where she goes

i literally can’t imagine life without my grandma.  It’s already hard that she’s half gone.  It just hit me today while I was working a puzzle with a patient/client.  Idk why.  I think her puzzles in on the dining room table on Farm Ave became so vivid as I was working this horror movie themed puzzle.  It first made me think of my childhood best friends bc The Ring is the focal point of the puzzle and I told my client how we watched it on my friend’s 9th bday and then her dad called the landline on his cell phone when the movie was over and the three of us just screamed and panicked.  I guess maybe that got my mind settled in _____, Ohio.  No matter how far away I am these feelings don’t fade or wan or have any mercy.  Savage.  They take me, as she goes.  Today feels slow.  Not in a measure of ime but when i look around, it’s like everything holds still for a few frames longer than normal.  Like I have slowed down to observe in slo-mo.  Does that make any freaking sense?  I thought about my sister up there and texted her today asking how she was and fortunately she’s actually in FL at the beach.  I’m glad, she needs and deserves a break.  I hate that she is going through this alone.  She’s taking it on the chin.  While I, the older sister, live 750 miles away and it’s only in my face when i choose for it to be.  She has to deal with it every single day.  Do I go stay up there longer?  What do i do?  There’s nothing I can remedy for the innevitable ending.  What will i be without her?  She is so much of me.  My soul does not just ache, it screams.  I am terrified.  Where will i go, what will i do, what will happen to me?  It just doesn’t seem real.  Where do i go after that?  I feel like i should go where she goes.  But when she leaves this earth- i’ll not know how to consciously find her.  Goddd I am having a rough day with this.  I have never been so sad.  A loss has yet to be this enormous.  I feel it coming like a tsunami wave looming, darkening the sky right before it oblitherates all that it touches.  Where will i be?  Mamaw, please stay with me.  Please talk to me.  Please call me and comment on all of my posts.  Please. Stay. Please.

i’ll sing the owl house’s praises till the day i die because not only is it a damn good show, but because as someone who grew up in the era of queerness being stuck in subtext, this is a show i would’ve died to have as a child/baby lesbian
