She Don’t Wanna Marry Me
Tumblr media
Part 6
Lorraine walked through the shop looking at dress after dress. She couldn’t decide on the type she wanted and even worse her mind kept drifting back to your words to her a few nights ago.
I love you so much more.
Maybe to some, your love for her was obvious, but to Lorraine, it was you who didn’t know how much she loved you.
The number of times she would stare at her phone your contact waiting for her to hit the call button.
The long nights when she would lay wide awake at the thought of you not by her side.
Yes, Lorraine knew you were in love with her there wasn't a time she couldn’t remember you weren’t.
But there had also never been a time when she wasn’t in love with you.
Maybe it began from the day you punched Brian for making fun of her.
Maybe it was the day her dad walked her down the aisle to you.
Or maybe it was the day she had arrived at her university. Something hilarious had happened in her first class and when she looked over her shoulder to where you usually stood, you were nowhere to be found.
All she knew was every night since RJ’s proposal, it wasn’t him she had seen the rest of her life with.
Mindlessly, she grabbed a dress to try on before stepping back out.
She took three deep breaths before looking herself over in the mirror.
A sharp whistle breaks her from her trance.
“Well look at you.” Her heart skips as her brown eyes immediately meet yours through the mirror. You smile at her softly. She’d always loved the way you looked at her and the smile you wore now was one she always felt like was for her and her only.
“What do ya think?” She asked softly swaying back and forth.
“I think” you step closer. “you’re probably the most beautiful bride to grace this shop.”
Heat flooded her cheeks as the shop owner came clapping excitedly, Bobby and Maxine following closely behind.
“Usually I think it’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding, but the bond between you two-“
She’s quickly cut off by Maxine.
“They’re not getting married. They’re just friends.” Something in the way Maxine said this made Lorraine glare at the girl as Bobby stared at her friend confused. You look down stepping back a bit and clearing your throat.
The once light air is now tense as Lorraine goes to change. Maxine steps closer to you.
“Hey Zuko, since it look like we’re all done…what do ya say to taking me out on a date?” Bobby’s jaw drops, it was no secret Maxine had been attracted to you since they had arrived but the way she was going about it was unusual.
Even the shop owner could see something between you and Church Mouse, so what was she doing?
“Actually Maxine- “
“Y/N.” As always, your attention shifts to Raine. “Do you mind taking me out for a few errands?” You nod turning to Maxine.
“Sorry Maxine, seems Raine needs some help and I was planning on giving her her wedding gift.” She forces a smile.
“Of course.” She says through clenched teeth.
You go to your bike, Lorraine hurrying after.
Bobby looks at Maxine who smirks at the sight of Lorraine getting on the bike behind you.
“The hell are you doin’?!” Maxine laughs.
“Trying to avoid a shit show of a wedding, that girl doesn’t love RJ and Zuko deserves a chance at least.” Bobby furrows her eyebrows as she looks at her friend.
“You have a plan.”
Maxine nods. “I do.”
Bobby looks at her friend. “Just be careful.”
The former girl gives a soft, genuine smile. “Of course, I’ll be needing your help anyway.”
She’s met with crossed arms and an eyebrow raised in skepticism.
“We’re gonna make sure she don’t wanna marry him.”

Doctor’s treatment
Part 2
Pairing: Tara Carpenter x fem!Reader
Summary: After so long Tara finally meets you again... only this time a little drunk.
Word count: 3k
Tumblr media
It has now been a couple of weeks since visiting the hospital. People would think that Tara has already forgotten about what happened but the opposite is true. In those weeks there wasn´t a day she would not think about you. Her mind was repeating what happened and everytime a smile grew on her face. Mindy and Chad started to make fun of her, saying she looked like a kid first time having a crush. She doesn´t care.
Tara wanted to see you, so badly. She started thinking about how to get to see you again, like she would play another attack and go to the hospital, which to be honest was too cruel, or she would just go there and act like she had some examination and suddenly she saw you start to talk with you, then you would ask her to go on a date with her, you would start dating and-
God, she needs to stop. Young Carpenter sighed and put her head on the table. The voice of her professor was muted in her ears, today she felt like sleeping, just laying in her bed all day doing nothing. It was friday and she promised to go to some party. Mindy has been talking about it forever.
„Mindy I´m not in a mood right now.“ The girl turned her forehead against the table.
„I didn´t even say anything!“ Mindy scanned the shorter girl, looking for any signs of sickness. „You don´t feel good?“ she asked now with a normal tone. Tara shook her head.
„Well then we should probably call some doctor, who knows, maybe they will help you.“ Tara punched the girl beside her, making an angry noise from being teased on.
„Who does he think he is?!“ Tara was angry. They were currently at the party Mindy talked about. Everything was fine at first, everyone was minding their business, and they danced and drank, talked and joked around. It was so much fun.
But that fun soon disturbed that idiot Frankie. He was being himself of course and was trying to get with every girl there, including Tara. But the girl wasn´t in the mood for his stupid games. At first, she ignored him but as soon as he was touchy and started grabbing her to go upstairs, she became furious.
She yelled at him so hard the boy even flinched, wasn´t expecting this behavior from a sweet girl like Tara. Yeah, like she was some easy prey. He then became angry and embarrassed but knowing a lot of people were around him he couldn´t do anything.
„He is a prick Tara forget about him.“ Mindy was standing beside her watching as her friend was getting more alcohol into her cup. Tara wasn´t really drunk, yet at least. And after this incident, she just wanted to get alcohol into her system to forget about his ugly ass face.
„Like...“ the short girl let out and furious sigh out of her lips. „he is such a fucking idiot I´m surprised no girl has punched him yet.“ Tara shook her head at the bitter taste as the alcohol touched her tongue. Maybe she will be first.
„Oh! And on top of that-“
„Tara.“ Mindy said from her side but she only continued, she didn´t even notice the hand of her on her right shoulder.
„-he even-„
„Tara.“ Mindy said a little louder through the loud music that was playing in the house.
„Fuck Mindy what!“ Tara looked at her friend, raising her voice a little. She wasn´t angry at her, of course not and Mindy also knew that, but Tara had a short temper.
„Apollo at 9 o´clock.“
Tara turned pale. Her eyes widen and her body becomes stiff. She felt like she had forgotten how to breathe. What did she say? No, that can´t be. The only person they were calling Apollo was...
„Tara fucking turn around.“ Mindy said between her clenched teeth as she kept looking at the way she told her to look at.
Tara took a big breath trying to calm her beating heart and shot her eyes to the left. There was a group of friends chatting and laughing, they had beers and cups in their hands as they were standing by the side of the room so as not to disturb anybody.
She scanned the group and suddenly saw the familiar figure she had been so desperate to find these past weeks. You were standing there in your civil clothes and cup in your hand. Your bright smile could be seen from every spot of the room, smiling at your friends as you were talking about something, sipping on your drink.
„Tell me I´m not crazy.“ Tara´s eyes kept looking at you as if she was afraid you would disappear again. Her chest kept rising and falling at a fast speed.
„No Tara, you´re definitely not.“ Mindy may only see you from a photo but this was definitely you. You looked far better in a person than in a photo, she must tell.
The young Carpenter turned to Mindy with wide eyes and eyebrows raised. „Oh my God! Oh my God! What do I do?!“ she quickly looked at her clothes if they looked fine. „Do I look good? I don´t have anything between my teeth?“ she smiled widely showing her teeth Mindy to check.
„Stop Tara! Calm down.“ Mindy took her shoulders to make her look at her. „Okay okay stop right now. No, you don´t have anything between your teeth. You´re fine.“
Deep and slow breaths were the next thing she needed to do or she would have another attack and that would be pretty embarrassing. It was just you. Yeah, just the cute doctor who took care of her at the hospital. Yes, only you, as if you were someone special-
Of course, you were special! To her! She wanted to impress you so badly. The girl was always thinking about the ways she would meet you again, what would she say to you, what would she be wearing, and how she would impress you... She looked like a garbage at the moment.
Today Tara didn´t give a fuck about what would her clothes be or how she would style her hair. She just wanted to have a little fun from studying and enjoy the night with her friends.
She looked at your way one more time and your eyes met. You squint your eyes at the girl as if you were trying to remember something. She quickly turned her head to Mindy, a scared look swimming in her eyes.
„Mindy. She saw me.“
„And now she´s making her way here.“
„No, that can´t be real.“
„Oh yes, it is.“
„No no no no.“ Tara shook her head to left and right trying to put herself together. She wasn´t ready to face you. This is not how she imagined your second meeting.
„Hi.“ Mindy looked at you and greeted you back. She took Tara again by her shoulders and turned her to you.
„Hi.“ The short girl said as she was now looking at your pretty eyes. You were smiling at her like you were the first time you saw each other.
„I´m sorry I didn´t wanna disturb but... I think I know you.“ You now lowered your eyebrows a bit and kept scanning Tara´s face.
What? Do you know her? Oh my God, you remember! The girl´s heart started beating in her chest as she now realized that. You wouldn´t remember if she didn´t catch your attention, right? Right?!
„Uhm... I-“
„Oh! I know! You were in a hospital! I knew you were familiar.“ You smiled widely at her, you looked happy that you could remember after all a lot of people came through your hands every day.
Tara breathed out as she looked down. „Yeah,“ she laughed „you got me.“
„Oh, you okay now? You had any complications after?“ You kept asking her as you scanned her face and body, not in a disgusting way. But let´s be honest, Tara wouldn´t mind that either.
The shorter girl smiled softly, playing with her hands as she was softly swaying her body to the sides like a small child. „No no, everything has been fine since then.“ She smiled shyly at you. „Thanks again.“. You just shook your head like she had nothing to thank for. You were just too sweet.
Mindy offered you and your group to be with them and after the introduction, some went to drink more in the kitchen or went to the dance floor. The three of you along with some of your friends were sitting on a couch in a living room with drinks in your hands, talking and laughing at others' dancing skills.
You were so friendly and your friends too, Tara was looking at you the whole time, listening carefully every time you started speaking so none of the words could slip her. The Carpenter didn´t even notice how much alcohol she drank, guess it was because of the stress from your presence but as soon as she stood up, she could feel everything.
Oh no. Her mind was now spinning, „I´m going to the toilet.“ Mindy offered to go with her as she saw her friend's face. She was drunk.
„Oh my God, Mindy.“ These were the first words that left her mouth as she saw herself in a mirror. Her eyes were down and her face was all sweaty from the hot room and alcohol. Tara touched her cheek at the state and turned around to her friend. „I can´t go back looking like this.“ Her mind was spinning and she barely could control her legs. „I´m so fucked up.“
Mindy was behind her smirking, leaning against the bathroom door, clearly dunk as well. „Tomorrow morning will be fun.“ She laughed to herself, eyes closed from the sharp light of the bathroom.
„Hey! Are you even listening to me?“ Tara went to her but stumbled a little. Mindy laughed at her clumsy friend. She wasn´t as drunk as Tara, she could still walk normally. The only thing she was more giggling than usual.
„Come on, it´s fine. Or do you wanna leave Y/N?“ Mindy asked Tara. „Did you forget about how you were these couple of weeks?“.
Right. She can´t do that. She needs to get your number, at least that. They went to the group again but with each step they took the alcohol in their system could be felt more and more. Tara was now so drunk that she laughed at everything she saw. The girl sat beside you again but this time a little more closer than she was before, you turned to her and smiled at her. She giggled at you as she tilted her head a little.
You could see her cheeks were red and her eyes had fallen a little. Every time she was speaking her voice was really loud and her hands were everywhere around the place, even almost smacked you but you were quick to dodge it. Yep, she was drunk.
Tara´s mobile kept vibrating a couple of times but she only ignored that. It was Sam, she was worried about her because they agreed that Tara would inform her every now and then that everything was fine. The first time you caught the notification you wanted to warn Tara about it but then you saw it.
On her wallpaper was your photo from the hospital, the one with all of your colleagues. The photo was zoomed on your smiling figure, it was so cute you wanted to laugh but you couldn´t. You didn´t want to embarrass her so you played like you didn´t see that.
„So...“ Tara hiccuped as she leaned her hand on the back of the couch behind your head. You raised your eyebrows at her as you were trying to hide the smile from how drunk and cute at the same time she was. „How old are you?“ she kept looking into your eyes as if she was trying to seduce you but was cut by a hiccup again.
Laughing at her now you answered her question. „How old do I look?“
„I don´t know, you look really young to be a doctor. You are a doctor? Or you are a student? How old are you?“ Tara squints her eyes at you. You let out a laugh as you threw your head back at her words, closing your eyes in the process.
Tara was drunk smiling at you, showing her dimples. She didn´t know why you were laughing but it was because of her so she didn´t mind. In her head it meant victory. You wiped your unexisting tears and shook your head. „You are so drunk.“
„No, I´m not! Look I can drink more!“ she went to grab a cup that was on the table in front of the couch but you were quick to take it from her hand.
„Absolutely not, you had too much already.“ Tara wanted to argue with you about it but her thoughts were cut by your touch.
„You have really pretty hands. They are much bigger than mine, look!“ she compared your hands and yes, hers were really small.
„And your fingers are so long... I wonder how it would feel inside of-“
Mindy covered her friend's mouth from beside her. She kept listening to your conversation the whole time, making sure Tara wouldn´t say or do something she would be embarrassed about the next day. Something like this.
„Okay, I think we should head home.“ Mindy wanted to pull Tara on her legs but she didn´t want to stand up and leave you. She kept pouting as she sat a little more closer to you almost sitting at your tights.
„Come on, I will go with you.“ You stood up and gently took her hands to help her on her legs. She smiled like a kid and immediately did what you wanted her to do.
You and Mindy were taking Tara to her home. Sam was now calling Mindy asking about her sister. She had the right to be mad, she let her go to a party under the condition of her texting her if she was alright.
As you were close to the apartment door Mindy left you two so you could be alone. Tara won´t remember it but Mindy for sure will and she will make sure her friend will pay back for this.
„We are already here.“ Tara whined and turned around to look at you as you now stood in front of her door. „I don´t wanna leave you, I wanna be with you.“ The girl hugged your neck as she put her head on your chest to stare into your eyes.
You laughed at her. „Don´t worry, I´m sure we will see each other again.“
„Do you wanna come inside?“ she smirked and dragged her finger around your shoulder, tilting her head to the side softly. The young Carpenter had clearly enough for today.
„You know I can´t Tara.“ You breathe out with a kind smile on your lips.
„I love it when you call my name, it sounds so different, and also your smile and your eyes and-“
The door from her home suddenly opened and there stood Sam. The three of you kept looking at each other shocked written on your faces, waiting till someone made the first move.
„Uhm... hey I´m Y/N, I don´t know if you remember me.“ You smiled kindly at Tara´s sister. She kept studying you a little, then it hit her. Yeah, you were the one from the hospital. You helped Tara and that was all she needed to know.
„Yeah, I remember.“ She then looked at her sister, slowly shaking her head. Tara´s arms were still around you, not caring that her sister could see everything. „Come on Tara.“
The short girl let out a whine not wanting to let you go. She tightened her grip on you and was now looking at you to save her from her angry sister. „You need to let go of me.“ Your voice was so soft, it was only convincing her to stay but your words said otherwise and she needed to listen to you.
Slowly pulling away from and with a point on her lips, eyes big as if you were saying that you will never see her again. You didn´t even leave and she missed you already. The girl just wanted to stay with you.
„Will I see you again?“ Tara asked as she was almost at her apartment looking for your answer. You nodded your head at her, shooting her one of your smiles with a wink.
„Okay... Goodnight.“ She said with a low voice, putting her head down and leaving you in a hallway. Sam turned to you and gave you a tight-lipped smile.
„Thanks for bringing her here.“
„It´s fine, she´s amazing.“ You looked from the way she disappeared to Sam. „I guess I will head home also. Goodnight.“ You waved at her and started to walk away.
The next morning couldn´t be worse. Tara woke up with a terrible headache and the urge to throw up, Sam was giving her silent treatment, Mindy kept teasing her about yesterday and she had no way of contacting you. Like she would do that, the girl was so embarrassed that she just wanted to bury herself deep into the ground.
Afternoon Mindy and Chad came, and they kept making fun of Tara and her flirting skills. Suddenly her phone rang signaling a new message.
Y/N:) :Heyy, hope you feel better
What? How did you get her number? It was really you?
„Mindy? How did you get Y/N´s contact into my phone?“ Her friend looked at her with a confused face. „Did you give her my number?“ Mindy shook her head, still looking muddled.
„Maybe she did it herself.“ She shrugged her shoulders. „At least you have her number finally!“
Yeah, at least something but when did you make it? Oh yeah, she probably left her phone on the couch when she went to the bathroom. But if you got your phone number into her phone that must mean...
„Oh God... please no.“ She put her head into her hands, covering her red face from embarrassment.
You saw that fucking wallpaper.

hi! i love your writings, they're so good! i just hope that you can write something cute about pregnant lorraine and reader chilling in their farmhouse with their children, please? thank you 💛
-
“Melly, look at the camera baby!” Lorraine’s sweet, baby-voice echoes. Your doe-eyed daughter, who’s hair is currently in braids that your wife did when she had the shortest length of hair, coos and runs up to the both of you, her hands flaring to the air.
Melly’s hands make grabby arms and you pick her up and spin her around as she giggles. You curl up to Lorraine and nuzzle her neck as she plays with your daughter's hair. She puts a small strawberry hat she knitted on her tiny head, making Melly babble and erupt in laughter.
Her eyes look up at you, blinking as her little hands come up and nestles her fingertips into your smooth hair. You do the same for Lorraine, pressing your lips to the side of her head as you fondle with her dark, wavy hair. You make a small squeal when Melly tugs on your hair, not enough to hurt, "Stop that!" Melly giggles more and plops her head onto your shoulder, "Hair."
“You are so cute! Your eyes are so pretty!” She fusses, lending the camera to you as you carefully hand Melly to her, cautious of Lorraine’s belly that is currently bloating that carries your soon to be child. You rub the bump that's forming, leaning down and letting your hands rub shapes under her yellow sundress. The freckled brunette gives you a warm smile, in which you let her kiss your forehead as she speaks, “She has your eyes, you know? That’s why I love her even more.”
“Well, she has your cheeks, I can squish them all day!” You giggle, pinching Melly’s cheeks lightly and squishing Lorraine’s.
Your wife squeals at you, and you pick up an incoming Theodore that is now racing towards you with his cow stuffed animal. His dark brunette hair is ruffled, in which Lorraine rubs it to smooth it out.
“Hi Teddy!” You say, recording him as he looks up at the camera with his overalls and a farmer hat you secretly stole from Mr. Days' most prized stuffed animal collection. He shows his cow stuffed animal to the camera, like a trophy and plunks on the haystack, his eyes noticing the tractor push-car placed next to him. He crawls off the stack and tries to crawl into the mini, self-drive tractor. It makes you and Lorraine giggle.
Your camcorder gets placed down on one of the stables, where it can capture everything. Then you pick up Theo and spin him in your arms, making him squeal happily. You bounce him up and down in your arms before placing him into the tractor and watching him click all the random buttons. He places his cow, which he’s recently called Sam, in the passenger seat. Then he puts his hat on him.
“Car,” Theodore’s tiny voice states, making him around to you. His eyes are questioning.
“Yes tiny, that’s a car.”
His tiny toes step on the pedal and the tiny tractor slowly begins to drive to you, making small ‘vroom’ noises as his tractor goes in circles in time with his wheel spinning.
“Baby, I think Theo would be a race-car driver one day.”
“I think he’d be a great race-car driver,” you say, about to talk about all the cool things he would do, until Theodore’s tractor bumps into Lorraine’s knee.
“Ouch!” She gasps, playfully. The small boy giggles his heart out, so much you can see his brunette hair going up and down.
“Excuse you, young man. You cannot try to crash into a pretty girl’s knee that is currently going to grant you another sibling!”
He backs up and this time charges to your knee, bumping into it.
“Hey! That hurts!” You shout, Theodore is giggling again, his cheeks are flaring red and you and Lorraine can’t help but giggle. “I hope he doesn’t do that in class.”
Lorraine shakes her head, placing Melly next to Theo as she puts his stuffed animal back into Theo’s lap, watching them go.
She looks at you, as if you were the sweetest person to ever exist. “My daughter and son look even more beautiful because of you.” You flush pink, the smile that forms on your face can’t be stopped, “I think they’re only beautiful because of you ‘Raine.”
Her finger places over your lips, before kissing them and looking into your eyes. Your head rests on your shoulder as you look up at her with those puppy eyes she’s been melting in since she first met you years ago, “Well they’re our children, the cute girls and boys we always pointed to when they passed by our house to try out our cookies. The children that we’ve always talked about having. They’re ours Y/N. I can’t imagine it, or being happy with anyone that isn’t you.”
You nuzzle her chest, inhaling her sweet, musky, citrus scent, “I’ll never be happy with anyone else that isn’t my sweet Lorraine.”
The both of you smile, before watching your children drive around the barn.
“Cow!” Theodore states as he brings his cow stuffy up to show it the cow in front of him. His name was Mabel.
A little while later you and Lorraine are asleep on each other with your backs laid against the barn. Theodore and Melly are feeding your netherland dwarfs and holland lops strawberries. Both your eyes flutter as you hear your sweet girl’s giggle, peeking out of the barn door. Your bunnies are licking their hands. And even after they bite into the strawberry, Melly eats the rest, making a small, ‘mmm’ noise.
“Wait, where did she get those strawberries?”
“The door where the sink is closed!”
“She’s eating the strawberries we grew without washing them!”
Before Melly can eat another one you two shriek, “Wash those strawberries!”
-
The four of you, well five, if you include your 3 and a half month golden retriever, (Pickle) are back at the farm house. The chilly breeze of the air conditioning cools you two down as you make Lorraine, Melly, and Theodore milkshakes. You cut some strawberries and mash them into a sauce, before adding some sugar and condensed milk. Then you blend them up with some milk and vanilla ice cream.
“Milky.. Shake!” Melly and Theodore say happily as all of you drink your milkshakes at the table. You steal a small sip from Lorraine’s strawberry one as she takes a sip from your vanilla one. She presses your lips on yours quickly, a light peck. You look back at the brunette girl and kiss her again.
“Ewww..” Theodore says, looking away from the romantic and cute sight that was in front of his eyes. Melly covers her face and makes a fake gagging noise, “Icky.” Theodore hugs Melly and she hugs him back, they’re both hiding away from you two.
“Awhh,” you both coo, watching them peek at you, Theodore peeks at you from the crevice of Melly, checking if you two are done.
Lorraine laughs in your ear as you hide in her neck and rub her belly, “When they’re older we’ll be teasing them and gagging when they have someone to bring home.”
“You’re sure right baby.”
You both are silent for a moment, taking a moment to appreciate everything around you, and what memories are yet to be created in the comfort of your home. There are pictures of your children’s footprints, the four of you as a family, Melly hugging Pickle when he was a baby, and Theo hugging Melly. Your eyes linger on a picture with them having spaghetti sauce all over their face and flour on the floor, like they’ve been caught committing a crime.
“That’s my favorite photo,” you say, looking up at it and grinning.
“That’s mine,” Lorraine points at the one when you four went to the pool for the first time, both your babies floating on the water with safety lifeguards on.
Then your eyes meet a polaroid photo that you two took years ago, maybe even more over a decade. It feels so long ago, yet you remember it like it was yesterday. Your heart aches knowing that time has passed by so quickly with your sweet ‘Raine. Lorraine smiles seeing the way you’re smiling.
You still had braces in and that stupid, silly smile. It was the photo of when Mabel, the cow that is still mooing today, was still a calf. Lorraine was wearing overalls and toothily smiling at the camera while you had ice cream in your hand. It was after the carnival you two went to freshman year high school. You remember Mr. Day had taken you both when celebrating your good grades. You two looked so young, yet it didn’t even look like you aged either way. You two were still the same old Y/N and Lorraine.
The both of you lean into each other, “No, that’s my favorite photo,” you both whisper. The polaroid photo that wrote, 1997.
“I love you Y/N," her voice says, smooth like vanilla. You smile, curl yourself more into her.
“I love you more ‘Raine.”

Sneak in
Summary: Vada misses you and your lips.
Warning: none
a/n: okay i kinda like this one, have fun i guess and I want to thank @yara124 for this wonderful idea
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Daylight, I wake up feeling like you won't play right!" I shouted with following the tune of the song. I fucking miss her and I miss fucking her. I haven't seen her for a week, and I'm dying to taste her lips again, those sweet plump and pink lips of her.
It's been a week and a half since Y/N got busy because of fucking school works, I hate school because of two reasons; I straight up hate and I hate it more because I can't kiss my Y/N because of it!
Think of something, I have to think of something that will make Y/N come over or I could just sneak in her room and surprise her. Yes! That's the one!
The song ended as I get up, I quickly went to the kitchen to have my lunch and pack a meal for Y/N later. I saw mom talking to her phone and wave at me when she noticed my presence. I munched down my food and sprint across the kitchen to my room, I swear I heard mom yelling something but I couldn't care less.
It's 4 o'clock in the afternoon, I was scrolling through my phone stalking her accounts when I remember my plan. I jump out of my bed and put on a bra and put my shirt back on.
I arrived at her house by 8 and I quickly jump on the fence and started climbing to her window. I finally arrived in front of her window after those several attempts to save my life from falling, I stood by her window full of bruises and sweating like I just ran a mile.
I saw her room full of darkness, great she's asleep. I went inside anyways tip toeing so I won't make any noise to startle her. I slip beside her and adjusted myself and cuddle her in her sleep. I fucking missed her and her scent, fuck I could sniff her to death. I snuggle my face into the back of her head, inhaling her scent once more.
FUCK. FUCKING FUCKENING FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!? Someone's beside me and their fucking cuddling with me!? WHAT.THE.ACTUAL.FUCK. I'm so fucking scared right now I might die. I kinda regretted leaving my window open to get a fresh air. God please help me.
I continue to curse to myself while figuring out how to escape the stranger's hold of me. I slowly open my eyes and what the fuck!? They're sniffing me!? THE FUCK!? AND NOW THEY'RE TRYING TO KISS ME. PLEASE GOD, I'M SO SORRY IF I DIDN'T PRAY TO YOU UNTIL NOW BUT PLEASE SAVE ME. I DON'T WANNA DIE LIKE THIS, I STILL HAVE DREAMS AND GOALS TO FULFILL, I STILL HAVE TO PROPOSE TO VADA- wait a fucking minute. I finally opened my eyes and adjusted my vision to see my surroundings then I inhaled a scent of a perfume, the same perfume Vada wears.
I quickly sat up and jump out of my bed picking up the bat near my table and quickly turn the lights on. And there she is, Vada, shock evident on her face. "WHAT'S WRONG?" Vada asked me, voice full of panic. "NO! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!" I whisper shouted putting the bat back near the table. I rubbed my eyes and look at Vada, confusion still evident to her face. "what do you mean "what's wrong with me?"" Vada said trying to sit beside me. I take a quick look at her and laugh. "You can't just sneak in my room while I'm asleep and try to cuddle, okay? I almost died because of fear that someone is trying to kill me in my sleep." I stated calmly, still giggling at Vada who looks dumbfounded. I started to laugh and she soon followed. "I'm sorry I just fucking miss you, and I missed fucking you" "Oh, shut up" We continue to laugh and went back to bed and she suddenly kissed my nose then my forehead, then both of my cheeks and lastly my lips. The kiss is passionate, full of love and adoration. She kisses my lips like there's no tomorrow, like I'll disappear if she stops. She continue to pepper me with kisses and cuddle, snuggling our body with together sharing eachother's warmth and fell asleep with smile on our faces.

Part 1, Part 2, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7
Masterlist
Summary: being the kid of a well-known book store owner was easy, so was running into famous people. But being book smart doesn’t make everyone people smart.
A/N: me and my friend were talking what to have happen next yesterday and we remembered how R is ‘book smart’ but not people smart and I kept coming up with ideas that made R look kind of stupid and she kept saying “yeah cause she’s book smart, don’t forget’ I would have posted it yesterday if we had gotten anywhere but we could stop laughing.
Warning: my attempt at being funny?, bad writing, angst at the end if you squint?
Word count - 3.3k

You didn’t text her.
You told yourself it was nerves that were getting to you, the way Lyle kept insisting you texted her before she changed her mind.
A week after the whole incident you decided it was too late and that he was right, maybe she would have forgotten about it.
You could always hide in the storage room if she ever came back and let Lyle take care of her while you drowned in your own self pity on the floor next to the masses of boxes.
But what if she hadn’t? What if she was waiting for your message the day she put her number in your phone and never got it or the entire week after?
What if you did text her and she texted you right back?
You had doubted it but there was still a string of hope left in you as you continued to contemplate it all.
Dru said you were stupid for not even texting a simple ‘hey’ just so the celebrity could at least have your number.
Mj, of course, has been referring to you as coward instead of your name since the day after you talked to Jenna which only made you feel worse.
Would they do it differently if they were in your position? Mj would, already having had texted her the minute she left. Dru would have deleted the number as soon as he got it, he only had eyes for Mj it seems these days, and Lyle he would have done the same as Mj but at least waited a few hours.
So, your situation was different from theirs you supposed.
“That’ll be thirteen fifty.” The man behind the counter states in a monotone voice as you pull your card out.
You decided to go to 7/11 to cheer yourself up a bit after being insulting by your group of friends the whole time while playing Apex, not caring that you were still in your pajamas.
The large slushie and snacks were certain to cheer you up and allow you to brag to the group about.
You grab your bag before quickly making your way out of the door and sliding your ear buds back in before your phone buzzes.
Lyle🗿:
My freezie senses are tingling.
You snort as you quickly begin typing.
You:
Stop stalking me on life 360 loser
Lyle🗿:
Did you get me one?🥺
Your smile grows at his disregard your statement completely and getting straight to the point.
You:
No, since I’m such a dingbat weirdo
Lyle🗿:
I take it back, please, I need a slushie🙏🏼I’ll even get on my knees and beg
You roll your eyes knowing he’d do it for free if you asked.
You:
The day DD chops off his musty hair is the day I’ll get you a slushie.
Another notification goes off and you click it.
Dru Danvers🤓☝🏼
Fuck you🖕🏼
You continue to smile and text, unbeknownst the the person who stops suddenly behind you and looks back.
Their eyes lingers on you for a moment before looking to the much larger man who lets out and sigh and nods begrudgingly, the person smiles before rushing after you.
Just before you could cross the street, they touch your shoulder making you stop and look back.
Your eyes are met with the brown ones you’ve been thinking about nonstop as a smile comes across both your faces.
You yank out your ear buds, something you seemed to do whenever it was her specifically when it came to Lyle or the others they would have to yank them out to get you to listen.
“Hey,” she says, her smile still on her face as she looks up to you. “Hey.” you reply before looking up to the man who stood a few feet behind her then back down to her.
“So I never got that text you promised me.” She says in a teasing tone and you tense, your mind racing through excuses to tell her.
You laugh awkwardly and guiltily before rubbing the back of your neck. “Yeah, sorry about that I’ve just been busy lately I never got the time.”
She looks at you for a moment, clearly seeing through the lie and you wondered if she actually could with the way she was looking at you.
“Or..” she says as she begins walking past you. “You just didn’t want to text me.” She says sending you a playful glare but there was also something else.
As she turns around to continue walking, both you and the man on her heels, a deep frown forms on her face.
She had hoped she was wrong.
“What? No,” you reply quickly catching up too and walking beside her. It was quite the opposite, actually.
“I really was just..” you reply before stopping yourself. It felt like you were lying to the girl but you weren’t, you were just trying to save yourself the embarrassment of the truth.
But then again that was lying, about how you felt.
She looked toward you, the look of hope in her eyes seemed to crack you and you let out a sigh of defeat. “I really was just letting my nerves get to me.”
Her eyebrow raised slightly and you let out a huff, not liking the way this girl just made you want to spill every truth.
“I guess I was nervous to text you. I only really text my friends so I didn’t really know what to say.” You mumble, thinking about what Mj would say to this.
She can’t even see you, just text something it’s not that hard
She let out a hum, satisfied with your new answer while also satisfied hers was wrong.
“A simple ‘hey’ isn’t that hard.” She says, amused by your embarrassment and you huff out once again. The statement proving Dru right, not that you’d ever tell him that.
“It’s not everyday I get asked for my number,” you mumble and Jenna feels a smirk creep onto her face.
Good; she thought to herself as her smirk only grows on her face at the thought she was probably one of the first. Or at least she thought she was with how you described it.
“How else was I meant to react?” You ask.
She lets out a snort. “You didn’t, your friend did actually.” You roll your eyes and chuckle.
Your eyes travel to across the street to see some people hiding and taking pictures while others do the same not so subtly.
You grimace slightly before turning your attention back to the girl, deciding to ignore the group.
You smile before pulling out your phone and typing quickly and a ding comes from her pocket as you put yours back.
She takes her phone and opens the text to see the unknown number and the simple ‘hey’ added to it which makes her scoff lightly. You feel your smile grow bigger at her reaction, finding yourself very amusing.
“Very funny.” She rolls her eyes before sending a text herself and pushing it back down into her pocket.
“Thank you, I try very hard.” You say, looking forward to see the snow begin to fall again. Your smile grows knowing it’ll be a good day tomorrow at the shop.
Your eyes travel to the moon before letting out a hum at the lack of stars in the sky.
“Why are you out so late?” You ask and she shrugs. “I just like to walk, you?” She asks turning slightly toward you.
“Would you believe me if I told you I’m a very active person?” You ask, of course you weren’t but who wouldn’t want to make themselves seem impressive.
She looks you up and down slowly before a smirk forms on her lips. You look down to see your black and white plaid pajamas with you zip up sweat shirt, the snacks and slurpee in your hand only proving you wrong further.
You looked more like you were late to school and didn’t want to get dressed than out for a late night run.
“Touché.” You mumble nodding before looking up to see her smiling. “Did you just get out of bed?” She asks and you nod.
“Yes, actually.” You reply.
“Oh, makes sense.” she mumbles with a small smile before it falls. You quickly notice her eyes traveling to the people taking pictures making the both of you frown.
How someone could get used to cameras always in their faces was unknown to the both of you.
The non stop flashing or the loud yelling from a director seemed overwhelming to you and it was for Jenna.
“So,” you say before beginning to walk again. “Wednesday Addams?” You ask and she sighs before nodding.
“I thought you’d figure it out sooner or later.” She groaned softly making you chuckle.
“I kind of already knew, just needed to be reminded.” You admitted making her stare up at you in wonder.
“You knew me but didn’t know me?” She asks, too seriously for your liking. “I mean, yeah I used to watch you when you were younger with my friends. Stuck in the middle I think they said?”
She groans louder this time, clearly embarrassed by the thought of the show she starred the main character of.
“But other than that no.” You finished laughing as she rubs her hands down her face.
“There are literally so many others and you just had to have seen only that one, great.” She mumbles and shakes her head.
Too say she was embarrassed was an understatement, she has so many shows and movies she’s been in recently that she completely forgot about the ones of her younger self.
Her acting was good but not as good as it was now so it wasn’t really great to hear you say what you said.
“You’ve had to have watched something else?” She’s pleading now, her hand resting on your forearm as you look down at her. You shake your head and laugh as she groans once again.
“I don’t watch much TV.” You admit once again making her sigh. “At least watch Scream or Wednesday,” she says, huffing slightly.
“Just so you see how much I’ve improved?” She asks looking up to you and you nod, deciding not to tell her you don’t really remember much of the older show.
“Sure, if it’ll make you feel better.” She let’s out a sigh of relief. “Thank you, oh my god that’s so embarrassing.” She says looking around and shaking her head.
You smile down at the girl who continues to look around New York, mesmerized by all the sights as you both continue to ignore the paparazzi flashes and cameras.
You thought she looked stunning as snow fell on her head and eyes shining with wonder, the street lights only helping her look better if she could.
Suddenly the man steps up and taps Jenna’s shoulder making you both look back to him.
He points to her watch and Jenna’s face falls as she nods to the man who takes another step back, waiting for her patiently.
She looks up to you and gives you a sort of sad smile. “Sorry, I have to go.” She says gesturing to the man who sent you both a glance before looking back to the paparazzi who kept their distance for some reason.
“It was fun talking to you though.” She says and you nod. “Totally.” you say, voice cracking lightly making her smile grow.
You stare at her for a moment to take in how stunning she was from the front angel instead of the side now.
Her freckles seemed to be much more noticeable up close, eyes darker without the light and a smile that makes your heart skip a beat.
“Text me, I mean it this time.” She raises her eyebrow and unfortunately walks toward the man while leaving a cold spot from your side which makes you realize how close she actually was walking.
You clear your throat this time and nod, “I will and you too, now that you have it.” You say watching her look over her shoulder as the man leads her away.
You smile as you watch her walk away, eyes linger on the last place you saw her before you turn around and begin walking in the direction of your apartment.
Once you do get back, you’re greeted with your cat rubbing against your leg making you place down your bag and drink before walking toward his food bowl and feed him.
Once that’s done you looked back to your half melted slushie that had sacrificed itself so you could talk to Jenna making you let out a happy sigh as you put it in your freezer.
A buzz is heard from your phone making you reach back and pull it out of your pocket, a smile immediately forming on your face at the sight.
xxx-xxx-xxxx
So, you were gonna make text first?
————
You hear you alarm go off making you groan as you pull the covers from off your head. You hadn’t realized how late it was while texting Jenna that you had just fallen asleep on your own and you were starting to regret it.
You grab the alarm clock before pressing off and looking at the time.
9:23.
Your eyes shoot open, suddenly wide awake as you practically shoot yourself out of bed, your cat jumping off with you as he runs away.
That’s twice in one month had you scared him like that.
You realize you don’t have time to shower as you pull clothes on and grab your keys before rushing out of the door and running as fast as you could down the stairs — ignoring your neighbors scolding— and onto the street.
You continue to run before yanking the glass door open to see your mom who sends you a unamused look and your father who looks disappointed.
“You’re late.” She states matter-of-factly as you pull your t-shirt of, now only in your sports bra as you grab the shirt. “And now your indecent!” She says, rushing over and pulling your sweat shirt down for you.
“Animal!” She says, hitting you with her rolled up magazine she grabbed from the shelf.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t see what time it was last night before going to bed!” You say, trying to block her hits.
“Playing your game all night again I assume.” she states instead of asks making you nod your head. A little white lie won’t hurt.
“You’re an adult in college, Y/N.” Your father sighs and stands up from sitting in his chair. “You shouldn’t still be going to so late because of a silly game.”
His scoldings were much gentler than your mothers which makes you smile lightly. “I know, I’m sorry.” You mumble and he only nods before going back to work.
You looked to your mother who raises her eyebrow at you as she walks passed you. “You have a lot to do today as a consequence now, so I suggest you get to work.” She says, tossing you the clip board of work you need to do which is much longer than normal.
You huff out quietly while reading over it, knowing this is what you get for being late.
————
The day was quiet and you had a few more customers than usual so it was sort of busy as you rush around helping people while doing your work as the sun began to slowly set.
It was easier than expected but definitely a little stressful.
You were glad your parents were making you do this now though. Getting used to it all before taking over after they retire.
You were in the middle of helping a customer when you see Lyle practically sprinting down the street and toward the shop making you knit your eye brows together.
“You’ll find it in the romance section, just over there by the bean bags.” You say with a smile and the boy nods and leaves you to go find her book.
You look back over to seem him yank open the door, eyes scanning over the library before they land on you.
He moves as quickly as he can without being loud in the quiet library to get to you.
“There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you! You weren’t answering your phone and you weren’t at your apartment.” He says in a whisper yell as he pulls you down a aisle.
You knit your eye brows further as he pulls out your phone from his back pocket. “I got it for you when I went to see where you were,” he says shoving it in your hands. “Open it!” He ushers you while you just stare at him.
“What?” You ask, looking down at the device in your hand making him groan out in anger.
“Check your damn Insta!” He demands making you further confused but begrudgingly open the app making your eyes go wide.
You first thing you see is the 99+ symbol on your notifications tab and over two thousand messages next to it.
You click your profile not to see you one hundred and thirty followers but seventy thousand.
You click on the photo of you and Lyle, he was pushing you in a shopping cart down the road along with the other pictures you all had taken while high that night. It had over ninty thousand likes.
“What?” You mutter and Lyle nods. Before pulling up his twitter on his phone. “It gets better!” He says a little too loudly making the person in the aisle glance over in annoyance.
You give him an apologetic smile before look to see the link he put to your face.
Celebrity Jenna Ortega seen with lovestruck mystery woman in New York City. Could this be the start of a sprouting love story? Click here to read more..
Under it showed a picture of you and Jenna on the street last night with her staring toward the city and you staring at her.
Your eyes go wide as you take his phone and continue to scroll seeing the many pictures the paparazzi took last night along with the picture you recognized to be on Lyles Instagram.
“And let’s not forget the picture I took of you while we were playing chess.” He says, snatching his phone and opening his own Instagram before showing you the picture he took now had one hundred fifty thousand likes.
“You’re like, known world-wide as Jenna’s girl or something.” He says, smile on his face as he scrolls through his twitter looking at all the stuff they had to say about you and Jenna.
“Woah,” you say, zoning out slightly as you take a seat on the little stool nearby made for children. “This is…”
“Sick? I know, right? You just became famous over night.” Lyle says as he too takes a seat next to you.
You were gonna say unsettling or strange but that works to you. You hadn’t expected it but you now realize you should have.
With the paparazzi last night and you being with Jenna it was expected.
But it hasn’t even been a fully twenty four hours yet? How exactly had it happened so quickly? Was she really this popular
So many questions swirled in your head as something suddenly comes to your realization.
The real question was how people found you so quickly on Insta? That was probably the unsettling part, it felt like you were part of a man hunt but instead of joining it like you preferred you were what they were hunting for.
You think about texting Jenna but she quickly beats you to it as if she had telepathic abilities.
You wouldn’t have been surprised if she told you she did though with the way her eyes seemed to capture you in some form of trap.
You knit your eyebrows together as you read the message and your stomach drops slightly.
Read next part here!
A/N: idk if this is angsty thinking about it now🥲
I’m also begging like Lyle on my knees that you guys send me request🧎🏽‍♀️my pea brain can only think but so much

summary - You and Lorraine have been dating for a little while, and she wants to explore all of you…
warnings - smut!!!, oral (lorraine giving), handjobs, slight praising, virgin!reader
an - wanted to make Lorraine seem like an experienced person when it came to blowjobs
———————
“So like, have you ever had a blowjob?”
It was a peaceful, calm sunday night when Lorraine had asked you that. You were enjoying drinks together on the balcony overlooking you yard, the golden glow of a few candles as your only source of light. Her question made you gag, spitting your drink out onto the railing as you coughed with surprise.
“L-Lorraine!” You sputtered, looking to her with wide eyes.
“What?” She responded in confusion, like the previous question was the most normal thing in the world.
Lorraine had been dating you for about 7 months now, and it has been very enjoyable for you. She is a funny, sweet, and all around wonderful person who has secured a very tight spot in your heart. Honesty was a huge thing for her in a relationship, so early on you had sat her down and told her about your physical differences; thankfully, she was as supportive as ever and was perfectly fine with it.
Until she popped a question like this, so abrupt and out of the blue it caused you to spew out your Moscow Mule onto the law below.
“Have you?” She asked again, staring at you with anticipation.
“I mean no, you are my first relationship.” You said, fiddling nervously with your thumbs.
“I know that, but you could have had like, a hookup or something.”
You shook your head no, pursing your lips as you thought up a good reason for her sudden prodding of your sexual acts.
“The most I’ve ever done was masturbate.” You mumbled, blushing with embarrassment.
“Mediocre.” Lorraine sneered, sipping her vodka as she ogled at you.
Your pride flared up as your face went red. Mediocre? You were most definitely not basic, far from it actually. How could she say such a thing about you? Her girlfriend!
“I’d like to see you do any better…” You hissed, turning away with a huff.
“Okay.”
Your head snapped right back to her, watching as she set her drink down, walked over to you, and got on her knees. Her hands went up your thighs and to your zipper, carefully pulling it down as she gave you an innocent stare with her big, brown, gorgeous eyes.
Weirdly enough, you did nothing to stop her, gawking as she pulled your pants and then boxers down off of your hips. Your semi-hard cock throbbed uncomfortably as her hands rested beside it.
“Ready?” Lorraine asked, giving you a comfortable smile.
You slowly nodded, tracking her surprisingly expert movements. Her left hand slid down the dip of your hip, immediately wrapping around your almost-fully-standing penis. You shivered, the cool touch of her hand soothing the extensive heat your extra appendage was producing.
Gently and guiding, as if to teach you, Lorraine stroked your length. Her hand wasn’t to tight was definitely wasn’t loose, just the right amount of pressure as she started you off with your first handjob. Her eyes were focused on your face, watching your reactions to see what you liked best and least; as of right now, she was doing a pretty great job of getting you off.
“B-babe…I…” A subtle moan escaped your mouth, cutting off your protests.
Lorraine hummed in curiosity, and casually sped up her strokes as you whined and whimpered. Her other hand now came forward, reaching between your legs to cup your balls. She fondled them, squeezing and pulling gently as to figure out what made you feel good.
Soon you figured out she was trying to teach you and learn for herself what your most sensitive spots were. She would try different ways to please you, whether with squeezing or caressing, she was figuring out your sweet spots. A hiss of pain escaped your mouth when she squeezed one of your balls with her thumb and pointer finger, which she instantly stopped doing and never tried it again; that made you feel something giddy inside.
“You are really big.” Lorraine noted, staring at your cock lovingly.
“P-proud six inches..” You gritted, your hands clenching and unclenching as she pressed her finger into your gooch.
She ‘oooh’ed, now speedily stroking you to get you to your orgasm. Both hands were at work, twisting and squeezing as you finally came. Your cum spewed out, ropes covering Lorraine’s hand and face. She giggled, reaching up to wipe it off with her thumb; she stuck it in her mouth, smiling at your taste.
“That good?” You asked, quirking an eyebrow at her.
“Divine.” She said as she pulled her hair back into a ponytail.
You stared at her in shock, not expecting her to actually continue on. From how she was pushing your legs apart and settling herself in between them, you knew she was getting ready to give you head.
Her brown eyes gazed into yours, wide and innocent as she opened her mouth to press her tongue to the base of your cock. She licked her little heart out, dragging her tongue all the way around the diameter. She pressed a few kisses here and there, and left a few love bites on your balls before she slowly dragged her tongue all the way up your length.
The sight was, attractive to say the least. The way she watched you so seductively yet so innocently made you feel some foreign monster roaring inside of you. Eventually she made it to your tip, her tongue swirling and caressing the sensitive top.
Your eyes instantly rolled, nerves aflame as your head fell back in pure bliss. The press of her muscle had your cock throbbing for more, begging to be owned.
“Baby…more…please.” You murmured, desperate to feel just something else.
She complied, her lips wrapping around your tip and suckling carefully as you moaned in satisfaction. She had found your sweet spot, and boy was she going to abuse it. Slowly, she took your full length into her mouth, her spit coating it inch by inch. The supple licks and hums did wonders for your sensitivity, but what really got you going was when she began to suck you off.
She started at your base, the head of your cock snugly tucked into her throat as she started off slowly. There were light sucks at first, soft and caring as she tested you; she was searching again. She ever so slowly dragged up your cock, residing with only your tip remaining in her mouth.
Suddenly, she sucked hard and deep, trying to get your sensitivity ablaze. It worked, and your quiet moans turned into pitiful wails and sobs of pleasure as Lorraine fucking Day gave you your first ever blowjob. She hummed and sucked, her hands getting to work on twisting and squeezing your length. Her teeth grazed your slit, little nibbles causing you to groan out in satisfaction.
“Lorraine, I-I’m close!” You sobbed, your hips attempted to buck up.
She pulled back for a moment to speak, “Chase it baby” before continuing her assault on your cock. Her aggressive suckling and forceful squeezing from her hands brought you to your second orgasm, your seed shooting into her mouth as she swallowed you. The sounds and sight of her gulping and sucking was incredibly hot, and you almost never wanted it to stop.
“Lorraine…” You mumbled weakly, reaching for her and pulling her up to cuddle with you after she put you back into your boxers.
“Awh baby, I’m right here.” Lorraine cooed, letting herself straddle you as she helped you calm down.
Her hand wound itself into your hair, pulling your head to her chest as she scratched your scalp. She kissed your head a few times, murmuring sweet praises and compliments into your hair as she coaxed you to a relaxed state.
“What a gorgeous, talented girl.” She praised, pressing her lips to your forehead.
“Could say the same ‘bout you…” You whispered, burying your face into her chest.
Never will you misjudge Lorraine’s oral skills, but you made a mental note to always ask for it every once and awhile.

Hi, how are you doing? 💕 How do you think Mr Strickland treated "new 1985 fixed timeline Marty", would he still think he is a slacker? Or his vision changed because of George's character development?
Hello! I'm doing well, thanks. Hope you are too!
I think Strickland would generally go easier on Marty in the improved timeline, largely due to the change George underwent post Biff-punch. George being confident and well-respected would give him less fodder for berating Marty, since he can't claim that no McFly has ever amounted to anything.
This isn't to say that things between Marty and Strickland would be great, of course. It's entirely possible that he'd still see those slacker tendencies in Marty simply because of Marty's personality. When it comes down to it, he's still that impulsive, rebellious kid who probably doesn't do great in school. I'm sure Strickland could find plenty of things to critique about Marty.
The difference, though, is that I think Lone Pine Strickland would be kept "in check" by both George and Lorraine. They're no longer the apathetic, troubled people they were in the original timeline, and I imagine they're both very involved in their kids' lives. If Strickland ever dared to say anything insulting or cruel toward Marty, George and Lorraine would absolutely be standing outside his office later that very day to have a discussion with him and settle the matter.
So, I think Strickland would behave differently toward Marty partly because of respect for the way George turned his life around PLUS the added knowledge that he can't mess with the youngest McFly without feeling the wrath of his parents.
Thanks for the ask!

She Don’t Wanna Marry Me
Tumblr media
Part 5
You wake up groaning and with a bad back.
You crack your neck from side to side waiting for that all too familiar pop before you get up and grab a glass of water and some Tylenol. Once you finish you make your way to your bedroom.
“Raine?” You try not to be too loud as you approach. You’re met with another groan making you chuckle before you gently place the water and pills on the bedside table next to her.
“Take those and I’ll make us some breakfast yeah?” The girl just groans again making you laugh and think back to the first time you’d send her drunk.
14 years old
“I don’t know Raine what if your parents find out?” The smaller girl rolled her eyes.
“They’re out of town and we can get more from the store before they notice it’s gone.” Big brown eyes looked at you accompanied by a small pout.
“Please.”
You sigh twisting open the small bottle full of brown liquor. You take the first swig making the girl smile triumphantly. She danced in her seat before you passed her the bottle chuckling as she winced and coughed from the after burn.
“That’s disgusting.” You laugh taking another swig. “How can you not die after drinking that?”
You shrug swirling the bottle around. “I may have snuck in sips when my mom wasn’t looking. She left bottles open a lot.”
A saddened silence falls over both of you before Lorraine nudges your shoulder.
“Bet I can out drink you.” She grins at you, you grin back scoffing.
“Little ole you? Pfft I’ll
Win this easy. What are we betting on?”
“Loser has to buy dinner?” You smirk internally, already knowing you planned on getting her a slice of her favorite pizza from the corner store down the road. As you always did every Friday.
“Deal.”
Twenty minutes later Lorraine’s small body was leaning against yours barely able to hold her own weight, head on your shoulder as you try to keep her up.
“C’Mon Rainey let’s get you some pizza.”
“Pizza!” She jumps up excited and begins running almost tripping over her own feet before you catch her.
Laughing you pull her back against you to keep her upright.
After finally getting her into your house, your mom nowhere to be found as usual. You gently lay her on your bed.
“You ok Raine?” She hums eyes closed as she smiles.
“Mhmmm.” You catch yourself staring for a moment her slightly red cheeks brushed by long eyes lashes. You brush a finger across her cheek making her hum once again and lean forward. Blearily brown eyes lock onto yours.
“Y/n?” You gulp at the sudden change in atmosphere.
“Yeah Raine?”
“Do you think I’m pretty?”
Your eyes flash down to soft pink lips. “I think you’re gorgeous.”
The smaller girl hums unconvinced before she laughs.
“I think you’re lyin’.”
You stroke her cheek softly making her nuzzle herself further into your bed.
“I am.” Lorraine frowns eyes wide as she stares at you horrified. You lean in a little closer. “I don’t think you’re gorgeous I know you are, but even that isn’t good enough to describe what I really think of you.”
Blunt fingernails slightly dig into the back of your neck. “Swear you mean it?”
Dark eyes bore into yours as you nodded.
“Y/N! I KNOW YOU TOOK MORE MONEY AND MY LIQUOR YOU LITTLE SHIT!”
It’s a flurry of movement as you pick up Lorraine and hid her in the closet. Next to her a kaleidoscope.
“No matter what don’t come out.” You shut it quickly as your mom barged in the room.
Lorraine picked up the toy looking in to find a sky full of stars looking back at her. She didn’t realize she hadn’t moved for 30 minutes until you came to get her.
You came back with a busted lip and a scrape above your eyebrow but still smile at her as if she’s the only thing that matters.
“Come on, let’s get you some rest and I’ll take you home in the morning.”
You brought back to reality by shuffled footsteps. Placing two plates on the table you feed Lorraine then yourself. She lets out a quiet thank you as you two eat in silence.
Lorraine stares for a moment hand reaching out to stroke the scar on your eyebrow. “I’m sorry.”
You furrow your eyebrows at her slowly chewing on a pancake.
“I don’t know why I-“
You chuckle. “It’s alright Raine.”
She shook her head. “No you took care of my drunk ass…again.”
You laugh. “It’s nothing new.”
She tries to hide her smile but fails.
“You know as long as we’ve known each other I’ve never seen you drunk. Why is that?”
You breathe softly through your nose amused.
“Because you can’t carry me home short stack.” She gasps in fake shock.
“Rude.” You smile cheekily at her as you go to stand making her do the same. She backs away slowly as if you’re a lion waiting to pounce.
“Don’t you dare-AHH”
She tries kicking and punching but you have her too high up.
Once you put her down back in her seat safely she giggles.
You get her back home before you start your shift. As always you try to shove away the thought of waking up to brown eyes, freckles and a pretty smile.
Back at the Days after she’d gotten settled in, Lorraine goes downstairs to find Bobby, Maxine and her parents looking at old photos.
Her mom pulls up one of her favorites. It’s you smiling wide with a trophy surrounded by teammates and Lorraine, her parents just a step behind the crowd. But that’s not what catches Bobby’s eye. It’s the brunette next to you. She looks from the girl in the photo to the girl in real life finding the look on her face to be something more. Something she’s not even sure Lorraine has admitted to herself yet.

Top Shelf pt. 2
Part 1, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7
Masterlist
Summary: being the kid of a well-known book store owner was easy, so was running into famous people. But being book smart doesn’t make everyone people smart.
Warning: my writing, I don’t know how to fully play chess so it’s a bit weird haha, very awkward, a little rushed if you come back tomorrow sometime after twelve it should be better
Word count - 3.1k

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“So,” Lyle starts as you move a piece across the chess board and look up to him then back down at the half played board. “You mean to tell me you ran into Jenna Ortega—“ he says through gritted teeth and puts his hands together and leans his forehead against them.
“—and you didn’t know who she was? She’s known world-wide after her recent show on Netflix!”
Why was he so surprised? He knew your parents situation and how it was critical that your mothers family didn’t find her.
Why would you want to be on social media so much anyway? All the drama involving celebrities and people switching up on them after finding some stuff they don’t like.
Hell people could even find information to black mail or threaten you with, that would just be your luck.
It was better to not get caught up in all of that. All you had was Instagram that had nothing to do with the last name and TikTok with no post that you barely used.
“You know I don’t watch a lot of TV.” You mumble watching him move the white piece taking your black on the board between the two of you. “Dude,” Mj starts looking up from pride and prejudice.
“We all used to watch her on stuck in the middle in sixth grade at Rosa’s place before Marco moved.” She says, clearly uninterested in the conversation yet wanting to be right.
You knit your eye brows together making Lyle stare at you like you were some kind of idiot. “She played Harley, middle child AKA stuck in the middle.” You continue to stare dumb founder.
The large man only groans and Mj scoffs at your lack of knowledge. Dru is then seen, holding a pile of games he wanted to try out.
“The chick with the hot sister who used her for an invention with her boyfriend.” He hums, placing the games next to the computer nearby.
Realization hits you like a brick and you nod, now knowing who they were talking about and the seeing the resemblance.
She both sounded and looked older now, you noted before moving a chess piece.
“If that’s what it takes for you to remember things then we’re all doomed.” Mj states as she pulls her legs up to her chest.
“Okay, when did she come exactly?” Lyle stares at the board, eyes clearly focused but keeping his attention on the conversation.
You think back to the interaction as he makes his move. “A few hours ago, right after lunch when people usually come in.”
“Wonder how she got here without getting noticed.” Mj wonders out loud. This girl must have been a big deal if she can’t get away without being noticed.
“Check,” Lyle hums and your eyes snap back to the board to see him move his piece. You narrow your eyes at the board for a moment and huff out.
You two had decided to create your own set of rules after playing together for so long it had become a bit boring. With his idea, you both made the game a little more interesting and complicated.
“She probably has little disguises, you know to specifically get away from the paps.” Dru mumbles, face inches away from the screen.
You grimace at the sight, now seeing why he needed glasses yet he was still doing it with them on.
“He has a point.” Lyle replies watching you make your move before his smile grows. “Checkmate.” He flaunts making you groan as he snatches your king.
“Your slacking, Y/N, do better.” He shakes his head before putting all the pieces back in place.
His teasing only making you groan again, louder this time making him chuckle.
“You’re making me feel like a sin getting scolding by his father after a bad game.” You mumble before sitting up again and making the first move.
“Good,” he laughs watching you make the same move as before. “You need it.” He says in response.
“Fuck the game, what are you going to do about Jenna Ortega?” Mj speaks up closing her book and slamming it on the table.
Usually, you’d scold her for doing so but it was after hours and no one was inside to bother.
Lyle huffs. “Never say that again, this game is very important.” Mj rolls her eyes in response, everything was important to him.
“What would you have me do? Send her a quick text and ask her to come back?” You laugh at the thought.
It would have to be a miracle to get any celebrities number, it would have to be a god send to get her phone number.
“You’re such a pessimist.” Lyle snorts and you send him a glare. “I would be if a cute celebrity showed up and I never saw her again.” Dru calls out making you huff.
“I will see her again, actually. I think, at least.” Mj perks up at this. “Oh? How so?” She asks, leaning forward on the table.
You send her a glare and lean away. Why was she suddenly acting like a fourth grade friend who finds out about your crush.
“She borrowed the book, so she kind of has to come back.” You grumble scooting your seat farther away from her.
You didn’t really think you’d actually be excited for someone to return for a book. Sure, there were cute people that came in and out of the library all the time. But none had really had any real affect on you like she did.
Though the interaction was short and quick, it was probably one of the most interesting ones you had with a customer.
You’d do anything to see those freckles in person again.
The clicking sound of a phone brings you out of your thoughts as you glance up to Lyle whose holding up his phone.
“Sorry,” he mumbles as he begins angry typing. “You just looked so aesthetic with the chess board, I gotta post it to Insta.”
You roll your eyes before they move to Mj who paces back and fourth.
“Okay, so that would probably be your only chance at actually talking to her.” She says as if she were talking to herself.
“She’s so delusional
“That is if you don’t fuck it up,” she mutters that last part with a as she continues pacing making you point to your face that is clearly unamused.
“But how will you do that? You’re a horrible flirt, that much is true and your humor is as dead as Lyle’s hair.”
“Hey!” He quickly goes to cover his purple hair with his large arms. “There’s no hiding that atrocities.” Mj rolls her eyes, once again for the hundredth time tonight.
“I say you just go for it.” Dru says tapping his computer key quickly and you notice the game to be ‘cookie clicker’, an online game that is not any of the games in his pile.
“Be yourself and you’ll be fine, if she doesn’t like that oh well.” He says inching closer to the screen, glasses almost touching it.
“Wow DD,” Lyle says, looking up from his screen that was suddenly getting lots of notifications. “I never thought you could be so poetic.” He teases and Dru sends him a side eye glare.
“That wasn’t even poetic, just common sense.” He replies, eyes traveling back to his screen.
Lyle sticks his tongue out at the older man who doesn’t even notice.
“I want sushi,” You say standing up watching the abandoned chess pieces fall from their place. “Let’s go get some.”
“Right behind you,” Mj says eagerly as she grabs her book and jacket, Lyle not too far behind her.
“Wait, give me a second!” Dru calls but you just laugh and continue your way to the door.
“Wait! I want sushi too! Stop!” He calls out louder as Lyle holds the door open. “Just abandon mission dude! Sushi is way better.” Lyle says as you begin walking down the street, Dru coming out not long after making sure to lock the door.
————
You carefully pull books out of the return section as the beat of your music rings through your ears making you bop your head lightly.
You glance over to Lyle who sat in the desk chair, playing Call Of Duty mobile on his phone. You wouldn’t usually be allowed to do that but it was a particularly slow day.
It had been two weeks since Jenna had last came to the library and to say you were disappointed was an understatement.
You knew it could be months before she would have to return the book and you would have to charge her for it if she really didn’t and that is what you didn’t want to do.
Mj made sure you didn’t forget either, sending you cheesy pick-up lines and ‘how to flirt’ website which only aggravated you and hurt your ego.
You did look at a few though and had to admit some were actually good while others made you skin crawl.
You don’t notice the sound of the bell ringing or the way Lyle quirks up slightly glancing toward you
Jenna looks up to him as her body guards walk to a side table in front of the window allowing her a little freedom to walk after seeing there weren’t many people.
He makes his lips into kissy form and a small ‘ooh’ leaves before turning to you, back turned as you sort through the books.
He looks back to Jenna who is now standing at the front desk contemplating to help her or not.
He decides against it but doesn’t want to leave the celebrity waiting. He stands up and quickly grabs the closest thing to the back room door before putting his finger to his lips.
“Shh..” He says, eying her as a playful threat before chucking the item at you and rushing through the door.
The thing hits your head and you whip around, barely missing Lyle as your eyes land on Jenna who held her books, glancing between the storage room and you.
“Did you..” you say, pulling your headphones out and picking up a mouse key that had been ripped off from the cord. “Did you just throw a mouse key at me?” You ask with playful tone as you walk toward her.
Jenna thinks back to Lyle’s silence threat before speaking. “You weren’t paying attention, it’s bad customer service.” She just shrugs.
“Oh, my bad.” You say putting your hands up in defense and her smile grows. “I’m sorry I was doing my job,.” You say shaking your head before playing glaring at her.
Be confident, all girls like that!
Mj’s words ring through your head making you cringe slightly.
Not too confident, that’ll get you punched.
Dru had stated after and your lips pull up at the memory of Dru getting punched at the skating rink during you tenth grade year.
You think of all the pick-up lines that actually seemed subtle and weren’t cringe worthy but decided against it as she pushes the books toward you.
“So, what’d you think?” You ask taking them and scanning the under the red light and pressing the ‘return’ button on the computer screen.
“I actually enjoyed between shades of gray surprisingly even though it was pretty dark,” she says shyly and you nod. “But the other wasn’t really good.”
“Just shows I have better taste than you.” You tease lightly, attempting to flirt but realizing it wasn’t actually flirting.
You were starting to realize how bad of a glitter you really were and Mj was right.
You feel your phone buzz go off multiple times at a time as Lyle comes out of the storage closet with a box full of old tapes you had just put back in there a little while ago.
He takes his seat and watches through the corner of his eye, looking through the black blocks clearly acting like he was doing something as he ease-dropped.
You roll your eyes before leaning against the counter, rolling your thumbs around each other, becoming nervous by the sudden pressure of his gaze.
“Does he always stare at you like that?” She suddenly asks, amusement clear in her voice making you snort.
“Unfortunately yes,” you say and his head yanks toward you, fake offense taking over his features. “He’s always been weird but I guess that’s what makes us friends.”
He forms a heart with his hands before blowing you a kiss making you grimace at the large man.
“So,” you say looking back up to her, noticing her biting the inside of her lip slightly before looking back to you. “Looking for anything else or should I just get back to work?” You ask, smirking slightly as you look up toward her.
You hear a quiet snort come from Lyle and send him a mental glare in the process. Oh how you wished it was Dru here instead, hell even Mj would do.
“Actually, yes.” She says, perking up slightly at your mention. “I was hoping to get another suggestion from you, since you know.” She finishes making you raise an eye brow and hum to yourself.
You think through the hundreds of books you’ve read before coming to your conclusion and standing up straight.
“I have one,” you say and she nods. “I figured.” She replies as you pass through the low door and around the counter.
“It’s sort of the same as Between Shades of Gray, same time frame.” You say walking toward the historical section. “I will need to help get it though,” you snort to yourself, feeling glare in the back of your head.
“I’m actually six foot two if you remember correctly, it’s just the angle your looking at that makes me look shorter.” She argues and your smile grows.
“I’m sorry, I completely forgot I hope I haven’t offended you too deeply.” You tell her, bowing slightly as she passes you walking into the aisle with her head high.
“But in all seriousness,” you say scanning over the the spines of the books. “What made you think the name ‘Top Shelf’ wouldn’t be quite literally the top shelf.” You reach out and grab the book ‘The Book Thief’ before turning to her.
“I thought it was like a metaphor or something.” she mumbles taking the book from your hands, reading the cover.
“Oh definitely, especially with the owners being tall themselves.” You say, laughing at her glare at you through her eye lashes.
She rolls her eyes before moving past you and toward the front desk.
You follow after her quickly and go behind the desk again before pushing past Lyle who was messing with the computer.
“Excuse you,” he stares at you wide eyed as you click back to the search bar. “Your fault you were in my way.” You mumble only giving him a glance.
“Name?” You asks glancing toward and you can almost feel the glare Lyle gives you.
“You’re joking?” She asks, clearly unamused. “It’s policy.” You send her another playful smile watching huff out.
“Jenna Ortega.” She says before Lyle pinches your side making you jump slightly. “Stop that,” you whisper before kicking your leg back at him, you miss completely.
“Burrowing or buying?” You ask and she again, rolls her eyes. “Burrowing.”
You feel Lyle pinch your other side and you send him a glare, clearly wanting him out of your bubble and away from your conversation. “You’re so annoying.” You say before watching him stick his tongue and move back to his seat.
You look back toward Jenna who was, once again, chewing her lip.
You take her credit card and swipe it quickly, using your hand to keep him a safe distance away from you.
“Anything else?” You ask, glancing up to the girl who is already staring at you.
“Actually,” she mumbles quietly as Lyle pinches your arm pit making you elbow his chest and he lets out a hard huff.
“You seem pretty cool and I was wondering..” she hesitates for a moment, trying her best to maintain eye contact which makes Lyle stop, chest against your back.
She continues you hesitate as you bag the book and slide it toward, you fidgeted slightly as anxiety creeps up to your core.
“If I could have your number? Or maybe I could give you mine?..” there’s a sort of shyness in her voice and she begins to bite the inside of her lip again.
You stare at her dumb founded a second, not fully expecting that.
But then again it was very obvious it was coming from the first part of her sentence, that was clear especially to Lyle who glances between you two.
The two wait for your response that seems to never come which makes Lyle’s eye twitch and Jenna to shift on her feet.
“You can say no, of course I just thought I’d ask.” She says, voice even quieter which makes Lyle decided to take matters into his own hands.
He snatches the phone from your pocket and sends you a small knowing smirk before turning to the girl. “Excuse her, she’s not used to these kind of interactions.” He says unlocking you phone and opening your contacts and going to the number screen.
“She is, after all, a librarians daughter. She just has no game what’s so ever.” He shakes his head and clicks his mouth. You quickly snap out of your dazed state to glare toward him.
“Yeah, sorry but I’d actually love that.” You say before watching her smile grow and all the nervousness leave her body as she begins to type.
“Cool,” she says before handing you your phone back. “Very cool.” Lyle states as he nods and gives you a knowing look.
“Text me,” she says before picking up her bag and walking toward the door. “I mean it!” You watch her stern look as her body guards stand and open the door for her with a goofy smile on your face.
“I will!” You call out as the door shuts behind her.
“Holy shit,” Lyle mutters watching her walk down the street. “Holy shit.” You repeat, still a little shocked by the whole situation.
“Jenna Ortega thinks my best friend is cool and gave her her number.” He says pulling out his phone and typing quickly before you feel a buzz in come from the phone in your hand.
You open the text messages in the group chat and see a series of text between Lyle, Mj and Dru. They had to have been spamming the entire time.
You read over the last text and snort.
My best friend is cooler than you, you also owe me twenty bucks <3

parings- lorraineday x gp!reader summary - you are an openly gay gas station worker, and a certain girl wants your help. warnings - oral sex (R giving), penetrative sex, (R giving), comedy, lame jokes :) an - unsure about this cause it’s my first time writing gp! but whateve :3 (also not proofread)
———————
It was simple, you were gay.
See, in 1979 people did not approve of homosexuality, not one bit. You always felt like you got the blunt end of homophobia, seeing that everyday people treated you like absolute garbage. It also didn’t help that you were born with an extra…appendage.
Unfortunately, you worked at a gas station that almost everyone always stopped at. You had been mistaken for a younger boy many times before, but once anyone found out you were in fact a girl, their whole attitude changed in an instant.
“Uh, actually. I’ll pass on the drink.” The man in front of you said, eyeing you with disgust as you attempted to hand him his already paid for drink.
You sighed, watching him hurry out to his truck and pull off with break-neck speed.
“Great.” You muttered, walking around the counter to go return the drink to its shelf.
Days like these make you feel uncomfortable and emotional. Usually you were a very thick-skinned person, but when it came to older men and women deciding to criticize you, it broke down your walls very easily.
Suddenly, the ding of a bell at the front counter startled you, making you hurry back to your station to serve the next customer.
“I’m so sorry, I was restocking and didn’t see you…” You started to ramble until you looked up to see who was waiting to check out.
A girl, around your age, stood before you. Her hair was long, a nice cocoa brown, and was waved perfectly around her shoulders. Freckles danced across her nose and settled under her large doe eyes. She smiled, raising an eyebrow at you as she waved a hand in front of your face.
“You alright?” She asked, a small southern accent tilted into her words.
“No..YES…i’m fine.” You said, a lopsided grin coating your face as you scratched behind your neck.
“Sure…anyways, I was hoping to buy these?” The girl held up a bag of chips and a water.
“Oh, of course.” You said, hurrying to ring her up.
Your fingers danced across the cash register, pulling out a paper of the prices for her items.
“Two dollars and fifty cents.” You said, looking up to see her messing around with her purse in frustration.
“Damn, I think I left my wallet at home.” She grumbled, pulling her lip between her teeth as her tongue slipped out slightly.
You watched her, a blush covering your cheeks as her tongue moved over her lip slowly. Ideas and fantasies of her and you doing, things, flooded your mind and you immediately felt very very dirty.
“You know, just forget it. I’m sorry for wasting that time.” The girl sighed, giving you a small smile before moving to leave.
“WAIT.” You shouted, jumping forward to grab her wrist.
She looked at you in complete shock, a look of pure confusion etched onto her face as you bent over the counter.
“You can…pay…in other ways…” You said slowly, watching for her reaction.
She stared at you, her mouth falling open as her eyebrows furrowed. Then, out of the blue, she smirked in such a seductive way that you almost fainted.
“How so, pretty girl.” She asked, stepping towards you.
Now it was your turn to smirk at her, your eyes glistening with mischief. You stood up, leaning your pelvis against the edge of the counter.
“Well, the back room is open.” You suggested in a sultry voice, your hips swaying, “And there is this large, sturdy, and long table back there…”
“Sturdy..?” She questioned, slowly setting her purse down.
“Hard.” You whispered.
She hummed before hurrying around the counter to drag you into the back room. Your hands were all over each other; up your shirt, down her pants, on her face as you pulled her into a kiss.
She tasted so interesting, like fresh cherries on a hot summer day. The way her lips locked with yours made it seem like they were meant to be together; it was pure bliss.
“Mmph, god…” She sighed as you sucked a mark onto her neck.
“Lay down.” You commanded, trying to push her back against the table.
She huffed, grabbing your hand to make you stop. You pulled your head back to look up at her, raising an eyebrow.
“I didn’t agree with you topping.” She said, tapping your lips with her pointer finger.
“I didn’t realize you were a dominant girl.”
“I’m a switch actually.”
“So then it shouldn’t matter?”
“No it doesn’t, but I thought I was going to take charge?”
“If you want to you can…”
“No.” She smiled, caressing your cheek, “You can do all the heavy work.”
You chuckled, your thumbs hooking into the band of her shorts to pull them off.
“Like you are heavy.” You mumbled before finally pushing her back to lay down.
You were gentle, being slow and kind to remove her panties and make sure that she was not in any way uncomfortable. You stroked her thighs, in awe of how soft her skin was, and focused your attention to between her legs. She was soaked, her velvety folds begging to be spread open and fucked.
“Wow..” You whispered, inhaling deeply so you could memorize her scent.
“Are you just going to stare or…” The girl questioned but you shushed her when you darted your tongue out to lick up a stripe along her entrance.
She mewled, a sound you’ve never heard before, and threw her hand back against the wooden surface. That noise seemed good to you, so you repeated your action a few more times before you just shoved your tongue inside of her.
A cry erupted from her lips, her fingers threading into your hair to pull you impossibly closer. Her thighs tightened around your head as you sloppily ate her out. Your focus was more on working her up, not making her cum quite yet.
“Oh..please…right there…”
Oh.
She’s already begging.
You gave yourself a pat on the back for being so damn good at head before burying your face closer into her heat. Your tongue explored, finding all the corners and crevices inside of her, but as soon as you found that sensitive spongy spot, you pulled away.
“What the fuck?” She exclaimed breathlessly, half glaring at you.
You smirked, rolling up the sleeve on your work shirt before pressing your thumb down onto her clit. You proceeded to do tight, fast circles to ensure she would be loose and wet enough for you to use your fingers on her.
“You know, we skipped a lot of steps.” You said, pushing one of her knees away from you so her legs would be spread farther.
“Wha-”
“I think you should answer some questions before I give you what you keep begging for.”
The girl made a sound that was mixed with a groan and a whine, making you raise an eyebrow and stop your movements.
“Or I can go back to work?” You offered, moving to return to the front counter.
“No!” She yelled, grabbing your wrist to keep you there, “I’ll answer anything.”
You smiled, leaning over to kiss her cheek before you continued your assault on her clit. Again pushing her knee away, you checked to see if she was ready for you, and she was.
“Let’s start off easy, hm? I never caught your name.” You said, unbuckling your pants to pull your cock out of your boxers.
“L-Lorraine.” She stuttered, her eyes shut tightly as you button pressed her clit.
“Cute name, I’m Y/N.” You replied before pushing half of your length in.
Lorraine’s eyes shot open in shock, immediately darting down to watch you work yourself into her. She was still exceedingly tight, even after all the foreplay you did, but you knew a few rounds would break her in fully.
“Where’d you come from? Family’s house?” You asked, slowly filling her up inch by inch until you were fully sheathed inside of her.
You didn’t get a response, and looked up to see her head thrown back with her eyes rolling. Clearly she had never had something, or someone, like this.
“Hey.” You called, leaning over her to grab her face, “Answer my question.”
She gulped, her eyes focusing on something else in the room as a means to try and remember what you asked.
“I…I don’t…” She tried, avoiding your disappointed gaze.
“That’s to bad.”
Your hips snapped forward, bumping the head of your cock against that spongy spot deep inside of her. Without giving her a chance to regroup, you pounded yourself into her, moans erupting from her lips as you stretched her apart.
“I’ll ask again.” You said, pulling her head back by her hair so you could mark her neck, “Where did you come from?”
“H-Houston!” She squeaked as you twitched your hips to the left.
You hummed into her skin, feeling content with how many hickeys you left on her neck, and proceeded to pull her legs up and over your shoulders; mating press position.
“How about school. What do you do?” A heavy thrust from your hips sent her eyes rolling and her back arching quite high.
You knew she was drunk on lust, who wouldn’t be in this position, but you were enjoying messing with her and you refused to let up just because she wanted to come.
“Lorraine.” You sing-songed into her ear as your thrusts went from fast and hard to sluggish and deep, “I asked you a question~.”
“I-I’m studying…filmography…” She huffed, leaning her face against yours as your pace sped up again.
“I like movies too, but i’m more of a book person.”
You nipped her ear lobe, soothing the bite before you shoved your mouth against hers. She moaned into you, your tongues intertwining while she wrapped her arms around your neck. The feeling of her walls suddenly pulsing and tightening around you caught your attention.
She was close, really close, but you knew she needed just a tad bit more before she could release; so your pace quickened, faster and deeper as you plowed your cock into her. One of your hands slid down her stomach to find her clit, where you immediately began to speedily button press again.
“Such a pretty girl.” You purred as she wailed, smiling fondly at her distressed state.
Her arms pulled at you, trying to bring you back to being close to her; you caved in almost instantly and buried your face into the side of her neck.
“Let go Lorraine, I want you to squirt on my cock.”
At that statement she finally came, her cries echoing in the small space as she indeed squirted all over you. Your pace slowed as she pulsed erratically around you, her walls clamped so tight you couldn’t pull out.
“Ah…fuck.” You groaned, feeling your own release come involuntarily.
“Don’t worry.” Lorraine sighed, running her fingers through your hair, “I’m on a contraceptive.”
You breathed out, relaxing against her as you both slowly relaxed. It was a peaceful embrace until the sound of the door bell caught your attention. You turned back to her, a sheepish smile on your face. She rolled her eyes.
“Duty calls.” She said, pressing a kiss to your nose.
“But I don’t wanna leave you here.” You mumbled, your smile turning into a frown.
”Aww.” Lorraine cooed, caressing your cheek lovingly, “Don’t worry…”
She pulled herself up so her mouth was beside your ear, her sultry south accent ringing out.
“I’m not going anywhere daddy.”

Tumblr media
It’s family movie night in the Munson house, but unlike most other quality times with you and the boys, Eddie can’t focus on the film that’s playing on the television. Ryan brought home yet another disappointing progress report. Not only is that unusual for his eldest son, but it’s also frustrating because when Ryan comes home to do his homework, he always understands it. Be it you or Eddie who goes over it with him once he’s finished, both of you can confirm that the kid knows his stuff. So why are his grades suffering?
At first, Eddie was concerned that Ryan was being bullied. He had brought up to you the idea of teaching Ryan how to fight, but you insisted it would be better to talk to Ryan’s teacher and see if she noticed anything. Mrs. Renner told Eddie that she had not seen anything out of the ordinary, but she would keep a special eye on Ryan. After two weeks of observing Ryan and other students throughout the day, she was able to report back to Eddie that everyone seems to like Ryan and he had no problems with anyone those entire two weeks. It was a relief, but Eddie was back to square one.
Possibilities still running through his mind like crazy, Eddie absent-mindedly rubs his thumb across the small strip of your skin exposed as your t-shirt rides up.
“My powers are beyond your mortal imagination. For instance, my eyes can see straight through your armor. Oooh! All right, that's it! Dishonor! Dishonor on your whole family! Make a note of this. Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow, dis…”
The small, red dragon's rant barely registers in Eddie’s mind as his eyes trail over to Ryan, sitting on the other side of you. His son’s face is all scrunched up as he looks towards the television, his small body even leaning as forward as he can in his seat. Eddie’s brows furrow as he watches Ryan for a few moments, and the boy’s facial muscles don’t move at all.
“Uh, bud? Ry? Can you see the TV okay?” Eddie asks.
“It’s kinda blurry, isn’t it?” Ryan asks, scrunching his face up to squint even more. “Is it ‘cause it’s an old TV?”
You swivel your head towards your boyfriend and the two of you share a knowing look. Eddie’s shoulders sag with relief, a simple solution to an issue that’s nagged at him for weeks may be within reach.
“It’s not blurry,” Luke blurts out from his place on the floor in front of the couch. His Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle coloring book is flipped open in front of him, half colored and half covered in butter stains from the six-year-old’s fingers that keep digging into the popcorn bowl. “TV’s fine,” Luke follows up, spewing a few kernels out of his full mouth.
Movie pushed from your mind at this new revelation you may have stumbled upon, you turn yourself on the couch to face Ryan better. Eddie adjusts his arm that was around you to simply wrap his arm around your middle and lets his fingers glide softly over the cotton of your t-shirt.
“Um, Ryan?” you ask, watching his adorable little face as it pinches up this way and that to watch the animated singing soldiers on the television. “Where do you sit in your class?”
Now Ryan’s face just scrunches up in confusion; to him, this question came out of nowhere.
“By the bulletin board and the bathroom key hanging on the wall. Right behind Lorraine Poe,” he says.
“Oh, sweetie, no, I meant, like, towards the front, towards the back…” you trail off.
“Kinda middle I guess,” Ryan answers with a shrug, turning back towards the movie.
Eddie lets out a gentle sigh and you lean your body back against his. His large, warm hand rubs over your belly for a moment as he watches his son’s profile.
“Can you see the board okay?” Eddie asks. “At school?”
“Sometimes,” Ryan answers, the song in the movie pulling most of his focus.
“Sometimes?” his dad questions.
“Yeah. Sometimes my teacher writes so small that I can’t always see what it says, though.”
You frown and tilt your head down onto Eddie’s shoulder.
“Have any of the other kids said anything about her writing being too small?” you ask.
“No.”
“Ry?” Eddie clears his throat. “I think maybe we should take you to an eye doctor.”
This captures the eight-year-old’s attention back from the screen. He pulls his knees up to his chest and wraps his arms around them. It makes your heart ache at how small and vulnerable he looks like this, the fear of going to the doctor evident on his cherubic face.
“Why?” he asks softly.
“Well, it sounds like you’re having trouble seeing. The board at school is blurry, the television here is blurry,” Eddie points out.
“I don’t want to go.” Ryan shakes his head.
“Why not, sweetie?” you ask as you reach forward to move some hair off of his forehead.
Ryan’s fingers start to fidget where they’re pressed up against his jeans and he begins to gnaw on his lower lip—a few nervous habits he picked up from his father.
“What if there’s something wrong with my eyes?” he asks in a small voice.
“Ryan, honey.” You lean forward out of Eddie’s grip so you can wrap your arms around the eldest Munson brother. “There is nothing wrong about needing some help to see. Plenty of people do.” You hold him against your chest and rub your hand up and down his arm soothingly.
“I don’t want glasses,” he mumbles.
Being a kid is hard enough already. Add how soft spoken Ryan is and add new glasses on top of it, and you can understand where he’s coming from. Some jerky kids might say some mean things. But that’s not a reason he shouldn’t get his eyes checked out.
“Hmm,” you muse. “You know, I can think of a very special little boy who wears glasses. He’s probably the coolest kid there is besides you and Luke.”
“Who?” Ryan is clearly curious, but still hesitant about where you’re going with this.
“You don’t know?” you ask him with a smile. “You only read about him every night before you go to bed.”
Ryan gasps in delight, sitting straight up in your arms.
“Harry Potter!” The excitement on his face has your heart gushing from the inside out.
“The Boy Who Lived!” you cheer. “He’s a super powerful wizard and he needs glasses to see.”
A shy but genuine smile starts to appear on Ryan’s face and Eddie subtly gives your waist a small squeeze of appreciation.
“There’s also Superman,” Eddie adds.
“Clark Kent wears the glasses,” Luke corrects his father, eyes never leaving the TV. You do your best to hold in a giggle; wherever Eddie’s geeky knowledge ends, Luke’s begins.
“And Clark Kent is Superman,” Eddie says, picking up a piece of popcorn and tossing it at the back of Luke’s head.
Ryan seems more at ease now, his body posture more relaxed and less rigid as he settles back into the couch cushions. You go to snuggle back into Eddie’s side when Ryan looks up at you with those big brown eyes that are identical to his father’s and slips his small hand into yours.
“Will you go with me?” he asks, voice soft.
You could almost cry at the question. He wants you to go with him. The love and trust he has in you in this moment of fear and uncertainty means the world to you. Eddie doesn’t miss the emotion on your face at the comfort you bring to his son. He knows he’s so lucky to have you, the woman of his dreams, but the fact that you and the kids wholeheartedly love each other as well? It’s enough to make Eddie tear up any time he thinks about it for too long.
Before you give Ryan an answer, you look at Eddie, wanting to make sure that this is okay with him and that you’re not overstepping. Eddie gives you a nod, his eyes shining with pure adoration.
“Of course I will, Ry.” You press a kiss to the top of his head, and he then lays it down on your shoulder.
“Thank you,” he answers, just loud enough for you to hear.
There’s no reason he has to thank you. This moment, this trust and love he’s giving to you as a parental-type role means the world to you. You’re clearly not the babysitter anymore—you’re their dad’s girlfriend, but a new relationship is blossoming between you and the boys as well. The strong ties that always bonded you and the kids are being bronzed, never to fray or be broken. This is starting to feel in the neighborhood of motherly and it feels more amazing than you could have imagined.
Tumblr media
Ryan keeps his hand in yours the entire time you sit in the waiting room of the tiny optometrist’s office. The fact that you’re his comfort in this situation has you practically beaming enough to be one of the models on the posters that surround you of people who are overly excited to have a new pair of glasses. Ryan has always loved and felt safe with you, but this is different, and you both know it—even if neither of you know how to put it into words.
“Ryan Munson?”
His small hand is surprisingly strong as he grips yours like a lifeline at the sound of his name. Before you stand up, you lean in to whisper in his ear.
“I’m going to be right next to you the whole time. I promise.”
The words have Ryan loosening his vice grip just enough that you’re able to feel your fingers again. The two of you are led into a small office that has model after model of the human eye and a large chair directly in the middle of the room.
“You must be Ryan,” the doctor says as he steps into the office and shuts the door behind him. He’s an attractive man with a kind smile, right around Eddie’s age. “I’m Dr. Barnes. It’s very nice to meet you.”
Ryan gives him a nervous smile as he climbs into the large chair. “Nice to meet you too.”
You take a seat in a yellow hard plastic chair near the door and the doctor turns around to introduce himself to you as well. After he shakes your hand, his attention goes back to his patient.
“Tell me a little bit about what’s been going on with your eyes, Ryan,” Dr. Barnes says as he sits down on a rolling stool.
The boy shifts in the large chair, the nervousness still very prevalent. “Um, well I-I haven’t been able to see the board very good at school. A-And at home the TV is all blurry.”
“Well, we definitely have to fix that!” Dr. Barnes says with a sympathetic sigh. “Gotta be able to do your work at school and then come home and watch cartoons. It’s a good thing your mom brought you in.”
You freeze, half a sputter coming from out of your mouth because you don’t know what to say. It’s a logical assumption on the doctor’s part, but if you let it slip by without correcting him will Ryan think that’s weird? If you correct the doctor will Ryan take that as meaning you don’t want to be called his mother? Or would Ryan feel like you’ve crossed a boundary if you just go on letting Dr. Barnes think that you’re his mom?
“She’s the best,” Ryan says, saving you from speaking at all. The anxiety immediately leaves your body at his words. The way Ryan smiles at you from his chair while the doctor sets things up has your heart soaring. His look practically says, yeah, I said you’re my mom because that’s what I want.
Somehow you manage to keep it together without crying—you’ll do that in front of Eddie later. Dr. Barnes turns out the main lights and puts a focused light on an eye chart just above your head. You watch as he tests Ryan’s vision by looking at different charts and signs full of numbers and letters of all sizes before he lowers the phoropter in front of the eight-year-old’s face. Ryan almost goes cross eyed trying to look at the machine as it gets closer to him, and you can’t help but chuckle.
“Okay, I’m gonna show you two different lenses and you tell me which one is clearer while looking at that chart. Sound good?” Dr. Barnes asks.
“Uh huh,” Ryan says as tries to find the right angle to look into the machine. His voice is much steadier now.
“One or two?”
“Uh…one.”
Multiple strengths are tried out and it seems like Dr. Barnes asks Ryan to pick between “one and two” about a million times. Even you’re getting fidgety in your seat by the end of it, so you can only imagine how antsy Ryan is.
It was pretty evident to you that Ryan would end up needing glasses, but the little boy looks less than thrilled when the two of you head back out into the main area so you can find some frames.
After spotting a few pairs that he likes, Ryan starts to find it fun, seeing which ones look better on him and which ones make him look silly. In the end, he settles on two different sets of frames—which Eddie already said he’s cool with because he’d bet good money that one pair would either get lost or broken before the year is out.
As you’re paying, Dr. Barnes makes sure the copy of Ryan’s prescription is all filled out before he hands it to you. The paperwork comes with a smoldering smile from the optometrist, and as flattering as it may be, it still makes you feel a tad awkward.
“I suppose I’ll see you back here in a few weeks, huh?” Dr. Barnes asks, directing the question at you instead of Ryan.
“Oh,” you say, caught off guard by the flirting. You look down and shake your head, but you see your ringless hand and understand why the man probably thinks you’re a single mom. “His dad,” you start, wrapping your arm around Ryan’s shoulders, “he, um, my boyfriend will probably be the one coming here to pick up the glasses with Ryan.”
“Ah,” Dr. Barnes says with a nod. “I guess I’ll see you soon then, Ryan.”
You look down to see Ryan squeezing his lips together, trying not to laugh as he nods his affirmation. He clearly understands what just happened and his expression makes it difficult for you to keep your laughter held in as well.
The glasses will be ready in about two weeks and the little Munson doesn’t seem bothered by the fact that he has to wear them anymore.
Tumblr media
After the eye doctor, you take Ryan out for lunch at Schoop's Hamburgers, just the two of you. Both of you order milkshakes and you hold a finger up to your cold lips.
“Don’t tell Luke or your dad, they’ll be so jealous!”
Ryan just giggles and takes another sip of his strawberry shake while trailing an “X” over his heart with his right index finger.
“Daddy’s taking me to pick the glasses up?” Ryan asks as you’re throwing away your garbage.
“Maybe,” you admit with a shrug. “Depends on our schedules that week. But I have a feeling your dad will want to be the one to take you.”
“Because the doctor wanted to kiiiiiiss you?” Ryan asks in a mischievous little voice that you’d expect from Luke more than him.
“Yes,” you acquiesce with a chuckle. “But I’m sure he’s just as excited to see what your new glasses look like.” But it’ll definitely be mostly about Doctor McFlirty, you think.
Tumblr media
When you get home, Eddie’s at the kitchen table, looking over some bills. As soon as you and Ryan walk through the door, Eddie pushes it to the side and stands up.
“Hey, how’d the appointment go?” Eddie looks back and forth from you to Ryan, not sure which one of you will speak first.
“He did great,” you tell Eddie, throwing a wink Ryan’s way.
“I picked out some glasses and they’ll be ready in two weeks!” he proudly tells his dad. Then his eyes light up and he lets out a small giggle. “And the doctor wanted to steal your girlfriend, Daddy.”
“What?” Eddie’s immediately defensive and looks towards you, eyebrows raised.
You can’t help but giggle right alongside Ryan at Eddie’s expression. “He tried flirting with me, but I told him I was with you.”
“He was bummed,” Ryan adds.
“I’m taking you to pick those glasses up,” Eddie tells his son, jabbing his thumb into his t-shirt clad chest.
“You were right!” Ryan says with a laugh, looking over at you.
“Do I know your Dad or what?” you ask as the two of you high five one another.
Tumblr media
A couple of weeks later, the glasses are finally in. Eddie takes Ryan by the office after he gets off work to go pick them up.
The smell of roasting garlic fills the air as you make dinner and Luke is watching television when they get home. Ryan bounces in, excited about his new glasses. There’s a proud gleam in his eye as he stands in the middle of the entryway, taking in the view of the apartment clearly for the first time in a while.
“Let me see, let me see!” you say as you step out of the kitchen. “Aw, Ry! They look even better than the display ones you tried on at the store!”
The rectangular black frames complement his dark eyes and honey brown hair. You’re overcome with how handsome of a young man your little Ryan is turning into.
Luke kneels on the couch cushion and turns around to see his brother.
“Lemme see.”
Ryan does a one-eighty to show his little brother. All Luke does is give him a thumbs up before he goes back to watching The Fairly Odd Parents.
“It feels kind of funny,” Ryan tells you, rubbing his left eye beneath the glasses. You can already see fingerprint smudges on the lenses and you’re grateful you remembered to buy lens cleaning cloths the last time you went grocery shopping. “What does? What feels funny?” you ask.
“Seeing things that are far away!” he says, both excitement and a slight bit of irritation in his usually calm tone. “Almost makes me a little dizzy.”
“Doctor said that’s normal,” Eddie says, resting his hands on his son’s shoulders. “Your eyes will get used to them real quick, then it won’t feel that way.” He raises an eyebrow and looks at you. “And this doctor also seemed a bit nervous around me.”
You giggle and bound over to him, wrapping your arms around his neck. “He’s threatened by what a wonderful, sexy man you are.”
“Gross,” Luke mumbles from the couch.
Tumblr media
Soda almost sprays out of your nose at Eddie’s story about a difficult customer who came into work this morning, when one of his co-workers pops his head into the breakroom.
“Hey, Eddie,” he says, rubbing a hand over his bald head, leaving small streaks of grime behind. “There’s a phone call for you.”
“Oh, okay,” Eddie says. He crumples up the tin foil you brought his sandwich in and tosses it in the large trashcan behind him. Not in a particular hurry, Eddie stands up and stretches his arms over his head. He smirks and presses a quick kiss to your lips when he sees you checking him out. Your gaze continues to look him up and down as he takes the few steps over to the phone on the wall.
“Hello?” Eddie asks.
The chicken sandwich lying on the table in front of you looked good when you first arrived to have lunch with your boyfriend, but now that you’re full it looks as if it’s taunting you. Crinkling fills the room as you pack it back up in its foil. Just as you’re lifting your can of diet Dr. Pepper to your lips, Eddie’s face clouds with worry and he lets out a frustrated sigh.
“Yeah, uh, I’ll be right there,” he says into the phone.
“What’s wrong?” you ask, slipping your leftovers into your large black purse. As Eddie hangs the phone back up, you walk over to stand at his side, careful of getting your clothes dirtied by his coveralls.
Instead of answering you, Eddie lets out another sigh and presses a kiss to your forehead. “Gimme a second, baby.”
You watch, confused, as Eddie steps across the hall into his boss’s office. There seems to be a short, quick conversation before your boyfriend comes back out and slips his hand into yours.
“It was the school,” Eddie tells you as he leads you towards the exit and out into the parking lot.
“Are the boys okay?” you ask, feeling your heart rate pick up as you walk briskly towards his truck.
“Luke’s in the principal’s office,” Eddie tells you with an agitated huff. “He got into a fight.”
“He what?” Your eyes almost pop out of your head. “Is he okay?”
“Just a little banged up, according to the principal,” Eddie says as he opens the passenger side door for you.
“Poor baby.”
Long strides lead Eddie around his truck, and he situates himself in the driver’s seat. He gives a humorless chuckle as he starts the engine.
“Wayne wasn’t fucking kidding when he said Luke is a little version of me.”
“First of all, we all say that,” you tell him. “Second of all, you fought at school?”
“Oh, baby,” Eddie says with a soft laugh as he pulls out of the parking lot and onto the main road. “Remind me to tell you some stories when we get home.”
When you get to the school, you and Eddie practically jump out of the truck and head towards the building. Once you’re both inside, you feel rough calloused fingers tangle with your own. His eyes are straight ahead but you can tell Eddie’s nerves are on edge as he gives your hand a soft squeeze.
Luke is sitting on the bench outside of the principal’s office, his legs dangling over the edge, swinging back and forth. He’s watching his black and white sneakers disappear beneath the wooden seat before reappearing again, taking no notice of you coming down the hall. Only his profile is visible from the angle you’re approaching from.
“Luke,” Eddie says as the two of you walk up to him.
The young boy jumps off the bench and turns to face the two of you. You’re startled to see his eye already bruised and purpling, along with a small cut on his bottom lip. There’s the instinct to pull him into your arms and take care of him and tell him it’s all going to be okay. But Luke’s grinning up at the pair of you; a stark contrast to the evidence of the brawl on his face.
“Oh, hi! They told me they called Daddy, but I didn’t know both of you were coming!” The excitement on his face to see both of you is adorable yet seems out of place since he must know he’s going to get in trouble.
“Luke, what happened?” Eddie asks at the same time that you ask, “Are you okay?”
“M’fine,” Luke answers your question with a shrug. “My hand hurts more than anything.” The boy cradles his right hand against his chest and it’s the first time you see his scraped and bruised knuckles.
“What happened?” Eddie asks again, this time with less patience.
Luke’s eyebrows furrow, a little “v” creasing his forehead. The pride from the fight vanishes from his eyes as he recalls the situation.
“Stupid Trevor Brown opened his big fat mouth on the playground!” Luke says sternly, even louder than he usually is. “He said to Brandon Simpson that Ryan’s glasses made him look like a loser.”
“So you hit him?” Eddie asks.
“No, I told him he better shut his damn—uh, dang mouth. Trevor just laughed and said Ryan was a nerd! Then I hit him.”
Eddie sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose as he squeezes his eyes closed. Secretly, he’s proud of his son for sticking up for his brother, but he has to compose himself so he can tell Luke he shouldn’t have done that. The paradox of being a parent.
“Luke, you should have told a teacher instead,” Eddie tells him. “Hitting someone is not the way to shut them up.”
“Well, punching him in the mouth did the trick,” Luke points out.
You try not to laugh, covering it up with a cough. Eddie’s better at keeping himself composed but you know he would be grinning if he could.
A door squeaks open and the principal steps out of his office with another young boy, a huge bruise blooming on his jaw and dried blood caked under his nose. Luke definitely came out the winner of the fight.
“You sit here and wait for your mom now, Trevor,” Principal Andrews says, gesturing to the bench Luke was just sitting on. “Ah, Mr. Munson. Thank you for coming.”
“And this is his girlfriend!” Luke announces proudly, coming to stand in front of you. The small boy is wiggling his way out of any trouble with you by seeming so thrilled to have you there and showing you off proudly.
Eddie nods his head at the principal, ignoring Luke, and shakes the man’s hand. You gently pat Luke’s curls, hoping he takes the hint to shut up.
“I’m sorry for the trouble,” Eddie says, and you silently wonder how many times Wayne had to say that to Eddie’s principal growing up. “This one is in for it, I’ll tell you that.” Eddie nods his head towards Luke. “Can someone just let Ryan know Luke won’t be on the bus coming home?”
“Of course,” Principal Andrews says. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Luke. We’ll be better behaved then, won't we?”
Luke turns to head down the hall without answering, but Eddie grabs the back of his t-shirt and pulls him back. He puts his hands on Luke’s shoulders and spins him around until he’s facing the principal again.
“Luke,” Eddie warns him.
“Yes, Principal Andrews,” Luke says in a monotone, eyes on the shiny white linoleum tile below his sneakers. Deciding he’s done with talking, he slips his smaller hand into yours, deciding he’d rather hold your hand than his father’s right now.
“Thanks again, Principal Andrews,” Eddie says before the three of you walk down the hallway towards the exit.
It’s utterly silent until you get into Eddie’s truck. You’re not sure what to say, because this is between father and son. Eventually, you decide you’ll just be a referee if it comes to that.
Eddie silently pulls the truck out of the parking lot and starts to head home.
“Luke,” Eddie finally says after seven minutes of terse silence. It feels like he’s said his son’s name about a hundred times already today. “I don’t like that you hit someone. But I am proud of you for sticking up for your brother.”
In the rearview mirror, Eddie can see how Luke grins at that, which makes Eddie smile in turn.
“I wasn’t gonna let those buttheads talk that way about my brother,” Luke says. “I know I’m not s’posed to hit—I do. But if someone says something about a person I love, I just get so mad, and it comes out all violent.”
“Holy shit,” Eddie mumbles under his breath, loud enough for only you to hear. “He is my mini-me.”
Tumblr media
When you get home, you take Luke into the bathroom so you can clean up and bandage his wounds. His knuckles are still sore and stinging when you finish, so he sits on the couch with a bag of frozen corn on them. Eddie plops down next to him as you lean against the wall between the bathroom and living room, wiping off some antibacterial ointment that you accidentally got on your own hands.
“You know I have to punish you, right?” Eddie asks, raising his eyebrows as he looks down at his youngest son.
“I know,” Luke says with a sigh.
“I want you to go in your room until dinner time. Try and work on your homework if your hand starts to feel any better. And no dessert after dinner tonight.”
“And then?” Luke asks, looking up at his dad nervously, afraid of how long he’s going to be grounded.
“And then tomorrow you wake up, get ready for school, and keep being a wonderful brother.”
It takes a minute, but a smile slowly spreads to Luke’s face as he realizes there’s no punishment besides the minor consequences he’ll have to endure tonight.
“Now, go on. Get to your room,” Eddie says.
Luke gets up and heads towards the hallway before stopping and turning back to face his father.
“Don’t tell Ryan what happened, okay?” Luke says, wincing at the chill from the vegetable bag against his scrapes. “I don’t want him to know that someone said mean things about him.”
“I won’t tell him,” Eddie assures his son. Luke turns back towards the hallway, but Eddie calls him and he faces his dad again. “You’re a really good brother. Ryan is very lucky to have you, and I know he’d have your back too. I’m very lucky.”
“Aww, Dad,” Luke says, wrinkling up his nose. “So mushy. But… I know I’m lucky too. Always felt that having you and Ryan. Never with Mom though. But now I got someone pretty cool who loves me like I’m her kid and that’s even better.”
Luke continues down to his room and Eddie is filled with the overwhelming feeling of love. Love from the kind words from Luke—which are rare within themselves–the love that his two sons have for one another and that special bond, and love at the fact that Luke recognizes that you love him and Ryan as if they’re your own children. You practically see them that way anyway.
You walk in from where you’re holding up the wall, emotional yourself over Luke’s words, and take a seat next to your boyfriend on the couch.
“How ya feeling?” you ask, bringing your hand up to play with one of Eddie’s stray curls.
“I’m so fucking proud of my son,” Eddie admits with a hushed laugh. “I know I had to tell him the whole ‘violence isn’t the answer’ spiel, but I would’ve done the exact same thing that he did. When I was a kid or even now.”
“He’s such a good brother,” you say, an adoring grin on your face as well.
Eddie wraps his arm around you, and you snuggle into his side.
“So, I believe you had some stories to tell me?” You tilt your head up to smirk at your boyfriend.
Eddie chuckles and gives a shake of his head. “Oh, you better buckle up, princess. I’ve got some wild tales.”
