Hey, I'm really enjoying what you've done so far for this original work! You mentioned Shane and Aku are princes of the Faerie Kingdom, is this a place for just Fae folk, and are there other kingdoms and races? Would also love to hear about Shane and Aku's roles in the kingdom and their backstory!

There are four main Kingdoms in the Faerie world- these are Esagila, Olympia, Dilmun, and Maru. Shane and Aku are the Princes of Esagila. Z is also full Esagilian. There are some other species, but I’m still working on those.

They both were born in Esagila, as were their parents, but they have mixed blood. Most fae do.

Shane leaned heavily over the banister, letting a heavy sigh escape his mouth. He wanted to go out. He had nothing to do today, and his brother was downstairs being as insistent as ever ordering the maids around. He wondered if he would ever get to see his brother be a little bit nicer to people. Not that he was mean, he just had a lot to do as crown prince, and with Shane being the second child, there was a lot less pressure on him, so he was able to slip through more loops. His fingers fiddled with the sleeves of his jacket and finally gave in to unbuttoning the top button of his shirt for the third time that day.

"Aku!' He called down below.

Aku seemed to purposely not hear him for a moment before he looked up, halo arranging itself to perfectly crown his head, despite the angle.

Shane merely gave his brother a cheeky smile and headed over towards the stairs, aiming to make some fun for a while.

"You tease the servants too much, Aki." He said mockingly, wondering if he could get his brother mad at him. It usually never worked, Aku tended to be incredibly mellow.

"Please don't call me that." His brother's voice almost dripped exhaustion, and Shane knew it; because, if Aku was tired, it was because he had stayed up reading all night. Typical.

"No, really, you do. I wonder if they tire of you."

"If anything, they tire of your ridiculous games, Shamash."

"If it's of any consultation, I don't usually spend my time ordering them around when I can go get things myself. I also don't use my magic to stir my tea."

"I could beat you in a fight any day, brother, don't think that is an empty threat." There seemed to be a hint of a smile at the corners of Aku's mouth, a rarity for him, but it only edged Shane on further.

"If I win, will you call me Shane like I keep asking you to?" The young prince puffed out his chest and stood up straight, just slightly, trying to gain a little bit of height against his brother.

"Mom needs to stop telling you those silly human stories. Your name has always been Shamash, and that's not going to change." Aku looked down, almost mockingly, like the few inches were all that stood between Shane and his lack of ability to match the crown prince.

It succeeded in getting Shane angry instead. His plan had yet again backfired, and he went back to go sulk in his room.

which of your ocs has grown the most? what made them change?

In the story, which I’m still working on, I think Aku ends up growing the most. He becomes less judgemental and cold and works on opening up more and not taking people for granted.

Nah, they’re full brothers, they just got the opposite ends of the gene pool lmao.

They get along fine most of the time. They bicker and fight like siblings do, but they would rush to the rescue of one another in an instant. In particular, Shane likes to try and get Aku to yell at him, and Aku finds it funny when Shane insists on being called Shane, and not his actual name, Shamash.
