Ruins of The Magnus Institute FACTS WE KNOW:
Someone (who runs an urban spelunking forum 👀👀👀) marked it as “cleared,” which has led to a lack of exploration
Pictures don’t upload to the internet and also just fucking. disappear.
People leave with a weird sense of paranoia
Scorch marks from fire 20 years ago 1999 (FIRE? 20 years ago??? Web bond gertrude/agnes hilltop road tree????????)
Third floor mostly gone
Feeling like doors were gonna close and TRAP YOU INSIDE
All! The! Fucking! Papers! In! The! Archive! Are! Gone! FUCK!!!
Old graffiti: symbols - also found on an empty wooden box???
Gross stains all over the floor (hello smooshed worms)
Only images posted (after graffiti images were promised) were of gross/gory Eyes

it’s INSANE how we’ve gotten an ‘iconic line’ in every tmagp case so far. we got “some of him,” we got “canaries should stay above ground,” we got “if i wanted to clear the canvas, i would’ve used turpentine,” we got “i think i shall stay here for a good long while”
the writing in this show is crazy so far

Someone here said that the common pattern of the cases is that The Fears and consequently their manifestations crave an audience, an extensive number of victims and not just one unlucky person who they continually terrorize. It really takes "And Now They're Coming for You" to another level
oohhh I like that. let's examine case by case:
magp 01 - I don't see a lot of audience seeking in harriet and arthur's graveyard reunion, but redcanary/whatever got redcanary posted that final horrific image for that whole forum to see
magp 02 - ink5oul live streaming the torture tattoo session
magp 03 - alas, don't think I've got any audience craving here, dr webber was very much trying to hide
magp 04 -
I executed a ‘jete,’ a jarring musical demand for their attention, a declaration that I must be seen and heard. A rapid and perfect volley of eleven notes, past which no murmur, no whisper lingered. I had their complete attention.
magp 05 -
I forgot to mention, I’m sure you all are wondering when you will be able to hear all my thoughts on the experience. Well, I have good news. You won’t have to wait at all! The invitation to the screening actually explicitly mentioned that liveblogging the event is okay!
magp 06 - needles having his fear "dessert" by trying to scare the phone operator
magp 07 - I also don't see much fearful exhibitionism here, alas
magp 08 - could the "architectural hunger" of the service station be read as a hunger for an audience? this space was meant to be lingered in, deeply considered, witnessed, and now people just pass in and out without sparing a second thought. it wants to be seen, so it takes its audience by force.
magp 09 - the statement giver continually bringing random strangers into his whole evil dice thing
magp 10 - tv show innit

OKAY CRACK THEORY TIME.
If it takes a certain something, a certain chutzpah, a certain je ne sais quoi if you will, to move up in the OIAR, I don’t think it’s a HUGE leap to say it’s PROLLY fear-aligned and controlled
and since we already done did an Eye-based organization and the whole spread through the whole multiverse thing was Web-engineered, I don’t think it’s a HUGE leap to think the OIAR is perhaps Web-aligned? Especially with the whole “the Web has been trying to collect all the fears and stories into one ~Archive~ of some sort,” and Freddie’s strange stickiness as a computer system that no one quite understands but everyone relies on entirely to do their work. Or even if it’s not specifically Web-aligned, the Web was still the one that pulled all the Powers along into this brave new world and it sure does love pulling all the strings behind the scenes. So maybe the OIAR is just kinda influenced/led along by the Web.
Anyway. Okay. So. All that is to say.
My PERSONAL THEORY IS.
that the Office of Incident Assessment and Response.
Is headed,
owned,
and operated.
By the one.
The only.

ALRIGHT IVE BEEN HOLDING ALL OF MY INSANE AND DETAILED THEORIES INSIDE FOR FOUR MONTHS AND THEY HAVE GROWN AND FESTERED INTO SOMETHING ENTIRELY THEIR OWN AND I’M MAKING THEM ALL YOUR PROBLEM NOW HERE WE GOOOOO
okay so anyway my current main theory is that Jon Martin and Jonah got schlorped into this other reality along with the fears but the way it happened led to EITHER their weird entrapment in mostly digital media (a lá the Leitners), which ALSO led to Jon and Martin and Jonah also getting stuck in whatever this equivalent of collecting fear-based stories shit is. So obvs they’re those three voices Norris (Martin), Chester (Jon), Augustus (Jonah) (Jon and Jonah are ENTIRELY guesses at present - if it is Jonah he’s the one with the v pretentious-sounding name for SURE tho) I have forgotten what those names are. Apologies.
Anyway I think it’s a weird fusion of whatever the Web was attempting with that website that collected stories, AND the role of the archive AND the creation of the panopticon by a man who was VERY. DEDICATED. TO. SORTING. AND. CATEGORIZING. So they’re collecting data, archiving stories for the Eye (Jon is still the Pupil and the Archivist, after all), but Jon and Martin prolly wanna help. Categorize. Give these people a fighting fucking chance. If I think about them too hard rn I’ll have an emotional breakdown so that’s a post for another time.
But anyway. The forced categorizing (dolls, watching / dolls, skin / all the subcategories under “Reanimation”). The voices reading them out. All of the computers and cameras and mics recording all these convos between the employees. The organization whose job is just reading and filing supernatural data and stories accurately which is important for some reason that no one can really understand or explain. Hahaha. Sounds familiar.
Anyway I’m obsessed with all of these new characters. I’m so excited to spend all of the time with them!! And be terrified of the horrors that are gonna come after them!!!!

The Norris, Chester, and Augustus voices only showed up sometime around early 2023 (Alice, MAGP 01).
In TMA, the world went to hell in October 2018 (MAG 160 case number). Then approximately 6 months passed (word of god, Q&A) before Jortin either died or got yeeted into the multiverse to god-knows-where.
We don't know if the series ended in 2019, or if time got set back to October 2018, or if it's a completely different year because time itself got borked.
We don't even know if the timelines actually line up between the TMA and TMAGP universes.
However, if Norris and Chester are Jortin transplanted from the TMA universe, I think it's reasonable to believe that a number of years might have passed between their not-deaths and their appearance as haunted text-to-speech.
I propose that they spent those years as spacetime-traveling multiverse pirates.
I will not be elaborating on this theory any further.

Modification(s) to Existing Magnus Database Record(s)
Modification date: 2024-03-14
The following modifications have been completed in The Magnus Database.
Changed ID of Object "Response 121" (item type: MSC) to "Response one-to-one" Reason: As of MAGP 09, the official transcripts refer to the item once as "Response 121" (MAGP 01), once as "Response department one to one" (MAGP 05), and once as "Response department one-to-one" (MAGP 09). Admin made this change because the majority of references now spell the term as some variation of "one-to-one."
