Whats the sentient lost light up to during the mutiny arc? :)

It starts with Getaway learning long before the rest of the crew that the Lost Light is alive. He doesn’t spill the truth immediately, though; no, he has a better plan. The ship is being exclusive only to Rodimus, Magnus, and Megatron, the former two he believes are being too sympathetic to the latter. He could use this, his new knowledge of the ship, to get it to do what he wants. When Team Rodimus go down to Necroworld, Getaway enters the bridge and speaks to the Lost Light directly. He reveals that he knows they’re alive, and he declares himself captain to them; and that he’s in charge of what they do now.

Now, the thing about LL is that they follow a rule of no bias; so while they don’t understand why Getaway is doing this, when Rodimus is the captain, but they don’t refuse letting him into the captain’s chair and handling the controls. And in this moment, they’re not mortified that he knows, they’re merely bewildered. How did he come to know? (He might’ve smooth-talked Lightlost into saying things that aren’t like any of the crew, and also taking their physical appearance not as a costume/coincidence but as deliberate… and/or he would’ve seen their holoform dissipate.)

LL is saddened as they listen to Getaway use their comm to announce the mutiny to Rodimus, and is hurt even more when they hear how confused and angry Rodimus is. But they don’t do anything, because it’s not their place to. The mutineers, even Getaway himself, still mean so much to them, and they’ve watched over them all the same. They just never would’ve fathomed that the crew they care about so much would turn on one another. When Getaway leaves Necroworld, leaving Rodimus's group behind, LL silently wishes for their safe return sooner than later.

This would be the beginning of LL's little mini-arc where they begin to question their neutrality, a question that's amplified further once Getaway releases Sunder, who promptly begins cannibalizing the crew as part of a bargain to have the crew's memories altered. LL is horrified, and for the first time, appears as Lightlost and confronts Getaway directly. Getaway gives the ship one more chance to back down and stay subservient, but when LL makes it clear that they're now actively opposed, he has no other choice. So he summons Sunder. Sunder, who knows the Lost Light is alive.

Unfortunately for the titan, the mnemosurgeon doesn't need their giant optics to tap into their mind. Through Lightlost, he's already looking at them; and so he strikes. With the flash of his optics, the floor beneath him trembles, and with a choked gasp, Lightlost abruptly disintegrates in a field of distorted light. The overhead lights flicker, and then there's silence. In mere seconds, the titan's conscience had been shut down, their frame now indistinguishable from an inanimate vessel. And Getaway continues with his business as normal.

The Lost Light would remain in their unconscious state until Rodimus and his team finally reclaim the ship. The first thing the titan sees, and feels, upon awakening, is the familiar frame and face of their true captain.

Main inspirations behind the godkiller au and the hunter au? :3c

Like, what inspired you/continues to inspire you when making content for those aus?

In like probably 95% of my and Lotus's AUs it just sorta...happens? We joke about sharing a headspace and the monkies just sorta...wander in eventually. Finding a new AU sometimes feels like a wildlife photographer (tiny man was the most notable I'm this sense). Stumble on a single idea/concept and build from there. Or take one event/detail and change it just enough and say "so what changes now".

For Godslayer, Red was originally a villain. He was supposed to be some terrifying threat that someone needed Core Wukong to help solve. Ans then we started exploring "Okay so why is this macaque so terrifying" and said he killed God's. "Okay so why did he do that?" Etc. Etc. And it just kept on going until we reached depressed single father of five. Absolutely wild jump but I could trace the exact path it took to get there.

Hunter (at least he part ove shared) is that we had a Wukong originally from an adjascent/another au (sanctuary is complicated /fond but there's another ask asking for explanation for that I'm just gonna do it at a computer instead of mobile cuz it'll be long) who was missing/didn't have a fleshed out macaque to match. So we took the hunter wukong and then did the same thing as Red, just kept following the au and ended up with a really cool assassin guy.

There's also some arbitrary stuff too, but mostly when it comes to the designs, less the plot beats. Hunter Macaque has blue eyes because I saw another design with blue eyes and I said "omg yes" and slapped them on the next Mac that needed a design. Stripes' freckles and stripes are the same reason.

As for the inspiration to keep going, that's in large part due to @lotusmonkey . Get you a friend who indulges every wild thought you've got and bounces them back. I mean that seriously. We have SO much fun just coming up with scenarios and ideas and RPing them out. We wrote a combined over 80k words in a single month. For a single rp/thread/au. That doesnt count offshoots or other aus. So those ideas happen and then I just wanna draw them.

That and the headspqce with the monkies. They just do their own thing sometimes (they had a whole siege plot unfurl without Lotus and I coming up with any beat like just last week its wild what they get up to) and that's inspiration too.

Hurt/comfort headcanon:

Hurt/comfort stuff always confuses me a little because I’m never sure if people want the version with physical injury or emotional injury, if you know what I’m saying...

We already know how Oz behaves when somebody else is down. He tries to cheer them up by joking around, trying to force them to join fun activities, etc. If it’s something more serious, he’ll attempt to talk them through it. Oz is more perceptive than he seems, and he often understands the situation more than he’s willing to show. 

If Oz is the one suffering, well...we know how that goes too lol. He has a tendency to neglect his own needs, but I think if he’s in a mood where he’s willing to actually take in what other people say, he needs to be told that he’s loved and accepted just the way he is. That all his hard work means something, and that he doesn’t need to pretend to be somebody else for his friends/family to care for him. 

In terms of physical injury, I think Oz would be the type to dote over people lmao...like if a friend is hurt, he would demand they stay in bed so that he can do everything for them. He’d probably bring them food and read to them and stuff, anything so they don’t hurt themselves further and aren’t dying of boredom. 

It goes both ways, though. Like if Oz was hurt, he’d insist he was fine and didn’t need anything but you KNOW Gilbert is gonna fuss over him until he explodes

its got a very strange metric on how it decides to treat those that it comes across.

husks will be left alone, and will generally be ignored unless W is desperate for fuel. W has never seen a human.

most machines are targets - potential sources of parts and fuel. killed as cleanly as w can manage; not out of mercy, but out of worry that its frame will get dirtied by blood.

for active threats, it actually usually takes a liking to them (v1, swordsmachine etc) it enjoys the thrill of a good chase, as it will only get caught if it wants to be :3 (it's SPEEDY)

1. About the "I sincerely do not understand the hype" one--I love Break, I just don't love him as much as other people. I think I've said this before in another post. His character is interesting, but I also feel that his character doesn't distinguish itself from other similar anime/manga characters as much as it could. So that's the "me not understanding the hype" part.
