Okay, college professor headcanons for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures

Included characters: Dio (Part three, not vampire, fairly out of character, so sorry about that), Jonathan, Avdol, Joseph, Caesar, Polnareff with a little bit of Iggy, Kakyoin, Jotaro, and a bonus of Okuyasu, Josuke, and Koichi teaching a self-defense class to their peers (Not college profs)

Dio

He is part three in this btw, and he isn’t a vampire, I was thinking about the whole night class thing and deadass forgot he was a vampire

He teaches a night class

He teaches a criminal forensics class

No matter how many students he has at any given time, he knows them all by first and last name

He absolutely allows cussing in his class and takes full advantage of this rule

He will without a doubt notice attitude shifts in his students and will be fairly straightforward about it in his office after asking them to stay for a while after class or after they’re done with classes for the day to talk to them about it

He’s the cool professor

He only refers to students by their last name if he’s mad at them

He has his students skip titles and just call him Dio

He has helped students remove smell from their cars after someone left food in it and they didn’t know and it ended up rotting, or if they had stoner friends they had to pick up

It doesn’t matter if they aren’t in his class he’ll help them

He takes time out of his night/morning to help his students

He shows up about 5 or so hours before school starts and allows students who live in noisy ares to come in to sleep, he sets up pillows and everything

It doesn’t matter if he isn’t their first class he still lets them come in

Basically as far from canon Dio as you can get, just with appearance and accent, along with a few tendencies to snap at his students

He brings in meals on exam days because he knows students skip meals

Jonathan

You’ll literally never get lighter homework in any other class (Besides maybe Joseph)

He doesn’t allow cussing, he won’t report you for it. but will scold you, which normally gets anyone to stop, because no one wants to upset this man, he’s too nice to his students

He will report his students for any form of slurs, and that is the only time he will get angry unless one student is actively attacking another verbally or physically

He has stepped in front of a student in the parking lot who was being mugged and just knocked the mugger on their ass

Constantly jokingly butting heads with the criminal forensics teacher, sometimes gets heated between the two

They’re step siblings

Very few students know this

He’s a ELA (English language arts) teacher

MASSIVE golden retriever vibes, super energetic, loves his students, is the kind of man who would take one of his student’s secrets to the grave (As long as it wasn’t something like self harm or being a victim of a crime)

An absolute lumbering machine of a man, he seems imposing at first, until he breaks out into a smile and laying down the few ground rules, telling his students to feel free to talk to him about anything bugging them

Much like his brother, he brings in meals on exam days

He will fall, no if about it, it’s an inevitable thing, all of his students will see it at some point

The room normally erupts into chaos of running around and picking up his papers and freaking out about whether or not he’s okay until he looks up and is just an absolute blushing mess and he’s laughing

After the first time people still help pick up papers but it isn’t as chaotic

This man is so understanding about late work

He encouraged an enby (Born female) to get their hair cut to a mullet and made a 360 video for them to show to their barber

Absolutely would understand anything his students were going through or would at least try his best

He will hug his students if they’re having a rough time

Can be counted on to extend due dates unreasonable amounts for large projects

Avdol

Stickler about late work

He does love his students, but for every 3 school days something is late, a point gets marked off

Unless you have good reason

Is a recreational class on astrology and other forms of psychic readings (I have no doubt that’s a class, my sister almost took a class on the history of James Bond)

He also brings in tea for his students daily

Will talk to his students if he sees them in public

Widely loved by students

Amazingly attuned with his students

Not many other details that stand out about him

Joseph

He’s that one guy that no one is really sure what he teaches

The presentations from student projects end up being the kinds that end up being iconic(?) images like the “How I lost my virginity to a mint cookie” thing, because no one knows what the presentations are supposed to be on

It’s harder to fail than it is to pass, seeing as if you forget to turn something in you have to remind him to mark it as missing, otherwise it just sits as not turned in, not as late, so it won’t affect your grade

He shows a lot of movies in class

Brought in a gaming system once and held a tourney amongst the students in all of his classes

There isn’t a single student who doesn’t like him

Caesar

Cooking class

Lets his students eat what they cook after the taste test for grading

Is often brought flowers by his students after they inevitably find out his love for the colorful displays

Let’s be quite honest, we know Joseph is the one that exposes this

The two of them have a running joke of bringing each other jokingly “romantic” gifts as a show of their friendship

He was at first quite uncomfortable with the students bringing him flowers as it is generally quite a, romantic I could say, gesture (Funny lil’ side note, I was a weird child, apparently I thought as like, a 4 yr old I would have multiple husbands, and this guy that’s like, 7 or so years older than me was one of them, apparently planned to be the last???? I dunno lmao, but he brought me flowers because it’s now a running joke and we’re now sorta friends, anyways, he brought me flowers when I was 9, at least I think I was 9, but his girlfriend got mad???? Like hun, I'm not going to steal your man) until he started getting notes in them (Will post those in a later post)

He blushes very heavily upon receiving the flowers, any blush at all is extremely prevalent and he gets flustered and very happy upon receiving the flowers, his students have likened him to a blushing schoolboy

Has a fondness for paintings of nature, which have also been brought in as gifts by students, and they all get hung on his wall, which is always a great surprise to the students that paint them.

Polnareff

He teaches French

He brings in pastries

Very comedic

I don’t really know what else besides he's just a friend more so than a teacher to all of his students

He definitely brings in Iggy frequently, though he makes sure to keep the coffee gum accessible to himself, but not where Iggy could easily get to it

All of his students love Iggy

Iggy will curl up in students’ laps if he likes them enough

Kakyoin

He teaches a history of gaming

Tournies in his class

He’s a bruh dud, just a friend more so than he is a teacher

Doesn’t give two fucks about late work policy cause there is rarely ever any late work from his students

I dunno, his students bring him a bunch of cherry stuff lol, a mini bean bag that looks like a cherry, cherry pastries, cherries grown by the students, maraschino cherries, even a hat that looked like a cherry

Jotaro (Part 4 Jotaro)

Marine biology, duh

An absolute hardass

Half points for late work unless you have a damn good excuse

A student brought him a dolphin stuffed animal once, and Star Platinum broke out in happy tears (No stand using students) while Jotaro kept his composure, although he did crack a smile

Deadass takes students on aquarium trips I shit you not

Secretly loves all of his students

Most of his students love him

Bonus

Okuyasu, Josuke, Koichi, all canon age of part 4, not college profs

Self-defense classes

Open to any gender

Very kind but firm

Okuyasu either makes people laugh or cry or confused

Koichi normally comforts the people who end up crying

Josuke heals everyone up after sparring matches and is also a sparring partner to many

Tomoko may pop in every so often for some harassment tips to the participants

YOU CHOSE: GO TO THE TEACHERS!

Despite wanting to get some much needed rest, you drag your feet towards the school building to retrieve your homework from the classes you missed. You spot Rohan in the courtyard. He looks up from his sketchpad to see you staring at him, resulting in him scoffing and looking back down at the paper. You roll your eyes, making your way to your classes (with help, of course). After 45 minuets of going class to class and apologizing to your teachers and lying explaining why you missed your first day, you finally make it to your final class.

You aren’t sure why, but you felt compelled to take Italian. After all, it is one of the languages of love, and your lonely ass could really use some loving (in the least sexual way possible cuz no). Upon opening the door, you realize the class was pretty much empty. There are no teachers or students in the room, which you deem odd considering the fact that it is currently office hours. You’re about to turn around and leave when you bump into someone behind you, causing them to drop whatever they were holding. You down to see a boy around your age picking up the now broken pieces of a flowerpot.

“Holy shit! I’m so sorry!” You gasp, crouching down to help him clean up. You see him holding the flower that was in the pot, almost cradling it as if it were a child. Your heart squeezes at this sight. ‘ohmyfuckinggodhesadorable’. You shake your head at the thought, trying to focus on cleaning.

“Mi dispiace, avrei dovuto cercare dove stavo andando. Volevo solo mettere questo fiore vicino alla finestra in modo che potesse ottenere un po 'di luce” He chuckles, looking at you with a kind smile.

“....huh?”

Sure, you signed up to take Italian, but you didn’t think that the people in your grade would be so advanced already! You begin to regret skipping classes today until he speaks up. “Ah! Force of habit. I’m from Italy so my go to language is Italian. I’m still getting used to having to speak English. (just pretend) My name is Giorno Giovanna and I’m a freshman. Nice to meet you!” He says, extending his hand out to you. “Y/N L/N! Nice to meet you too, Giorno!” You shake his hand. “Oh by the way... what was it you were saying before?” You asked. “I just said that I wanted to put this flower by the window so it could get some light and I wasn’t watching where I was going. Sorry about that!” He says. You continue having a friendly conversation with Giorno before you realize that office hours had ended.

“Look at the time! It’s already 6:00.” He sighs, clearly sad that the conversation had ended. You’re upset too! You enjoyed talking to Giorno. As if on cue, your stomach growled loudly, resulting in Giorno turning his attention back to you. “Are you hungry?” He asks, like it isn’t the most obvious thing in the world. “Yeah, I am. I didn’t have a chance to eat lunch.” You sigh, upset because this school is supposed to have some of the best food. “Do you want to come with me to the cafeteria to have dinner with some of my friends? I promise they’re nice.” He offers. You immediately agree, because who would decline good food?

When you arrive at the cafeteria, you realize that it’s strangely empty. You overhear some of the younger students whispering about a supposed “gang” being inside. You’re a little frightened, but you see that Giorno remains the unbothered king that he is, so your nerves are settled. You spot a group of boys sitting at a table at the far end of the room. You follow Giorno as he walks over to them. A boy who appears to be a sophomore’s face lights up when he sees Giorno walking towards them. “Giorno! Non ti ho visto tutto il giorno!” Giorno! I haven’t seen you all day! Giorno clears his throat, gesturing to you, implying that you don’t speak Italian. “Oh ok! Hi, my name is Narancia Ghirga and I’m a sophomore. Nice to meetcha!” He beams, looking up at you from his chair. You go around the table, meeting the rest of the group. There was a man who had an irrational fear of the number four named Mista, a guy who was dressed like a piece of cheese named Fugo, an emo bitch who didn’t like Giorno named Abbacchio, and a guy who somehow reminds you of your mother named Bucciarati. There was a girl that was supposed to be there too but she couldn’t make it.

You get your food and sit back down at the table where you’re faced with a heated debate between Narancia and Fugo about the answer to a math problem that they were working on. Narancia said the answer was D, none of the above, to which Fugo tried to explain that it wasn’t a multiple choice question. You laughed along with the rest of the group before you feel a shiver go down your spine. You turn around to see a group of girls glaring at the people at your table. “Hey... I’ve been meaning to ask. What’s with this ‘gang’ that everyone is talking about?” You question, looking to Bucciarati for an answer. He sees how serious you look and pauses. You begin to expect the worst before he begins to laugh, the rest of the boys joining in.

“Y-you really believe that stuff?” Narancia asks between breaths from laughing so hard. “Y/N, we aren’t a gang! Everyone just kinda assumed we were mafioso when we arrived at this school. If you’re looking for a group of bad boys, you’re with the wrong group of people.” Fugo chuckles.”Although La Squadra could be considered a gang, pieces of shit.” Abbacchio mutters. “What was that?” You ask, turning to face Abbacchio. “Forget it. It’s not important. I’m going to the dorms to get some rest. See you guys around” He says, getting up from the table. The rest of the boys excuse themselves as well, leaving you and Giorno alone at the table.

“I had fun with you Y/N! The guys seem to really like you.” Giorno says with a smile, picking up his dishes and clearing them. “I had fun too! I hope we see each other soon!” You exclaim. “I’m going to go back to the dorms now. Do you want me to walk you there? I’m assuming you don’t know where you’re going.” He says, lightly chuckling. You giggle with him. “Yeah, I have no clue where the dorms are.” You say, slightly embarrassed. “So do you want me to take you there?” He asks, again.

Due to being the most incompetent popularity sim the world has ever laid eyes on, as well as having a miserable personality, Shajar has been near aspiration failure for the entire freshman year. Now that we’re out of the dorms it seems the least I can do is fulfil her wish to throw a toga party, even though I’ve sworn off college parties since the Gunther Brittany Affair Disaster of 2017.

Most of the people we invited wisely elected not to attend, but thankfully Culturally Appropriating Drama Professor is here, with whom, you guessed it..

..Cyneswith has 3 bolts! Well we all knew that thanks to her disturbing grey hair turn on college would be the time that we would knock out at least 10 of the 20 simultaneous lovers she aspires to have.

Boy, that escalated quickly. Also that professor literally looks like a male Rachel Dolezal.

-Congratulations on falling in love with Ti-Ning right after he randomly made out with Gross Hippie Dude, Frances!

I had Cyneswith ask CADP out during the party so we could maximize her aspiration point earnings and the guy seriously hits us with ‘maybe we should go out again some other time’, like he has a ton of hot undergrads throwing themselves at him but he’ll see if he can make time for us. God I hate him.

We end the party while we’re ahead aka before Sophie’s bullying tanks our score, and Shajar is finally semi-content and will hopefully stfu with her whining for the time being. Good job, Cyneswith!

Right after the party a sports mania appears to have overtaken the house. First we have Frances of all people intently watching football, lmao. Secondly, wanna guess who rolled the want to get fit? Wanna guess??

Ok so this was the closest I’ve come to a sim legit dying this run, like it’s all fun and games now but while it was happening I was freaking out. We don’t have the Reaper phone we stole from the secret society in the UUU house anymore, Jojo took it with him when he graduated, so it was seriously looking like this was it for Sophie.

The night came..

..the night went..

..the repairman came..

..Sophie’s hunger need went..

..the afternoon came and with it the idiot mascot who clearly can’t feel a room..

..the night came AGAIN and that’s when Sophie woke up, literally a full 24 hours later. WTF. I’ve never had a sim passed out this long, I was losing my shit.

-But I’m ripped now and that’s all that matters!!!

WE DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS. WE ALSO DON’T HAVE ANY FOOD READY, FML, those savages absolutely devoured the pizza.

An instant meal is thankfully enough to stave off death for a while. I have one of the other flops order a pizza and send Sophie to take a shower to drop her temperature-

-which was a horrible call because I *assumed* that when sims are suffering from heat stroke they take cold showers, but that turns out to not be the case so I make it even worse!!! The mascot of death is looming like a vulture, waiting to cheer over Sophie’s dead body. FUCK OFF

The pizza finally arrives and Sophie takes one bite of a slice, leaves it on the counter, AND PASSES OUT AGAIN. At this point I have literally never wanted to cheat more my entire life.

-Well I say, my good woman, it looks like Sophie has fainted and is about to die!

-Oh well, more screentime for us!

Why do you two losers have heatstroke too, you haven’t done anything all day? Wtf is this, a localized heatstroke outbreak in this house only??

Finally, after what was the most this game has stressed me out in years, I get Sophie to bed, safe, sound, and mostly alive. I’m also instituting a house-wide ban on working out, it’s clearly an evil practice that causes nothing but woe.

This ended up being longer than I intended to write and also has some yucky themes in it so I'm putting it under a cut, but

(edit) ALSO, I can see how that post may be seen as a “this one sparks joy because its all dudes” and “this one does not spark joy because its women” but thats absolutely not what its about- I hope no one takes it to mean that. It’s that comic spinoff #1 is really rich in story and has returning characters we are all excited to see and #2 is a garbage porn fest lmao

SO ok- two spinoff comics were announced and have been highly anticipated, one of which stars two characters who would NEVER be associated with each other and the entire fanbase was beside itself with excitement for what we could only imagine was gonna be the wackiest shit ever, because both of them are dumbasses- one is a teen with a heart of gold and the other is a morally questionable (but sometimes ok) cOWBOY?? who used to be one of the bad guys- but like one of the ones who you could always picture switching sides and reluctantly joining up with the good guys (and whose stand is just literally a fucking gun LMAO). So far the first chapter is absolutely AMAZING and is going into the backstories of a bunch of the supporting villain characters from part 3 and exploring their mental states after their leader was defeated and the ptsd they have from how they were extorted and controlled by him. And we are all super hyped to see these characters again and to get more content of them and explorations of their past. The art style is really solid and obviously took a lot of care, and for the most part - aside from Mariah who is known to be a female character that enjoys showing off her body, the women are drawn pretty respectfully. It might be weird to mention this out of nowhere but like- it matters when you get into the OTHER manga that came out this month... ugh I have not READ the other one but from the little bit I read about it, its a one shot about an OC artist that uses Jolyne (A PRISONER IN A PRISON?) as inspiration for her fuckin PORN art? idk man- it seems hella sus, and apparently its trashy as all get out- you can kinda tell by how they draw Jolyne on the main cover that its gonna be super creepy... the main character has a stand that controls the mood of people she draws and she gets obsessed with Jolyne and yeah you can see where this is going.... some creepy stalkery rapey shit ensues. Its literally just horrible fanmade porn that somehow got published as a real spinoff and we (the jojo fans i care to associate myself with at least LMAO) are all over here getting nauseous about what a mess it is. I haven't read it because the synopsis I saw sounded super offputting and the art style makes Jolyne look like shes 12... and just NO, no, a million times no. I made the mistake of looking into it a bit more so I would be able to answer this ask (don't feel bad, I just didn't want to trash talk something I didn't know much about) and also IM SO MAD that they had the NERVE to use Lady Gaga's song Bad Romance as the namesake for the creepy artist stand's name. What a waste bruh...

Anyway yeah- like not to say you cant read it and like- idk get your grim jollies in private but it sounds super yikes and its a mess. Another case of like, yeah I know its fiction and just for fun but hoo boy it just doesn't seem right.

extremely fun fact for people who think ‘popularity’ is important to me: i would 100% rather have 10 people who regularly comment, reblog my fics with tags and interact with me than 100 people who read my fic and either leave a like or simply move on. i think this is true for the VAST MAJORITY of writers tbh. i’m glad that people think i am a ‘popular’ blog (i am not in the grand scheme of things, one of my ex-best friends used to run a kpop reader insert blog with like 30,000 followers) bc it gives me an ego boost lmao, but i really just want people to read and enjoy the stuff i write!!!

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’.

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

Ahhh, assumptions. Well, probably Spence will have some of those assumptions corrected sooner or later. Self-righteous prigs end up alienating themselves from a lot of actually good people who don’t conform to their narrow definitions of ‘righteous’. (I should know, because I used to be one to an extent in my younger days.) But they can learn and grow. 😋 Especially when they’re humbled via experience teaching them sharp lessons about how wrong they’ve been, or how narrow their perspective was.

Yes, Spence is hurting about Noah, and taking it out on Mia. He does genuinely think that she cheated on him though, not that it’s any of his business, but he wants an outlet for his anger.

That kitchen has virtually been untouched since Jojo lived there...Raj is neat and tidy, but his attitude to food is generally ‘food is fuel’ and cooking is definitely not something he can be bothered devoting much time to.

OP really nails the friendship between Josuke and Okuyasu – the banter flows so easily you can’t help but get caught up in how close and in sync they are with each other. Also, the summer vibes are super strong in this fic! Always a big plus with duwang content lmao

electric word life by Fluffifullness (8k oneshot) - More Josuyasu mutual pining + confessions, suuuuper sappy and sweet with some light post DiU angst.

Just Let Me Know, How Do You Feel? by hushroom (6k multichaptered) - Post DiU – Set during their college years, Okuyasu meets up with Josuke for the first time in a while, and they work towards overcoming emotional distance caused by the strain of long distance relationships and misunderstandings. Aged up Josuyasu content is always such a treat and this one doesn’t let down!

It’s stupidly cute and there are little nods to canon material that I love to bits, like Hamon being reimagined as a fancy form of new age yoga ahahaha

Riches and Wonders by etymology playground (8k oneshot) - A lighthearted gyjo fic that takes place during canon events – Two weeks after Sugar Mountain, Johnny and Gyro spend some R&R at a stand-powered onsen lmao. This was one of the first few fics I read right after finishing part 7, and it really helped to soothe the post SBR pain … not that I’m completely over it yet but then again would anyone ever be lol

Laundry by Petronia (2k oneshot) - Another lighthearted canon gyjo fic with lowkey ust lol – Johnny and Gyro take time between travels to do laundry. Idk, there’s something about gyjo domestic downtime that’s so comforting sob

i’ll see your face again by queenieofaces (2k oneshot, Part 7 endgame spoilers) - Oh boy this one … It’s a reincarnation au where Gyro experiences deja vu and misplaced memories from Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency during the events of SBR. 10/10 lots of feels bc reincarnation aus pair so incredibly well with gyjo gosh

nowhere to go; I’m already inside by librisdedita (31k multichaptered, major Part 7 spoilers all around) - A canon compliant gyjo fic – Johnny’s perspective on life is especially bleak in this one. OP tore my heart asunder by the end of this fic but oh man I wouldn’t have it any other way lmao

Cowboys Ain’t Easy To Love by jotarosgirl17 (36k multichaptered, Part 7 spoilers) - A series of interconnected slowburn gyjo canon compliant fics, suuuper heavy on angst and period-typical homophobia and internalised homophobia. Very good for a cry … or ten lmao

see you when the sun sets east by mourn (nsfw 2k oneshot) - Two cowboys sit five feet apart from each other not talking about their repressed feelings yeehaw. Jokes aside this is a quick but intimately tender glimpse into the beginning of Johnny and Gyro’s relationship

Spin This! by polyphenols (17k multichaptered) - A modern day office au where Diego works at a new tech startup named Steel Ball Run. Honestly, I don’t think I could ever properly articulate how much I love this fic – It’s full of sooo many nods and easter eggs to all the bizarre eccentricities that happen in part 7′s canon, and I think nearly every major/minor character gets featured one way or another, if not all (everyone works in the same horrifyingly open air office space after all). The witty banter and dialogue between characters are so snappy and succinct you can’t help but smile or laugh while reading along. Diego in particular stars as the long suffering Straight Man and audience surrogate into the madness that is SBR, with a lowkey crush on HP that slowly builds as the fic progresses (there’s background gyjo too!). While there’s more of a central focus on Part 7 at first, characters from other parts also make an appearance and gradually become more involved as well. I can’t rec this fic enough!!!

Diamond Ball Run by polyphenols (15k multichaptered, Part 7 endgame spoilers) - A gyjo fix-it of sorts … Johnny takes up Funny Valentine’s offer and asks for an Alternate Universe Gyro. The fic is mostly told from Alt Gyro’s perspective in the later half, and argh this makes my heart ache in so many ways I didn’t know were possible god help me –

happy new year, johnny by 3kanite (7k oneshot, Part 7 endgame spoilers) - Aaaah I just read this one today lmao – The fic is written from Johnny’s POV over the course of several new year celebrations – pre-race and during SBR canon. It really nails Johnny’s characterisations and personality shifts down nicely and makes the last year spent with Gyro that much more bittersweet and heartbreaking oh why won’t these part 7 feels stop coming for me

desperado by 3kanite (35k multichaptered) - Features missing scenes that take place during the events of SBR – Admittedly I’ve only read the first two chapters so far and haven’t fully processed things yet but I’m already so caught up in these pre-slash gyjo feels that I can’t help but rec this one catch me crying behind Owson’s @ 3am bc it’s just that good urgh I need an adult Could possibly be nsfw but I haven’t gotten that far in yet obvs

Relax

“I am home…” you called weakly as your boyfriend emerged from the kitchen. Noticing your exhausted state, he was about to ask you about your day, but you quickly cut him off, feeling the annoyance and disappointment in today’s today.

“Don’t ask, it was an awful day and I am glad it’s over” you grunted “Sorry, Jojo, I am just in a bad mood, shit’s stupid and life is annoying” you then gentle added, reassuring the man that it wasn’t his fault and you were just too dead for today.

“Say no more, babe!” Joseph suddenly proclaimed, helping you undress then taking you into his arms, carrying you towards the coach “let your amazing boyfriend help you on this harsh day! Do you want me to prepare a bath for you?” he then asked looking at you sighing at the softness of the couch as your neck was slowly but surely killing you.

“Sure” you answered.

“I’ll be quick” Jojo answered, kissing your forehead then going to the bathroom. You could hear Joseph managing something there, presumably different bottles. After a while you felt a pleasant aroma filling the room as Joseph added different oils to your bath, hoping it’ll help you relax more. You were ready to stand and go grab spare clothes however, Jojo emerged from the bathroom, quickly stopping you.

“No,no. You go relax in the bathtub while I will take care of everything” he kissed your cheek, then going to find you clean clothes as you entered the bathroom, feeling the warmth and pleasant smell hit you. Sighing tiredly, you undressed, letting yourself lie down in the bathtub as your stiff muscles finally started to relax after this mess of a day. Letting your worries disappear you concentrated on the feeling of warm water surrounding you. You felt like you might asleep any given moment due to how relaxed bath made you feel.

You heard a soft knock as your boyfriend’s voice could be heard on the other side of the door

“You alright there? I got you clean clothes. Should I leave them outside or may I enter?~” the last part of the sentence was in the usual Joseph’s cheekiness as the man couldn’t waste an opportunity to be smooth with you.

“You may” came the answer as your soft laugh filled the small room,

“There ya go” Joseph said, putting the fresh clean clothes near the sink, then retreating but not before lingering behind the half-closed door, eyeing you “Do you want tea or cocoa? I am making us food now so might as well pull the water to boil” Jojo asked, half of his torso appearing from the door.

“Tea would be nice” you answered

“Alright~ Don’t fall asleep on me here. Not when the best chef is in the kitchen” he winked before closing the door after himself.

As the water got colder with time and you felt your muscles relax, you were reading to leave the bath, feeling quite pleasant. After drying you hair and putting on fresh clothes, you excited the room, however, you weren’t expecting to be met with such a sight before you.

Pillows and blankets were scattered around the big coach as a teapot was placed on the table together with the multitude of different snacks and sweets. Before you could comment on such delightful scene before you, Jojo came in holding two plates what seems to be filled with home-made pasta. Feeling the pleasant smell enter your nose, your stomach couldn’t help but to growl oin anticipation.

“I am happy to see that you are ready to try the best pasta in your life” Joseph said excitedly as he put two plates on the table, eager to show off his cooking skills. However, as if remembering something, Joseph ran off in search of a particular thing “Ah, come sit, babe, I forgot one small detail”

As you sat down on the coach and looked at all the delicious looking food and snacks, you couldn’t help but to get emotional due to such sign of affection and support from your loving boyfriend.

“Found it!” Jojo entered the room again, now with a lit candle in his hand. Putting it carefully on the table, he sat next to you, wrapping his strong arms around your form “why such face, my love?” he asked as you couldn’t help but to tear up a bit.

“I just…I am so thankful, Jojo. Thank you for being there for me and doing all…..this” you pointed around yourself to the intimate atmosphere that surrounded you two. Dimmed lights together with delicious food and a loving partner by your side.

“It’s really nothing. I am happy if not flattered that you liked what I organized here but of course, it’s be we are talking about” Joseph commented while bringing you closer to his chest, cheeky smile complimenting his handsome features. He then continued in a gentle tone as you returned the hug

“I am sorry you had such a harsh day but I will make sure that it will end perfectly.”

“You always do” you commented, then teasing the brunette “I hope the chef didn’t poison my food~” as you remembered many failed attempts at some point in your relationship.

“Well….” He thought for a second “you try first”

“Jojo!”

Thank you for your request! As we don't know anything about Pen's family and I don't know about Hope's (lmao I will eventually watch the Originals), this is just to Lizzie and Alaric. I hope you enjoy!

"Are you sure about this?" Hope asked, holding her hands gently. "We can wait, if you want to."

Penelope stood beside her, one arm looped around Hope's waist. She nodded in agreement. "There's no rush, JoJo."

Josie knew they wouldn't mind if she stepped back. Her girlfriends would support her through thick and thin, it was entirely her decision. And whatever she chose would be completely fine with them.

But Josie wanted to do this.

Sure, she was afraid but she also knew this was the right decision. For her and for them. She'd been putting it off for too long and today, she wouldn't let fear win.

Josie smiled and nodded. "I know. I do want to tell them. I'm just nervous."

Her dad loved her and so did Lizzie; she was certain of that. But that didn't stop the tiny voice of fear that maybe they wouldn't accept her. That maybe they'd reject her and turn away, her deepest fear. She loved with her heart and didn't want it broken.

Hope squeezed her hands in reassurance. "I get it. Just remember, we're here too. We'll support you no matter what happens."

"We love you, JoJo," Penelope smiled.

Her heart did that tiny skip-beat. She would never get tired of hearing that. Were they moving too fast? Perhaps, but it felt right. She did love them—they loved her. Lying had never done her any good and she wanted nothing more than to be with both of them.

"Okay." Josie took a deep breath. "Wait in my room for me?"

They nodded.

This required a family gathering. Lizzie would already be there so she just needed to find her dad. And she knew where he'd be. He was always working, especially since the recent threat of Malivore was threatening the school. Exactly what he was working on, she never knew. But she knew he'd be in his office.

Josie opened the door and sure enough, there he was. Head down, even with the sky darkening to black outside. She never knew when and if he actually slept. A thought for another day.

"Dad?"

"Hey, Josie," Alaric looked up from his desk, a weary smile spreading across his face. "Um, can I help you?"

Josie nodded. "We… we need to talk. Can you come to my room?"

Alaric was out of his seat immediately, work forgotten. "Of course. Are you hurt? In trouble?"

Josie shook her head. "Nothing like that. It's not bad, I promise. Just… come. Lizzie's already there."

He looked like he wanted to question her more but closed his mouth and nodded. Waiting, trusting that what she said was true. Josie led the way back. The silence was nerve-wracking but lasted only a few minutes.

Hope and Penelope were sitting on her bed, noticeably not touching. Usually, Penelope at least was all over her but it seemed they were trying to be good for what was too happen. Josie suppressed a chuckle. Lizzie was on her bed, eyes narrowed at them.

"-you doing-?" She stopped when she saw her. "Oh, Josie, thank God. These two came in and won't leave."

"I asked them to be here."

Lizzie noticed their dad with her and her eyes narrowed even more. "What's going on?"

Josie closed the door and turned back. In this very room, almost all the people she cared deeply about. It was missing a few friends and her mom but for now, this was the step she was going to take. She took a deep breath. "So I've been deciding whether to tell you or not. But I am going to."

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement as Hope and Penelope rose.

"You know I'm pan," she said. "But I…" she hesitated.

"Does it maybe have something to do with these two?" her dad asked, nodding towards her girlfriends.

Josie nodded.

"I'm dating Hope and Penelope."

For a few seconds there was stunned silence. And then-

"Both of them?" Lizzie asked.

"Yes."

A hand pressed against hers before slipping between her fingers. And then on her other side. Hope and Penelope giving their silent support.

"Well, I-..." Lizzie trailed off, as she tried to figure out her words. "I support you, of course, but these two? Why am I not surprised?" Her eyes narrowed. "I knew you two were too fond of Josie."

"Lizzie."

Lizzie shrugged. "Just letting them know." She smiled. "I am a little protective. Hope, Penelope, take good care of her."

Penelope gave her a mock salute. "Naturally."

No matter how sharp she was, Lizzie only wanted the best for her. In her own way, she expressed it. Josie was glad. She'd really grown.

"Dad?"

Alaric smiled. "What do you want me to say? I love you and want you to be happy. So as long as you're happy, I… it's fine with me."

Why had she even been nervous about telling them? Of course, dating two people instead of the usual one was something that most people weren't used to but they were her family. And they loved her.

Josie squeezed their hands and they squeezed back. She couldn't help the tiny giddy feeling that bubbled in her chest. Like a drug letting her bloom, she smiled.

"I will, of course, be a little stricter on curfew knowing this."

"Dad!"

"Boyfriends or girlfriends, your studies come first." He was smiling though.

A brush of a whisper along her ear and then Hope murmured "Don't worry. We'll find a way around it."

A shiver of the promise ran down her spine and Josie awkwardly cleared her throat. "Yes! Um, well… that's it, I guess."

"Thank you for telling us," Alaric said gently. "I'm glad you were able to come to us."

Her family had never made her feel like she couldn't trust them. They fought as families did but never pushing her too far.

As her dad left, Josie flopped down on her bed.

"Well, I think that went well." Penelope flopped down next to her. "How you feeling?"

"Good "

Hope lay down next to them, crossing her hands under her chin. "What about our friends?"

"We can tell them tomorrow or someday after." Something for another day. For now, she was content just to lie with them and be happy.

"Am I going to have to deal with twice the sappiness now?" Lizzie groaned from her bed. "It was bad enough with Penelope but Hope too?"

Hope grinned and cuddled to Josie. "Sorry, Lizzie, but you'll have to deal with it."

Lizzie rolled her eyes but it was done in good humour. Her family accepted her, always had and she hoped always would. One of the reasons she loved them so much.
