There’s obviously exceptions to both these points but my general rule is, let’s not attack things for the sake of ‘it’s weird’ or ‘different’. Being judgemental and shaming people to conform to arbitrary standards is the talking point of literally every single hate crimer. That mindset is used by ableists, racists, sexists, queerphobes etc etc. Lets not forget that.

i feel like what rubs me most wrong abt a lot of blanket nd vs nt statements is tht for the love of the creators of the universe neurodivergency has no standard behaviour except tnt it's not 'standard' behaviour. so ur shitting on nt for doing whatever n glorifying and exalting nd bc they are the opposite and better and Superior is most times actually just shitting on a human quality exhibited to some degree by a large number of humans nd n nt alike. n the nd subset reading tht are just gonna wrongly feel bad abt themselves. i wld add tht the nt ppl are also gonna wrongly feel bad abt themselves but tht was your goal all along so you already know tht.

I do hope that people know that if you’re annoyed with notifications for a post you have that blew up, but you have no real issues with it going around, you can delete the post instead of turning off reblogs. This will erase the original post from your blog and stop all notifications, but people can still reblog the reblogs of it. This seems initially more extreme than just turning off reblogs but it allows people to continue to share and enjoy the post while leaving you alone!

I was wondering what the other boys (or Olli and Aleksi themselves) think about the whole Olli/Aleksi thing (I mean people shipping them) 🤔 as I’m sure they know about it and I was going through a tiktok account who makes edits about them and according to the owner Joel has liked s lot of them 😄
sorry for such a boring answer but tbh I don't think they think much of it 😄 as in it's not something they often acknowledge/think about 🤷♀️ if they do, they might think it's funny, and any of them liking edits and such might just be them wanting to be supportive of the fans creating harmless but well-made content :')
but of course we can also imagine a headcanon of the others teasing Olli and Aleksi about it, not really understanding that the reason they always blush is not because it's embarrassing and annoying, but because they actually do (secretly) like each other! 😭

ngl, bylers really have a certain capacity to make everything abt byler. even noah's words lmao. the kid talks about will's superpower being his heart and they think noah is talking abt mike, when in the same sentence noah said he thinks will is the heart of the group instead. boy wasn't talking abt mike when he said that i need you guys to be real for once without putting the shipper goggles on
okay this is OLD but i have to say my favorite recent example of this is finn and noah both saying that filming was starting in may and then someone reporting that david had said that they weren't supposed to say that and that it was a spoiler. you just made that up!

If jigsaw from saw got put into the dead don’t dream-torture situation and tddd!dream got put into a saw trap (of your choice whatever u think suits his personality) who do you think would be able to escape the fastest?
so. despite my choices in writing I've never seen a whole Saw movie and I don't know that much about Saw other than watching a compilation of the worst saw traps probably too young (let's not analyze that one) but from what I DO know.
Saw traps are designed to be escapable, the whole thing is testing someone's will to live. To get out you just gotta have brutal, deranged willpower. And Dream, while being a coward when he doesn't have control or is afraid of dying, has got way too much willpower. He withstood torture for months. There's nothing he hates more than losing. He is terrified of dying. He would do terrible things to get out. I think he is maybe too equipped to deal with a saw trap lol.
But in the dead don't dream, there was never meant to be any actual escape. Not to mention, it was designed to keep a half-starved manipulated teenager from running. Dream put a lot of trust in Tommy's faith in him and fear of him. The amount of opportunities Tommy had to kill Dream but didn't... maybe too many. Of course there's also Wilbur, who tried to kill Dream with everything he had but was too physically weak to do so. And Dream never gave him another opportunity. So he knows how to deal with someone other than Tommy. Still, it's crafted for a very specific situation.
So, my verdict is Dream could get through a saw trap way too easily and Jigsaw's escape would depend on whether the assumption was he was a threat or not.
Not gonna lie the fact that you asked me this question is a bit terrifying lmao /nm
