Hannibal season three is making enemies out of my mother and I - she grows ever angrier at Hannibal (unfeeling psychopath incapable of love according to her) and is the most rampant Will Graham apologist you will ever meet; she is convinced that Will has not been accountable for his actions since meeting Hannibal, that he’s been brainwashed and basically forced to act as he does, and is in actuality an innocent victim 😭 every time we try talking about any of this, both of us get sulky lol

s3 of nbc hannibal is just… god it’s a lot of things.

i get tricked into watching it because ep1 is so hot and sexy and whimsical and terrifying. just good ol hannibal lecter trying to be ok with his glamorous life with bedelia, killing twinks even when they seem reeeeeally down to suck him off. it’s just a good time!

and then boom: primavera.

first it makes you rewatch the end of mizumono. which— ow. then it’s cute father will and daughter abigail on their journey back to hannibal where they find his broken heart and the creepy ass monster within. not to mention the very hot hannibal portrait from 20 years ago that will DEFINITELY has some feelings about. very good, vibes are great.

then, plot twist, abigail actually did die in hannibal’s kitchen. and here’s how will actually looks on the steps: fucking devastated and hollow. and there’s hannibal overlooking him like :( and then here’s a side by side of will being saved and abigail being cleaned and drained and sealed.

and to finally end the episode, will’s searching the catacombs looking for hannibal and apologizing to his ghost. and we’re back to hot and heartbreaking.

Rafael Avcioglu Lately, since getting back into photographing music, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of famous musicians. And since being in LA, I’ve had the pleasure of working a lot of events with A-list musicians and actors. Some mean a lot more to me than others and some don’t phase me at all. But yesterday was a special one. I was working Primavera Sound and I left the stage to go grab some food in the security area about an hour before Arctic Monkeys went on. Super Randomly I spotted the whole band taking photographs back there with the photographer. I’ve been listening to Arctic Monkeys since there first album dropped in 2006. My sister turned me onto them and we both fell in love with the music.

I was able to see them a few times since then but to be working on stage with them and then to meet them in person was just a really special moment for me.

And I don’t like to brag or anything, it’s just more of a look how far I’ve come thing. From being a 12 year old blasting their music in my attic bedroom to working with them. (Primavera Sound LA - 18 September 2022)

#for context this is a cvvc library recorded using a 7 mora string + 2 mora breakdowns #which yes is redundant BUT #well there isn't much but it was mostly me just being viscerally against pure 2 mora strings skdjfhgk #the 7 mora makes me feel like i'm going faster and ensures i have a backup if any of the 2 mora sound like ass #AND then i get both continuous samples and starting samples which i find really adds to the voice #ANYWAY #past me .oto'd only the 7 mora string part on most of these #and not even the VCs #so now i'm agonizingly having to go through and .oto out the remaining CVs and VCs #i keep thinking about the people who have offered to help #but i look at the redundancy hell in which i find myself (i.e. .oto contains ど1 ど2 ど3 ど4 and - ど) #and feel i cannot subject anyone else to it sdkhflgk #when it comes time to .oto primavera leftovers though i will gladly take up on the offer #← original half-made .oto was done in 2015 and i can't bear to make it again #but all the samples are standard 7 mora CVVC and clearly labeled with no repeats so PHEW #utau hell continues . . . .
