Imagine: Lucifer confessing his love for you to both Charlotte and Linda.
Charlotte: [Walks up to Lucifer, with Linda besides her] What's wrong with you and Y/n tonight?
Lucifer: Nothing is wrong, everything is quite perfect.
Charlotte: Oh really!
Linda: Yeah! Lucifer, out of all of us you,maze and Y/n we're always the life of the party.
Charlotte: You being in a grumpy mood has nothing to do with Y/n bringing another guy as a date to the party, does it?
Lucifer: [Sighs] He was about to ask me, but then Pierce in his own words “I can't make it tonight, I have a pile of paper work to look over” and ditched the detective.
Charlotte: And then Y/n heard and encouraged you to take chloe only for Pierce to show up unannounced.
Lucifer: Exactly.
Charlotte: [Sighs] Do you love him?
Lucifer: Yes! I do. More than he will ever know.
Charlotte: Then, tell him before you lose him forever. Stop making excuses and taking his choices away.
Lucifer: I love him, but it's best if I let him go. He looks happier with his date, his life will always be in danger when he's with me.
Linda: You don't get to decide how he feels Lucifer. You don't get to decide the risks, he's willing to take for you.
Charlotte: It's his choice not yours, just stop over thinking and be with him already. You deserve to be happy.
Lucifer: [Walks across the room to Y/n and his date] Can I cut in for a dance.
Y/n: Sure! Alex, you can take a break.
Lucifer: You look great tonight.
Y/n: Thanks! You great also. I was wondering, how long it'll take you to ask me for a dance.
Lucifer: You were having fun with Alex, I didn't want to ruin your date.
Y/n: Oh please! You would do anything, just to run guys away from me.
Lucifer: I supposed, this true.
Y/n: [Asking confused] Did I...did I do something wrong Lucifer.
Lucifer: Of course not! I just...i love you y/n and I want to be with you and just you for the rest of our miserable lives. So what do you say?
Y/n: [Smiling] I say...yes, I love you too Lucifer.
Linda: [Her and Charlotte watching from across the room] We'll make some great matchmakers.
Charlotte: We sure, will.

When Lucifer first aired on FOX I was enamored and couldn't wait to see the new episode every week, the entire time it was on the FOX network. But then FOX cancelled it and it moved to Netflix where I feel it dimmed in story quality. While Lucifer and Chloe's relationship blossomed once on Netflix I loved and felt that UST so much more and deeply. Don't get me wrong I still loved their relationship all around but I just couldn't get around the crappy writing of the last season.
But goddamn the chemistry between these two...have mercy!

Okay but has anyone considered the whump potential of Lucifer in the show? It's a little iffy for me because I was raised religious, but there's some reference potential for his wings. I won't spoil much but if fellow whumpers want some reference for wing whump, especially when wings are amputated, that show is something to be looked into.

Kieran and Sinclair have the same dynamic as Lucifer and detective Decker. No one can change my mind.
What's more Lauren from purple hyacinth shares her first name with Chloe's actress, Lauren German.
Even the fact that Lauren was a detective before checks out with similarity to Chloe being a detective.
Another thing would be how both Kieran and Lucifer call their partners by their profession: officer and detective.

You know, I really want a fic where Lucifer is hurt benignly - like he hurt his ankle or knee or leg, and he stays home with Chloe and Trixie and is taken care of. Like, I know it can’t logically happen because he would heal too quickly after being hurt, and that Chloe would willingly leave so he could do so, but it sounds like such a cute fluffy whumpy fic, you know?

Imagine: Being married to Mazikeen and you're both meeting Trixie for the first time.
Being married to Mazikeen, is both a blessing and a curse. When she's annoyed, she expects you to also be annoyed, same with her being angry or whateva she wants you to do. You have to do it in her eyes.
Y/n: Wassup with you?
Maze: I'm upset, that's wassup, can you believe he won't take us back home.
Y/n: [chuckles] We've only been here for a month maze.
Maze: So now what, you're taking his side.
Y/n: [sucks his teeth] I'm not taking anyone's side, but I can make you feel better.
Maze: How?
M/n: Like this.
There's always a problem within the marriage or outside the marriage, but sex wasn't one of them.
If the both of you find new ways or positions to try, best believe, there's no time being wasted. If you're not having sex in the VIP room, it's in the washrooms or where place you could fine.
During the actions, that was obviously leading to sex, you were both oblivious of the little girl walking into the club.
???: Hello. Is Lucifer here?
You pushed maze off your lap and hurriedly put back on your missing clothing. Maze annoyed from being interrupted put back on her top and turned around to face the little person.
Maze: Who are you supposed to be?
???: I'm Trixie, his friend.
Maze: His friends get worse and worse.
Y/n: Hate to break it to you, but he's not here.
Trixie: That's okay. I'll wait.
M/n: So, what do you want with Lucifer?
Trixie: He cheers me up. I hate it when people fight over me.
Maze: What people?
Trixie: My mom and dad used to a lot. But this time it was Mom fighting with Nana about how I look.
Maze: Which one wants you to look like an old drag queen?
Trixie: My grandma, I guess. They're fighting over what they want me to be when I grow up.
Y/n: What do you want to be?
Trixie: I want to be the first president of Mars. Or a zookeeper.
Maze: Mm-hmm. We used to be a zookeeper. In a way.
Trixie: Really?
Chloe: Trixie! Thank God you're okay. What were you thinking, running away like that?
Trixie: I wanted to see Lucifer. But he wasn't here. So I made two new friends. What's your names?
Maze: Mazikeen. But you can call me Maze.
Y/n: I'm Y/n. But you could call me y/n/n.
Chloe: (sighs) Thank you, Maze and y/n/n.
Y/n: We didn't say you could.
Chloe: Right. Trixie, let's go and get you home.
Trixie: Bye Maze. Bye Y/n/n.
Maze: Anyways, where were we, before we were rudely interrupted.
Lucifer: Maze!? Y/n!?
Y/n: You have to be fucking kidding me.
Maze: Just ignore him.
Y/n did exactly as his wife commanded, Lucifer just rolled his eyes at the couple and walked to the elevator and headed to his room.
Lucifer: Just bleach my counters, when you're both finished.

Inequivalent Exchange
So, idk how people feel about Chloe overall — honestly, idk for sure how I feel about Chloe overall, since the amount I like her varies across the show — but I’ve been rewatching Lucifer season 2 and I can’t help but find her a touch selfish. Specifically, I’m talking about the period of time from s2e5 “Weaponizer” to s2e7 “My Little Monkey.”
I mean, in 2x6 something is clearly off with Lucifer. While the audience knows that this is because Lucifer is grieving/feeling guilty over Uriel’s death; Chloe doesn’t know this, but she does notice it (which would be kinda hard to miss, tbh, since he was so very different from how he usually is). Her response, though, is principally to rebuke him for letting it affect the case, rather than trying to figure out what’s wrong. It isn’t until he is more seriously, obviously acting out that she actually tries to figure out what’s wrong, and, even then, she’s still chewing him out for not being focused on the case the way he usually is.
Meanwhile, you have 2x7, where she’s having personal issues because of the complications relating to her father’s murder, and she lets it completely possess her. She breaks protocol repeatedly (following Joe Fields around once he was released, continuing to work a case where she clearly had a conflict of interest, etc) and is exceedingly focused on the things causing her personal distress.
To be clear, the purpose of this post is not about criticism or support of specific measures of coping with personal difficulty; I am not arguing about whether the treatment she receives or the treatment Lucifer receives is the “right” treatment. This post is however intended to point out that she’s being a touch hypocritical. She expects Lucifer to follow protocol and remain focused on the case while he’s dealing with his issues, and yet she gets a free pass on rule-breaking and snippy behavior because she’s dealing with stuff relating to her dad. It’s like he’s not allowed to have issues that affect his mental state, but she is.
I just find it kinda ridiculous that Lucifer sitting there having a mental breakdown complete with suicidal wishes and potent self-hatred is dismissed as inconvenient across multiple episodes, while she gets an entire episode of my issues take priority over everything.
