4. a story idea you haven’t written yet

I have an idea for a story inspired by the London Calling book cover in this phenomenal @thesumdancekid + @talldecafcappuccino T/R bookcover collaboration. I'm not totally sure if it would be set in a different time period, although I am toying with it, and in general it'd be a play on "calling" with Rebecca spending some post-canon time in Kansas with Ted. I have not written a single word and it's possible I never will, but it's fun to think about!

12. a trope you’re really into right now

This feels disappointing but I can't really think of a specific trope that I'm particularly into these days? Anything in the vein of bedsharing, "there was only one bed," and travel scenarios leading to unexpected closeness are forever a fave, though.

On the top of your head, do you have a favourite line you have ever written?

I know you said “from the top of your head”, but I’m cheating because I’ve been thinking about this all day trying to figure out if there’s one line I wrote that stood up to me, and I actually found it almost impossible to come up with anything. And then I remembered that one from In Reverse: 

“A daughter for a son.” 

Now it’s literally just five words and it’s absolutely unremarkable in term of prose; there are much ‘prettier’, flowy sentences/paragraphs I’ve written over the years, but to this day, I don’t think I’ve ever written anything that was more “PUNCH IN THE GUT” than this sentence. I still haunts me 8 years later. It’s definitely a favorite of mine because of its strong meaning in the overall story, and I know it’s been responsible for quite a few buckets of tears.

Oh! This one of Alicia Vikander training for Tomb Raider, it’s definitely this one. It’s one of the first sets I ever made, yet every couple of weeks it picks up another 50-100 notes and I don’t understand how people find the post. But I suppose you should never doubt #thirst

Just because I am curious, and while I probably could not rank them, I am going to be mean and ask you, but based on your #this scene#is the hardest one in the whole series, what would be for the five hardest scenes of HP for you?

oh man that is a TOUGH question! I have been thinking about it all weekend haha

so from hardest to…still pretty hard, I would say

the scene with Harry in Dumbledore’s office at the end of OotP

Fred’s death, DH

the bit at the end of GoF when Mrs Weasley hugs Harry and he has ‘no memory of being hugged like this, as if by a mother (my HEART)

the bit in OotP when Ginny says ‘lucky you’, in reference to Harry having forgotten about her possession, because I feel like she is just so ALONE when she says that. And I don’t mean that as a judgement on Harry alone, but just because I think EVERYONE forgets about what happened to her and that is just…awful? I mean, it’s such an incredibly dark narrative–she was 11 years old, and only just!–when it started and yeah, it ends up okay, but like I say, it’s never picked up on again and it’s like everyone just…moves on? I’m glad that Ginny did, too, but I just feel like it wasn’t as simple as just having a hot chocolate and that being the end of it, as is implied. And I think that in some ways that is a really powerful message to send out to young girls: a Bad Thing can happen to you, but you can still go on and have a good and full and fun life, and you don’t have to be defined by it, like in Ginny’s case. But there is part of me that kind of thinks JKR could’ve done a LOT more with the whole storyline and that just…did not happen. Which is a real shame. (oh man can you tell Ginny Weasley is one of my #heroines from this rambling response haha)

Hedwig’s death. I love Hedwig. It was the worst.

Just because I am curious, what are your top ten heartbreaking moments of The Americans? Or eight or twelve if that is easier (:

Ok I’ve tried to list them in no particular order (unsurprisingly I did need 12):

When Philip and Liz break up in s1 and they tell Paige and Henry Philip was moving out (“Are you gonna stop loving us?”)

Elizabeth listening to her mom’s tapes, which really culminated when they met (which ended with her sitting on that bathroom floor while Paige was praying GAWD).

Nina leaving the Rezidentura (and Oleg going to the staircase to see her one last time)

Mischa learning he wasn’t going to see his father (“Forget father?” “No, not here”)

Liz after she realized she was going to hurt Young-Hee for the mission (“I’m gonna miss her”)

Anytime Philip realized what he did was wrong and felt awful about it - like when he tried to save the septic guy but he died (“We do it, Elizabeth, not them”)

Paige finding out about her parents and that talk they had the day after (“She said we love you every much”)

Nina’s death (that dream sequence made it so much worse!!!)

Oleg staying in jail (and seeing his family’s reaction)

Philip telling Elizabeth they needed to leave Henry behind (I’ve not recovered from her gasp and never will!!!)

The garage scene (“You were my best friend” “You were mine too”)

The train scene (genuinely never cried so much while watching television)

I must be missing a lot of them but this show is too heartbreaking what can I do

I have two episodes left of Scorpion, how terrible is the cliffhanger knowing there will not be new episodes? The team just won the sports game and most is well and happy, so if the finale is terrible/delete my memory-ish, would it be better to end it here?

i still haven’t watched the finale because of what i’ve heard from friends about how it ends (and i’ve seen gifs, etc.), and tbh i don’t plan to because i don’t want that to be how i remember the team/show! but 4x21 was a good ep so i’d say you could watch that one and then just leave it there if you don’t want to end on a sour note! :)

it’s disappointing bc i think, as annoying and unnecessary as i find the storytelling for the final ep, it would’ve been a good SEASON finale that brought ~interesting ways to fix it in season 5. but not a good series finale at all, ugh.

Honestly, when i first read the script I wasn’t a huge fan and I thought there was a lot of mess in regards to the story and everything. But when I saw it live it was sensational, it was magical and honestly one of the best experiences of my life and that sort of changed my feelings about it. The storyline isn’t great but the production is amazing.

What do you think will be the outcome of Denmark Sweden game tomorrow? Do you think we will progress?

i hope we’ll win, think we’ll lose – or draw at the very best 😞 we haven’t really met a team that should be challenging since algarve and we were still very much in the build-up phase then. then we’ve met ukraine and croatia at home where we’ve somehow managed to struggle like crazy. søndergaard, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to want to make any changes to the defence where our main problem is. and then i think sweden will shut us down – especially since they can make do with a draw to win the group. but 🤞 that we’ll make it to the play-offs
